1. Disneyland Paris Low Season /High Season

The high season and low season in Disneyland Paris are the same as in the French capital. The Disneyland Paris low season is considered from 1 November to 31 March, except for Halloween (up to the first week of November) and the holiday season (from 11 November to the 7th of January this year). Disneyland Paris at Christmas is always one of the busiest periods!

The low season is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris to avoid crowds, and the tickets to the park are also cheaper, but the weather may not be ideal. Also, there may be fewer scheduled shows and events during these periods.

The high season in Disneyland Paris  is considered from 1st April to 31st October. It means better weather and more hours of daylight but also the Disneyland Paris busiest days and long lines for the rides.

As frequent visitors to the parks, we often get asked when is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris. Our first thought is every single day but, of course, each month of the year brings a different experience at Disneyland Paris.

When choosing the best time to visit, there are a number of things to consider and we’ve covered them all. From crowd levels and pricing to seasonal events and spectacular celebrations, we wanted to share our favourite times to visit and our month-by-month guide to the best times to visit Disneyland Paris.

Our 5 best times to Visit Disneyland Paris

I’ll do a month-by-month run-through in a moment but, first, I wanted to share some of our favourite times to visit Disneyland Paris.

Summer 2024 Offer at Disneyland Paris

1 | Avoid the Crowds (mid-January to early February)

After the Christmas and New Year crowds disperse in the first week, the remainder of January is one of the quietest times in the park. With crowds and wait times at their lowest you can also benefit from tickets and accommodation which are typically less expensive at this time of year.

Best time to visit Disneyland Paris tip: we visited at the end of Janaury 2024 and had a wonderful time. It was cold but the sun was shining and we loved the experience of lower crowds in the parks. The kids wore warm hats and coats and they had thermal leggings under their trousers – they didn’t complain about the cold. We’ve booked to return at the same time next year!

2 | Disney’s Halloween Festival (October to Early November)

Halloween is such a fun time to visit Disneyland Paris and we love this spooktacular festival. In 2024, the Halloween season runs from 1st October 2024 to 3rd November 2024 and it’s a fabulous time in the parks.

We visited during Halloween and Disneyland Paris was decorated with pumpkins, ghouls and dancing skeletons! We met villains including Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil and Maleficent and Jake Skellington greeted guests outside Phantom Manor. Other characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse are dressed for the occasion at their meet and greets. There’s also a spectacular Halloween parade and special Halloween-themed treats.

3 | Disney’s Enchanted Christmas (Mid-November to Early January)

The Christmas season is a wonderful time of the year at Disneyland Paris. Disney’s Enchanted Christmas runs from 9th November 2024 until 6th January 7 2025.

Disneyland Park is so festive with its magical Christmas decor, a meet and greet with Santa and a spectacular Christmas Parade. Over in Walt Disney Studios Park, there is a winter market full of treats in the food trucks in L’Hiver Gourmand.

4 | World Princess Week (typically late August)

Princess fans will adore World Princess Week at Disneyland Paris and, after running in 2022 and 2023, we are hopeful it will become an annual celebration and return in 2024.

World Princess Week features a week of Royal festivities and, in 2023, it included:

• Moana, Tiana, Merida and Mulan appearing on the Castle Stage
• Meets with the Disney Princesses – Merida met guests at the Frontierland Gazebo, Cinderella near the Old Mill and Rapunzel at L’Arbre Enchanté
• Princess-themed treats at Victoria’s Home-Style Restaurant – a Princess Aurora Strawberry Cream Cake and a Little Mermaid Milkshake were among the 2023 delights

5 | Summer Holidays (July and August)

With two school-age kids, we often visit Disneyland Paris during the summer months. It’s a popular and busy time but we still absolutely love it – the mix of sunny days, packed schedules, long opening hours and the general summer vibe is a winner for us!

3 Key Factors in Crowds and Accommodation/Ticket Costs at Disneyland Paris

No matter when you plan to visit, there are 3 key things to take into account when planning your visit:

1 | Secure the Best Price by Booking Early

One of the most important things to remember when booking a visit to Disneyland Paris is to BOOK EARLY! The hotel and ticket packages tend to be at their least expensive when they are first released and, as availability decreases, the prices continue to increase. So even if you’re planning to visit during typical lower-cost, off-peak periods, you will still want to reserve as early as possible so you can benefit from the best price.

Best Time to Visit Disneyland Paris tip: we’ve paid more for last minute off-peak reservations than when we’ve planned ahead and reserved a hotel and tickets package during the most popular times in the park. We always try and reserve ahead of time as much as possible!

2 | Weekdays are generally quieter than weekends

With the exception of public holidays and big events (for example, the launch of a new show or seasonal celebration), weekdays tend to be quieter than weekends. This results in lower wait times and lower prices than over weekends.

3 | School Holidays are Busier (remember to consider French school holidays!)

As you might expect, school holidays are among the busiest times in Disneyland Paris. I’ve outlined the French and UK school holidays in our month-by-month planner below – we really love visiting during the May mid-term as this is one of the few times when the UK and French school holidays don’t overlap so the parks might be a little less busy.

Best Times to Visit Disneyland Paris: Month by Month

If you are trying to decide on the best time to visit Disneyland Paris then this month-to-month guide will help you with your planning:

Weather: cold and/or wet Opening Hours: In 2024, Disneyland Park closed at 8pm on weekdays, 10pm on Saturdays and 9pm Sundays. Walt Disney Studios Park closed at 7pm on weekdays and 9pm on weekends

• First week of January (High Crowds): Disneyland Paris’ Christmas celebrations typically wrap up at the end of the first week of January. With most schools still closed for the Christmas holidays, this week is typically very busy and tickets and accommodation are more expensive.
• Rest of the month: a great time to visit if you value lower crowds, wait times and prices. Some attractions may be closed and shows on hiatus as a result but this also happens throughout the year – you can check upcoming attraction closures for the next 2 months on the Disneyland Paris website here .

Weather: cold and/or wet Opening Hours: In 2024, Disneyland Park closed at 8pm and Walt Disney Studios Park at 7pm for the first few days of February. For the rest of the month, Disneyland Paris Park closed at 10pm and Walt Disney Studios Park at 9pm.

• First week of February: similar to mid/late January. It is a great time to visit if you value lower crowds, wait times and prices. Some attractions may be closed and shows on hiatus as a result but this also happens throughout the year
• Rest of Month: the remainder of February is busier and this is mostly driven by French and UK school holidays. French schools have a 2-week winter holiday which takes place across 4 weeks from February 9 2025 to March 9 2025 (there are 3 French school zones and they each take a different 2-week block so it stretches to 4 weeks in total). UK schools typically close for a week in mid-February.

Weather: weather starts to warm up a little but is still on the chilly side Opening Hours: opening hours varied throughout March 2024. For most of the month, Disneyland Park closed at either 9pm or 10pm although there were a few 8pm closures and one 7.30pm. Walt Disney Studios Park remained open to 10pm on most weekends with weekdays at 7.30pm to 9pm.

• Early March: remains busy until the end of the Winter Holiday for French schools (for 2025 this is March 9)
• Mid to late March: with the crowds returning to lower levels and the weather starting to improve, mid to late March is an awesome time to visit Disneyland Paris. Wait times are typically low and you should be able to benefit from lower accommodation prices compared to peak times.

Weather: warmer days Opening Hours: In 2024, Disneyland Park closed at 11pm and Walt Disney Studios Park closed at 10pm.

• April: April is likely to be a busy month in 2025 with the French school holidays and Easter. The French School Spring Holidays run through most of the month (April 6 2025 to May 4 2025) and Easter Sunday falls on April 20th so the entire month is likely to be busy in 2025.

Weather: warmer days and evenings Opening Hours: On most days in 2024, Disneyland Park closed at 11pm and Walt Disney Studios Park closed at 10pm.

• Early and late May: Spring Holiday for French schools end in early May (for 2025 this is May 4) and UK schools typically close the last week of May for half term so higher crowds are likely.
• Mid to late May : with the crowds returning to lower levels and the chance of some summer weather, mid to late May is an awesome time to visit Disneyland Paris. Wait times are typically low and you should be able to benefit from lower accommodation prices compared to peak times.

Weather: warmer days and evenings Opening Hours: On most days in 2024, Disneyland Park closed at 11pm and Walt Disney Studios Park closed at 10pm (check out our Disneyland Paris opening hours for more info)

• June: a fantastic time to visit. Good weather, long park days and no major school holidays to note. Weekends tend to be busier but weekdays are usually a real treat during June.
• Disneyland Paris Pride : in June 2022 and 2023, Disneyland Paris held a huge celebration for Disneyland Paris Pride. This is an incredible day to visit the parks and celebrate – in 2024 Disneyland Paris will celebrate Pride on June 29, 2024

July and August

Weather: hottest months at Disneyland Paris Opening Hours: On most days in 2024, Disneyland Park closed at 11pm and Walt Disney Studios Park closed at 10pm. There are some earlier closings during the Olympics (check out our Disneyland Paris opening hours for more info)

• July 14: Bastille Day is one the busiest public holidays in France and, in 2023, Disneyland Paris celebrated with Europe’s largest drone show. It’s a busy day in the parks and prices are high.

Best time to visit Disneyland Paris tip: we arrived at Disneyland Paris on July 15 2023 and we felt the crowds had returned to levels that were pretty typical for summer but the 14th itself was sold out and the hotels at full capacity.

• Late August: crowds and prices tend to be lower as the school holidays come to an end. Disneyland Paris celebrated World Princess towards the end of August in 2022 and 2023.
• Rest of July and August : crowds are high and it’s an expensive time to visit but we still absolutely love July and August in the parks. Long, sunny days are a regular occurrence, the outdoor pools are open in the onsite hotels and the summer vibe is strong.

Weather: warmer days and evenings Opening Hours: On most days in 2024, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park closed between 9pm and 10pm.

• September : similar to June, September is a great time to visit. Good weather, long park days and no major school holidays to note. Weekends tend to be busier and more expensive but weekdays are usually quieter and accommodation less expensive.

Weather: cooler days and evenings Opening Hours: On most days in October 2024, Disneyland Park closed at 10pm and Walt Disney Studios Park closed at 9pm.

• October: with the Halloween season starting on October 1 2024, the entire month is likely to be busy and accommodation pricier.

• Halloween week: Halloween and the days surrounding it are some of the most popular in the park so expect a notable peak in both pricing and wait times. French schools close for their All Saints Holidays (October 20 to November 3 2024) and UK schools close for the Autumn Midterm at the end of the month so it’s an optimum time to visit for many families. We still wholeheartedly recommend visiting during October as Disneyland Paris celebrates Halloween in style!

Weather: typically cold O pening Hours: 2024 opening hours have not yet been released – check here for the latest calendar

• First week in November: with schools closed and the Halloween celebrations continuing, this is a busy week in Disneyland Paris.
• November 4 to November 8: the period between the Halloween and Christmas festivities is generally quieter than the rest of the month. It’s a great time to visit in terms of pricing and crowds but we’d recommend that you try and overlap part of the stay with either Christmas or Halloween season as the Disneyland Paris festivities are just too good to miss!
• November 9 onwards: prices and crowds increase again with the Christmas festivities kicking off. It’s a magical time to visit and we think it’s more than worth the longer wait times and higher prices.

• Early to Mid-December: weekdays tend to be quieter and accommodation is less expensive on these nights so, if you want to celebrate the Christmas season at Disneyland Paris, take advantage if you can! Weekends typically see high crowds and high pricing.
• Late December: peak, peak season at Disneyland Paris. Expect high crowds and prices but it’s worth it to celebrate the magic of Christmas at Disneyland Paris.

Are you looking for the best time to visit Disneyland Paris? In my opinion there is no one best time to go Disneyland Paris and it really depends on what is important to you in your visit. In this guide we will do a month by month breakdown to show you the best month to visit Disneyland Paris alongside the least busy and cheapest times to visit Disneyland Paris.

We have been lucky enough to visit Disneyland Paris throughout the year as annual pass holders. As such we think we are well positioned to give you an overview of the best time to go to the parks. 

In this guide we ill first look at the pros and cons of each month individually before we look at the least crowded and cheapest time to visit Disneyland Paris 

Note: it may come as no surprise that it is almost always quieter at Disneyland Paris on a weekday as opposed to the weekend (outside of holidays when all bets are off). Best Month to Visit Disneyland Paris

Visiting Disneyland Paris in January Tips

Generally speaking if you want to go to Disneyland Paris at a time that is both cheap and less crowded then January may be the perfect month for you to visit. 

The crowds tends to be less at Disneyland Paris in January providing you visit outside of the UK and European school holidays and once the Christmas season at Disneyland Paris has ended. If you do visit in during the beginning of January when the Christmas season is still on the crowds will in fact be at their peak all year. 

Also if you are visiting in January you will find that it is one of the cheaper months to visit the parks so is a great option for those traveling to Disneyland Paris on a budget . 

However some of the downsides to visiting in January can be the weather. The weather in January can be very cold and you will need to pack lots of layers to enjoy your vacation. There is also a chance that you may get a rainy day at Disneyland Paris   if you are visiting in January. 

Also as you are visiting Disneyland Paris in the winter you will find that the operational hours are greatly reduced compared with visiting Disneyland Paris in Summer.  However the up side of these is that if you are traveling to Disneyland Paris with toddlers you are likely to be able to keep them up to enjoy the fireworks and illuminations.

Visiting Disneyland Paris in February is similar to visiting in January for many reasons. Firstly its opening hours are almost identical and the weather in February can be very cold still. In fact you are very likely to experience at least one rainy day in your Disneyland Paris itinerary in February. 

