Oasis has endured a busy period of late after coming off an extended hiatus that left many fans uncertain about the band’s future status. Unbeknownst to the masses, in late August, the Manchester-formed group, known for cult classics like “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova,” dropped its first tour dates since 2009. In the days that followed the initial announcement, more dates were added in their native UK due to the popularity of their return. Now, Liam Gallagher has shared some insight on their return and future touring plans outside of Europe.

As first reported by Stereogum , the younger Gallagher brother took part in a virtual conversation with fans via Twitter/X, addressing questions about new music, future concerts, and more, which assists in painting a picture of what Oasis’ future might entail. Via the fan-sparked chain that rejected a gossip blog’s claim: “Liam Gallagher has lashed out at Oasis fans, telling them to ‘shut up’ over ticket fiasco.” With a touch of humor, the musician responded to the thread: “I’m not scared of the SQUARES.”

The aforementioned response was the first of many that touched on the band’s current trajectory. Back and forth continued, with another fan asking, “Mate it might be jumping the gun abit but A feel an albums in the air? Imagine.” Confirming speculation, Gallagher replied, “It’s in the bag mate fuck the air.” For US fans, one individual questioned the possibility of North American dates. He confirmed, “We are im there now I love it.”

In As Close To An Oasis Reunion As We’re Likely To Get, Liam Gallagher Is Celebrating The Band’s Debut With An Anniversary Tour

Derrick Rossignol

For years now, Oasis fans have been clamoring for the band to reunite, but given the ever-present tension between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher , a comeback doesn’t necessarily seem likely. Perhaps the next best thing is coming soon, though: Today (October 15), Liam announced that he’s celebrating the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe , Oasis’ 1994 debut album, by taking it on tour.

The tour runs throughout June 2024 and includes shows in the UK and Ireland. Dates for the US and other countries have not been announced. Gallagher says he’s performing the album in full, along with “select B-sides from the era.”

It doesn’t appear that Noel will be involved with the tour, but as The Guardian notes , co-founding Oasis member Paul Arthurs (also known as Bonehead) will likely join, as he tours as part of Liam’s band.

Watch the trailer for the tour above and check out the tour dates below. Find more information about tickets here .

Liam Gallagher Announces Summer 2024 Tour Where He Will Perform Oasis' Debut Album 'Definitely Maybe'

The former Oasis singer will perform the album in full in honor of its 30th anniversary

Liam Gallagher will definitely be bringing back an old favorite.

In an Instagram post , the British singer-songwriter, 51, announced the Definitely Maybe 30 Years Tour — a small 2024 string of shows where Gallagher will perform Oasis' former band’s debut LP, Definitely Maybe .

"I'm bouncing around the house to announce the Definitely Maybe Tour. The most important album of the ‘90s bar none. I wouldn't be anywhere without it and neither would you, so let’s celebrate together LG x," he wrote alongside a tour poster.

The tour is set to launch June 2 in Sheffield and will run through June 27, where it concludes in Manchester.

Liam will also be visiting cities including London, Dublin and Glasgow, Scotland, along the way.

In the post, he revealed that tickets for the tour will go on sale Oct. 20 on Friday, 9 a.m. BST.

Next year's tour will be the first time the "Wall of Glass" musician performed Definitely Maybe since the band split in 2009.

Definitely Maybe , which was released in 1994, solidified Oasis as one of Britpop's biggest stars, producing longtime favorite tracks like "Supersonic," "Live Forever" and "Slide Away.

At the time, it was the fastest-selling debut album in the U.K. ever, and it sold 8.5 million copies worldwide.

Though it seems unlikely Liam's brother and Oasis bandmate Noel will be joining him for any of the dates, but in May, Noel, 56, spoke with SPIN about the prospect of performing the band's debut album.

“If Liam wants to do the show, great. He’s got to make a living and all of that,” he told the outlet. “Keep the flame alive. It’s not something I particularly would be able to put my heart and soul into.”

As Liam told fans who inquired about Noel on X Tuesday, "He’s been asked and he’s refused."

