Randy Jackson is back to his rock band roots.
On Saturday, Journey guitarist Neal Schon announced the new lineup of band members (following the exit of bassist Ross Valory and drummer Steve Smith), including the former American Idol judge, 63, as the new bassist.
Jackson was temporarily part of the "Any Way You Want It" band back in the 1980s.
"Ok Friends word is out! @randyjackson RJ the Big Dawg is our new Bass player again 💪🏾🕶," Schon, 66, wrote on Instagram, adding in another post , "The King is back 💪🏾🕶 @randyjackson 🔥🔥."
Schon, on Twitter , also referred to Journey as an "ever-changing unstoppable force," stating that the group is entering "a completely new chapter for us and can't wait to get to it!"

In other potential reunion news for Jackson, Simon Cowell said in September that he wants to make another show with his original American Idol cohorts, Jackson and Paula Abdul .
The trio appeared together on The Kelly Clarkson Show to reminisce with the host (who, of course, was the first winner of the competition series back in 2002), when Cowell, 60, shared his wish for a reunion.
"It does make me think," Cowell said at the time. "If I had one wish, it'd be to make another show with us again. That would be my No. 1 wish."
"Let's go, man," Jackson responded.

Jackson spent years as a record producer and an executive with Columbia Records and MCA Records before landing his spot as an American Idol judge.
Randall Matthew Jackson was born on June 23, 1956, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He first started playing bass guitar at the age of 13. The youngest of three children, Jackson used to slip out of his family's home at night to play at local clubs.
'American Idol'
Jackson became one of the judges on the hit talent search series American Idol in 2002, along with Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. Highly regarded within the music industry, Jackson quickly became respected among contestants and fans for his constructive criticism. Sharing his secrets of success, Jackson wrote the 2004 book What's Up Dawg? How to Become a Superstar in the Music Business .
For MTV, Jackson helped develop and produce America's Best Dance Crew , which premiered in February 2008. "It's very much more street than whatever you've seen ... It's really kind of raw and has a lot of great imagery," he explained to People magazine. The following month, Jackson released a compilation album, which featured performances from his American Idol cohort Paula Abdul, as well as musicians Joss Stone, Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi, and Mariah Carey among others. To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on American Idol , I have decided to leave after this season."
Personal Life and Weight Loss
In his personal life, Jackson found out that he had type 2 diabetes in 1999. He changed his diet and exercise routine to combat the illness, and he also underwent gastric-bypass surgery in 2003. These efforts led to a more than 100-pound weight loss. In 2008, he offered readers advice on how to improve their health with Body with Soul: Slash Sugar, Cut Cholesterol and Get a Jump on Your Best Health Ever . He wrote the book, he said, "to share my story, what I went though, and to talk to people about how to prevent diabetes," according to Diabetes Forecast .

Journey bring back bassist Randy Jackson
Journey’s Neal Schon reveals that bassist Randy Jackson is back in the band, with drummer Narada Michael Walden completing the new-look lineup
Journey ’s Neal Schon has confirmed that the band’s former bassist Randy Jackson has returned to the group.
In addition, drummer Narada Michael Walden has been brought into the fold to complete the new-look lineup.
The news comes after Ross Valory and Steve Smith were dismissed from Journey back in March over claims the pair had attempted a ”corporate coup d'état" to gain control of one of the band's business entities, Nightmare Productions, and take control of the Journey name.
Jackson played with Journey between 1985 and 1987, playing on the band’s 1986 album Raised On Radio , while Narada Michael Walden is known for his extensive production work and solo career, and has previously played with artists including Jeff Beck , Carlos Santana and Robert Fripp and the Mahavishnu Orchestra.
Guitarist Schon said on Twitter : “OK, friends, the word is out. Randy Jackson, the Big Dawg, is our new bass player again.”
He then added: “Narada Michael Walden is our new drummer. Multi-talented songwriter/producer, Mahavishnu Orchestra. The J Boyz will have a new strut.”
Replying to comment that Journey were an “ever-changing unstoppable force,” Schon replied: "Couldn’t agree more. This is a completely new chapter for us and can’t wait to get to it.”

