Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Kathmandu.

Arrive in Kathmandu. If you have time this afternoon, you might like to explore the cafes around your hotel - try a local momo, a traditional dumpling.

Finish the trek and drive to Pokhara to catch your flight to Kathmandu.On arrival in Katmandu you will be met and driven to your hotel in the city. You can relax in your hotel or explore some of the nearby markets.

Early morning flight to Lukla in the Everest region. On arrival you will be met and begin your trek to Phakding. A good introductory trek, you will arrive at your traditional tea house lodge in time for dinner.

Day at leisure to acclimatise. It's a good idea to do a little walking in the local area to get accustomed to the altitude.

Today's trek to Thame ia a three to five hour trek that takes you through villages that have trading links with Tibet. You'll be rewarded with spectacular mountain views right across the everest range today.

Trek to Khumjung Sherpa Villages today. You will have the chance to stop and take refreshments in a local tea house along the way.

Today you will trek to the small village of Monjo, this is a four to six hour trek that takes you via Syangboche Everest View Hotel and Namche Village.

Today is a relatively easy day as you trek back to Luckla. You will enjoy your last night in a tea house lodge before flying back to Kathmandu.

Fly back to Kathmandu. The afternoon is free, you might like to visit Bodnath stupa - an important buddhist pilgrimage site and the funeral ghats at Pashupatinath. Both sights offer a unique and interesting taste of the religious diversity of the capital.

Today is free to explore Kathmandu. You might like to take a walk around the ancient Durbar square, with it's atmospheric temples and intricately carved buildings, and a hilltop 'monkey' temple complete with stunning views over the city.

Today drive to the airport for your onwards flight. Your return flight will arrive the same day.

Superb, for once you do actually get what you pay for!

We were recommended Audley Travel by friends who had used them for their honeymoon in South Africa. We went to Thailand and Audley excelled. Our expert Anna was exactly that, great recommendations, wasn’t phased by our requests to tweak our arrangements and the 3 weeks went without a hitch. 99% our our experience was fabulous, and the 1 element we found slightly amiss was out of Audrey’s control. I had always wanted to go to the floating markets of Bangkok but did not agree with the use of drugged slow lorises for the purpose of tourist photographs. This was discussed with Anna on our return and I was assured as a company that focuses on high animal welfare, this option would be addressed. The standard of our transfers, hotels and experiences was superb. Our two highlights were Anantara hotel with both the elephant experiences in The Golden Triangle and The Sarojin hotel in Khao Lak; just exceptional. Will definitely be using Audley for future trips.

Botswana 2024

We have just returned from our third safari trip to Botswana, each organised through Audley Travel, and felt it was time we wrote a review in order to let others know what a fantastic company they are but also to sing the praises of the specialist we used Alex Cooke. Alex’s knowledge of, not only Botswana itself, but its camps and wildlife cannot be faulted and can be totally relied upon. He is keen to hear about your expectations, wants and needs and works to ensure that these are met at every level. From the booking process right up to the day of departure Alex kept in touch with us to ensure that everything was going to plan and such contact was greatly received and was never intrusive. On our return from trips he is always keen to hear about all of our experiences, receive photos etc and it is always a great pleasure to share these with him. South Africa March 2024

Our first experience with Audley travel, from a short conversation on what our travel likes and dislikes are to a full on video call within a week. Classic Costa Rica

We had a great time in Costa Rica based on the Classic Costa Rica tour - communication at home was excellent and usually by phone which made things very personal. My only complaints are that we changed flights in Miami for which we needed an ESTA, which was mentioned in our written itinerary but not mentioned in communications, so we had a last minute panic getting this sorted. Also, our detailed itinerary was given to us by the ground agent in the taxi from the airport to our hotel when we arrived after a 22 hour door-to-door journey, which wasn’t ideal! This could have been done before we left the UK. Also, because we made a few changes/additions to the standard tour, some trips were not necessary. This could also have been addressed beforehand and given us a little more free time. Other than this the organisation, hotels and service were excellent.