Liam Gallagher says new Oasis album is finished, confirms US tour

Sep 9 News Aaron Cousin

In August, Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis announced that they've put their brotherly rivalry on pause for a reunion tour, their first one since their split in 2009. And according to singer Liam Gallagher, Oasis have also reunited for a new album and also plan on touring the US.

On X, Liam Gallagher has been responding to fans' questions about the tour and the future of Oasis. X user @0asissupersonic asked Liam "is it true that oasis will have a new album???" Liam then responded with "Yep it's already finished."

Yep it’s already finished — Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) September 7, 2024

Another user, @BoxingStPeters, asked him the same question, to which he responded:

It’s in the bag mate fuck the air — Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) September 7, 2024

When asked to describe the new album with one word, Liam responded to user @godlikeLG and said "TURDOS," which has fans in the replies scratching their heads as to what this could possibly mean.

TURDOS — Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) September 7, 2024

As for a tour for US fans hoping to see their favorite 90s britpop band back in action, Liam told user @bitofmarg that Oasis will indeed be making their rounds in the US as well. For when that may be? I guess we'll have to wait for Oasis to make an official announcement.

With the brothers now seemingly burying the hatchet, new tours, and a new album announced by none other than the lead singer of the band himself, Oasis fans are sure to be excited for this new era of the band.

Liam Gallagher Makes Good on Promise of Revisiting Oasis’ ‘Definitely Maybe’ for 30th Anniversary Tour

While we may not be getting an Oasis reunion in 2024, Liam Gallagher has made good on his promise to revisit the band's Definitely Maybe album on dates celebrating the band's breakout record's 30th anniversary.

Back in May, Gallagher first announced his intent to celebrate the historic album anniversary for fans, noting in a tweet, "As it’s 30 years since DM was released nxt year I’m gonna be playing the album from start to finish in it’s original order at a few BIBLICAL venues." When one fan noted, "Can’t do this without Noel, so the comeback has got to be on," Liam responded, "Watch me." Another asked if this would be acoustic or how the material was originally performed, with Liam stating as it was originally performed. The singer also noted B-sides would be included, singling out the song "Cloudburst."

Now Gallagher has made good on his comments, revealing a 12-date tour of the U.K. and Ireland

“I’m bouncing around the house to announce the ‘Definitely Maybe’ Tour,” said Gallagher in a statement. “The most important album of the ‘90s bar none. I wouldn’t be anywhere without it and neither would you, so let’s celebrate together.

The trek kicks off in Sheffield on June 2, wrapping on June 27 in Manchester. Dates can be viewed at the bottom of this post, while tickets will go on sale this Friday (Oct. 20) at this location .

READ MORE: Why Noel Gallagher Won't Be Revisiting 'Definitely Maybe'

Definitely Maybe  put Oasis on the map with its release on Aug. 29, 1994. Led by the singles "Supersonic" and "Live Forever," the band became an instant sensation, garnering widespread critical acclaim and commercial success. Other cuts such as "Rock 'n' Roll Star," "Cigarettes and Alcohol," "Shakermaker" and "Slide Away" became fan favorites as well. The album was certified platinum in the U.S., but really racked up the numbers in their native U.K. where it's gone on to reach eight times platinum status.

Will more dates follow? Stay tuned.

Saw Liam in 2019 at MANC. What an awesome night - got on the front row which meant I had to stay in position for approx 4hrs before he came on - God was it worth it! Almost pissed myself but to get that close to a living legend i would have pissed myself!

Can I just say; what's all this bollocks about crowd interaction - Liam says the odd thing but that's not his style. I don't go to see LG to hear him talk bollocks to the crowd, I go to see him belt out LG tunes! Rock n Roll! These muppets saying he wasn't that good because he didn't interact with the crowd need to get a few more beers down them and just enjoy themselves. Love LG best performer in the world!