Jackson and Walden made their Journey debuts when the band played a lockdown version of Don’t Stop Believin’ for a UNICEF fundraising event on Saturday evening.
In legal papers filed at the Superior Court of Contra Costa County, California, against Valory and Smith in March, Schon and keyboard player Jonathan Cain said they had “lost confidence in both of them and are not willing to perform with them again."
The claim continued, "With their actions, Smith and Valory have destroyed the chemistry, cohesion and rapport necessary for the band to play together. Journey can only tour successfully and succeed creatively if it is united and the band members trust one another. The actions taken by Smith and Valory shattered that trust.”
Last month, Valory countersued Schon and Cain , calling the allegations “baseless,” Schon and Cain’s actions “outrageous” with the pair causing “him to suffer severe emotional distress.”

Flashback: Journey Perform ‘Girl Can’t Help It’ on Final Tour With Steve Perry
By Andy Greene
Andy Greene
After weeks of uncertainty following a bitter separation with drummer Steve Smith and bassist Ross Valory, Journey re-emerged over the weekend as part of UNICEF’s Won’t Stop streaming concert with a lockdown rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’.” They used the occasion to announce the addition of bassist Randy Jackson and drummer Narada Michael Walden to their official lineup.
“Journey is an ever-changing unstoppable force,” guitarist Neal Schon tweeted. “This is a completely new chapter for us and can’t wait to get to it!”
For old-school Journey fans, this might set off a bit of déjà vu, as this is the second time that the band fired Ross Valory and replaced him with Randy Jackson. The first time took place during the Raised on Radio sessions in 1985 when frontman Steve Perry wanted to take the band in a different musical direction. Bass duties on the album were filled by Jackson and Bob Glaub, but it was Jackson who toured with Journey throughout 1986 and 1987. (Here’s video of the band playing “Girl Can’t Help It” on that tour.)
The tour wrapped when Perry decided he wanted to step away from public life, and when they re-formed in 1996, they brought Valory back into the fold. (Jackson, meanwhile, became one of the original judges on American Idol in 2002.) Valory stayed with the group as frontman duties rotated from Perry to Steve Augeri to Jeff Scott Soto to Arnel Pineda, but he was let go in March following a behind-the-scenes power struggle relating to the group’s trademark.
Jackson was an obvious pick to replace Valory since he’s the only other bassist on the planet who’s toured with Journey in the past. Narada Michael Walden may not have that same level of experience with the band, but he has played with everyone from Jeff Beck and Weather Report to Robert Fripp and Carlos Santana. He’s also collaborated with Schon on numerous non-Journey projects over the years.
The band now has a complete lineup once again, but it’s unclear when they’ll be able to play in public. The group had a massive co-headlining summer tour with the Pretenders on the books, but they had to cancel it because of the COVID-19 pandemic. (Their lawyers, however, are being kept quite busy due to the ongoing legal dispute with Smith and Valory.)
This might seem like a lot of drama and intrigue for a single band, but that’s been the normal state of Journey affairs for decades by this point. It’s a band where the alliances shift all the time and members from years past can return with little warning, unless that member happens to be named “Steve Perry.” He’s stayed as far away from all of this as he possibly could over the past two decades and that’s unlikely to ever change.

Journey Announces New Lineup, Randy Jackson's Return After Three Decades
By Andrew Magnotta @AndrewMagnotta
May 26, 2020
Journey revealed a new six-piece lineup in a virtual performance of "Don't Stop Believin'" during Saturday's Unicef benefit concert.
The performance revealed that renowned producer and former Journey bassist Randy Jackson had returned to the band after nearly 35 years. The former American Idol judge was joined by drummer Narada Michael Walden and keyboardist Jason Derlatka .
The three fill out Journey's long-serving trio of Neal Schon , Jonathan Cain and Arnel Pineda a few months after a schism in the band resulted in several lawsuits and the firing of its Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section .
You can watch video of the socially-distanced collaboration in the player below.
Co-founding bassist Ross Valory and longtime drummer Steve Smith were fired from the band and sued in early-March after allegedly attempting to wrest control of the band's trademark from principal members Schon and Cain.
The two sides have traded barbs through their lawyers in the months hence . Journey vowed in a statement to replace Valory and Smith with an equally-talented rhythm section, once the band is able to resume touring.
Journey's planned summer tour with The Pretenders was recently canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Ok, friends, word is out!" Schon wrote via social media over the weekend . "RJ the Big Dawg is our new bass player again."
Jackson was a member of Journey from 1985 to 1987, having joined after the last time Valory and Smith were fired from the band. He played bass and sang background vocals on Journey's 1986 album, Raised on Radio , which went double platinum in the U.S.
Walden have previously been a member of Mahavishnu Orchestra , and has also done stints with Jeff Beck , Robert Fripp and Tommy Bolin .
Derlatka is an Emmy-nominated composer for television who previously worked with Schon and Cain at a benefit show last fall and again with Schon in March for Schon's 'Journey Through Time' project.