Also there is a chance that because of the reduced crowds the parks may have scheduled some rides for closure for essential maintenance. 

However there are benefits to visiting in this month. Firstly February is one of the cheaper and quieter months to visit if you plan on doing so outside of the school holidays. 

Times to avoid visiting in February include the UK February half term and the European Holidays in mid February. 

For February 2023 the half term break is expected to be around Friday 10th February with the schools going back on Monday 20th February.  And the February half term in 2024 is expected to start on or around Friday 9th February with the kids going back on Monday 19th February.

Disneyland Paris in March is a really difficult month to predict in terms of crowds and costs and therefore to assess whether it is a month you want to visit. 

The reason for this is that it largely depends on when Easter is to whether or not March is a good time to visit. 

If Easter falls over March then you will likely experience very high crowds. However if Easter in the year you are visiting falls in April, you won’t see crowds as high.

For March 2023 there are no public holidays in France and Easter actually falls in April that year. So you can expect the crowds to be lighter than in years when Easter is in March. However usually March gets busier towards the end of the month as Easter approaches. 

However if you are planning to visit Disneyland Paris in March 2024 then please note the following public holidays:

• 29th March – Good Friday
• 31st March – Easter Sunday

In other terms however March may be a great month to visit. For instance, the weather is no where near as cold in March as it is in March, and if you aren’t visiting during a holiday then you can also expect the costs to be moderate for Disneyland Paris. It is also the last chance for any type of low season before late autumn as April is the start of peak season at Disneyland Paris. 

Visiting Disneyland Paris in April

Disneyland Paris in April is usually the start of peak season and has some of the busiest times in the parks. 

For the next couple of years the Easter holidays will fall over the month of April which will of course cause the crowds to swell. 

Public holidays in France, and also the UK, tend to lead to the crowds beginning to swell as people use their day off to hear to the park. There are several public holidays in France in April 2023 that you should be aware of when planning your trip:

• 7th April: Good Friday
• 10th April: Easter Monday

You will find the crowds over this Easter weekend will be very high and this will continue over the school holidays. 

However you will be rewarded with some good weather in the parks in April. The weather won’t be too hot like it is in summer or too cold as it can be for some over Winter. 

Visiting Disneyland Paris in May

Disneyland Paris in May  is in my opinion one of my favorite times to visit the parks. One of the reasons for this is because of the relatively temperate weather in the month (although this does not mean there won’t be any rain). 

However it is worth pointing out that there are some extremely busy days at Disneyland Paris in May. Days that are very busy in the park are:

• May 1st – Labor Day
• May 8th – Victory in Europe Day
• May 18th  – Ascension Day

Also if you are visiting during the UK Whitsun Holidays, which for 2023 are scheduled for c.May 26th – 6th June 2023 (give or take based on local areas), you can expect the crowds to be very busy.

But what about if you are thinking about visiting Disneyland Paris in June ? The truth is that as the weather in Paris heads towards summer, you will find that the crowds in the park start to swell.

In fact I would say that June  is the start of the peak summer season but the crowds are definitely not at their highest in June compared to the rest of the summer months. However the start of June may see larger crowds if you are visiting during the UK Whitsun school holidays which in 2023 do push over into June. 

It is also worth noting that in June there is the Disneyland Paris Pride which will be held on 17th June 2023. This is a hugely popular event so you can expect crowds to be high on this day. 

Visiting Disneyland Paris in July

There is not way to sugar coat it, Disneyland Paris in July is one of the busiest months to visit. You can expect to reach capacity often in July. 

The reason for the parks being busy in July are down to the French school holidays usually starting around the second week of July. The rest of Europe also starts at a similar time which is much earlier than English school holidays. 

Also there are some public holidays in France such as Bastille Day on 14th July which is one of the busiest holidays in France. 

It is also worth saying that although the crowds tend to be at their peak in July, you also get the benefit of longer operational hours at Disney in the summer. 

You can also expect pretty good weather in July. July isn’t one of the rainiest months, and you can expect relatively good weather. However due to the heat you will definitely need to dress for the weather. Be sure to check out our what to wear in Disneyland Paris whatever the month for more information.

It is definitely worth considering staying on site if you travel to Disneyland Paris in July. The reason for this is that by staying at an on-site hotel you get early magic hours which allow you in the parks early and will help you get more rides done before the crowds arrive.

Disneyland Paris in August is actually one of the busiest times of year to visit – though not actually the busiest.

The Disneyland Paris Crowd Calendar for August tells us that August is busier at the beginning of the month than at the end. That is because at the beginning of August the British, French, Dutch, Spanish and German school children have their summer holidays. Basically every European country has a holiday at the start of August. 

However, although British schools don’t go back to school until September, other European countries go back to school from the middle to end of August so it will start to get quieter as the month goes on. 

But despite the crowds the park is open longer in August than they are in the Winter months. It is also worth trying to stay on site in August as you will get Early Magic Hours which will help you try and beat the crowds and get on some rides without large queues. 

For me, one of the pros to visit Disneyland Paris in August is the weather as it tends to be dry and hot. However for some the weather may be too hot, especially if you are traveling to Disneyland Paris pregnant or with babies for instance. 

Usually the weather at Disneyland Paris in august is on average around 20ºC but will often hover around the mid twenties and even reach the 30s on a hot year. 

herefore it is important to think through what you pack for Disneyland Paris in August and plan your day to make use of the shade and get out of the Midday sun. 

Visiting Disneyland Paris in September 

Visiting Disneyland Paris In September – what is the castle at Disneyland Paris

Are you wondering if visiting Disneyland Paris in September is a good time to go? Well I have good, no great news for you. In my opinion it is one of the best months to visit Disneyland Paris due to the combination of good weather and lack of crowds. 

In terms of business, there are no school holidays in the UK, France or the rest of Europe during September which automatically makes it quieter. On top of that there are no public holidays to worry about. There are also no seasonal events that cause crowds to swell. 

Another pro to visiting Disneyland Paris in September is that the weather is still pretty good without the super high temperatures that you can get in August. 

Also if you visit during the last week of September (depending on the year) you may get to see the Disneyland Paris Halloween decorations. 

If you want low crowds then September may be one of my favorite picks for the best time to go to Disneyland Paris. 

Visiting Disneyland Paris in October

Is Disneyland Paris in October a good time to visit? Well I would have to say it really depends on what you are looking for in your visit. 

One of the reasons I love visiting Disneyland Paris in October is because of the Halloween Decorations. Halloween at Disneyland Paris is one of my favorite times to visit because it has brilliant decor, unique meet and greets such as Jack Skellington and classic characters in halloween costumes – be sure to check out our post on best questions to ask Disney characters to help you get the best character interactions. 

The only downside to October though is that it can be crowded this month due to the special season and school holidays.

If you want to have less crowds in the park then I advise you to go earlier in the month and avoid October half term. Also if you want to know what the best day to visit Disneyland Paris is in October I would say avoid weekends when the crowds are higher. 

Also it is worth noting that October does start to get cold at Disneyland Paris so you will need to start packing lots of layers. 

Visiting Disneyland Paris in November

If you are wondering if November in Disneyland Paris  is a good time to visit let me tell you, November is not only a good month to visit Disneyland Paris, it is in fact my opinion that November is one of the best months to Disneyland Paris. 

November isn’t considered peak season at Disneyland Paris and therefore doesn’t have the largest crowds and is much cheaper to visit and see the Christmas decorations as opposed to visiting in December. 

However some of the dates you may want to avoid if you are traveling to Disneyland Paris in November if you can are:

• 1st November – All Saints’ Day or La Toussaint in French. 
• 11th November – Armistice Day or Jour d’armistice in French

Please note: Disneyland Paris for Thanksgiving does not have any special events. 

It is also worth noting that November usually sees two seasonal decorations at Disneyland Paris. Halloween at Disneyland Paris usually runs to around 6th November depending on the year. And the Christmas decorations usually go up during the second week of November depending on the year (Check the Disney website for more information) 

You will find the crowds at their lowest between the decoration change over however if you want to see the Christmas decorations for Disney’s Enchanted Christmas the crowds will definitely be lower in November and December. 

However, the only downside to visiting this month is that the weather can be very cold and rainy. 

Visiting Disneyland Paris in December

Disneyland Paris in December is actually one of our favourite times of year to visit the park. The main reason for this is because it has seasonal decorations as part of the Disney’s Enchanted Christmas. 

The enchanted Christmas theme, decorations, shows and special Christmas parade makes it a magical experience no matter what age children you are visiting Disneyland Paris with.

However Disneyland Paris in December is very busy – especially towards the end of the month. In fact Disneyland Paris on Christmas Day is one of the busiest days of the year at the park and the Christmas week as a whole is very very busy. 

This is also one of the most expensive times to year to visit Disneyland Paris. Another downside to visiting at this time is the cold weather and shortened hours. However we think the enchanted Christmas theme more than makes up for this. However if you want cheaper and less crowds you should avoid December.

If you are looking for the cheapest times to visit Disneyland Paris then the months you should be considering are January, February, March and November. And more specifically the dates you should be considering are:

• January – after the schools have returned and the Christmas decorations and Disney’s Enchanted Christmas has finished. 
• February – first two weeks of the month.
• March -beginning of the month and weekdays. With the proviso that Easter does not fall in March
• November –  especially weekdays between the Halloween decorations going down and the Christmas decorations going up. 

However it is worth noting again that if you decide on visiting in some of the quieter months such as January and February you may find there are some rides closed for maintenance. BE sure to check Disneyland Paris scheduled ride closures before booking if there is a ride at the top of your Disneyland Paris bucket list that is a must do on your trip.

If budget is not your primary concern when going to Disneyland Paris then probably your next concern is crowds. If you are looking for the dates at Disneyland Paris when the crowds will be less I would consider:

It is again worth stressing that if you decide on visiting in some of the quieter months such as January and February you may find there are some rides closed for maintenance. 

However, this as with the budget options is not always guaranteed and crowds at Disneyland Paris can also be high and change year on year. This is just an educated guess based off personal experience and moderation of previous years crowds.

Best Time To Visit For Good Weather

As anyone who has lived or visited Europe can attest, the weather in Europe s changeable and unpredictable whatever month you are traveling in. However generally speaking these are the best times to visit Disneyland Paris for good weather: 

• May and June – not overly rainy but not too hot as some of the summer months can be
• September – again the super high temperatures of August have started to fall and the weather is still relatively dry.

In the summer and winter you will find there are extremes of temperature which may impact your visit if you are not used to the weather.

Generally speaking the worst time to visit Disneyland Paris has to be during school holidays in Europe and the UK and on a French Public Holiday. The public holidays and some of the worst days to visit Disneyland Paris in 2023 are:

If you want to visit to see the Halloween decorations and do the special Halloween Meet and greets you need to prepare for crowds as this is one of the most popular seasons at Disneyland Paris.

However if you do want to visit when it is quieter I recommend picking the start of the Halloween season at Disneyland Paris and choose a weekday over a weekend. 

Best Time To Visit For Christmas Decorations and Christmas Meet and Greets

The Christmas Season at Disneyland Paris tends to run from the end of November until early January. If you want to visit to see the Christmas decorations and do the Christmas meet and greets then you should definitely visit as earlier as possible in the season.

We went the first week it was up in November and it was much quieter than in December. The crowds swell more as the month of December goes on and you will find the Christmas school holiday period to be one of the busiest weeks of the year at Disneyland Paris.

When you think about the best and worst times to visit parks, you usually want to consider crowds as a factor.

Weather and the number of open attractions and shows are also factors. To a certain extent this is a very personal thing, as you will want to avoid the parks when your favourite attractions are scheduled for refurbishment.

For that, you will need to see the Disneyland Paris attraction refurbishment calendar . That will show you current and upcoming closures. Aside from that, here is a general guide on when to visit Disneyland Paris.

As we go through these various tips for when to visit Disneyland Paris I will guide you through some of the things to be watchful of and help you determine what will be the best time to go.

I’ll break down seasonal differences such as the weather, the crowds, and other factors that determine when is the best time to enjoy this magnificent resort.

When to Visit Disneyland Paris

In general, January and March are the best months to visit Disneyland Paris if you want to avoid crowds.

If that is the only thing you are concerned with, then these are certainly the best times for you.

However, crowds are not as big of a worry as other aspects of your visit. Low attendance could also be indicative of other factors you yourself would wish to avoid.

Unfortunately, the most crowded days often signify the greatest demand. Likewise, days with fewer visitors could indicate that the time is not quite right. One example is the availability of attractions, which I mentioned above.

The weather may also be a big factor in your decision-making. Having said that, September is also particularly light on crowds and it comes off the heels of summer with relatively warm weather.

The temperature can climb, but it tends to dip at the end of the month as it transitions to a crisper autumn climate.

The gamble with September is its transitional nature which can make it unpredictable. It’s a good idea to mix hot and cold weather items in your bag for a trip during this month.

Other Considerations for When to Visit Disneyland Paris

Summer months are when to visit Disneyland Paris in 2023 if you want to have the most entertainment available to you.

This also goes for the seasonal events of November-December when you can experience Disneyland Paris Halloween and Disneyland Paris Christmas .

These are the times which also have the more extreme climates. Summer will get very hot whereas the holiday season gets cold and may even see snowfall.

All things considered, the most agreeable months to visit Disneyland Paris are May, November and January during the week as long as the entertainment you want remains on the schedule and your favourite attractions are not scheduled for closure.

When Not to Visit Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris can become very cold depending on the season. If you prepare ahead of time and pack appropriately, you can avoid potential negatives due to weather.

