Welcome to sarnen, welcome to the heart of switzerland.

Dear friends from all over the world, 

Having been in the tourism industry since 1989 we know what people love and need while they travel. 

Apartments Wirz Travel are situated in a quiet residential area with town view, 10 walking minutes to the centre of the village, 7 walking minutes to the train station Sarnen Nord and supermarkets, 20 minutes by car/train to Lucerne, 4 minutes by car to Lake Sarnen. 

Sarnen is ideally located for various excursions to Lucerne and Interlaken, Pilatus, Rigi, Titlis (glacier), Stanserhorn, Ballenberg, Melchsee Frutt, Brienzer Rothorn (steam train), Lake Lucerne (steam boats) etc. 

Activities: great hiking area, swimming in Lake Sarnen, boat rental, biking, skiing, cross country skiing, large playground on the lake etc. You are invited to borrow two bicycles free of charge (first come first served). Please note that the apartments are self-contained (i.e. no daily cleaning, no room service). Free use of laundry machine and dryer. Bed linen and towels will be provided (1 set per week).

We will be happy to give you recommendations on what to do in our area. Having our Travel Agency on site we can issue tickets for various mountain railways (during office hours).  Sorry, no pets but we love to have children stay with us!

Our Apartments

Our 4 apartments are exceptionally well equipped – from rice cooker to hair dryer, from Nespresso machine to Fondue/Raclette dishes. You will find plenty of free parking around the building including an e-charging station. This is one of the very few properties in the area offering air condition in each apartment (1 device per apartment). Laundry machine/dryer available on site.

Apartment with Terrace PETER

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and everything else you need to cook. Comfortable beds,air conditioning, free WiFi, 2 x 55" flat screen TVs with Netflix, safe etc. Washing machine/dryer on the ground floor. In good weather enjoy a barbecue on the large terrace! Located on the 1st floor (no elevator).

Bedroom: 1 king size bed (2 x 2 m)

Living Room: 1 single bed and 1 sofa bed

Bathroom : 1 shower/1 WC

Apartment with Balcony HEIDI

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and everything else you need to prepare a fine meal. Comfortable beds, air conditioning, free WiFi , 2 x 55" flat screen TVs with Netflix, safe etc. Washing machine/dryer on the ground floor. Small balcony with BBQ facilities. Located on the 2nd floor (no elevator).

Deluxe Apartment HANS

Nothing is missing in the Deluxe Apartment HANS (ground floor): comfortable beds, 2 flat screen TVs, own washing machine/dryer, safe, perfectly equipped kitchen with dishwasher, spacious living room with open kitchen, patio with barbecue facilities.

Comfortable beds, air conditioning, free WiFi, 2 x 55" flat screen TVs with Netflix, safe in each bedroom etc. Washing machine/dryer next door (outside). Working station with computer and printer. In good weather enjoy a barbeque on the patio (BBQ available).

Sarnen, between lucerne and interlaken..., is the perfect starting point for excursions in the surrounding area. even a day trip to berne, zurich, schaffhausen is feasible. we recommend to stay in the area as there is so much to do and to see. following only a small range of possibilities (always check operating hours):.

Booking terms and conditions.

In order to make a booking we need a valid credit with sufficent funds as a guarantee.

In general a booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours pior. If you cancel within 72 hours (or no-show) the cancellation fee is 100%.

Exceptions: 

Carnival/Easter: Booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days. Within 13 days 100% cancellation fee.

Christmas/New Year / July/August: Booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 21 days. Within 20 days 100% cancellation fee.

We will charge your credit card after the free cancellation period has expired (i.e. July/August 20 days prior to arrival). 

If you booked a  non-refundable rate your credit card will be charged immediatly. 

Sorry, no pets allowed.

No smoking inside the apartments.
