WWE Announces More Live Events, Including Date for ‘Extreme Rules’

The schedule for WWE ’s return to touring continues to take shape with the addition of 11 new dates.

Included in the new tour dates that were announced on Friday is the news that this year’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view will be held at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday, Sept. 26. It will air live on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network everywhere else.

Extreme Rules is the third PPV in WWE’s return to touring. The first PPV with fans back in attendance will be Money in the Bank at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on Sunday, July 18. Las Vegas’s Allegiant Stadium will then host SummerSlam on Saturday, Aug. 21.

The following shows were also added to WWE’s touring schedule on Friday:

• Saturday, Sept. 11: WWE Supershow — Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
• Sunday, Sept. 12: WWE Supershow — Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y.
• Monday, Sept. 13: Raw —  TD Garden in Boston, Mass.
• Friday, Sept. 17: SmackDown —  State Farm Arena in Atlanta
• Saturday, Sept. 18: WWE Live — North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, S.C.
• Sunday, Sept. 19: WWE Live — James Brown Arena in Augusta
• Monday, Sept. 20: Raw  — PNC Arena in Raleigh
• Friday, Sept. 24: SmackDown —  Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia
• Saturday, Sept. 25: WWE Supershow — Giant Center in Hershey, Pa.
• Monday, Sept. 27: Raw — Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati

Tickets for those shows and Extreme Rules will go on sale on Friday, July 16 at 10 a.m. local time in each market.

WWE Supershow and WWE Live are non-televised house shows. The Supershows will include wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown rosters.

WWE’s September schedule also includes the company’s return to Madison Square Garden for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The Sept. 10 episode of SmackDown will take place at Madison Square Garden, and it’s being advertised that the show will feature the top stars from both Raw and SmackDown.

This Friday’s SmackDown and next Monday’s Raw are the final shows of the WWE ThunderDome era. WWE’s first show back on the road will be the July 16 edition of SmackDown at the Toyota Center in Houston.

WWE Announces Early 2023 Schedule, Raw 30 Year Anniversary Location

The 30th anniversary of wwe monday night raw is coming in january 2023 and a location for the milestone episode is announced..

WWE has announced 30 more live events starting in January leading up to WrestleMania. What was also included in the announcement is the location of Raw’s 30-Year Anniversary celebration.

The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia will play host to the 30-year anniversary of Raw celebration on Monday, January 23rd. If history is any indication, there should be a lot of WWE’s biggest stars from the past on hand to celebrate 30 years of Raw. Tickets go on sale on November 18.

WWE announces return of live crowds with 25-city tour beginning in July

Wwe will be on tour for the first time since march 2020.

For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE is returning to a live tour. On Friday, the promotion announced a 25-city live tour that will begin in July.

The tour kicks off with a trio of shows from Texas. On July 16, SmackDown will be held from Houston's Toyota Center. July 18 features the Money in the Bank pay-per-view from Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. And on July 19, Raw lands at American Airlines Center in Dallas. Tickets for those events go on sale May 26. Dates and venues beyond July 19 will be announced in the near future.

In mid-March 2020, WWE moved events to the empty WWE Performance Center in Orlando, continuing to hold their weekly television and monthly pay-per-view events without a crowd. WWE launched the ThunderDome that August, placing nearly 1,000 LED boards inside Orlando's Amway Center to allow fans to attend events "virtually" and returning to high production values that were unavailable in the Performance Center.

In December, the ThunderDome was relocated to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida before an April move to Yuengling Center in Tampa.

Since the start of the pandemic, the only WWE event to feature live fans was April's two-day WrestleMania 37, which was held with limited fans in Tampa's Raymond James Stadium.

WWE is getting back on the road.

The sports entertainment company announced Friday that it will return to its live touring schedule this summer, with a 25 city tour schedule set to run from July through Labor Day.

The tour will kick off with three shows in Texas: a taping of “SmackDown” on July 16 at the Toyota Center in Houston; the “Money in the Bank” pay-per-view at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on July 18; and finally a taping of “Monday Night Raw” at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on July 19. Tickets for the three events will go on sale May 26 at 11 am ET. Additional tour dates will be announced at a later date.

News of the live tour dates come around a month after WWE hosted fans for the first time in over a year during the company’s flagship PPV event, WrestleMania 37. The event, which was held over two nights in April, took place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. Capacity was capped, though both nights still sold out, with 25,675 fans each night (51,350 total).

For months, WWE has been staging events as part of its ThunderDome residency, which moved to Tampa’s Yuengling Center in April. The ThunderDome set up was first established in August 2020 after WWE staged shows, including WrestleMania 36, with no fans for months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ThunderDome features large LED screens that virtually bring fans into the arena via live video, in conjunction with the Famous Group and its proprietary technology. It also features pyrotechnics, lasers, graphics, and drone cameras.