However, it sometimes doesn’t matter what you pack. Weather can impact your overall experience of the Disneyland Paris resort.

You may be confined to indoor spaces due to extreme cold or extreme heat. Rain can inhibit your mobility in the parks and put a dampener on photos.

If you have a strong preference for warm or cool air you may choose to visit during summer or autumn months.

Weather Attendance and Ticket Prices

The months with the lowest and highest temperatures happen to also be the busiest months with the most attractions and entertainment available.

That could mean it’s worth bundling up and braving the crowds if you want more options ahead of you.

More open attractions and restaurants means that there are more places for people to go.

With more available to guests, the larger crowds aren’t as noticeable as they might otherwise be. The only other downside to those high attendance dates is the price of admission.

Not only is the ticket price higher on busy days, but you will likely want to purchase the Premier pass for skipping the lines on popular Disneyland Paris attractions.

Keeping that in mind, If you want to enjoy the  seasonal magic at Disneyland Paris in Christmastime. It’s best to avoid the latter half of December, or November. These dates will be more packed and more expensive than any other time.

The most crowded months in the year have the fewest low attendance dates and the most passholder blockout dates. July and August are particularly busy. These are the summer months to avoid if you can.

They are also typically the hottest months. The third most crowded month in Disneyland Paris is October. If you are avoiding peak crowds and high admission prices, stay away during these times especially.

On the subject of weather, if you want to avoid rain during your visit you should not visit in May. May statistically has the most rain each year out of any of the other months.

If you plan a visit to Disneyland Paris in May bring your own ponchos so you don’t have to pay out of pocket at the last minute.

When To Visit Disneyland Paris Is Up To You!

The bottom line is that there are tons of things to consider so that you have the best possible Disneyland Paris experience.

There is no bad time to go, but you will always have to make a trade off. If you want cheaper tickets, you may have to deal with some closures or inclement weather.

If you want all the attractions and the best dining options, then you will have to brave the crowds and potentially pay a lot more.

The choice is yours. If it’s your first time visiting, I recommend going at a busier time, but try to avoid radical outliers like July, August, and December.

It is always handy to know the best times to go to the parks. I try to find the times that are a little less busy but still a nice time of year.

I am actually visiting Paris next year and thinking of taking my daughter with me. If so we will visit Eurodisney during September!

Since 1992, Disneyland Paris (then called Euro Disney) has welcomed more than 250 million guests to its magical theme parks and hotels. Made up of two parks (Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park), seven hotels, and a dining and shopping district called Disney Village, the theme park resort has grown into a full-blown vacation destination, and it’s only getting better. Fresh off its 30th-anniversary celebration, the opening of Avengers Campus, and the reimagining of Disneyland Hotel, Disneyland Paris recently announced big plans to completely transform Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World.

I’ve visited 10 of the 12 Disney theme parks around the world, and Disneyland Park in Paris is the most beautiful iteration of the classic castle park I’ve visited, with gorgeously crafted immersive worlds surrounding a stunning pink castle inspired by French chateaux. I went back to Disneyland Paris last month to see everything new and exciting (and re-ride everything I loved the first time) to curate a new guide featuring the best of the resort. With unique interpretations of classic Disney attractions and a few memorable rides you can’t find anywhere else, the resort is a worthwhile day trip from Paris or a multi-day getaway. From can’t-miss rides to the best restaurants and places to stay, here’s everything you need to know about visiting Disneyland Paris.

When it comes to high and low seasons, Disneyland Paris is similar to its U.S. counterparts: Crowds are largest during school breaks and public holidays. The summer months, long weekends, and the winter holiday season are all among the busiest times to visit Disneyland Paris, and mid-January through mid-March and mid-April through mid-May are typically less busy times to visit. This summer will undoubtedly be extra busy for Disneyland Paris as tourists worldwide flock to the French capital for the Olympics. To avoid the heaviest crowds throughout the year, plan to visit Tuesday through Thursday (and avoid weekends). 

Thanks to the lineup of festive annual events, a fall trip to Disneyland Paris is always a good idea. Each year, Disneyland Paris hosts Halloween and Christmas events with seasonal decorations and eats; this year, Disney Halloween Festival will take place from Oct. 1 to Nov. 3, and Disney Enchanted Christmas will last from Nov. 9 to Jan. 6. 

It’s worth noting that American tourists are likely used to the warm weather found year-round at the domestic parks in California and Florida, but Paris experiences all four seasons. Be sure to check the forecast and pack appropriately — it was very chilly when I visited in February one year, and we had to buy Mickey beanies to stay warm. 

Disneyland Paris sells dated and undated tickets, with several variations depending on how many days you visit and which parks you want to visit. You can buy dated tickets for one to four days for both parks (or a single-day, single-park dated ticket). You can also purchase a single-day undated ticket to one or both parks, but these are typically more expensive. Disney uses dynamic ticket pricing, so you can check out the ticket calendar to see when you could visit to save a few bucks on admission. (Hint: cheaper days mean lower crowd levels.) For 2024, the cheapest one-park, one-day ticket currently ranges from $73 to $148. 

Annual Passes

Disneyland Paris also offers three tiers of annual passes: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Bronze is 289 euros and allows holders to visit 170 days a year. The Silver Pass is 499 euros and allows guests to access the parks 300 out of 365 days each year. Silver pass holders can also enjoy 10 percent discounts at shops and restaurants. The Gold Pass is 699 euros, allows entry every day of the year, offers a 15 percent discount at shops and restaurants, and includes Extra Magic Time and an annual PhotoPass.

Disney Premier Access

Want to skip the line for the most popular attractions? Disney Premier Access works similarly to the old FastPass or newer Genie+ at the U.S. parks in that it allows you to skip the main standby line, but there are some nuances you’ll want to know before you purchase. Yes, purchase — this is an additional cost, just like Genie+ Lightning Lanes in the U.S. You can buy Disney Premier Access One for individual attractions to gain a time slot for the Premier Access queue on the day you visit via the Disneyland Paris app. Or you can splurge on the Disney Premier Access Ultimate, an all-day pass that allows you to skip the line once for every participating attraction. You can buy the Ultimate pass the day of or in advance.

I tested Disney Premier Access Ultimate during my recent trip, and I could ride everything I wanted during my two-day trip, even while fighting jet lag. Of course, if you’re a single rider, you can also take advantage of the dedicated single-rider queues, but even those had long waits for some of the top rides, like Crush’s Coaster. 

Disneyland Park 

Is this the most beautiful Disney theme park in the world? It just might be, with its dazzling pink castle inspired by Mont St. Michel and intricately themed lands that feature fantastic versions of classic Disney rides . Disneyland Park is France’s “castle park,” a term used in the theme park community to describe the Disney parks centered around the main princess castle with a hub-and-spoke layout featuring lands like Adventureland and Fantasyland (think Disneyland Park in California and Magic Kingdom in Florida ). Disneyland Paris has five main lands — Discoveryland (similar to Tomorrowland), Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland, and Main Street, U.S.A. Don’t miss the nightly Disney Electrical Sky Parade featuring drones, projections, and fountains for a fun new take on the beloved parade. 

You can find classic attractions like It’s a Small World, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Autopia at Disneyland Park. Still, I recommend prioritizing the one-of-a-kind rides you can’t find in the U.S. parks and the unique versions of attractions you’re already familiar with if you’re short on time. I loved Phantom Manor, a spookier version of the Haunted Mansions in Florida and California. I also enjoyed the European park’s take on Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is a thrilling, Star Wars -themed take on the classic indoor coaster. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril is an intense outdoor roller coaster unique to this park (though Tokyo DisneySea has a similar ride). 

Take the time to tour Sleeping Beauty Castle (the views from the terrace are beautiful, as is the stained-glass depiction of the fairy tale) and the Dragon’s Lair (home to an impressive audio-animatronic dragon). 

Best Restaurants

Many table and quick-service restaurants are located around the park, from French meals with princesses at Auberge de Cendrillon to Tex Mex at Casa de Coco. I enjoyed my meal at Walt’s, an American restaurant themed to Walt Disney’s life, with dishes inspired by his favorite foods, like his famous chili. Get a table by the window to enjoy great people-watching on Main Street, U.S.A. Find Mickey-shaped pizza at Pizzeria Bella Notte, or try the French version of a Dole Whip at Cafe de la Brousse. If you plan to eat at a table-service restaurant that accepts reservations, make reservations as soon as possible to ensure you can dine when you want. 

Walt Disney Studios Park 

Walt Disney Studios Park will be transformed entirely into Disney Adventure World — construction kicked off in April. This new version of the park will see significant changes, including the addition of World of Frozen, but Walt Disney Studios Park is still open amid the transformation. That said, because so much is changing at this park, we’re just going to hit the highlights for visitors who plan to visit soon before the park is complete. 

Walt Disney Studios Park is home to some of Disneyland Paris’s top attractions, including rides you won’t find anywhere else. At Avengers Campus, you can sling webs at Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure (which also exists at Disney California Adventure Park) or go on a high-speed mission on the unique Avengers Assemble: Flight Force featuring Iron Man and Captain Marvel. (Fun fact: this ride used to be Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, so expect a thrilling launch start and multiple inversions.) Finding Nemo -themed Crush’s Coaster is a super-popular spinning coaster mostly indoors; it’s worth purchasing Premier Access if you visit during a busy time. The original Ratatouille: The Adventure can be found in this park, along with Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and some smaller attractions perfect for kids in the Pixar area of the park. This park also features several shows, including The Disney Junior Dream Factory, Stitch Live!, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation. 

Bistrot Chez Rémy is hands-down the best restaurant in Walt Disney Studios Park. Shrink down to the size of a rat at this “Ratatouille”-themed restaurant serving up dishes like steak and roast cod with sides of ratatouille, of course. There are also several food trucks throughout the park and some superhero-themed eateries at Avengers Campus. 

Disney Village is Disneyland Paris’s version of Downtown Disney with several shopping and dining outlets, including American favorites like Five Guys and Earl of Sandwich and sit-down restaurants. Stop by the Disney Store to grab some souvenirs before heading out. 

Disneyland Paris has seven themed hotels (listed here from most luxurious to most affordable): Disneyland Hotel, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, Disney Newport Bay Club, Disney Sequoia Lodge, Disney Hotel Cheyenne, Disney Hotel Santa Fe, Disney Davy Crockett Ranch. All except Disney Davy Crockett Ranch offer free shuttles or are within walking distance of the parks. Many hotels have U.S.-inspired themes, like nautical New England at Disney Newport Bay Club and Old West at Disney Hotel Cheyenne. I stayed at the recently reimagined Disneyland Hotel ; it’s one of the best Disney hotels in the world, located right at the entrance of Disneyland Park. 

Disneyland Hotel 

The pink Disneyland Hotel feels like a castle in its own right, with a lobby that looks like a royal library and a host of amenities that guarantee a magical vacation. Walking through the lobby, I’d spot Disney princesses waving to guests — and little princes and princesses who just had makeovers at the Royal Collection Boutique waving back.

The hotel also has a free Royal Kids Club, a pool, a fitness center, a spa by Clarins, a bar, and two character dining restaurants, Royal Banquet and La Table de Lumière. I had the chance to visit both restaurants during my stay and loved my experience at both; if I had to choose a favorite, I’d pick La Table de Lumiere for the adorable character interactions. I’m always blown away by how the characters can communicate in many languages at the international Disney parks, and these interactions with the princes and princesses were so fun and memorable.

Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Disneyland Hotel. The recently renovated rooms had upscale decor inspired by iconic Disney fairy tales (mine had a Snow White theme) and thoughtful details that provided a five-star experience. Plus, it took me just a few minutes to walk from my room to the park entrance — an incredible perk you won’t find at many Disney hotels. 

Getting to Disneyland Paris from the city is surprisingly easy. Take the RER A (an express train line) to the Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy/Parcs Disneyland stop just a few minutes from the park gates. You can also take the Disneyland Paris Express shuttle bus, but I highly recommend taking the RER. You can also take a TGV train to this stop from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport; I did this on my recent trip, and it took about 10 minutes to take the train from the airport stop to Disneyland Paris (though it was very crowded on the weekend).  

Although the resort has lovely hotels that are well worth a stay for travelers who want to explore the parks for more than a day, many visitors come to Disneyland Paris for a day trip from the capital. I recommend planning to arrive at the theme parks before opening so you can rope drop any of your top-priority attractions. Get a two-park pass, and consider paying for Premier Access (for one or all attractions) to make the most of one day. I’d recommend starting at Walt Disney Studios Park to ride Crush’s Coaster, Tower of Terror, the Avenger’s Campus attractions, and Ratatouille: The Adventure. Schedule a sit-down meal at Bistrot Chez Remy or Walt’s for lunch, then spend the rest of the day in Disneyland Park and watch the Disney Electrical Sky Parade before you leave.

Best Time To Visit Disneyland Paris

Disneyland is one of Paris’ most popular theme parks. Known for its thrilling rides, abundance of Disney characters, special events and celebrations, and overall incredible atmosphere, it’s important to know when the best and worst time to visit the Disneyland Resort is so that you have the best time possible.

Some of the winter months are typically considered to be Disneyland Paris’ off-season. During this time, you can generally expect fewer crowds and not as many long lines. 

You will want to try and avoid the first week of January, however, due to the Christmas celebrations and New Year festivities that bring along more people and long waits.

During the month of January, you can expect the weather to be between the upper 30s and mid-40s in Fahrenheit. If you don’t mind the chilly temperatures, this is a great time to visit Disney Park in Paris.