11/10 absolutely biblical. I go to concerts quite regularly but I have never experienced something quite like that. The atmosphere was incredible and Liams live vocals were very impressive. Set list was also perfect. Definitely the best night of my life so far, can’t stop thinking about it.

holly9094’s profile image

The venue was good and security checks were also good. As a performance Liam chose a good set list but I was disappointed to see so many people smoking in the venue especially when it’s indoors. My daughter is a big fan so she was with me, she enjoyed all the songs, as a performer he’s not as entertaining as a lot of bands I’ve seen and doesn’t really interact with the crowd as much as others either.

I probably wouldn’t see him again to be honest.

What will Liam Gallagher play on his 2024 Definitely Maybe tour?

31 October 2023, 20:35 | Updated: 2 May 2024, 17:31

Liam Gallagher

By Jenny Mensah

The Oasis legend will celebrate three decades of the band's debut album with a special string of dates, but what will be on the setlist?

Listen to this article

Liam Gallagher made his throng of fans very happy in October by announcing his Definitely Maybe 30th anniversary tour for 2024.

The former Oasis frontman will play the extra special shows to celebrate the band's debut album across the UK, with dates which include three gigs London and his hometown of Manchester.

Gallagher's nostalgic celebration has promised to see him play the album, which was released on 29th August 1994, in full with other memorable B-sides from across the era.

Liam as since revealed that he'll be very much sticking to the brief and will not be adding any solo favourites to the setlist. Telling one fan: "No solo stuffs def maybe album b sides I am the walrus that’s well worth 8 grand a ticket".

So what can we expect from the dates beyond the debut album and what will we see on the setlist? Let's find out below...

Liam Gallagher announces Definitely Maybe 30th anniversary tour dates

What will Liam Gallagher play at the Definitely Maybe 30th anniversary dates?

Liam Gallagher has promised to play Definitely Maybe IN FULL, which means we can pretty much guarantee he'll play the following in order.

  • Rock 'n' Roll Star
  • Shakermaker
  • Live Forever
  • Up in the Sky
  • Bring It On Down
  • Cigarettes & Alcohol
  • Digsy's Dinner
  • Married with Children

What B-sides will Liam Gallagher play at his Definitely Maybe 30th anniversary tour dates?

Liam Gallagher told fans not only would he be playing Definitely Maybe in full, but he'd also be treating fans to B-sides from the era, but just which B-sides can we expect to hear? He's already given us some indication online. Get our roundup of some of the possible tracks he could choose from below.

Oasis - Fade Away (Official Lyric Video)

This early Oasis track appeared as the B-side to Cigarettes and Alcohol when it was released in October in 1994 and it's remained a fan favourite ever since.

D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?

One of the songs that appeared on the original Oasis demo tape back in 1993, this Noel-sung tune originally appeared on the back of the Shakermaker single in June 1994, two months before the release of Definitely Maybe.

Liam also has previously performed the track live during his solo sets, so it would make sense for him to dust it off again.

I Am The Walrus

A live cover of The Beatles song also features on the B-side to Cigarettes & Alcohol and was performed live several times by the band while they were together.

Featuring on the B-side of Supersonic , the 1993 track is a firm favourite with Oasis fans and has been performed by Liam during his solo career, like when he played a special Radio X Presents gig for us in Manchester above (21:30).

Up In The Sky

liam gallagher us tour 2024

Oasis - Up In The Sky (Official Lyric Video)

The Live Forever B-side is one of the lesser-known Oasis tracks, so would be sure to be a treat for die hard fans. However, it also sees Liam use his falsetto, so might be slightly harder to pull off live 30 years later.

liam gallagher us tour 2024

Also on the B-side to Live Forever , Cloudburst is often considered as one of the most underrated of Oasis tracks. Could LG bring it out as a treat come next year?

Asked by a fan on X if he would be playing the song at The O2, he replied: "100 p cent".

liam gallagher - listen up (great version)

The 1994 track served as one of the songs on the B-side to Cigarettes & Alcohol and has been played by Liam in his solo performances, like the above at Isle Of Wight Festival.