A supper service - again

We used Audley for a rearranged 20th wedding anniversary trip. Arrangements were made last year for travel this year (2024). It's not the first time we have used Adley to arrange a significant trip and once again they were incredibly helpful, attentive to our needs, and invaluable in helping us when we had to rearrange our travel dates. Our agent, Sophie, was brilliant at keeping us informed and managing all of our needs. South Africa boutique style

We decided to book a trip to South Africa but didn’t know where to start. After engaging with a specialist Andy Freeman at Audley, the process was so easy and relaxing. A few calls with Andy, great questions to know more about us and what we wanted from the trip and presto we had an itinerary designed just for us. Each of our places we stayed were boutique with amazing service, our movement from Cape Town to Zambia then to Rockfig Game Reserve went without a glitch and Andy even checked in with us during the holiday- if you are thinking of an adventure give Andy a call and I’m sure he can design one of the most amazing life trips you could wish for.

Barcelona - Spring 2024

We had a fantastic family vacation in Barcelona thanks to the attention and care we received from Eric Carnes. Eric was genuinely interested in our family dynamic and was able to assist us with creating unique opportunities for our time together while experiencing Barcelona. We asked for many unique amenities from customized architectural tours to securing sporting event tickets. He was even able to accommodate our big ask of being in the middle of city in a multi-bedroom apartment with all of the perks of staying in a high end hotel. Audley Great in Exotic Locations

We just got back from a trip to India and Bhutan. This is our 2nd trip with Audley and we would definitely use them again. They have excellent partners (both Audley and local partners) and we felt well taken care of. The trip was well organized and Jason did a great job in keeping us in the loop. My only feedback would be it would be great to see a more itemized bill - you just get one lump sum. But in locations that are difficult or out of the ordinary (like Bhutan) I would definitely go with Audley.

This was the trip of a lifetime!

This was the trip of a lifetime! My mum and I decided to go to Greece together-- we are both Classicists and wanted to see some of the best ancient sites. We've never travelled just the two of us and it was partially a celebration of my 30th, so we were wanted to go all out! We went with Audley because of the hassle-free itinerary and amazing reviews. It was truly excellent. Because we were doing a sort of ancient tour, the potential pit-falls of our trip would be travel within Greece. I really didn't fancy driving us around and having the stress of car rental etc. Audley completely resolved that issue with amazing drivers who were amazingly punctual. We had private tours for every site; every guide was so knowledgeable and helpful. We learned so much! Our guides were enthusiastic and patient when we needed to take rests. I wondered if having a guide might be awkward, as I've never done tours like that before, but it was anything but. Everyone was fab. The hotels were outstanding, particularly Ippoliti in Nafplio. They genuinely attended our every need, most of the time without us even needing to ask. Huge shout out to Lyta, our wonderful Audley correspondent, who made everything so straight forward. It made the most amazing trip ever and much of it was thanks to her. Overall, I got the impression that everyone was just super keen to help us make the most of the trip and make sure we were happy/comfortable. It felt like proper luxury! Laura Coughlin at Audley Travel is absolutely the best! If you have a desire to go to South Africa to visit Cape Town, go on Safari or visit Victoria Falls in Zambia she is the expert. To no surprise, every i was dotted and every t crossed. The transfer drivers always arrived on time whether at the airports or from lodge to lodge. A wonderful holiday with Audley Travel

From our first contact with Audley Travel to our return home, every aspect of our holiday was excellent. Our New Zealand specialist, Keshia, took on board all our requirements and put together a wonderful itinerary for us. We felt listened to the whole time, and were provided with plenty of information for our trip. Eg, travel routes, restaurant recommendations and suggested activities. Our flights and hotels were excellent and our booked activities just right. The Audley representatives in New Zealand contacted us within a few days of our arrival, but fortunately we did not need them. We loved every aspect of our four weeks in New Zealand, and did not want to come home! We cannot think of anything that could have been done better. We will definitely use Audley Travel again for our next grand holiday.

Our Japan trip was to be a trip of a lifetime

Our Japan trip was to be a trip of a lifetime. Once we paid our full trip cost we heard nothing though Asha From Audley said we would talk more about details of trip three weeks out. Three weeks came and we get an email Asha had a wedding to go to and then she will be in Korea. Long story short run from this agency. Asha built us an itinerary for a 30 year old we are in our late 60’s and 80’s. It’s sad when a trip of a lifetime is ruined by greed!

