The discount codes that very specifically say, “***Discount Codes are usually available around October. If it is before October, then any codes you see above are from prior years that may or may not work***”? Is that what you mean by “all the information”? Hi Amy – there is only 1 current discount code we have found in 2021. Because the show was cancelled in 2020, many of the 2021 tickets being used are from 2020, so there is not likely to be a lot of codes this year. Like every year, the codes are only good for certain shows on certain dates and that is determined by the Rockettes ticketing partner. The process is trial and error to find the right dates if you want to use discounts.

Hi Steve – I don’t know of any special discounts for the Christmas Spectacular, but as the codes above are all good for 20-50% off the ticket price, I can’t imagine a military discount would be any better. At the box office, you’ll pay retail price – the exact same as Ticketmaster, only without the print at home or shipping fees. So yes, you’ll save a little money buying at the box office, but the longer you wait to purchase, the lower the selection available as these tickets sell out like crazy.

Where are the rear orchestra seats based in the auditorium please. Are they good seats… We are from Ireland and want to come and see your show.. Thanks x

Hi Paula. Radio City Music Hall seating areas include Orchestra + 3 mezzanines. The Orchestra section goes from row AA to ZZ and then A to W, which is a total of 50 rows. AA to ZZ is front Orchestra and A to W are rear Orchestra. The first 10 Orchestra rows or so are known for making the audience crank their neck up high to see the stage (kind of like the front row at a movie theater). The best seats in the house are generally mid-Orchestra, around MM to ZZ and the 400 section is dead center with the 500 section fanning out left and the 300 section fanning out right. For example, this site shows you views from different seats.

The Christmas Spectacular is one of the city’s most beloved holiday traditions, and has been seen by more than 69 million people since it first started in 1933. It was definitely a huge loss when the show was canceled in 2020 and further disappointing when the season got cut short in 2021 , but 2023’s return couldn’t be more highly anticipated! Here’s everything you need to know!

What is the Radio City Christmas Spectacular?

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is an annual holiday performance presented by the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Produced by the Madison Square Garden Company, the Christmas tradition dates back to 1933, and features a mix of festive dance, music, and comedy!

Who are the Radio City Rockettes?

The Radio City Rockettes are made up of 80+ talented women that come from all walks of life! From college students and to accountants and teachers, the Rockettes come together from everywhere to perform the iconic show during the Christmas season.

This year, there are 14 brand new Rockettes , all coming from the Rockettes Conservatory, an intensive dance program studying the Rockettes style to train dancers and create an all encompassing pipeline. Height ranges were expanded last year to be more inclusive, now ranging from 5’5”-5’10½” for the dancers.

When is the Radio City Rockettes’ Christmas Spectacular running?

This year’s show runs through January 1st, 2024! There are 4 showings per day during the week and 5 showings per day on the weekends.

Where do the Radio City Rockettes perform?

The Radio City Rockettes perform the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall in Midtown. To get there, take the B, D, F or M to 47th-50th Sts–Rockefeller Ctr, or the 1 to 50th St–Broadway.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular 2023 schedule

From now all the way until the new year, there will be multiple shows every single day at Radio City Music Hall .

After scouring the schedule, it appears most high-kicking 90-minute performances (featuring more than 140 performers and an original score to boot) will take place at either 2 p.m., 5 p.m. or 8 p.m.

Some particularly busy days will have shows at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

What Is The Rockettes’ “Christmas Spectacular”?

As one of New York City’s longest-running holiday attractions, the Radio City Rockettes have become a globally renowned dance troupe boasting unparalleled proficiencies in tap, modern, jazz, ballet, and more since their debut in 1925. Their marquee “Christmas Spectacular” production has changed greatly over the years, but each performance has consistently showcased spell-binding choreography, an original symphonic score that blends traditional Christmas songs with the Rockettes’ modern flair, and staple numbers like “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” and “The Living Nativity.”