While Whatever WASN'T A B-side, it is very much from the Definitely Maybe era. It was the band's first non-album single, released on 18th December 1994 as a Christmas single between Cigarettes & Alcohol (1994) and Rock 'n' Roll Star (1995).

Liam Gallagher live at Reading Festival 2024: the start of a new chapter for Oasis?

Little John’s Farm, August 25: the frontman gives the people almost everything they want… with perhaps a little left for next year

“I wanna dedicate this next song to Noel fucking Gallagher,” Liam Gallagher announces during his festival-closing headline set, before leading what feels like every punter onsite in a singalong to his big bro’s anthem ‘Half the World Away’. When he played the song at Leeds Festival on Friday (August 23), he teased: “It’s very interesting, innit? It’s a very interesting situation we’ve found ourselves in…”

  • READ MORE: The Masterlist – every song Oasis ever recorded ranked in order of greatness

What situation, you ask? Well, you don’t need to, obviously – by now you’ll have seen the video teaser that was beamed from the side of the screens after the show and soon shared across Liam’s, Noel’s and Oasis’ social media accounts: “27.08.24. 8am.” Rumours of an Oasis reunion swirled around the Reading Festival site all weekend – if you believed everything you heard, Noel himself was mooching about backstage – while Liam seemed to relish stoking the flames on Twitter/X.

No, Noel doesn’t saunter onstage tonight to give his cheeky younger brother a big cuddle and sing the high notes on ‘Live Forever’. And a short video teasing an announcement tomorrow might not quite be a best-case scenario, but, even on its own terms, this is a great gig that builds into a sensational one.

Liam Gallagher live at Reading 2024, photo by Andy Ford

Before the start of the ‘Definitely Maybe’ 30th anniversary show, which sees Liam perform Oasis’ flawless 1994 debut album in full – with the era’s B-sides thrown in for good measure – video screens depict clocks that count down from the present-day back to ’94. When Liam graces the Main Stage with original guitarist Bonehead, who’s in the band again after his cancer treatment, they turn back time for an audience who mostly weren’t even alive when the record was released. At first, the sound is a little muddy, with ‘Columbia’ slowed down to such a grungy trudge that the audience’s singing is actually ahead of Liam’s.

It’s a similar story with ‘Up in the Sky’. Gallagher Jr. likes to keep us on our toes, and when he reckons “there’s loads of Man City fans in the house tonight,” he draws panto boos. Frankly, things are looking a little dicey. And then, suddenly, the night goes supersonic: ‘Digsy’s Dinner’ gets roughed-up with a bit of indie sleaze guitar and ‘Married With Children’ is reimagined as a rock’n’roll stomper. The final stretch, from ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ to the cover of The Beatles ’ ‘I Am the Walrus’, can only be described as biblical.

The ultimately super-slick show is smoothed out by a trio of dancing backing vocalists – not something you might have expected to see in Oasis’ heyday – but still barbed, as is proved when Liam asks, “Do we have any people who fucking hate Oasis?” When the response is muted, he presses, “Don’t be shy. It’s all right… This one’s for you cunts,” before barrelling into ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’. He’s on ferocious form throughout; his voice nearly as good as it ever was.

He digs out the security guards who stare down punters (“weirdos”) and hails the teens who recently collected their GCSE results but haven’t let academic excellence go to their heads (“good kids”). There’s not much in the way of sentimentality, but he does gaze into the distance when ‘Half The World Away’ plays out, as if reflecting on the 15-year feud that’s perhaps being put to bed – the outcome fans really long for. It’s worth noting, too, that the final announcement video is soundtracked by The O’Jays’ ‘Give the People What They Want’.

Will tomorrow bring the announcement of next year’s rumoured 10 shows at Wembley and eight at Manchester’s Heaton Park? Tonight’s gig is excellent, but what makes it truly epochal is what it may represent. In revisiting the past, Liam Gallagher has perhaps ushered in a whole new era. It’s very interesting, innit? It’s a very interesting situation we’ve found ourselves in.

