Explorer Village

The Safari Journey at the Explorer Village is the main zone attraction. Another attraction in Dubai Safari Park Al Warqa is the specially curated Kids Farm, a fun-filled combination of a farm and a petting zoo. In the Kids Farm – Dubai Safari Park, the little ones learn about traditional farm animals like chickens, goats and sheep. Kids can connect with nature, learn how to ride ponies and visit the bird aviary.

Wadi, or the Valley area, is where you can host a picnic or grab a quick bite from the restaurants inside Dubai Safari Park. Both restaurants overlook the river. So, you can watch ducks, peacocks, swans and even pelicans while enjoying your food!

How to go to Dubai Safari Park by metro

For those who don’t have a car, the easiest way to get to Safari Park by public transportation is to take the Dubai Metro to the Creek Metro Station on the Green Line. From there you would need to take a taxi. The taxi ride from the Creek Metro to Dubai Safari Park is about 16 minutes.

How long does it take to go through Dubai Safari Park? Visitors can spend the whole day enjoying activities at the park. The duration of the visit may vary according to the rhythm of the guests and activities selected during the day. On average, our visitors may take 4 to 5 hours touring inside the park.
Can we bring food and drinks? The visitor can purchase food and drinks from the F&B outlets which can be consumed within the park premises.
What am I not allowed to bring to Dubai Safari Park? The visitors are not allowed to bring balloons, food from outside to feed the animals, Recreational devices such as drones, remote-control toys, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, bicycles, or shoes with built-in wheels.
Is our ticket good for more than 1 day? All tickets and private tour packages are valid for the same day.
Are pets allowed? Pets are not allowed in Dubai Safari Park. Only service animals are allowed in the park.
Are you open in the summer? Dubai Safari Park is closed from June to September because it is very hot for the animals to be on display. We do run limited summer packages during July and August. Check out our Instagram page for regular updates.
Do your hours vary during the year? Dubai Safari Park operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day.
Is smoking or vaping allowed in the park? Due to animal welfare, smoking or vaping is allowed in designated areas inside the park.

What should I wear to Dubai Safari Park? It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing and shoes for a more enjoyable experience. Dubai Safari Park is a government entity and a family environment. The use of respectful clothing is required within the park facilities (shoulders and knees should be covered). Guests who do not comply with the dress code may be stopped at the entrance of the park and asked to cover up.
Does the Zoo have strollers and wheelchairs? Dubai Safari Park has strollers and wheelchairs available for rent. Alternatively, you may bring your own stroller or wheelchair into the park. However, if you are taking our transportation, please note that you will need to fold the stroller before boarding the vehicles.
Are drones allowed? Drones are not allowed within the park to ensure the safety of guests and employees, protect the park's daily operations, and respect the privacy of guests.

Do you offer any collaboration with schools? Yes, we do collaborate with schools. We have a variety of programs in which we can support the school’s curriculum and extra-curricular activities. Our curriculum-based program is based on the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum.
What Educational Programs can you offer schools? We offer the below programs: 1- Education Package: Schools may visit Dubai Safari Park through a self-guided tour for the schools. Special Workshops can be provided for small groups of 30-50 students. 2- Outreach programs: In this program we visit the school. We can do a talk or a small workshop with the topic of sustainability, conservation or a topic based on their curriculum. 3- In-House Educational Workshops : In-house workshops are available at different times throughout the year in the park. Schools are more than welcome to join the workshops.

It is a program where we collaborate with a school club that aligns with our park’s educational vision and mission. Are any materials provided for students during the programs? We can provide worksheets for teachers for their visit to Dubai Safari Park on the Education Package. We also provide curriculum-based worksheets for the teachers to incorporate in their classrooms.