The beginning of February is another great time to visit the Disney theme park. Similarly to January, if you don’t mind the frigid weather, this is a great time to explore Disney. During February, you can expect the weather to range between the upper 30s and upper 40s in Fahrenheit. 

Towards the middle and latter end of February, many French and other European schools take off for winter holidays so Disney does tend to get busier during this time period. However, the crowds are still much less than during the peak season.

March is generally a fantastic time to visit Disneyland Paris. You may still experience a few crowds during the beginning of the month due to some European schools still having off for the winter holiday, but visiting during the middle and late March are great times to explore the park. 

The weather starts to warm up a bit, and the crowds are relatively low during this timeframe. You can expect the weather to be between the low 40s and mid-50s in Fahrenheit. 

It’s important to note that Easter is on March 31st, 2024, so you can expect heightened crowds during the Easter holiday, so I would avoid visiting during this time. 

April is an exciting time in Paris as the weather begins to warm up and flowers start to bloom. However, I would avoid visiting Disneyland Paris during this time.

Easter typically brings plenty of crowds to the Disney parks , and the French School Holidays begin following Easter. This means that Disneyland Paris is likely to fill up with many French and European families looking for something fun to do throughout the month. 

If you are unable to avoid visiting during April, no worries. The park still has so much to offer, but you can expect increased crowds and lines during this time. Fortunately, the weather is beginning to shift from the chilly temperatures to a bit warmer.

You can generally expect temperatures between the upper 40s and lower 60s Fahrenheit, making it not too bad to hang out in the lines. 

Visiting Disneyland Paris in May is fantastic. The weather is warming up, and the flowers are blossoming everywhere.

The crowds are settling down after the spring holidays, making it an ideal time to experience the theme park. During May, temperatures usually range from the low 50s to the upper 60s in Fahrenheit.

June is another phenomenal time to visit Disneyland. The weather is warm, and the crowds are generally lighter.

For the summer months, I recommend planning your visit on weekdays instead of weekends, but overall, it’s a wonderful time to enjoy the park. You can typically expect temperatures between the upper 50s and mid-70s Fahrenheit during this month. 

July is one of the warmest months to explore Paris and Disneyland. Expect more crowds, especially on Bastille Day, which falls on July 14th, 2024. For a more comfortable experience with shorter lines, I suggest planning your visit during the spring or fall. 

However, July can still be enjoyable if you don’t mind the warmth, and avoiding the bustling Bastille Day celebrations might be a good idea unless you’re eager to join in on the local festivities. Temperature-wise, anticipate it to be between the low 60s and high 70s in Fahrenheit in July.

Similar to July, the month of August is one of the hottest months in Paris and in Disneyland. Typically, there are more crowds at the start of August, but as the summer holidays wind down, the end of the month usually sees a decrease in visitors. 

The temperatures generally range from the low 60s to the high 70s Fahrenheit. 

Also, August tends to have fewer rainy days in Paris compared to other months. If you want to plan your trip to Paris and Disneyland in the summer months and you’re okay with the heat and excited about soaking up some sunshine at the parks, I suggest considering a visit in late August.

September offers a delightful opportunity to visit Disneyland Paris. You can expect warmer weather without the intense heat, and with most schools back in session, you won’t encounter the heavy crowds associated with holiday periods. Anticipate temperatures ranging between the mid-50s and low 70s Fahrenheit.

The month of October is usually bustling as Disney starts its Halloween season. I would generally suggest steering clear of this month due to the large number of guests and extended wait times for rides.

However, if you’re a Halloween enthusiast, visiting during this period might be worth it because Disneyland Paris goes all out for Halloween. Expect temperatures to range between the low 50s and low 60s during this time. 

November tends to be quite busy at Disneyland Park. The month kicks off with the conclusion of Halloween celebrations and transitions into the Christmas season, drawing substantial crowds. Anticipate temperatures ranging between the low 40s and low 50s during this period. 

The holiday season, especially in December, is a peak period for visitors at Disneyland Paris. Many flock to the park to celebrate Christmas amidst the festive decorations and joyous festivities, so you can expect the crowd levels to be high.

December is one of the busiest months to visit, but for Christmas enthusiasts, the spectacle and celebrations make it a worthwhile visit.

Temperatures are likely to range between the upper 30s and upper 40s during this season. Keep in mind that ticket prices and accommodations tend to be at their highest during this time, given the popularity of spending the holiday season at Disney.

Check For Seasonal Events

There are countless seasonal events that Disney hosts. They host events like Halloween celebrations, Christmas festivities, and many other seasonal celebrations. I recommend checking their calendar in advance so that you are aware of each one. 

If shorter wait times are important to you, I recommend scheduling your trip to Disney when these events are not being held so that you can avoid the large crowds. 

However, if you want to celebrate one of these holidays at Disney, then make sure to plan your trip accordingly so that you can experience Disney in full holiday mode. 

Try To Avoid French Public Holidays

During most French public holidays, children are on break from school, and many parents also have time off from work. Therefore, you can anticipate significant crowds during these periods, making them one of the busiest times to visit Disneyland Paris.

Arrive at the Park Early

One of the most important things that I have learned is to arrive at the park close to opening hours. Arriving early provides you with the opportunity to enjoy the park in the morning, avoiding the sizable crowds that typically gather in the afternoon.

I suggest prioritizing popular rides during the early hours to bypass lengthy queues. Arriving at the park early also allows you to truly spend the full day soaking up the Disney magic. 

Consider Visiting Mid-Week

The best days of the week to visit Disney are typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Visiting during mid-week is an excellent way to experience fewer crowds, and sometimes, you will even have access to cheaper park tickets and more accommodation deals. 

Best Rides In Disneyland Paris

Disneyland parks are famous for offering a wide variety of enjoyable rides, catering to both children seeking slower and animated rides and adults seeking faster and exhilarating rides. 

Below, I have listed some of the most popular rides that you must check out as a first-time visitor or seasoned Disney fan.

Space Mountain

There are several options you can take to get to Disneyland Paris from the airport and from the heart of the city.

Traveling to Disneyland Paris From The Airport

One of the most popular options is to fly into the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and take the Magical Shuttle Bus. The shuttle bus can take you to various Disney hotel partners or directly to the theme parks.

Another option is to take the TGV high-speed train from the airport to the Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy Train Station. Upon your arrival, you will have to do a 2-minute walk to get to the Disney parks.

Lastly, you can take a taxi or private transfer to get to Disneyland as well.

What season are the crowds high? When are crowds low? What is the best day of the week to visit the park? What holidays and special events might make the parks crowded? Or what special events do you not want to miss?

Disneyland Paris Low Season /High Season

Knowing when Disneyland Paris has low and high seasons can help you determine when the best time might be for your family to visit the park.

The low season at Disneyland Paris is considered to be from the beginning of November through the end of March . The exception to this low season is the holiday season (Thanksgiving through the New Year). Not only is the low season the best time to avoid crowds, but park tickets are generally cheaper during this time.

The low season may be ideal for crowds , but there could be drawbacks to traveling at this time. The weather will be the coldest in Paris at this time of year and you may even get some snow. Also, there will be fewer scheduled shows (with the exception of the holidays) and more scheduled refurbishments resulting in some attractions being down.

The high season at Disneyland Paris would be the other months, April through October. During this time the weather will be better , there are more hours of daylight, and most entertainment and attractions will be available . Traveling during the high season will also come with higher crowds, but the good news is that compared to the US parks, Disneyland Paris does not get overly crowded.

So when would NOT be a good time to visit Disneyland Paris in 2024?

I think it best to avoid the Christmas and New Year holiday weeks unless you are specifically wanting to be in the park for Christmas. With the extra holiday events such as parties, parades, and decorations, there will be increased local crowds at this time of year. Combine that with school being out for students not only in France but in other countries in Europe. I feel like this is a good time not to visit Disneyland Paris.

July and August are also particularly busy because of summer crowds. Combine this with the hot weather and the Olympics being held in Paris in 2023 and I feel like this would not be a good time to visit Disneyland Paris.

Paris Olympics 2024

It’s important to note the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris. This global event, scheduled for the summer of 2024, is set to bring an influx of visitors to the city, which could impact travel plans for those heading to Disneyland Paris.

The Olympics are a thrilling spectacle, but they also mean that Paris and its surrounding areas, including Disneyland, will be exceptionally busy. Accommodations might be harder to book, and travel through the city could see some delays due to increased traffic and security measures. 2024 Best & Worst Months to Visit Disneyland

Planning a trip to Disneyland and trying to determine the best month to visit in 2024? We analyze crowds, weather, seasonal events, park hours, and other factors to rank every month of the year for Disneyland in this post, plus our 3 favorite weeks to visit.

It’s been a wild ride since Disneyland and DCA reopened. There have been waves of pent-up demand made for a busy summer, followed by attendance fizzling out, and that process repeating itself multiple times. The debut and subsequent suspensions of Magic Key Annual Pass sales has further complicated crowd predictions, as have ticket deals for Southern California residents.

The good news is that things have started getting back to normal in the last 8 months. Looking forward to 2024, this should be the first normal  year at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure since 2018. (Due to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, 2019 was anything but normal. Ditto the following two-plus years, for obvious reasons.) Pent-up demand is already starting to exhaust itself, and it’s forecast to slow even further in 2024.

With that said, there’s no such thing as a totally normal year at Disneyland Resort. While we are fully expecting familiar patterns to return to the attendance dynamic over the course of the entire year, there are some monkey wrenches thrown into the mix due to differences in the the  Full 2024 Calendar of Events at Disneyland as compared to last year and the exhaustion of pent-up demand.

Accordingly, we’re ranking all months of the year. Even if our expectations about crowds are slightly off, weather, seasonal events, and other factors are consistent from year to year, making this resource equally useful for planning a trip to Disneyland in 2024 or 2025.

A lot of resources already exist to help planners choose the best time to visit Disneyland, but they do so from an objective, statistical perspective. While crowd calendars are a great resource, we believe in a more holistic approach to planning a Disneyland visit.

To be sure, everyone loves low crowds, but those low crowds don’t tell the whole story. When it comes to Disneyland, low crowd levels are sometimes accompanied by shorter operating hours, poor weather, additional refurbishments, and a lack of seasonal events. Few people evaluate their vacation’s success by some statistical ‘fun quotient’, so we feel it only makes sense to approach the best months to visit Disneyland from a similar qualitative approach.

That’s our belief, at least, and one that has proven popular with readers of our Disneyland Crowd Calendars: When to Visit & Avoid . We’ve had a lot of questions for greater guidance in that post, so we thought we’d provide that here. In this, we provide the pros & cons of every month at Disneyland and rank the best and worst times to visit accordingly.

As such, the point of this post is to rank every month of the year for visiting Disneyland in light of all relevant considerations . After ranking each month with accompanying analysis (so you can determine whether you’d weigh the factors differently) we also cut to the chase and choose our 3 favorite weeks of the year for visiting Disneyland.

In order of worst to best, here’s how every month of the year at Disneyland ranks…

12. June – Due to the summer tourist season mixed with pent-up demand (people making up for lost time and taking trips), June has become one of the busiest months of the year. It has been busier than July, which used to be the busier summer vacation month.

June being busier than July actually makes sense for one big reason: lower tier Magic Key passholders are not blocked out earlier in June, causing them to descend upon the park. That means there’s a dynamic with both tourists and  locals in June, whereas July has fewer of the latter.

The only other major consideration for the summer months is weather. While June is one of the hottest months of the year in California, it’s typically not as hot and humid as Florida. 11. July – Pretty much the same story with July. This is often the peak of California’s summer tourist season, but it has more narrowly-tailored Magic Key blockouts. With pent-up demand exhausting itself, we expect to see June and July 2024 crowds die down quite a bit, making the summer far less busy than a lot of other months.

We could end up being “wrong” and misjudging the new crowd dynamic, but it doesn’t really matter. Regardless of what happens with summer crowds, we’d pick a different month if visiting Disneyland as tourists. There’s too much downside and not enough potential upside. The summer just doesn’t have enough selling points, even if you set aside crowds for some reason.

In general, July is not as bad at Disneyland as Walt Disney World. You still have the potential for hot weather, but it’s not nearly as humid. There’s also an influx of summer tourists, but far fewer than Florida. The days around Independence Day are an exception, as they are exceptionally busy despite the blockouts. 10. October – As Halloween becomes increasingly popular, October has become–on average–the second-busiest month of the year. That shouldn’t come as a surprise, as October had become increasingly chaotic in “normal” years. In large part, this can be attributed to Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure and more demand for all things Halloween at both parks.

On top of that, October has a surplus of “crazy” holidays–half of which I think Utah and Nevada are making up just to mess with Disneyland crowd levels. Nevada, you don’t get your own holiday . I’ll sooner recognize “Whacking Day” as an official holiday. Aside from this nonsense Utah and Nevada are celebrating, there’s also Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day. While not major holidays on their own, many school districts use that as a proxy for fall breaks. And the schools that don’t typically have their breaks scattered throughout other long weekends in October.

Then there’s Halloween, and everyone knows that those heathens in California celebrate by taking 13 days off work. 😉 Seriously, though, October has become a really busy month at Disneyland. 9. March  – This month will be much worse than last year due to Easter falling on March 31, 2024 (as opposed to in April). Due to that, Los Angeles County and most Orange County school districts both have their Spring Break in the last couple weeks of the month, and out of state schools will be scattered throughout the month.

Nevertheless, the first ~3 weeks of the months should not be that bad. Then there’s weather, which is starting to improve in March. It’s also the first full month of Disney California Adventure’s Food & Wine Festival , which usually runs through April. It’s an enjoyable event that does not really draw crowds, but provides a nice way to get a taste of California’s diverse cuisine.