Oasis - The Gallagher Feud Timeline

liam gallagher us tour 2024

Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have a long history of ongoing fights - both physical and verbal - here's the full history of the band and what they've said to each other.

1991 -  Liam Gallagher forms Oasis with Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan and Tony McCarroll, later asking Noel to join.

1993  - The band sign to Creation Records and start work on their debut album.

August 1994 -  Oasis shoot to fame with their debut album, Definitely Maybe, with tracks including Rock n Roll Star, Live Forever and Supersonic. It's one of the fastest selling debuts ever for a British band.

September 1994  - Noel temporarily leaves the band's tour after Liam smacks him in the face with a tambourine on stage in Los Angeles.

1995 -  The band release their second album, (What's The Story) Morning Glory? which features Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger, and Champagne Supernova.

1996  - Liam is forced to sit out a leg of tour shows due to laryngitis, but causes chaos when he was filmed heckling his brother from a balcony while a taping of MTV Unplugged.

2000  - Noel quits the band temporarily for a second time when, while partying in Barcelona, Liam riles Noel by questioning if his daughter, Anais, is actually his. The pair get into a fist fight.

2005 -  Noel tells Q Magazine that he's 'never forgiven' Liam for his comments about Anais and he's 'never apologised. He tells the mag: "He's my brother. I hope he's reading this and realises that. He's my brother but he's at arm's length until he apologises for what he's done."

2009  - Noel admits in an interview with Q that he 'doesn't like Liam', branding him "rude, arrogant, intimidating, and lazy". "He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet," he added. "He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”

Liam later retaliates and tells NME: “It takes more than blood to be my brother. He doesn’t like me and I don’t like him.”

August 23, 2009  - Oasis pull out of a headline slot at V Festival in the UK due to Liam having laryngitis.

August 28, 2009 -  Ahead of the Rock en Seine festival, Noel and Liam get into another fight, during which time Liam breaks one of Noel's guitars after "waving it like an axe" according to Noel.

August 28, 2009 -  Noel quits the band for the third and final time, saying in a statement: "It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

2010 -  Oasis win 'best album of the last 30 years' at the Brit Awards for (What's the Story) Morning Glory. Liam picks up the gong, and thanks everyone except Noel. He later says this was misinterpreted as a dig.

2011 -  Liam tries to sue Noel after he claims in the interview they cancelled their V Festival performance due to Liam being hungover. Liam disputed it said the comment "questioned my professionalism". He later apologised and the lawsuit was dropped.

2011  - Noel admits regrets at quitting before the Paris gig, telling Absolute Radio and admits if he did "we may never have split up."

2011 - 2014 -  Liam and the other bandmates continue under new name, Beady Eye, while Noel forms new band, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

2015 -  After years of jabs online, especially through media and Twitter, Liam teases he's buried the hatchet with Noel by sharing an All Areas pass from a High Flying Birds gig. However, the fight would recommence two months later after Noel publicly dismissed suggestion Oasis would reunite for Glastonbury 2016.

2017 -  Liam performs at Manchester's One Love concert after the bombing at Ariana Grande's show, with Don't Look Back In Anger becoming a unifying anthem for the incident. He then slams Noel for not attending. Noel later tells Sunday Times: "Young music fan were slaughtered, and he, twice, takes it somewhere to be about him. He needs to see somebody.”

2018 -  Liam suggests a reunion for the 2018 World Cup on Twitter, writing: “let’s get the big O back together and stop f***ing about the drinks are on me”. When it fell on deaf ears, he added: "I’ll take that as a NO then."

2019 -  Noel speaks out after Liam sends 'threatening messages' to Anais after a comment made about then wife Sara McDonald. Liam later apologises publicly to Anais.

2020 -  Liam urges Noel to reunite for a one-off charity gig.

Liam Gallagher has announced a 2024 UK tour that will see him play Oasis’ 1994 debut album , Definitely Maybe , in its entirety to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

The album, which includes the singles “Supersonic”, “Live Forever” and Cigarettes & Alcohol”, launched the careers of Liam and his brother Noel , and is perhaps the most iconic of the Britpop era.