ZOOLOGY QUESTIONS

Does any of your interaction involve big cats or apes? None of our interactions involve big cats or apes.
Which animals are involved in the behind-the-scenes package? The animals involved in the behind-the-scenes package are: African Elephants, White Rhinoceros, Giraffe, Ring-tailed Lemur, some lizards, snakes, birds, and small mammals.
Are any interactions suitable for people of determination? Most of the interactions (presentations and animal feedings) are suitable for people of determination.
What do you do with your animals during the summer? Most of the animals are confined early before their habitats become too hot. For the desert species, they stay in their habitats the whole day. The animal care team prepares many enrichments for the animals to deal with the heat. Various cooling systems such as AC and misting systems are available around the animal areas to help combat the summer heat.
Are there any interactions that are suitable for kids under 12 years old? All the animal interactions are suitable for kids from 3 years old and above.
Why is flash photography not allowed? Dubai Safari Park recommends limiting the use of flash in areas with inadequate light such as the Reptile House or on animals that are in very close range. Flash photography may be used when ambient light conditions are adequate. Using the flashlight with wildlife may impact the behavioral response of the animal in question.
I found an injured/orphaned/abandoned animal, what do I do? If the injured/orphaned/abandoned animal found is within the Dubai Safari Park premises, you may report it to any of the staff on ground. If the animal is found outside of the DSP premises, you may report to any of the staff or call helpline: 800900.
Why are the Lions always sleeping? Lions are known to spend up to 21 hours a day resting and sleeping – they do this to preserve their energy and be able to use it when hunting for prey.
Why is the Gorilla alone? Most Silverbacks can live in solitary for months or even years spending this time to grow in strength and confidence. They bide their time hanging close to a group, attracting females to start a family group of its own. In some circumstances, the lone silverbacks may also take over the group if the alpha male is weak or old.
Why do you keep your Chimpanzees and Gorilla indoors? Both Gorilla and Chimpanzees have indoor habitats to allow them to cool off during the hottest parts of the day. When the weather is favorable, they spend most of their time in their outdoor habitats. The animal care team provides enrichments in their outdoor habitats when they are indoors to keep them active.
What do you do if there is an injured animal in your habitat? Depending on the type of injury, the animals are confined to separate the injured individual from the group. The rest of the group are sent back to their habitats.
Do you sell your animals? We do not sell our animals. Most of our animals are acquired through exchanges with accredited zoos for breeding and conservation purposes.
Can we touch the animals? The interactions with animals are included in the animal encounters and behind the scenes packages.
Can we feed the animals? There are also number of animals that can be fed, these are the ones that are included in the animal encounters and behind the scenes packages.

Dubai Safari Park is an AED 150 million project and is the replacement for the existing Zoo in Jumeirah. Spread over a massive 119 hectares, the Safari Park has 2,500 animals and aims to increase it to 5,000 by 2020 including 350 species of endangered animals. The Dubai Safari Park is divided into different zones, each with a different geographical theme to it. These include the African Village, Asian Village, and Al Wadi. There is also a special village called the Explorer Village where visitors can ride around in a safari car.

The entire park takes about 8 hours to experience completely and has fascinating features including air-conditioned rocks, chilled pools, misting machines, and more spread across to help reduce the heat in the air. Kids are given special importance in the park, and this is highlighted by the amount of kid-friendly, interactive exhibits, and activities. The park uses modern interactive methods in control and movement to ensure it provides a distinctive and unique experience for visitors. You may visit any of the 7 restaurants all with different cuisines or indulge in the street food experience at the venue.
Parking: There are over 3,500 parking spots in 3 different areas which are all free of charge. Visitors will be transferred from parking areas to the main gate and vice versa at no cost. However, you may purchase any of the 350 VIP parking lots with closer access to the park for an additional AED 50. These parking lots are covered with solar panels.
Shopping: The park has souvenir shops located within the premises from where you can purchase exclusive branded souvenirs. Make sure you stop by and pick up a toy either at the main gate or in the African Village.
Miscellaneous: The venue also provides ancillary facilities such as free Wi-Fi, Baby Changing Facility, Prayer Rooms, and more.

By metro : take the Green Line to the Creek Metro station and take a 20-minute taxi ride to Dubai Safari Park.

By bus: the closest stop is Dragon Mart or the Creek bus stop. From here, you can take a taxi to Dubai Safari Park.

Dubai Safari Park Map

Dubai Safari Park is spread on a vast 119 hectare land with different zones. To make sure that you know where you are at any point, it is better that you have the park map with you. You can easily download the Dubai Safari Park map onto your phone so that you’re aware of all the facilities available nearby you. You can also approach the park staff at any point to help you with any of your needs.

Discounted Tickets: People of Determination (people with disabilities) along with two companions can enter the park for free. Make sure to carry your SANAD Card to get your free entry.

Wheelchair Accessibility: The entire Dubai Safari Park is fully equipped to be accessed by wheelchair. You can avail wheelchairs at the guest service counter upon request at a nominal fee. All the park transportation, i.e. the buses, train and taxi are all wheelchair accessible. There are also wheelchair accessible toilets available on the premises.