Journey guitarist Neal Schon has announced some key line-up changes to the band, including the return of former bassist and American Idol judge Randy Jackson.
On Saturday (May 23), Schon revealed that the band had recruited both Jackson and Grammy-winning drummer Narada Michael Walden. “Ok Friends word is out ! @randyjackson RJ the Big Dawg is our new Bass player again,” he announced on Instagram.
In a separate post, he shared the news of Walden’s addition to the line-up, writing: “Word is out ! @officialnarada Narada Michael Walden is our new Drummer! Multi talented song writer Producer / Mahavishnu orchestra The J Boyz will have a new Strut thank you for your love and help my LadyM.”

The vacancies required filling after Journey spectacularly sacked their drummer and bassist over an alleged “corporate coup d’état” earlier this year .
Steve Smith and bassist Ross Valory were accused of trying to take over the corporate entity Nightmare Productions, Inc. in an attempt to take control of the Journey name.

The band’s remaining principal members, Schon and keyboardist Jon Cain, filed a lawsuit on March 3 against the former drummer and bassist.
Jackson originally played bass with Journey in the ’80s, performing on the band’s 1986 album ‘Raised on Radio’.
Since then he has become known for his appearances as the longest-serving judge on American Idol and executive producer for MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Jackson has previously won a Grammy Award for his work as a producer.
The new Journey lineup made its debut during a socially distanced performance of ‘Don’t Stop Believin” for UNICEF’s Won’t Stop fundraiser .

Former ‘American Idol’ Judge Randy Jackson Returns to Journey
Reading Time: 2 minutes
YO, Dawg! Randy Jackson is back in business! The former American Idol judge will return as a bassist for the iconic rock band, Journey. Guitarist Neal Schon made the announcement after parting ways with founding bassist Ross Valory, and longtime drummer Steve Smith. It was alleged that the two had attempted to take control of the band’s trademark. Jackson performed with the band in the late 1980s, now coming full circle on his new journey (no pun intended).
Back in the day, Jackson temporarily replaced Valory, and played on the 1986 Raised On Radio album. He joined the band on the subsequent tour amid packed arenas and stadiums. The album produced three Top 20 singles in the United States, “Girl Can’t Help It,” “I’ll Be Alright Without You,” and “Suzanne.” It also managed to muster up a top ten single “Be Good To Yourself.” The song went to number four on the Billboard 200 chart and went certified double platinum in the USA.
Back and Better than Ever
Today the band is back and better than ever! Guitarist Neal Schon took to Instagram to announce Jackson’s second run with the Hall of Fame inductees.
“Ok Friends word is out! Randy Jackson RJ the Big Dawg is our new Bass player again” he shared.
Alongside Jackson is new drummer, Narada Michael Walden. He is a former Mahavishnu Orchestra member who has also played with top guitarists like Jeff Beck, Allan Holdsworth, and Robert Fripp.
Journey Drops a New Single
The band sure didn’t waste any time getting to work. A couple of weeks ago, Journey dropped “The Way We Used To Be” available for streaming on all platforms. They also released a corresponding music video to the track on YouTube , and I have to say, it’s very clever.

The former Idol Judge is definitely doing his thing now with Journey. It’s amazing to see Jackson get back out there and start performing again. They’ve already started off hot with this single, so I cannot wait to see what comes next from the rock icons. I surely won’t “stop believin'” that in 2021, Journey is bringing the heat!

Neal Schon of Journey photo by Ros O'Gorman
Randy Jackson Rejoins Journey
by Music-News.com on May 25, 2020
Journey frontman Neal Schon has welcomed former bassist Randy Jackson back into the band as part of the rockers’ “new chapter”.
Schon shared the news with fans on social media on Saturday, shortly before the new-look group made its debut on the UNICEF Won’t Stop virtual fundraiser, which also featured appearances by Cher, Pink, Salma Hayek, and Millie Bobby Brown.
“Ok Friends word is out! @randyjackson RJ the Big Dawg is our new Bass player again (sic),” the guitarist posted, before revealing he and longtime bandmate Jonathan Cain had also recruited drummer Narada Michael Walden and keyboardist/vocalist Jason Derlatka to join their ranks.
“JOURNEY is an ever-changing unstoppable force…,” Schon added. “This is a completely new chapter for us and (we) can’t wait to get to it!”
Former American Idol judge Jackson previously played with the band in the 1980s.
The stars, alongside singer Arnel Pineda, staged a remote performance of their mega-hit Don’t Stop Believin’ for the UNICEF event, and after the online get-together, Schon returned to Instagram to reveal they will be working on new material together.
“We were so happy to be involved with @unicef with all the amazing artists, for such a great cause…,” he posted.
“welcome to our Journey family @randyjackson @officialnarada and @jason_derlatka… Believe Friends New Music Coming (sic)”.
The group’s most recent album of original songs was 2011 release Eclipse – the last to feature ousted members Ross Valory and Steve Smith, who had played in Journey on and off since the band’s formation in 1973.
Schon and Cain fired the pair in March and filed suit, accusing them of attempting to take over the group to gain control of the Journey trademark.
Valory has refuted the “outrageous” claims and has since lodged a countersuit.