It has gone eight times platinum in the UK and sold more than 4 million copies worldwide, even being voted the best album of all time by NME readers in 2006.

Gallagher said the prospect of playing “the most important album of the ’90s” on tour has left him “bouncing around the house”.

They added that Gallagher will also perform a number of Oasis B-sides.

“There are numerous fan favourites that could be performed from the other songs that were released during the Definitely Maybe era, which could potentially include another big hit in the shape of ‘Whatever’, as well as deep cuts such as ‘Fade Away’, ‘Listen Up’ and ‘Sad Song’,” they said.

Liam Gallagher breaks cover for first time since Oasis announcement and spat with fans

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher took his beloved dog for a walk ahead of his final two solo gigs this month before he concentrates on comeback tour

Liam Gallagher seen for the first time since the reforming of Oasis.

  • 13:00, 9 Sep 2024
  • Updated 13:07, 9 Sep 2024

Liam Gallagher is "fit and focused" as he was seen for the first time since announcing Oasis' comeback tour with his brother Noel - and exchanging words with fans who were gutted to miss out on tickets.

The iconic frontman, 51, was seen on a walk on a common near his countryside retreat with his beloved rescue dog buttons . He has just returned from a holiday in France with partner Debbie and his mum Peggy and is relaxing ahead of a weekend of shows later this month.

Although it was a family holiday, older brother Noel did not go out with them to France. He and Liam are expected to reunite next month when the Oasis tour plans will continue .

But first, Liam will belt out three songs on September 21 at Wembley stadium ahead of the heavyweight boxing fight between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois .

Then he will fly to Malta where he is headlining a festival with his final set of the year. A source close to Liam said: "He had a great break in France but now is back running and taking Buttons for long walks in the countryside to stay in shape. He is fit and focused as he knows the next 12 months will be huge in terms of his career and his legacy, stamping his place in music history."

In the new photos, singer Liam was shown wearing a trademark long navy smock style coat, similar to an Adidas Spezial one he has worn on stage in the past. He teamed it with Hoka running trainers and a cap from CP Company.

The Oasis comeback has been a huge success for Liam and Noel, making them millions in ticket sales for the gigs which sold out in less than a day. However the sales process via Ticketmaster has been severely criticised for having dynamic pricing and long queues.

The band have tried to help fix things by putting on two extra dates at Wembley and tickets will be sold after a new ballot which has just been launching.

Speaking to fans on X about the situation, Liam sparked controversy after flippantly telling people to 'shut up' amid a raft of complaints. But at the weekend Liam sounded more sincere when he said: "I'm seriously gutted for people who can't get tickets, I can't even go there it hurts my heart. And I know people will think I am taking the p*** but I am not. I want to celebrate the biblical moment with everyone."

He also joked instead of earning millions for the tour he would be paid in the form of his favourite Cadbury chocolate bars. Asked for the reason for the comeback he added: "There's lots of reasons for doing it, family, fans, music, biblical vibrations and Curly Wurlys as that's what I am being paid in, so all those money rumours are not true."

The new pictures of Liam emerged just 24 hours after the prospects of a new Oasis album also appeared to grow.

When a fan asked: “Is it true that Oasis will have a new album???”

Liam replied on X: “Yep it’s already finished."

Whilst insiders close to the Gallaghers told the Mirror there was no imminent new album from Oasis, Noel Gallagher does have new songs which could be used by the band.

Away from the reunion concerts, Noel, 57, has already written a whole batch of stadium rock songs which he demoed at the start of 2024 before heading out on tour with his solo band the High Flying Birds and they are ready for Liam, 51, to add his unique vocals too.

Speaking in January on the Matt Morgan podcast before anyone knew of the reunion, Noel was asked about new music and said: "I’ve got a CD with six (acoustic tracks) on already. There’s a song called God Help Us All which is an old song from 2005, so when I was still in Oasis, but I never recorded it.