Workers 27.4

Workers evaluates a company’s contributions to its employees’ financial security, health & safety, wellness, career development, and engagement & satisfaction. In addition, this section recognizes business models designed to benefit workers, such as companies that are at least 40% owned by non-executive employees and those that have workforce development programs to support individuals with barriers to employment.

Community 17.6

Community evaluates a company’s engagement with and impact on the communities in which it operates, hires from, and sources from. Topics include diversity, equity & inclusion, economic impact, civic engagement, charitable giving, and supply chain management. In addition, this section recognizes business models that are designed to address specific community-oriented problems, such as poverty alleviation through fair trade sourcing or distribution via microenterprises, producer cooperative models, locally focused economic development, and formal charitable giving commitments.

Environment 12.3

Environment evaluates a company’s overall environmental management practices as well as its impact on the air, climate, water, land, and biodiversity. This includes the direct impact of a company’s operations and, when applicable its supply chain and distribution channels. This section also recognizes companies with environmentally innovative production processes and those that sell products or services that have a positive environmental impact. Some examples might include products and services that create renewable energy, reduce consumption or waste, conserve land or wildlife, provide less toxic alternatives to the market, or educate people about environmental problems.

Customers 4.1

Customers evaluates a company’s stewardship of its customers through the quality of its products and services, ethical marketing, data privacy and security, and feedback channels. In addition, this section recognizes products or services that are designed to address a particular social problem for or through its customers, such as health or educational products, arts & media products, serving underserved customers/clients, and services that improve the social impact of other businesses or organizations.

Day 1 : International outbound flight

Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Kathmandu

After an overnight flight, land into Kathmandu and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure.You might like to walk to Durbar Square. Look out for the Living Goddess who lives in an unassuming building nearby. It's believed that if you see her, you'll re-visit Kathmandu.

Day 3 : Kathmandu

Today you will take a trip around Kathmandu with an experienced guide. One of the places you will visit is the sacred cremation grounds at Pashupatinath on the banks of the Ganges. You will also visit Bodnath Stupa today where you will find a little Tibeten community.

Day 4 : Monjo

Early this morning you will be taken to the airport in time to board your morning flight to Lukla, gateway to the Everest region. Once your guide and porter have organised your luggage you will start your trek. The views are stunning, following the river for most of the day today.

Day 5 : Namche Bazaar

Today you leave Monjo and trek up to Namche Bazaar. This is quite a climb, so make sure you are well rested and have had a good breakfast. Once you arrive in Namche you may just want to enjoy the good food and views from one of the many rooftop cafes, but there is also a wonderful viewpoint and a nearby museum that you may want to visit above the town.

Day 6 : Namche Bazaar

Today you have a layover day in Namche. For acclimatisation purposes it is a good idea to do a decent length day walk today around the local area.

Day 7 : Tashinga

Today you will trek from Namche to Tashinga. The trek is mostly on level paths contouring the mountains. For much of the day today you will have wonderful views of Everest, Ama Dablam and their neighbours. You will visit Tangboche on the way where you can visit the monastery and the German Bakery.

Day 8 : Pangboche

Today carry on down the other side of the ridge on a shallowly descending path through a rhododendron forest to Devuche, where there are a few teahouses and a small nunnery in a very peaceful location. From here descend to a high bridge which crosses the Imja Drangka River, and then a 1-2 hour ascent to Pangboche . The lodge in Pangboche is located right along the trail to Everest and almost at the base of the mountain Ama Dablam.

Day 9 : Tashinga

Today trek back to Tashinga. Today is quite a short climb downhill with some time to relax in one of the tea houses along the way.

Day 10 : Monjo

Trek back to Monjo today for a further night in an Everest Summit Lodge right next to the fierce Dudh Koshi River. You might have some time this afternoon to take afternoon tea in the Lodge gardens.

Day 11 : Lukla

Today you will trek to Lukla from Monjo. This is a fairly easy walk back down for your last night in the area before flying back to Kathmandu tomorrow.

Day 12 : Kathmandu

Return to Kathmandu by domestic flight and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to recover from the day's trekking although your hotel is in an ideal location if you wish to explore.

Day 13 : Kathmandu

Today is at your leisure in Kathmandu to relax after your trek. Walk around Durbar Square to soak up the city's atmosphere and try a momo - a local dumpling filled with pork or vegetables.

Day 14 : International return flight

Transfer to the airport in time to catch your onward flights home. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