JOURNEY Announces New Album, 'Freedom'
Legendary rockers JOURNEY have set "Freedom" as the title of their long-awaited new album, to be released later in the year.
Founding JOURNEY guitarist Neal Schon shared the news of the LP's title and track listing in an Instagram post earlier today (Wednesday, February 16). He wrote in an accompanying caption: "Teaser … it's coming and it's loaded @journeymusicofficial @nealschon @bmg_us @frontiersmusicsrl".
"Freedom" track listing, according to Schon :
01. Together We Run (4:49) 02. Don't Give Up On Us (5:23) 03. Still Believe In Love 04. You Got The Best Of Me (5:33) 05. Live To Love Again (5:30) 06. The Way We Used To Be (3:35) 07. JOURNEY recently completed a month-long Las Vegas residency at The Theater at Virgin Hotels. Filling in on bass for JOURNEY for the six shows was Todd Jensen , a veteran musician who has played for various artists, including the bands SEQUEL , HARDLINE and HARLOW , as well as David Lee Roth , Ozzy Osbourne , Steve Perry , Alice Cooper and Paul Rodgers . Also part of JOURNEY 's current lineup is returning drummer Deen Castronovo , who shared the drum duties in the band last year with Narada Michael Walden . Walden , bassist Randy Jackson and keyboardist/backing singer Jason Derlatka all joined JOURNEY in 2020 following the band's acrimonious split with drummer Steve Smith and bassist Ross Valory . Jackson — who previously played with JOURNEY during the mid-1980s — was forced to miss all the recent gigs because he is reportedly recovering from back surgery. Prior to the residency, Jackson had been replaced at JOURNEY 's 2021 shows by Marco Mendoza , who had played several shows in 2019 with Castronovo and JOURNEY guitarist Neal Schon under the "Neal Schon's Journey Through Time" banner.
In June 2021, JOURNEY shared a new single, "The Way We Used To Be" . The song was the multi-platinum band's first new music since 2011's album "Eclipse" , and the first track released by the band's revamped lineup. "The Way We Used To Be" marks Walden and Derlatka 's first studio recordings with the band, and Jackson 's first since 1986's "Raised On Radio" . The song was produced by Narada Michael Walden at his Tarpan Studios , with co-production by Schon and Cain .
Since the group's formation in 1973, JOURNEY has earned 19 top 40 singles, 25 gold and platinum albums, and has sold nearly 100 million albums globally. Their "Greatest Hits" album is certified 15 times-platinum, making JOURNEY one of the few bands to ever have been diamond-certified, and their song "Don't Stop Believin'" has been streamed over one billion times alone.
JOURNEY was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017, and 2018's co-headlining tour with DEF LEPPARD was the band's most successful tour to date, landing them in the Top 10 year-end touring chart with more than 1 million tickets sold, and earning them the prestigious Billboard "Legends Of Live" touring award. March 2019 saw the release of "Escape & Frontiers Live In Japan" , a live DVD/CD set from their concert at the Budokan in Tokyo featuring the band's first-ever performances of the albums "Escape" and "Frontiers" in their entirety. JOURNEY has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and were inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall Of Fame . Additionally, the band is the subject of the award-winning documentary "Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey" about the band's resurgence upon adding Arnel Pineda as lead singer after founding member Neal Schon discovered the Philippines native on YouTube .
JOURNEY will team up with TOTO for a North American tour in February, March, April and May.
Last August, Schon gave a college radio simulcast interview to WMSC and WNUW where he discussed the progress of the songwriting and recording sessions for the band's upcoming studio album. He said: "I learned how to play keyboards better than ever during the pandemic, which I'd never really done before. And that's where our first single [ 'The Way We Used To Be' ] came from. [I sent it to] Jonathan [ Cain , keyboards], and he did the lyrics on it and put a rough vocal on it. And then we had Arnel sing it, and we cut it and re-cut it in the studio, and it was just released. And a lot of people went, 'Wow, man. I love it.' 90 percent of people love it; the other 10 percent went, 'I don't think it sounds like JOURNEY .' I go, 'I never wrote it to be a JOURNEY song.'"
According to Schon , he and his bandmates had written over 30 new songs for the upcoming JOURNEY record. "Some of 'em are unmistakably JOURNEY without sounding like another song that we have; it just sounds like a new version of the band," he said. "It's ballistic, man. And there's no lack of guitar on this record. So I'm excited about it getting out there. I think any guitar player out there is gonna love this record, because I'm just kind of unleashing on this record — like I do a lot live, but sometimes hold back in the studio. I don't think it's O.D.ing on the guitar at all and going overboard, but I like to check out the times and where I see music going. I usually have a pretty good gut instinct about it, and I feel like the late '60s, the time and era of early Jeff Beck with Rod Stewart and [ LED ] ZEPPELIN when they first came out, Jimi Hendrix , the CREAM with [ Eric ] Clapton and Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker , that whole era, there's a lot of younger kids out there, younger generation, that never got to experience that era. So I'm feeling like that is the era that I grew up in and that's what I truly love doing and the type of music I love playing, so I'm going more there and I'm writing for that, to be able to do that on stage. And I think it's really gonna trip some people out, when we finally do get this album out there and can combine it with all the hits that we do have."
He continued: "There's certain songs that are being mixed by Bob Clearmountain , that mixed our 'Raised On Radio' record, and he's made it sound really amazing, really pulled it together. You have mixers out there sometimes that have this incredible ability to take work that you've done throughout a year, even though they were recorded at separate times, and different sounds here and there, and they pull it all together and they make it sound like it's a tight album that has a focus sound-wise."