The current 90-minute production includes over 140 performers. The Rockettes also continue to innovate each year, most recently with the reimagined “Dance of the Frost Fairies” sequence, which now incorporates fairy-drones that soar above the audience.

The 2023 Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes will run daily from November 17th to January 1st, 2024. Starting in December, the holiday celebration will feature five performances every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; four performances on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; and three performances apiece on Tuesdays. Wheelchair Info

For patrons who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, we will store your wheelchair in the rear of the section and issue you a claim check. Mobility-impaired patrons who do not have access to a wheelchair may request a wheelchair to transport the individual to their seat, free of charge. Please be aware that our personnel will not remain with you during the event, nor will they allow you to remain in the wheelchair for the duration of the event.

Please enter via the main doors located under the marquee on the corner of 50th Street and Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue). An automatic door opener is located on the exterior wall near the far left door—easily operated by pushing—and will lead you to the ticket lobby.

There are restrooms in Radio City Music Hall that are usable and accessible for wheelchair patrons. There is one stall with grab bars on the First, Second and Third Mezzanine in the men and women’s restrooms—located in the back promenade near Aisles A & B. There are two wheelchair accessible stalls each in the Grand Lounge men and women’s restrooms, one each of which has a sink, hand dryer, mirror and grab bars.

Payphones in Radio City Music Hall are usable and accessible for patrons with disabilities. TTY pay telephones are also available for our speech impaired, deaf and hard of hearing patrons. The wheelchair accessible pay telephones and TTY pay telephones are located off the Grand Lounge as well as on the First Mezzanine in the back promenade near Aisle E.

Water Fountain

Water fountains are usable and accessible for patrons with disabilities. For your convenience, disposable cup dispensers are located adjacent to each water fountain. The water fountains are located on First, Second and Third Mezzanine in the back promenade near Aisles C and F, as well as in the Grand Lounge.

The box office at Radio City Music Hall is located inside the main entrance on 6th Avenue at the corner of 50th Street. The box office at Radio City Music Hall is regularly open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and closed on Sunday. Box office hours are adjusted during the Christmas Spectacular season.

Folding Armrests

Radio City Music Hall offers seating with movable armrests and larger chairs without armrests. Please contact the Accessibility Services Department at least 48 hours in advance of the event if you require this type of accommodation.

When is the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes 2023?

This year's Radio City Christmas Spectacular, officially known as The Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes , runs from November 17, 2023 through January 4, 2024. The show is performed from two to five times a day, with rotating companies of performers.

2023 Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes Reveals Slate of Accessible Options

The slate of accessible programming kicks off with the production’s first-ever sensory-friendly performance.

A full slate of accessible options have been announced for the 2023 Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, as part of the Company’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all guests at the acclaimed holiday production. The slate of accessible programming kicks off with the production’s first-ever sensory-friendly performance, in partnership with Theatre Development Fund (TDF) through their Autism Friendly Performances Program. Additional accessible performances include American Sign Language performances, an open caption performance, and an audio description performance. This is in addition to the venue’s ongoing partnership with Kulture City, which has trained guest facing staff and provides sensory bags upon request to guests at all performances of the Christmas Spectacular.

“Our number one priority is ensuring that all fans of The Rockettes and Radio City Music Hall can comfortably enjoy the magic of the Christmas Spectacular,” said Jessica Tuttle, Senior Vice President, Productions, MSG Entertainment. “We are committed to expanding our accessible offerings and are thrilled to partner with organizations like TDF as we continue to work towards creating an environment that is inclusive for all guests.”  

The sensory-friendly performance, which is produced in partnership with TDF, will take place on Sunday, November 19 at 9:00AM.  The production will incorporate various adjustments including softer stage lighting and audio, and additional house lighting. Radio City Music Hall’s Grand Lounge will transform into a sensory-safe space equipped with soft seating areas and fidget tools designed to provide guests an opportunity to reorient themselves. TDF and Radio City Music Hall will have dedicated staff trained in sensory needs onsite to ensure all guests feel supported throughout the event. Tickets for the November 19 sensory-friendly performance are available exclusively via TDF at www.tdf.org/rockettes. Tickets are limited so as to allow for more spaced-out seating in the venue.  