"But there is a demo of it when a load of EPs came out. Then there’s one that was bootlegged called Just Let It Come Down Over Me, which is quite country.

"But I’m looking forward to the challenge of seeing it through."

The previous month on the same podcast he had said of new songs and lyrics he had written: "It’s not rock, it’s like pop rock. It’s more like, dare I say it, Oasis-y."

The material sounds like it would be perfect for a new Oasis album, which would also net the brothers even more money.

The line up for the Oasis tour next year also appeared to be close to being finalised. A number of Oasis reports have Gem Archer, Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs playing guitar, Andy Bell on bass and Zak Starkey on drums.

Oasis' Liam Gallagher fronts the Stone Island fall 2024 ad campaign

MILAN — Talk about capturing the zeitgeist. Stone Island has dropped its fall 2024 ad campaign fronted by a starry pack led by Liam Gallagher from Oasis .

The rock band is prepping for a big reunion tour that follows a years-long feud between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, who have now made amends, announcing that they’ll be hitting the road once more in 2025 and bringing the ’90s Britpop heydays back to life.

In subsequent installments of the ad campaign, Stone Island president Carlo Rivetti will appear in images sporting the “President’s Knit” cardigan, first introduced for the fall 1998, followed by design maverick Philippe Starck; artist Alexandre Diop; parkour athlete Davide Garzetti; photographer Liam MacRae; music producer Axl Beats, and graphic designer Yoshirotten.

The campaign is part of the brand’s “Community as a Form of Research” project, which spotlights talents from different fields that are part of its community.

Each portrait in the fall campaign is flanked by a short, written interview with the talents who are posed fireside questions conceived by curator and cultural critic Hans Ulrich Obrist, the artistic director of London’s Serpentine Gallery.

In Gallagher’s portrait, the rock star answers questions as disparate as his breakfast of choice (porridge with some almonds and honey, but only if he’s feeling “really rock ‘n’ roll”), his favorite city, which happens to be his native Manchester, where the campaign was shot, and what he collects, to which he responded, “just souls.”

Asked about the one piece of advice he would give to his younger self, Gallagher said: “Life’s been great. It’s had its ups and downs. But at the end of the day, you are playing it.”

The Oasis reunion has taken fans by surprise and caused a frenzy among those wishing to get tickets for the 17-date leg of the tour in the U.K and Ireland, which includes four shows in Manchester and at London’s Wembley Stadium.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” a press release from the band read. It also teased upcoming date announcements for outside of Europe, though they haven’t yet been confirmed.

Tickets went on sale last Saturday and several users took to social media to express their frustration over the lengthy queues, error messages and expensive prices.

“I told you all we were gonna get back together 1 fine day.” Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher swaggers back on to social media, tells fans they can buy “Kneeling only” tickets for next year's reunion tour for “100 thousand pounds”

Liam Gallagher is feeling "smug" about the Oasis reunion, still doesn't care about the distinction between there, their and they're

Liam Gallagher

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has returned to social media, and it's fair to say that he's untroubled by fan complaints about issues with ticket purchasing and prices .

Gallagher has been uncharacteristically silent on X (which everyone still calls Twitter) since the news of Oasis' reunion was announced on August 27, but he returned to the platform today, September 6, in typically bullish form. “OASIS are back your welcome and I hear there ATTITUDE STINKS good to know something’s never change”, the singer posted this morning, with his usual disdain for  the niceties of spelling and grammar.

When a fan asked how Gallagher was feeling, he responded, “SMUG only kidding SMUG AS FUCK I told you all we were gonna get back together 1 fine day.”

The Competition and Markets Authority, the branch of the UK Government responsible for preventing and reducing anti-competitive activities, is to investigate Ticketmaster over the sale of tickets for the band's summer 2025 stadium tour.

Thousands of fans expressed outrage at Ticketmaster's 'dynamic ticketing' policy, which saw many of those fortunate enough to get to the head of the website queues confronted with ticket prices significantly higher than they had expected to pay. The tour promoters have since acknowledged that the overwhelming interest in the reunion shows left “all ticket platforms struggling to cope, resulting in immense frustration and disappointment for fans who missed out after queuing for many hours.”