8. April – Even though Easter isn’t in April 2024, there are still a ton of school districts throughout California and other western states that have spring break during the month. That means you’ll have a mix of locals and tourists who are on vacation descending upon the parks during the first half of the month.

This makes for the first couple weeks of April one of the busier times of year, and also most expensive dates of the year at hotels near Disneyland Resort. This is especially frustrating at Disneyland, a park that was simply not built to accommodate as many guests as cram into the parks during the month of April.

Normally, there would be two silver linings. First, that the last two weeks of April should be quieter as Spring Break winds down. 7. February – Crowds in February 2024 shouldn’t be as bad as they were last year. This year, there’s no ‘100 Years of Wonder’ celebration, new nighttime spectaculars in both parks, or a new ride. All of that elevated crowd levels in February last year.

However, there’s still the week of Presidents’ Day, which will significantly spike crowds (avoid that entire week). Even before that, there’s an uptick earlier in the month due to the Lunar New Year celebration…causing increased crowds the first half of the month.

6. August – This month has seen its stock soar in the last two years, driven largely by the new dynamic of summer vacation crowds dropping precipitously towards the start of August, rather than halfway through. There’s no reason to expect this trend to change for August 2024. This year, the added wrinkle is that the D23 Expo will run August 9-11, 2024–and it’ll spike crowds in the lead-up to that event.

The biggest downside is the potential for really hot weather, but you still have that reprieve from locals. The additional upside to August is that you don’t have the Independence Day spike. While the entirety of August has improved, crowds get  really good mid-month, as that’s when schools start going back into session.

While it didn’t make the cut for our best weeks of the year, there’s a fourth “sweet spot” in the exact middle of the month that has long operating hours, reduced crowds, and Magic Key passholder blockouts. 5. December  – This month slips a bit for our Disneyland rankings for one reason and one only: crowds . Everything else about December at Disneyland is great: cool weather, beautiful decorations, wonderful entertainment, and great food. (See our Ultimate Guide to Christmas at Disneyland for more on why this is the greatest time of year at the parks.)

We spend a lot of time at Disneyland in December, and love every minute of it. If we had no choice but to visit during this month, we absolutely would. So don’t let that ranking discourage you too much–it’s mostly that November is superior to December. Even this comes with an asterisk, as the first week of December is typically the least-busy of the holiday season. (That’s a relative term–it’s still usually around 5/10 on the crowd calendar.)

That ‘confluence of greatness’ at Disneyland in December means that a lot of Magic Key passholders prioritize visiting in December, as do locals who are not passholders but visit once or twice per year. Add to that tourists, who are drawn to the parks this time of year, and it’s a recipe for heavy attendance. About the only times that are not chaotic are the couple of days after most blockouts take effect–but before Christmas vacation crowds arrive–and any day that it rains. 4. January – The first month of the year ranks highly and is once again the winter doldrums, filled with refurbishments and low crowds. With that said, there are some important caveats to that, as January 2024 will most definitely be a month of high highs and low lows .

First, you do not want to visit in the first week of the new year. That’s because Los Angeles and Orange County schools do not go back into session following their winter breaks until January 8, 2024. Up until then, it’s still the holiday season at Disneyland–especially since ALL Magic Keys were blocked out for (at least) the 12 days before that. Expect crowd levels on par with the worst of Christmas as a result.

Second, the Disneyland Half Marathon returns for January 11-14, 2024. As a result, we’re expecting the week leading up to this to have elevated crowds, as the runDisney crowd tends to travel for events. So in other words, the low crowds won’t really  arrive  until January 15, 2024. The first half of the month will range from slightly elevated to very busy.

However, just about everything after should have low crowds. After January 15, it’ll feel like the true off-season at Disneyland. The only other things to be mindful of are the Martin Luther King holiday weekend (which mostly coincides with the Disneyland Half Marathon) and Southern California ticket specials typically converge to spike crowds a bit in mid-January. There’s also the start of the Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure , which causes a spike to attendance at DCA. 3. May  – Normally, May is a “sweet spot” for Disneyland. It’s before schools are out for summer and also before Magic Key passholders who are blocked out for the summer start making their “last visits.” As such, May normally sees a lull in demand before the arrival of summer tourist season, and everything that brings with it.

This year, the only things to be mindful of are the return of Fantasmic (May 24, 2024) and the approximately two weeks leading up to the expiration of the Southern California resident ticket deal (ends June 2, 2024). Basically, the last couple weeks of the month will see elevated crowds as people rush to race their unused days before those tickets expire, and try to see Fantasmic for the first time in about a year.

The first half of the month will once again be the sweet spot between spring break and summer seasons. This was one of the very best times of the year last year, and that should be true again in May 2024. On top of that, May is also usually a strong month weather-wise, with mild temperatures. 2. September – Disneyland in September shares the same low crowd levels as Walt Disney World, but what it doesn’t share is humidity and hot weather. September has been getting busier, but still typically has the lowest or second-lowest average wait times of the year. It also helps that the D23 Expo will not occur in September this year.

Halloween Time will run for the entirety of September 2024, and that’ll cause a bit of a bump to crowds. However, that’s mostly a plus as the added seasonal entertainment far outweighs the increased attendance. Moreover, the spook season crowds shouldn’t show up in full force until October. September is reliably off-season, as school has just gone back into session and California’s summer tourist season has come to an end. Weekends can still see higher crowds, but weekdays tend to be great. We expect the same for September 2024.

As an added bonus, September is typically warm but totally bearable in Anaheim. On top of the crowds and pleasant weather, you have the Halloween entertainment, special food, and attraction overlays, which we highly recommend seeing. Click here to view our September Disneyland Crowd Calendar .

1. November  – Christmas is the absolute best time of the year at Disneyland from a qualitative perspective. The sweet spot for enjoying the holiday season entertainment is the beginning of November and right after the popular Veterans Day holiday in mid-November until Thanksgiving.

With that said, it’s important to note that from a quantitative perspective, November 2024 is not #1. Average wait times will almost certainly be lower in January, May, August, September, plus maybe February and April. If this were purely a crowd calendar ranking, November 2024 would be middle of the pack.

However, the elevated attendance is not that pronounced until Thanksgiving week (one of the very worst weeks of the year), and early November (minus Veterans Day weekend) can be relatively relaxed. Moreover, this is not a simply a ranking of the months based on crowds–it’s qualitative, and no month is better than November from that perspective.

Unlike the Florida parks, the holiday season all starts in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on the same day, so there’s no disadvantage in going early. This entertainment is exceptional, and makes the higher crowd levels totally worth it. The festive atmosphere, attraction overlays, decorations, and seasonal foods–plus typically good weather make mid-November an unbeatable time to visit, even with only so-so crowds. Want to cut past all of those rankings and simply looking for a point-blank recommendation as to when you should visit Disneyland? Here are our 3 favorite weeks of the year, followed by some explanation:

• Thanksgiving “Bookends” (November 12-22, 2024 or December 1-7, 2024)
• Last week of August or first week of September (August 25 through September 7, 2024)
• Early May (May 1-12, 2024)

Our first (and favorite) times to visit are the weeks before and after Thanksgiving week. Typically, Christmas season at Disneyland starts the weekend before this, meaning you have a week gap between the start of Disneyland’s holiday season and the start of actual holiday travel. This is a ‘sweet spot’ for low crowds, perfect weather, and seasonal entertainment.

The early Fall 2024 offseason is trickier because Halloween is starting earlier (August 23, 2024) and there are a couple of holiday weeks in the second half of the month. While those don’t have a major impact on crowds, we’d still skew towards late August and early September 2024 as a result. We’d definitely opt for the earlier window here, as Halloween Time at Disneyland will be fully kicked off by then.

Finally, we like just about any dates in late April or May 2024 up until the end of the month, when locals will be scrambling to use the remainder of their SoCal tickets, which expire on June 2, 2024. This is after the madness of Spring Break and Easter, but before summer tourist season. It’s also before locals try to get their last visits in before the summer blockouts. With nothing new of import debuting in May 2024, it should be a great month to visit.

All in all, this should be a useful guide to strategically plan your visit (or visits) to Disneyland Resort in 2024 or even 2025. While some of the dates will shift–and any impact of things debuting or returning in 2024 won’t be relevant, the general contours of these rankings remain (mostly) consistent from year to year.  Even if you only follow this guide loosely, we think you’re bound to choose a good time to head to Disneyland!

Hi Tom, Thanks for your thoughtful and entertaining analysis as always! Our family is scheduled to visit Disneyland (first time in 5 years, first time ever for three of my kids) the week after Easter April 10-15 during their Spring Break which it appears may still have substantial spring break crowds. Our alternative option would be the week of May 22, after their school is out, which looks also complicated by end of the local ticket deal and Grad nights. Best Disneyland Paris tips for families: what to pack, tickets, budgeting, activities and more

Any frequent visitor to Disneyland Paris will tell you, organisation is key. To help you plan, here's the best tips from Disney experts who've been there, done that.

For many, a trip to Disneyland Paris is their first exposure to a Disney park and although it’s considered a ‘smaller choice’ for a Disney experience, a visit still requires a lot of planning and organisation on your part.

Don’t fret, though, as we're here to help, and when it comes to all things Disney, mother of two Charlotte knows exactly what she’s talking about. As a seasoned traveller to Disneyland Paris, her top tips alongside Mumsnetter recommendations can certainly help if you’re planning a trip to the popular theme parks in Paris.

These pearls of wisdom come from parents who have been there, done that - brave parents who did the research, survived the trip, and can recommend the best places to eat, where to stay, the must-have items and more for a trip to Disneyland Paris .

From the top attractions to money saving hacks, here’s our ultimate guide to Disneyland Paris to make sure your trip is unforgettable for all the right reasons.

1. An overview

Before you start planning, it’s a good idea to be familiar with the basics.

Disneyland Paris has four parts:

Disneyland Park: the traditional castle park, home of Sleeping Beauty’s castle

Walt Disney Studios Park: similar to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida

Disney Village: a small shopping and restaurant area

The hotel area: home to six Disney hotels onsite

With the exception of an additional two offsite hotels, the entire resort is walkable and is around 20 minutes from one end to the other.

2. How to get there

Let’s start at the beginning, how will you get there? Depending on your location, it may be logistically a lot easier to opt for certain routes than others. The great thing is, Disneyland Paris is super accessible via several routes.

Whether you choose to drive, fly, or hop on the train, all options can be made really easy. Price up as many options as you can to help stay within your budget. Consider that if you’re based in the north of the UK and choose to get the train, you’ll also have to factor in travelling to London with a potential overnight stay, so weigh up the pros and cons.

The train goes directly to Disneyland Paris and the station is literally at the park gates. Talk about door to door service! If you drive, there’s ample car parking at the parks, too. Flight wise, the nearest airport is Paris Charles De Gaulle, which is around a 40 minute transfer to the Disneyland Paris area and flights from the UK are around 60 to 90 minutes long.

3. Where to stay

Next up, where to stay? This can be a tricky one as there’s so many great choices.

Disney offers some incredible onsite resorts which will truly immerse you into the full Disney experience. The magic is 24/7 in the parks and this doesn’t end in their hotels.

Staying onsite at an official Disney hotel can also offer amazing perks such as early entry into the parks, onsite character meet and greets plus discounts in the Disney Stores.

Having said that, there’s some really great offsite options just minutes away from Disneyland Paris . Most offer free shuttle buses to and from the parks all day, with ample space to park your car if you have chosen to drive.

Although they don’t quite offer the full Disney experience, they can be found at a fraction of the price and still offer great locations. It’s crucial to review all your options for your stay as choosing the right accommodation could literally save you hundreds.

Top tip when choosing your accommodation… Opt for bed and breakfast! Sourcing breakfast in theme parks can be tricky and time consuming. We can’t recommend this enough, and the offsite hotels offer great prices on their bed and breakfast options.

4. Duration of trip

Disneyland Paris is no Walt Disney World. It offers a slice of the magic at a fraction of the size, so you don’t need the same amount of time to get the most from your trip. We’d recommend a minimum of two days, but ideally three days to really enjoy everything. Walt Disney Studios is the smaller park of the two, and can easily be completed within a day. Disneyland Park has more to offer and personally, we think two days is the perfect amount of time to enjoy it.

April to July should mean the weather is on your side, plus they're the summer months, however do consider how busy it can be within school holidays. Christmas at Disneyland Paris is magical - if you get the chance to do it, we highly recommend it. It’s beautifully decorated and really spreads the festive joy, however it is freezing. We’re talking layers and layers.

January and February tend to be quieter months and less in price to visit, so bear these in mind to keep the cost down.

Now you’ve decided how you’re getting there and where you’re staying, we need to talk about tickets. It’s highly recommended you buy these in advance. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, gone are the days of turning up on the day to buy your tickets.

Plus, when buying ahead, great deals can be found and it’s one less thing to worry about when you arrive. The more time you have experiencing the Disney magic instead of waiting in line, the better! Prices vary depending when you choose to visit, so to keep costs low, consider visiting on weekdays, outside of school holidays or in cheaper months such as January.

As we’ve mentioned, there are two parks at Disneyland Paris : Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios. You can purchase tickets individually, or choose the Park Hopper option. A Park Hopper ticket allows you to quite literally hop between the two parks throughout the day. Park Hopper tickets are slightly more expensive, so consider how important they are to you in terms of being able to access both parks on the same day.

The average ticket price for a two day visit is approx £120 per adult and £112 per child.

Once you have your tickets, we highly recommend you download the Disneyland Paris app (available on App Store and Google Play ). This will give you live updates on attraction wait times, parade showtimes, character meet information and more… It’s a priceless tool to help plan and enjoy your days!