In addition to the sensory-friendly performance, American Sign Language interpreters will be available at the 11:00AM performances on Saturday, November 18 and Wednesday, December 13; and the 5:00PM performance on Sunday, December 10. An open-captioned performance, which provide text-based assistance to spoken word via a large, three-line, LED sign adjacent to the stage, will take place on Wednesday, December 6 at 5:00PM. An audio described performance, which provides a live description of the onstage action via headsets to patrons who are blind or visually impaired, will take place on Wednesday, December 13 at 5:00PM.    

Radio City Music Hall is also a proud partner of Kulture City, which works with venues to provide sensory bags, containing special Kulture City VIP (KCVIP) badges, fidget tools, noise canceling headphones and other resources. Kulture City sensory bags, as well as assistive listening devices and relay calls made through a TTY machine, are available for guests during all performances of the Christmas Spectacular at the Guest Services Desk in the Grand Foyer.

This past holiday season, Haley got to experience The Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockette s on opening day of the 2021 season, along with a bus full of excited passengers! Here are her key takeaways from the festive day trip.

As we boarded the bus, everyone was filled with excitement and holiday cheer, including our Program Director Lynn who was even wearing Santa’s hat. The ride to New York was easy and comfortable and we arrived to the Hard Rock Café for lunch with plenty of time to spare.

Our trip was a lunch special, which meant lunch was included at the Hard Rock Café, located just blocks from Radio City. The Hard Rock Café and Radio City require that all eligible guests be fully vaccinated, so guests 12 years and older needed to show proof of vaccination before entering either establishment.

Our group was seated in our own special section of the Hard Rock Café where we were able to enjoy lunch with the people we were traveling with. Lunch was delicious and once we finished, we were ready to walk over to Radio City to make it to the 2:00 p.m. show.

When we arrived at Radio City, our vaccine cards were checked again and then we were cleared to head into the theater. The entire venue, from lobby to main theatre, was decorated immaculately. Wreaths, bows, Christmas Trees and ornaments all adorned the entire lobby and really made you feel that warm Christmas feeling.

Concessions had classic options like popcorn and pretzels along with soda, water and some alcoholic beverages too. The souvenir shops had all things Christmas Spectacular- t-shirts, pajamas, snow globes and more! On the lower level there was even a replica dressing room that the Rockettes get ready in that serve as the perfect photo opportunity for aspiring Rockettes and families alike.

When we entered the theatre, we were given 3D glasses for the 3D portion of the show, and we quickly found our seats in the orchestra section. The theatre had projections of Christmas fun all the way up to the ceiling and the audience was buzzing for the show to start.

The show began promptly at 2:00 p.m. and kicked off with the pit orchestra rising from below the stage to play us a medley of holiday songs before the Rockettes hit the stage!

The Rockettes dazzled the audience with dance numbers to some of our favorite holiday songs and filled us to the brim with Christmas cheer. Some of our favorite numbers included the 12 Days of Christmas, the New York Sightseeing Bus and of course the Toy Soldier dance. The dancers are truly incredible and we loved every second.

They weren’t the only ones there to impress either, Santa was following along throughout the entire show and kept the fun coming, we loved when everyone on stage turned into Santa!

Towards the end of the show is a performance set to the Christmas song “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and it was jaw dropping. The singing was phenomenal, the scene the actors set was amazing and there were even live animals on stage to help set the Nativity scene- camels, sheep and a donkey.

After the show ended, the group traveled back to Bryant Park where the bus picked us up and we headed back to the Capital Region full of Christmas magic. The Radio City trip is such a fun tradition for families to start this holiday season and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.