Locker: There are no locker facilities available at the park. However, you can speak to the staff at the entrance and they will make sure to keep your belongings safe while you’re inside the park.
Prayer Rooms: Prayer rooms are available at the Main Building, the African Village, the Explorer Village and the Asian Village. Approach the staff to guide you to these rooms.
Wifi: You can avail free wifi during your visit in the park. You can get the name and password for the wifi network at the entrance.
First Aid: There is an in-house paramedics team available to assist you with any injuries or emergencies during the park operation hours.
Lost & Found: If you lose any of your belongings in the park, you can approach the staff or the main building to help you.
Baby Changing Rooms: There are baby changing rooms available in all the villages in the park.

Bait Al Qadeem: Located near the Chimpanzee House serves a variety of local Arabic and famous Persian dishes. The menu also represents the different communities in Dubai.

Dubai: Want to visit some of Dubai’s famous outdoor attractions before they close for the summer? Eid Al Fitr is the ideal time to experience these must-see places before they take a break during the summer months, before they reopen around September or October.

1. global village - closes on april 28, 2024.

This month, one of the UAE’s most famous outdoor attractions, Global Village , will end its 28th season after opening its doors six months ago in October 2023.

Explore the country pavilions, street food, entertainment shows, restaurants, weekly fireworks, and the Global Village Carnaval, which boasts over 195 rides, games, and attractions.

You can buy the tickets at the location but if you buy them online through the Global Village website - www.globalvillage.ae, you will get a 10 per cent discount . - Any day tickets – Dh30 (Dh27 online) - Weekday tickets – Dh25 (Dh22.50 online)

Timings - from 4pm to 2am during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

Location - The attraction is located on Mohamed Bin Zayed Road (E311) between the Arabian Ranches residential development and the IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park.

You can also reach Global Village by public transportation. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) operates direct bus routes to the family destination. Here are all the bus routes on the dedicated Global Village service within Dubai:

1. Route 102 - From Al Rashidiya Bus Station Gate 5 in Rashidiya 2. Route 103 - From Union Square Bus Station in Deira 3. Route 104 - From Al Ghubaiba Bus Station in Al Fahidi 4. Route 106 - From the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station 5. Route 107 - From Al Nahda (behind Sahara Centre)

If you are planning to come from Ras Al Khaimah, there is another bus route operated by the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), the details for which you can find here .

2. Dubai Miracle Garden - closes on June 2, 2024

In two months, Dubai Miracle Garden , the world’s largest natural flower garden, will end its 12th season.

The park boasts more than 150 million flowers and at least 120 varieties of plants, with the entire park spanning 72,000 square metres, filled with sculptures covered in flowers.

One of the most famous attractions at Dubai Miracle Garden is the Guinness World Record-breaking floral sculpture, which is in the shape of an Emirates Airbus A380. Another record-breaking attraction is the 18-metre sculpture of Mickey Mouse made with 100,000 plants and flowers.

- Dh95 for individuals above 12 years old. - Dh80 for children from three to 12 years old. - Free for children below three years old and People of Determination. There is also a 50 per cent discount on ticket fares for one adult accompanying the Person of Determination.

Timings - Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm and 9am to 10pm on weekends.

Location - Dubai Miracle Garden is in Al Barsha South, Street 3 in Dubailand, at the cross-section of Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Umm Suqeim Road (D63).

If you want to reach Dubai Miracle Garden by using public transport, you can first take the Metro to the Mall of Emirates (MOE) Metro Station and take the bus route 105 from MOE to Dubai Miracle Garden.

3. Dubai Safari Park - Closes on May 31, 2024

Dubai Safari Park, which is home to around 3,000 animals on a 119-hectare site will also end its 2023-2024 season soon, after opening in October 2023. According to the park's website, visitors can only book tickets till May 31, 2024.

The park is divided into different enclosures, representing wildlife from around the world. While you are there you can spot the African lion, Arabian Oryx, Sand Gazelle, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, impalas, elephants, and zebras.

There are various packages offered by Dubai Safari Park, based on what the visitors would like to do. The normal individual tickets start from: - Dh50 for adults - Dh20 for children from the ages of three to 12 years old.

Timings - from 10am to 6pm during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

Location - The Dubai Safari Park is in the Al Warqa 4 district, off E44 (Ras Al Khor Road). If you want to take public transportation, you can take the bus route F10 from Rashidiya Bus Station.