Remember to register admission to your chosen park

As mentioned, following Covid-19 restrictions, Disney parks worldwide have put extra measures in place for crowd control. One of the biggest changes - and one that a lot of people have opinions about - is the need to register to enter the parks.

If you have a non-dated ticket or pass, you must register on Disney’s online registration platform in order to ensure admission to the Disney Parks on the date of your choice. Entry is subject to availability, so it’s imperative that you register admission on your chosen days once you have your tickets.

This means more planning ahead of your trip, and a little less spontaneity while you’re there.

If you’re unable to secure your admission on your preferred date when buying your tickets - don’t panic… A lot of families may cancel at the last minute as the day gets closer, so our best advice is to keep check, check, checking.

Of course, if you have a dated ticket, you needn’t worry about these extra steps ahead of your trip.

6. Budgeting

One of the biggest ways to save money while visiting Disneyland Paris is by taking your own food while visiting the parks. Gone are the days of Disney meal plans, and these days, costs can add up while you try to feed everyone in your party.

These days, it’s a good idea to pack your own snacks. After all, nobody needs hangry kids while queuing for a ride. Mumsnetters have done it all: stocked up on croissants from the hotel breakfast buffet, done an Uber Eats delivery for crisps and cereal bars, visited local supermarkets to grab easy snacks to fill bags with. Theme park snacks can be less than nutritious, overpriced with lengthy waits to purchase. Disney is no different, so make sure you take advantage of being able to take your own food in.

Remember, water is also free around the parks, with refill stations located throughout both parks. We recommend you take your own water bottle to top up through the day and stay hydrated. One of our favourite bottles to take is the Ion8 leak proof bottle .

Another item we like to take from home is an autograph book. You can pick these up in the parks from around €10, but to save some pennies buy them from Amazon before you go. You’ll save money and time, and the kids will absolutely love collecting the character signatures!

If you really want to commit to the Disney experience, you can’t be without a pair of Minnie ears. There’s endless pairs to choose from in the parks, they’ve covered every theme possible and they look just fabulous, but, in true Disney form, they come with a hefty price tag. We’ve found some at a fraction of the cost for you to pack and take, instead.

If you have young children and you’re considering whether to take a pram… Take one! The days are long, and you’ll average between 15,000 to 20,000 steps per day. You can hire buggies in the parks, but it works out much cheaper to take your own.

7. Best attractions

This is personal preference, but we believe there’s some real Disney classics that you just have to tick off the list!

As a rite of passage, Disney style, It’s A Small World cannot be missed. It’s one for all ages and the theme tune will be stuck in your head for days, if not weeks, after your trip. Peter Pan’s Flight is also a popular one, along with Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Of course, if you’re travelling to Disneyland Paris with younger toddlers and babies, you may feel there’s not much to do. But don’t be fooled - sure, there are height restrictions on several of the bigger roller coasters and rides, but there is plenty to do for younger guests in the parks. Rides suitable for smaller kids, character meets, shows, parades are all available.

Over in Walt Disney Studios, attractions such as Crushers Coaster for the thrill seekers often have long wait times, and their brand new Avengers Campus is sure to attract crowds. Our top tip for fitting in your favourites is asking your family what their “must do” whilst you’re there is - jot them down and try tick off as many as you can. The Disneyland app we mentioned earlier will help you track wait times and locate them on the map.

A popular one for the little ones is a hidden gem just by Pirates of the Caribbean. There’s a big adventure park where they can run around and let off some steam, especially handy if they’ve been waiting in queues.

It’s almost an impossible task to do everything on your list, but hey, that’s just an excuse to go back.

8. The “must do” activities

It would be a shame not to make the most out of your time in Disneyland Paris , so be sure to have a plan of your “must do" activities before you visit. Your plans will likely change throughout your trip as you discover things you love, and potentially things you want to do again. There’s so much more than rides to soak up the magic at Disney.

Book a character dinner

Although they can be quite expensive, booking a character dinner is a great way to see and meet your favourite Disney characters with no long queues and without rushing. You can book either breakfast, lunch or dinner and during your meal, Disney characters will come and say hello to your family.

Popular character dinners include meeting Mickey and friends at Plaza Gardens Restaurant in Disneyland Park, or dining in the company of Disney Princesses at the park’s Auberge de Cendrillon restaurant.

Watch the fireworks

The first thing you shouldn’t miss is the fireworks. There’s nothing more magical than Disneyland Park’s firework display at the end of the day, and a lot of Mumsnetters will admit they’re yet to make it through a show without tearing up.

Some days they can be shown quite late - sometimes as late as 11pm - so be sure to pencil in a siesta before the fireworks, or choose a day when they’re shown earlier, especially if you have young guests with you.

See a parade

The parades at Disneyland Paris are also incredible, and happen at set times throughout the day. Make sure you have the app handy to see what times they’re happening.

Catch a show

With The Lion King, Mickey and the Magician and other shows available, you’ll want to make sure you allow time to take a seat and enjoy at least one of these during your trip. They’re particularly great for younger visitors who aren’t able to have a go on some of the rides due to height restrictions.

Enjoy some shopping

For any shopaholics, the shops at Disneyland are top tier. They’re full to the brim of Disney merchandise, friendly cast members and amazing theming throughout. The shops play a huge part in the overall Disney atmosphere, we feel.

Take a breather with a view

For a low-key Disney moment to soak up the magic, our top tip is to sit at the top of Mainstreet USA, with the castle in view, listening to the music and watching people enjoy their trip. It’s people watching at its finest… And it’s even better with an ice cream! If you have teenagers with you, there’s endless photo spot opportunities, a must for socials. Did you even go to Disney if you didn’t post about it?

9. Where to eat

This is a big hit and miss in Disney. Some food establishments are great, others are below average to say the least. For snacks, we can’t stress enough how savvy it is to take your own - save that money for something else!

There’s ample “fast food” stations dotted around the park offering typical theme park food such as chips, hot dogs… The usual. Although these days, more vegetarian and diet restricted options are available.

For more formal dining, we highly recommend you make reservations in advance if possible. Tables can fill fast, and if you’re wanting some nice sit down dinners, planning ahead is key.

Personal favourites amongst Mumsnetters are Hakuna Matata which offers African cuisine, or just outside the gates you’ll find Disney Village with several restaurants ranging from Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe, Cafe Mickey offering character dining and many, many more.

10. What to wear

First and foremost, comfortable shoes. You will walk miles and miles around both parks, so avoid anything that could potentially rub your feet. The last thing you want is blistered soles.

Depending on when you visit in the year, you may experience wet weather. Rather than carting around heavy raincoats, ponchos are super handy to tuck in your bag and whip out when you need them. You can buy them onsite, but you’ll pay for the privilege. Instead, we recommended ordering some of these ponchos to pack and take with you.

Travelling with children, you’ll be used to packing spare clothes for them, and it’s no different in Disney. You may want to consider taking a spare outfit for yourself too. They’re long days and if you fancy freshening up part way through, it saves a trip back to the hotel. Pack it all in a large backpack, ideally one with compartments so you can easily find what you need throughout the day!

Another top tip to pack in the Mary Poppins bag… Small toys or fidget spinners. They can be helpful for entertaining little ones in the queues.

Is it worth visiting Disneyland Paris?

Disney isn’t for everyone. It’s not a “relaxing” break away. They are long days, it’s costly and it can be overwhelming. Kids still tantrum there too… Trust us, we’ve got the tshirt! Having said that, if you do think it’s for you, we cannot urge you enough to go for it.

The magic is beyond anything else. The cast members go above and beyond to provide that famous Disney service and truly make you feel like you’re “home”.

The fun, the magic and the joy that comes with a trip to Disneyland Paris gives you something to hold onto forever. It goes beyond the attractions, it’s a feeling. Whether you’re 5 or 55, you’ll be immersed into feeling like a kid again and leave your worries behind.

Is Disneyland Paris suitable for small children?

There’s no age limit at Disney, so please don’t let this stop you. You’ve probably heard it before “they’re too young!” Of course, small children may not remember it. But you will. You’ll remember seeing the magic through their eyes which is truly priceless. For the older children or thrill seekers in the family, there’s plenty of rides for them to scream if they want to go faster. Ensuring we covered bases for all ages was critical for us, Disney absolutely has something for everyone.

What is the best month to visit Disneyland Paris?

If you want to avoid crowds, January and March are generally the best months to visit. However, crowds shouldn’t be as much of a worry as other aspects of your trip, like attraction availability. September is also a light crowd at Disneyland Paris .

For seasonal events and attractions, summer is the best time to visit as well as between October and December. During these months, Disneyland Paris holds spectacular events for Halloween and Christmas that are unmissable if you have extra budget spare.

Of course as well as crowds and attractions, you need to consider the weather. Disneyland Paris can become quite cold depending on the season. If you want to avoid rain, don’t go in May - the month statistically has the most rain each year in Paris.

Do you need to rent a car to visit Disneyland Paris?

If you choose to fly from the UK to Disneyland Paris, you may wish to hire a car at the airport upon arrival. It’s worth bearing in mind, however, that if you’re a Disney hotel guest, you do get free parking at hotels thanks to the Disney Easy Pass provided. If you’re staying offsite, you’re looking at fees of €30 per day for a car.

What can you not do at Disneyland Paris?

To maintain its status as one of the happiest places on earth, there are certain rules that apply to guests visiting Disneyland Paris. This includes banning improper dress, costumes, makeup or tattoos that may offend, shock or scare children. You’re not allowed to use scooters, skateboards, roller blades, or bicycles while visiting. Children under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent, and animals are not allowed in the parks with the exception of assistance and guide dogs.

Bear in mind it’s going to be cold in January at Disneyland Paris, so you’ll want to wrap up warm! Think layers, as there aren’t too many sheltered places around the parks. Once the cold gets through your clothes it can be difficult to warm up again.

A great tip is to take a break during the day if you’re staying in an onsite hotel and go back for a rest and to warm up. Maybe grab a hot chocolate, or warm drink.

A school half term break falls in February. Usually somewhere in the middle around Valentine’s Day for UK schools. French schools have a Winter holiday during February that lasts for around two weeks, generally around the last two weeks in the month.

Factor this decision in when booking your break to Disneyland Paris in February, as the crowds will be a lot larger during the UK school half term break.

The weather in February will still be cold, and again like visiting in January, you’ll want to wrap up warm and wear lots of layers.

Disneyland Paris In March

Depending on when Easter falls during the year, March can be a great quiet time to visit Disneyland Paris. If Easter is in April, then March is the time to go. The weather starts to warm up slightly, but can still be cold. 

The park will be decorated for Spring, and with no scheduled school holidays , you should be able to get lots done in the parks, even if you’re only visiting for a couple of days.

Disneyland Paris In April

The question you may be asking is is Disneyland Paris busy at Easter? Easter generally falls in April. Expect the parks to be very busy, especially around the four day weekend around Good Friday and Easter Monday.

That’s not to say you can’t still have a good time at Disneyland Paris in April, your visit may just require some additional planning.

Disneyland Paris weather in April is beginning to get warmer, and with the start of Daylight Saving Time which happens on the last Saturday in March in France.

This extra hour means additional daylight and the rides will stay open longer. This will help offset the larger crowds. slightly.

The weather in May can be a blessing and a curse. You can be treated to some amazingly warm days, but it is also known to rain during May.

This may affect your park days, however if you pack a light raincoat then I recommend carrying on and enjoying your visit.

Is Disneyland Paris busy in June? Visiting Disneyland Paris in June is the start of what is hopefully great weather. However it’ll also bring the crowds with the peak holiday season that will typically last until the end of August.

With warm days and the park decorated for Summer, you could be enjoying firework shows at 10pm at night, and plenty of parades throughout the day.

With busier crowds, your planning may have to be thought about to ensure you can achieve everything on your Disneyland Paris bucket list through your visit.

Disneyland Paris In July

Expect big crowds at Disneyland Paris during July. Schools break up for French schools in early July depending on the region, and they last all the way through August.

Summer weather can be very hot, so it’s important to pack for the season and take plenty of sunscreen. There aren’t huge amounts of shade in the standby lines of some rides, and with high crowds, there can be long waits.

The parks will be open later until around 10pm or even 11pm, so why not plan your days to rest during the hottest part.

You can always return to the parks during the evening when the weather starts to cool a little and other guests are leaving after a long day.

Disneyland Paris In August

Visiting Disneyland Paris in August is similar to visiting in July. Expect there to be large crowds and the weather to be hot. The Disneyland Paris peak season begins each year with the Easter crowds.

I recommend breaking up the day and visiting early in the morning and then again in the evening. Take advantage of your Disneyland Paris hotel swimming pool if you have access to one.

A DISNEY expert has revealed the cheapest and quietest time to visit Disneyland Paris.

Travel planner Martin Ross has shared a tip for picking the quietest time to visit Disneyland Paris - don't go during the French school holidays.

He explained that avoiding French school holidays will have a huge impact on how busy the park will be, as families will often take trips while the kids are off school.

While most English and French school holidays are at the same time, there is a key one that doesn't overlap, and Martin said that is both the quietest and cheapest time to go.

He told Sun Online Travel : "If you've got kids and you're bound by school holidays then definitely go in May half term because the French kids aren't on school holidays so the parks are much quieter.

"On top of that, it's also a lovely time of year to visit France because the weather is warm and sunny, but not too hot."

While nice weather will definitely make the trip more enjoyable, Martin explained that it can also make the trip longer.

He said: "Because it's sunnier than in the winter, the parks stay open later - most days until 9.30pm or 10pm. That means you get longer in the park because it's open for more hours."