Following an alleged “coup attempt” which ended in the firing of bassist Ross Valory and drummer Steve Smith from Journey , the band have announced its new rhythm section to include American Idol judge Randy Jackson on bass and Narada Michael Walden on drums.

Journey’s new line-up made its live stream debut on 24 May, as part of UNICEF’s Won’t Stop fundraiser concert. The band performed Don’t Stop Believin’ from separate remote locations. Take a look below.
On 3 March, a lawsuit was filed by lawyers of Schon and keyboardist Cain, alleging that Valory and Smith had attempted to seize the Journey trademark via “a coup to assume control of one of the band’s corporate entities, Nightmare Productions, Inc.”
The lawsuit claimed that Valory and Smith operated under the false impression that the Journey trademark belonged to Nightmare Productions, Inc – and by owning the entity, they would be able to “hold the trademark hostage in order to force Cain, Schon and Nightmare Productions to provide them with wind-fall payments for their retirement.”
A cross complaint has since been filed by Valory, rebutting the allegations that he and Smith had tried to improperly seize control of the trademark.

Journey ’s making some lineup changes. On Saturday night, Neal Schon revealed that the band recruited Grammy-winning drummer Narada Michael Walden and reunited with bassist Randy Jackson .
“Ok Friends word is out ! @randyjackson RJ the Big Dawg is our new Bass player again” Schon announced on Instagram .

Multi talented song writer Producer / Mahavishnu orchestra The J Boyz will have a new Strut thank you for your love and help my LadyM,” he wrote.
Jackson served as Journey’s bassist in the mid-80s, and played on the band’s 1986 album Raised on Radio . The new lineup made its debut during a socially distanced performance of “Don’t Stop Believin'” for UNICEF’s Won’t Stop fundraiser.