When one Liam Gallagher fan posted, “Didn't expect them to rip the fans off as much as they have done. It's genuinely a shame” the singer simply replied, “SHUTUP”

When another poster cheekily enquired if Gallagher might have any spare tickets for the sold-out tour, the newly-restored Oasis frontman replied, with his standard disregard for the distinction between 'their', 'they're' and 'there', “Shit loads but there really expensive 100 thousand pounds Kneeling only.”

Another fan asked how Liam and Noel Gallagher's mother Peggy feels about the brothers burying the hatchet after exchanging insults for the past 15 years, to which the singer offered a tongue-in-cheek reply: “She’s gutted she couldn’t get a ticket”.

In reaction to fans' dismay over the ticketing roll-out, Oasis this week announced two further shows at London's Wembley Stadium , on September 27 and 28. A statement says that “Applications to join the ballot will be opened first to the many fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on sale with Ticketmaster.”

NEWS... BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Noel Gallagher could sell catalogue of songs for £200,000,000 while charging hundreds for tickets

The return of Oasis has fans begging for new music , however, Noel Gallagher appears to be looking back at their previous tracks (not in anger, we hope).

Noel, 57, could be about to sell his back catalogue of tunes for a reported whopping £200million.

That’s all while Oasis Live ’25 could rake him and his newly reconciled brother Liam a nice £400million from ticket sales and revenue.

Tickets have been a huge sore spot for fans , with in-demand pricing and scalpers causing the cost of the reunion to soar.

While those who missed out are eagerly awaiting the results of the extra date ballot , the She’s Electric hitmaker is looking to the future.

‘The way I look at it is I’ll be approaching 60 and it’s like, do I want to leave it to my kids, who’ll probably swap it for a f****** PlayStation game?’ he said according to the Daily Mail .

Oasis' Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher stand together in pub in 2000s. Liam (R) holds cigarette to mouth while Noel looks at camera. Both wear leather jackets.

This comes with the news that Noel is looking to sell the catalogue for his music after the tour ends, including Oasis’ top tracks.

The formerly-feuding duo are set to play gigs across the UK and Ireland, with two more Wembley dates added, before possibly heading around the world.

Noel continued: ‘Or do I get rid of it now and set everybody up for life? Bob Dylan sold his back catalogue. Hedge-fund guys are buying them up.

‘What do you do? Leave it to your kids? They don’t value music.’

Bob Dylan , 83, sold his catalogue of hits to Sony Music for an estimated $150million to $200million (£110million to £150million) in 2022.

The Blowin In The Wind icon, who is still touring, said at the time: ‘Columbia Records and Rob Stringer have been nothing but good to me for many, many years and a whole lot of records. I’m glad that all my recordings can stay where they belong.’

He was signed to Columbia, a subsidiary of Sony, for much of his career and reportedly plans to release new music under this deal too.

Bruce Springsteen, 74, did the same while also under Columbia Records, with the transaction allegedly valued at $550 million (£419million).

‘I am one artist who can truly say that when I signed with Columbia Records in 1972, I came to the right place,’ the 80s icon said in a statement. ‘During the last 50 years, the men and women of Sony Music have treated me with the greatest respect as an artist and as a person.

Oasis perform on stage in 90s. Liam Gallagher is in foreground singing while Noel Gallagher plays guitar behind him.

‘I’m thrilled that my legacy will continue to be cared for by the company and people I know and trust.’

Phil Collins, Whitney Houston, The Killers, Shakira, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Prince’s estate have all reportedly sold some portion of their catalogues.

It’s unclear if Noel would continue performing after selling the rights to his tracks, which would open them up to use in any medium the buyer saw fit.

Usually this usually allows works to be used far more easily by third parties, with families of the artists no longer having to field rights requests — especially after death.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Noel Gallagher’s reps for comment.