While it's one of the quietest times of year to visit the park, on the face of it, it isn't the cheapest. However, Martin explained that if you work out how much time you'll get in the park, May does end up being the cheapest time of year to go.

He said: "If you look at the actual cost of the holiday, January is the cheapest time of year to go, but the park shuts at 6pm because it gets dark.

"But In May the park stays open much later so if you work it out, May is cheaper per hour than January, which, in a way, makes it the cheapest month to visit."

Additionally, Martin recommended going to Disneyland during February half term, which is also fairly quiet and cheap.

He said: "February half term is a good time to go because French families tend to go skiing. So although the school holidays do overlap, hardly any French people go to the park so it's normally fairly quiet."

He went on to explain when the busiest times of year to visit are and, unsurprisingly, he said Christmas can be "totally manic".

He said: "Over October half term, the French have two weeks of holiday, so at the end of October and beginning of November it's very busy in the park.

"Then over all of December is totally manic with Christmas and New Year's Eve so I wouldn't recommend going then, especially if it's your first time."

Several decorations on Disney’s legendary Main Street, U.S.A. are coming down.

While the Disney theme parks are all home to incredible rides and attractions, as well as their famous family-friendly atmosphere, there may not be a more magical place to visit than Main Street, U.S.A.

Main Street, U.S.A., is arguably one of the most recognizable and important parts of the Disney theme park experience, with versions of this turn-of-the-century town present at nearly every Disney resort on Earth. As soon as guests enter Disneyland Park or Magic Kingdom , they are instantly transported into a wonderfully realized town full of classic Americana details, shops, stores, cafes, and attractions.

Depending on which Disney theme park guests are visiting, they will find a stunning castle at the end of Main Street, ranging from the massive Cinderella Castle in Florida to the original, miniature-sized Sleeping Beauty Castle in California.

This experience is present at Disneyland Paris , which features an incredibly unique rendition of this iconic Disney theme park area.

At the end of Paris’ Main Street, guests will find Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is perhaps Disney’s best castle to date. However, several pieces of decor have been retired.

These pieces of decor have been used for quite a while, meaning certain guests may have grown used to seeing them as they enter Disney World. There is currently no word on when Main Street, U.S.A., will return to normal at Disneyland Paris, with the entire resort undergoing changes.

In recent months, guests have seen several iconic locations, like the LEGO Store and Planet Hollywood, shut down as this large-scale renovation project continues at Disneyland Paris

Earlier this year, Walt Disney Studios’ Studio 1 location closed permanently as part of the park’s total transformation. Disneyland Paris is comprised of two theme parks, the original Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. The former has been in operation since 1992, with Walt Disney Studios Park officially opening in 2002.

This theme park has been highly critiqued since it opened, with some fans calling it the “worst” Disney theme park on Earth. While Walt Disney Studios has plenty of rides and attractions to offer guests, guests take issue with the park’s theme itself.

Walt Disney Studios took inspiration from Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park at Walt Disney World, with the park originally focusing on giving guests “behind the scenes” looks at filmmaking. Over time, this theme became more and more antiquated, and with the release of newer attractions and lands like Avengers Campus, it became clear that Walt Disney Studios needed a fresh start.

As part of the renovations, Disneyland Paris announced that this theme park would be getting a new name to better match this new era. Soon, Walt Disney Studios will be known as Disney Adventure World, theoretically giving Disney more creative freedom to create and design rides without being limited to this Hollywood backlot theme.

Nick Cannon and Bre Tiesi Spend Disneyland Day in 'Daddy' and 'Mommy' Jerseys with Son Legendary

Bre Tiesi is sharing memories from a magical day at Disneyland with Nick Cannon and their baby boy!

The parents took their son Legendary Love — who turns 2 this month — on a trip to Disneyland in Los Angeles recently, and the reality star, 33, shared highlights from their day to Instagram on Friday, July 5.

"Disneyland 🏰🐭💫" she captioned the carousel of photos full of snapshots from their day at the amusement park.

Cannon, 43, and Tiesi posed with their son between them in some photos, with some snaps including cameos from Donald Duck and Daisy Duck.

Tiesi and Legendary also posed with loved ones other photos.

The mom-and-dad duo wore black jerseys with "Mommy" and "Daddy" emblazoned on the back and paired them with Mickey Mouse ears. The Masked Singer host chose a wizard's hat that featured the iconic ears.

Their outfits matched Legendary's, whose jersey had his name on the back. The final photo in the Instagram post showed the trio walking toward a castle at the resort.

Legendary is Cannon's only child with the Selling Sunset star, but he has 11 other children.

He has twins Morocco and Monroe with ex  Mariah Carey along with sons  Golden Sagon  and  Rise Messiah Cannon  and daughter  Powerful Queen  with Brittany Bell .

Cannon also shares twins  Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir  and daughter  Beautiful Zeppelin  with  Abby De La Rosa and daughter  Onyx Ice Cole  with  LaNisha Cole .

The comedian also shares two children with  Alyssa Scott  — son  Zen , who  died  at five months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and daughter  Halo Marie Cannon , born in December 2022.

In an interview published July 1 with Entertainment Tonight , Tiesi said that Cannon manages his big, blended family well.

"I feel like that's why no one ever hears anything because we're all happy. We all make it work," Tiesi said of Cannon spending time between all of his kids.

"He's such a good person, genuinely, and he really cares and he does want to be there and he's never gonna blow anything off."

How Paris Hopes the Summer Olympics Will Transform the City—for Good

All eyes are fixed on Paris —the world’s most-visited city—as it gears up to welcome up to 10 million travelers next month for the 2024 Summer Olympics . But the world is paying attention to far more than just the sporting events this year, as the games' flashy new infrastructure projects aim to transform the city: Perhaps most notably, Paris has spent $1.5 billion attempting to clean up the Seine River to open it to swimming—something that pollution has made impossible for the past century . The city aims to open three public swimming spots on the river by next summer—just one of many initiatives that will affect Parisians and travelers far after the games are over.

Yet concerns from city leaders about the broader environmental and economic impact of hosting the Olympic Games led to bid withdrawals and fewer applicants in recent years. Paris 2024 is meant to mark a turning point in Olympic history: The IOC says these will be the first Games to be guided by the Paris Climate Agreement and fully aligned with the Olympics Agenda 2020, a roadmap of reforms established at the end of 2014 to adapt the massive event to the world’s most pressing environmental issues. The ultimate goal? To host the most sustainable Olympics in history—which will in turn shape the way travelers navigate and experience the Paris region moving forward.

From an environmental standpoint, 95% of the Olympic venues will be existing facilities or reusable temporary structures, each powered by 100% renewable energy and all accessible by public transport. By limiting new construction, organizers were able to focus the bulk of their efforts on how the Games will impact the city’s residents—particularly those living in Seine-Saint-Denis, the poorest and most socially fragmented department in France .

“It was not about having Paris adapt to a predefined concept, but for the Games to be tailored to the city’s particular challenges and needs,” Marie Sollis, the IOC’s Director for Sustainability, tells Condé Nast Traveler . “In this case, that need is bridging the social and economic divide between central Paris and Greater Paris.”

The Seine-Saint-Denis department, north of Paris—which is also home to Stade de France, the largest stadium in France—will host the 2024 Olympic Games' aquatics center and Olympic Village.

Investing in Seine-Saint-Denis

With 26.7% of its population living beneath the poverty line, Seine-Saint-Denis stands to benefit the most from Olympics investment if all goes according to plan. Of the 4.4 billion euros (about $4.7 billion) spent by the country’s Olympic construction company, Solideo, to develop and restore permanent Olympic structures, 80% is being used to build a new aquatics center and Olympic Village in this department north of Paris. (The area will also host athletics and rugby sevens events in the Stade de France, the largest stadium in France.)

The Olympic Village, a 128-acre site built on former industrial wastelands encompassing three towns along the Seine , Saint-Ouen, Saint-Denis, and L’Ile-Saint-Denis, was designed not only for the 14,000 Olympic and Paralympic athletes who will live on-site during the Games, but also for the 6,000 permanent residents who will move in once they leave. By the end of 2025, the village’s buildings will be transformed into 2,800 permanent priced-capped housing units, 25% of which will be reserved for social housing.

The so-called eco-quarter is built primarily from reused materials, low-carbon timber, and glass, and powered by geothermal and solar energy. In addition to economically and environmentally sustainable lodging, the village will give locals access to 17 acres of green space and new bike paths, house offices, approximately 30 different shops, a daycare center, and a student residence.

On top of that, the influx of cash from both public and private investment has allowed for the renovation of two local schools in Saint-Ouen and the refurbishment of existing pools throughout neighboring towns. In addition to the new Aquatics Center, two temporary pools used for Olympic competitions and warm-ups at the Paris La Défense Arena will be relocated to Seine-Saint-Denis in the months following the Games. These basins, composed of a modular wall system using stainless steel and a white laminated PVC surface, will be repurposed for residents, sports clubs, and students.

“Concretely, this means more infrastructure in an area of France with the fewest facilities for the community, and where 50% of children entering secondary school don’t know how to swim,” says Tania Braga, who leads the IOC legacy department. With support from Paris 2024, the French Ministry of National Education has also launched a 30-minute daily exercise program in over 1,000 primary schools throughout France.

Karim Bouamrane, the mayor of Saint-Ouen, sees the Games as an accelerator for change that would have otherwise taken decades to achieve. “Seine-Saint-Denis is the poorest department in France, chronically under-resourced in terms of public services and sports infrastructure, with difficulties in giving hope to new generations; the Olympics strengthens our ability to nurture that hope.”

The Olympic investment in the neighborhoods has indirectly attracted commercial development to the area as well: Tesla moved its French headquarters to Saint-Ouen, Tony Parker's Adéquat Academy will open an outpost nearby, and the new Saint-Ouen Grand Paris Nord teaching hospital plans to welcome its first students by 2028. H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort , a four-star, 700-room behemoth located in Seine-Saint-Denis’ tallest skyscraper, la Tour Pleyel, opens July 8 with a rooftop bar, pool, and 16 different event rooms, targeting business travelers and corporate conventions.

Saint-Denis’ mayor Mathieu Hanotin sees the hotel project as one arm of a broader municipal strategy to put the Pleyel district, as it has been nicknamed, on the tourism map. “With this new positioning, the arrival of [new] metros and the Olympics, we can take our place in the Paris ecosystem,” Hanotin told Le Monde.

Can Paris pull off the most sustainable olympics in history?

The local developments, alongside the Games' broader sustainability ambitions , which include cutting its carbon emissions in half compared to past editions in London or Rio, all sounds great on paper. However, whether or not Paris 2024 will live up to the ambitious title of the most sustainable Olympics in history will depend mainly on what happens when all the delegations return home.

“The long-term success of the city’s post-Games ambitions, particularly for socially vulnerable communities, relies on deployment and means. Very few Olympics host cities have been successful on this front,” says James Lima, whose firm JLP+D works on large-scale urban planning and development projects in the US focused on social inclusion. “Paris has shown itself to be a leader in urban transformation and social programs, however, and is perhaps better positioned than most.”

Still, some of the Olympic preparations have sparked controversy. On the French Polynesian island of Tahiti, where surfing competitions will unfold, local surfers, fishermen, and environmentalists have raised concerns for marine life since the beginning of the year when it was announced that Olympic organizers would build a new viewing tower in the reef lagoon at Teahupo’o. Other locals struggled to imagine how their village would sustain an influx of visitors. The IOC responded by scaling back construction and reassuring the community that in-person spectatorship would be limited due to the village's size and the surfing reef's offshore location–thereby minimizing travel-related emissions. But as the AFP reported , “reducing emissions doesn’t necessarily mean preserving the environment.”

Whether we can truly talk about sustainability within the framework of the current Olympics format is perhaps the bigger question to ask as millions of travelers fly into a host city from all corners of the globe–the main source of Olympic Games greenhouse gas emissions, according to Professor Martin Müller of University of Lausanne. And those emissions are significant, particularly when considering the Paris tourism board’s latest report that projects that international flight arrivals will climb 11.4% during the Olympic period (July 26-August 11) versus summer 2023. (Paris 2024 impact goals take these emissions into account.)

“The environmental impact can’t be ignored. But I believe there is something visceral and hopeful about an in-person experience like this,” says Lima. “Maybe the Paris model will inspire a new way.” And finding the right way to come together in peace, particularly when the world is beset by war and conflict, is not only crucial but an important component of the discussion around sustainability.

The real lesson from this effort to overhaul the way the Olympics is carried out is that the tenets guiding it, such as environmental impact, community regeneration and preservation, low-emission transport, local food consumption, and multicultural togetherness, don’t only apply to mega events. They are the same principles informing the future of travel . If Paris 2024 will demonstrate anything, it’s that a more responsible approach to experiencing the world’s greatest destinations is not only possible—it’s the only way forward.

If you’re anything like me, the idea of booking a trip to Disneyland Paris crosses your mind at least once a month.

With summer winding down, you might be wondering, “ Does Disneyland Paris do anything special for Halloween? ”

Well, you’re in for a treat! From October 1 to November 3, 2024, Disneyland Paris will host its spooky season, filled with exciting tricks and treats. Here’s what we know so far about this enchanting Halloween celebration!

Crowd Levels: How Busy Will Disneyland Paris Be at Halloween?

You have to approach Halloween at Disneyland Paris with a strategic game plan ( dramatic, I know ). This is all due to varying crowd levels.

As with any major attraction, weekends and local school breaks are peak times, with Halloween itself drawing particularly large crowds. To enhance your experience, try to make it a weekday visit, or take advantage of Disneyland Paris’ FastPass system to manage wait times and ensure you don’t miss out. 

We also highly recommend making use of the Disneyland Paris app , which allows you to see the current wait time of each ride. Rather than tackling the parks by section, put your running shoes on and jump from ride to ride with the smallest queue times . We did this and it went down without a hitch.

TOP TIP #1 : if you see Crush’s Coaster’s queue between 35-45 minutes- go get in the queue ASAP! Its unlikely to be less than this.

Halloween Transformations: Are Adults Allowed to Dress Up During Halloween at Disneyland Paris?

Believe it or not… YES!  

Every single visitor on October 31st are welcome to wear Halloween-themed costumes. Just make sure it doesn’t conceal your face entirely, or include accessories that resemble firearms . 

They will also be particularly wary of costumes that cover the entire body, so be prepared to be asked if they can do a security scan or inspection . It’s for everyone’s safety, which we can all appreciate. Disneyland’s regular bag policy will still apply. 

Masks for guests aged 12 and above (except for medical reasons), and clothing that trails on the ground are also not permitted. 

All they ask is that you don’t pose for photos or sign autographs ( no matter how much you want to be a Disney Princess for the day ). 

As well as this, Disneyland Paris has announced an extended closing time of 11pm on Halloween, and special moments instead of separate ticketed events. 

Spooky Decorations: Halloween Decorations at Disneyland Paris

At Disneyland Paris, Halloween decorations transform the park with classic elements such as pumpkins, festive lights, lanterns, and friendly skeletons .

This spooky ambiance extends to the Disneyland Paris hotels , which will feature autumn-themed décor for the first time. 

Every corner of both parks will wow you and your family with its wickedly-wonderful atmosphere. 

Make sure you have a full camera battery, as the Halloween season at Disneyland Paris is definitely one for the photo albums!

Character Encounters: Which Disney Characters Will Be There?

During Halloween at Disneyland Paris, villains take center stage during with the likes of Maleficent, Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, and many others transforming the Disney princesses’ domain into their own haunting realm.

Don’t fret though- your beloved classic characters will still be present, though possibly with a spine-chilling twist . This unique change to all our familiar favourites will definitely add an exciting layer to your Disneyland Paris experience!

Entertainment: Parades and Shows at Disneyland Paris Halloween

What is Disneyland Paris without its shows? Mickey Mouse will bless us with his Illusion Manor , with multiple daily showings and a lively cavalcade , alongside the regular Disney Stars on Parade . Mickey’s Halloween celebration promises joyful moments with the Mischief Makers dancing along the parade route to lively music, a brilliant spectacle in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Don’t miss the breath-taking drone and fountain show themed entirely around Disney Villains, which will take place just before Disney Dreams at the closing time of the park.

TOP TIP #2: If you are lucky enough to be at the parks for more than one day, follow this tip.

Day 1, enjoy the parade. Then on Day 2, take full advantage of everyone enjoying the parade as queue times will plummet . We only waited 5 minutes for the Avengers Ride as we ran to the Studio’s park to jump on the bigger rides whilst no one was in there.

Thrill Factor: Will The Rides Be Scarier During Halloween?

No , none of the rides are changed for Halloween. 

Both the Studio’s Tower of Terror ( probably our favourite ride at Disneyland Paris ), and Phantom Manor are a clear fan favourite for the Halloween season. 

However rides such as Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains , or La Tanière du Dragon are all naturally quite dark in comparison to other rides at Disneyland Paris. 

In fact, I’m 26 years old, and went on these rides with my 8 year old Niece… we were equally as freaked out as each other! 

Seasonal Delights: Halloween Food and Treats at Disneyland Paris 

Disneyland Paris spoils us with exciting Halloween treats like the Maleficent Sundae at Lucky Nugget , and the Wicked Whip cone . You can also enjoy themed treats such as the Mickey Mummy Lollipop.

Some of the bars and restaurants will offer fang-tastic beverages like the Little Devil Cocktail, Poisoned “Apple,” and the Oogie Boogie mocktail , making for a great dining experience throughout the parks.

Make sure to still enjoy all the other “regular” snacks that Disneyland Paris has to offer! 

Souvenirs: Best Halloween Souvenirs to Buy at Disneyland Paris

During this season, Disneyland Paris offers a range of exclusive Halloween souvenirs available throughout the parks.

Look out for themed collections dedicated to Mickey & Friends, Disney Villains, and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas , providing unique keepsakes for you to cherish long after you’ve left the Disney gates behind.

Despite the higher risk of big crowds, the atmosphere just captures  you completely and you honestly just don’t care about how many people are around you. The moderate temperatures in France during October also help massively.

Olympics | U.S. investigating Chinese swimmers’ doping tests

23 athletes tested positive for a banned substance in 2021 yet were allowed to compete in the tokyo olympics.

The news comes just three weeks before the Paris Olympics, where 11 of the Chinese swimmers who tested positive for the banned heart medication three years ago are set to compete.

The swimmers won three gold medals for China at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, just weeks after the World Anti-Doping Agency declined to challenge Chinese authorities’ explanation of food contamination at a hotel to justify not suspending them.

Those decisions, which World Aquatics separately reached also, were not revealed until reporting in April by the New York Times and German broadcaster ARD.

A House Committee on China asked the Justice Department and the FBI on May 21 to investigate the case under a federal law that allows probes into suspected doping conspiracies even if they occurred outside the U.S.

World Aquatics confirmed to The Associated Press on Thursday that executive director Brent Nowicki was subpoenaed to testify in the investigation.

“World Aquatics can confirm that its executive director, Brent Nowicki, was served with a witness subpoena by the United States government,” the federation said in a statement to AP. “He is working to schedule a meeting with the government, which, in all likelihood will obviate the need for testimony before a Grand Jury.”

World Aquatics declined to answer questions about where and when Nowicki was served his subpoena and didn’t say which office was handling the investigation.

“Per our standard practice, the FBI does not confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation,” the bureau said Thursday in an email reply.

The Chinese swimmers case could become the highest-profile use so far of a U.S. federal law passed in 2020 in fallout from the long-running scandal of Russian state-backed doping in sports.

The 23 swimmers tested positive for trimetazidine in January 2021 and those were filed weeks later in the global anti-doping database. They included Zhang Yufei, who went on take Olympic gold in the women’s 200-meter butterfly and 4×200 freestyle relay, and Wang Shun, the men’s 200 medley champion.

A later investigation by Chinese state authorities said traces of the substance were found in the kitchen of a hotel where the team stayed. No explanation has been given about how and why the drug prescribed in pill form got there.

WADA accepted the theory which allowed the Chinese swimmers to continue to compete, and has since described it as “a relatively straightforward case of mass contamination.”

The agency has since defended its handling of the case that was kept secret in 2021, saying it had no way to independently disprove the theory during the COVID-19 pandemic when travel to China was not possible.

Lawyers for WADA said in April this year they did not have evidence to win separate appeals against the 23 swimmers before the Tokyo Olympics. Any appeals seeking suspensions for the swimmers would have been heard at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, where Nowicki was a long-time senior counsel before joining World Aquatics in 2021.

“This scandal raises serious legal, ethical, and competitive concerns and may constitute a broader state-sponsored strategy by the People’s Republic of China to unfairly compete at the Olympic Games in ways Russia has previously done,” the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party said in the letter to the Justice Department and FBI.

The case was also raised at a congressional hearing last month in which swimming great Michael Phelps said athletes have lost faith in WADA as the global watchdog trying to keep cheaters out of sports.

Officials from the Montreal-based agency declined an invitation to come to the hearing, saying it would be “inappropriate to be pulled into a political debate before a U.S. congressional committee regarding a case from a different country, especially while an independent review into WADA’s handling of the case is ongoing.”

That review report is pending from a WADA-appointed former public prosecutor in the Swiss canton of Vaud that is home to the International Olympic Committee and governing bodies of many Olympic sports.

U.S. Anti-Doping Agency chief executive Travis Tygart suggested to The Associated Press an ongoing federal investigation could make sport officials traveling to the U.S. “fearful that they may have to answer questions about their activities from the FBI.”

The U.S. will host the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles, and in Paris on July 24 the IOC should confirm Salt Lake City as host for the 2034 Winter Games.

The Rodchenkov Anti-Doping Act, named for a whistleblower who exposed Russian state-backed doping, passed with bipartisan backing. It received broad support from the global sports world for its aims to criminalize doping.

However, WADA lobbied against what it saw as a risk of overreach from the “extraterritorial” jurisdiction it could give to U.S. federal agencies, and the IOC also voiced concerns.

The Rodchenkov Act, Tygart said, “was enacted in 2021 with broad athlete, sport and multinational governmental support because WADA could not be trusted to be a strong, fair global watchdog to protect clean athletes and fair sport.”

Michelle Navarro and Christopher Zegunis met at a six-week magic course in Los Angeles, where they bonded over their mutual love of Disneyland and their strategic approach to visiting the theme park.

Magic was in the air the first time Michelle Navarro and Christopher Zegunis met. It was 10 a.m. on a Saturday in November 2016, and the two were the first arrivals for a class at the Magic Castle, a private club for magicians in Los Angeles.

“We started talking and I thought, he’s a cute guy,” Ms. Navarro said.

Their immediate connection developed during the next six weeks as they learned and practiced magic tricks together. “Crushes developed,” Ms. Navarro said.

On the last day of the course, Mr. Zegunis made his move. “I like this girl,” he said. “I should just ask her out.” He invited her for dinner at a gastro pub called Public School 310 in Culver City, Calif.

The date lasted all evening, as they moved on from the restaurant to a bar. “He was so much fun,” she said. “I was constantly laughing.”

Ms. Navarro, 39, a senior director of media services at the Fox Corporation, was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering. Mr. Zegunis, 53, a logistics coordinator at Toms Shoes, grew up in Rockford, Ill., and moved to Los Angeles 25 years ago.

They moved in together in Los Angeles, in August 2019, a few months before the coronavirus pandemic began. “That was a big test,” Mr. Zegunis said. “I never got tired. It was never like, ‘What did I get myself into?’ That’s probably when I realized this is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.”

Ms. Navarro said her commitment to Mr. Zegunis became clear to her when she realized how much she relied on Mr. Zegunis’s support in daily struggles, like work anxiety, but also during major periods of grief, like the death of her mother in 2019. “He was really there for me,” she said. “There was no hesitation. He was all in.”

Early on, the two bonded over their shared love of Disneyland. “It seems frivolous, but it’s a microcosm of our entire relationship and how aligned we are on so many things,” Mr. Zegunis said.

He described one of their early visits to the theme park, in June 2019, as one of “the single best times of my life.” Ms. Navarro called it “euphoric.”

“If you go to Disneyland with the wrong person, it can suck,” Mr. Zegunis said. “There’s a certain mind-set you have to have to do it right. There’s a certain hustle involved to make sure you’re getting on certain rides, there’s a strategy. We’re both so much in that mind-set.”

The two are regulars at the park now, visiting once or twice every year. It has become an even more special place since Mr. Zegunis’s proposal.

In April 2022, when he was at a magic show with Ms. Navarro, everybody in the audience was asked to write down a secret. Afterward, all the secrets were read aloud anonymously.

“His was, ‘I’m going to propose to my girlfriend on her birthday,’ ” Ms. Navarro said. A month earlier, Mr. Zegunis had concocted a proposal plan and had written the secret down as a way of committing himself to the timeline, not expecting that it would be revealed. “It almost blew up in my face,” he said of his plan.

Luckily, he convinced Ms. Navarro that he’d written down a different secret: “I’m Batman.”

A few days before Ms. Navarro turned 38 that August, her grandmother died. Mr. Zegunis had already planned an elaborate series of events, including a surprise party and a magic show, to celebrate her birthday and to propose, but decided to hold off on the second part.

“I was calling our friends asking if I should go ahead with it, and my best man said to me, ‘Do you want the first place where she tells her friends and family she was engaged to be at her grandmother’s funeral?’”

Instead, he waited until they visited Disneyland two weeks later. During a photo shoot that Ms. Navarro had scheduled, Mr. Zegunis pulled out a diamond ring that had belonged to her mother, and with which she had wanted him to propose. He descended to one knee and asked Ms. Navarro to marry him. Afterward, they had a steak dinner at Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, followed by drinks at the poolside bar with a few friends.

When it came time to choose the wedding location, there was no debate. “She told me authoritatively we’re getting married in Hawaii, and I was like, zero complaints,” Mr. Zegunis said.

Ms. Navarro’s love of the island goes back more than a decade. “In 2011, I traveled to Hawaii for work and fell in love with this village,” she said, referring to Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island. “I was having dinners by myself and I thought one day it would be nice to come here with someone I love.”

Her wish came true, as 49 guests joined her and Mr. Zegunis for their wedding at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on June 23. The couple were married by Michaela Lehuanani Larson, an officiant licensed in the state of Hawaii. Mr. Zegunis will take Ms. Navarro’s last name.

The daughter of close friends, Grace Corbett, sang “Rest of My Life” by Bruno Mars as Ms. Navarro walked down the aisle in the resort’s gardens. “I love Bruno Mars, and my mom also loved him,” Ms. Navarro said.

Ms. Navarro incorporated various local elements into the celebrations. The welcome party featured a hula dancer and a ukulele performer, and during the ceremony, the bride and groom exchanged leis. At the reception, the buffet included kalua pig and poke, and the performers included Polynesian drummers and fire knife dancers.

“My mom passed away five years ago, and Hawaii was the place where we went for vacation,” Ms. Navarro said. “It will always have a special place in my heart.”