Randy Jackson’s Weight Loss Journey: How He Lost Over 100 Pounds
Randy Jackson is famous for being a judge on the TV show American Idol, but over the past few years he has also gained recognition for his remarkable weight loss. Randy has shed more than 100 pounds and completely transformed himself physically and mentally. His commitment to wellness has been an inspiration to many people, proving that anything is possible if you work hard enough.
Randy’s choice for change
For many decades Randy had been struggling with obesity and self-esteem issues related to it. He realized that he needed to do something not just about his physical health but also about his mental well-being. After countless unsuccessful attempts at losing weight through fad diets or other short-term solutions followed by regaining even more pounds than before; after feeling lethargic, miserable and literally trapped inside his own skin all this while – finally came when he said ‘Enough!’ With newly found motivation burning within him like never before Randy set out on a mission – transforming not only his body but life too.
Sustainable lifestyle changes were key if Randy wanted to succeed in losing weight permanently which he knew very well thus opted working closely with nutritionists as well as trainers who helped come up with programs tailored just for him basing on their consultations. For instance; healthy eating plans centered around whole foods packed with nutrients were adopted while shunning away from processed junk plus sugar among others then adopting regular workouts involving different forms of exercises such as cardio together with strength training happened too.
It was tough sometimes especially during those weak moments where one feels like giving up because they seem so far off track already however keeping eyes fixed firmly upon objectives no matter how hard they may appear at times remained crucial throughout this entire process henceforth reminding oneself why these sacrifices were being made in first place proved invaluable too; besides receiving tremendous encouragement from family members including close friends acted as another source which kept him moving forward without looking back till everything paid off handsomely whereby noticeable results started becoming evident through rapid loss of pounds coupled by soaring energy levels.
The beginning of transformation
As the journey towards losing excess fats continued, something else started happening within Randy’s mind too – mental shifts as well were being experienced alongside physical ones. He ceased regarding foodstuff either suchlike he used to find comfort or relief while stressed out but rather started viewing them merely as fuel required for keeping body functioning properly; not only did nutritious meals become more appreciated by his system but also their positive impacts upon health became vividly clear at last. Besides that exercise turned into something enjoyable and empowering for him since it made him feel powerful besides strengthening his muscles at large.
Randy’s weight reduction voyage did not solely affect his physique; it also had an impact on other aspects such as emotional and psychological states too. That is when he learnt how to be kinder to himself so that even celebrating small achievements could do wonders in uplifting one’s spirits no matter what may come next along way while still aiming higher always. He adapted positive thinking which helped him see any setback not as failure but rather part of progress hence this story of self-transformation serves as an important reminder that real change starts from inside oneself before anything else can happen externally including numbers found on scales.
Additionally, throughout every stage involved during trying losing weight rapidly like sharing your results with fans or friends through social media platforms played a huge role when it came down motivating others who might have been facing similar problems elsewhere thus giving them hope for a better tomorrow altogether.
Randy’s Ongoing Accomplishments and Future Objectives
In this present day, Randy Jackson is more than just a judge on American Idol; he also represents hope for those wishing to turn their lives around. He has maintained his weight loss and still keeps his health as his top priority. This shows that it is never too late to start over again in life provided one is ready to make the necessary sacrifices.
Looking into the future, Randy has established fresh targets for himself within both personal and professional spheres of life. He intends to keep journeying towards better health while at the same time motivating others along their paths too. What we learn from him is that nothing is impossible with an optimistic mindset coupled with unwavering commitment towards one’s well-being – this man epitomizes hard work; determination; self-love.
The weight loss story of one man called Randy proves that being strong in times of adversity and hating oneself can lead to success. The world should know that there are no limits if someone wants something badly enough – all they have got to do is work hard until it becomes theirs permanently like Mr.Jackson did when he transformed himself completely.

One of the cornerstones of Randy Jackson’s personalized nutrition plan was the careful consideration of his specific nutritional requirements. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, he worked closely with nutrition experts to design a plan that addressed his unique needs and preferences. This approach ensured that his body received the essential nutrients it required while supporting his weight loss goals.
The personalized nutrition plan also placed a strong emphasis on portion control and mindful eating. Randy learned to pay close attention to the quantity and quality of the food he consumed. This awareness helped him manage calorie intake effectively while still enjoying satisfying meals.
Furthermore, the plan incorporated a variety of foods that Randy enjoyed, ensuring that his diet remained enjoyable and sustainable. It included a balance of lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, creating a well-rounded and nutritionally rich menu.
Another critical aspect of Randy Jackson’s nutrition strategy was the inclusion of foods that boosted metabolism and supported fat loss. These foods, often referred to as “superfoods,” played a significant role in his daily meals. They provided essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants while aiding in weight loss.
Incorporating a personalized nutrition plan was not just about temporary changes but about adopting a new and sustainable approach to eating. Randy understood that his journey was a long-term commitment, and his dietary choices needed to reflect that.

These activities were not only effective for weight loss but also contributed to improved cardiovascular health.

One of the critical aspects of Randy’s success was his focus on maintaining good mental health . He understood that the journey towards significant weight loss could be challenging both physically and mentally. To tackle this, he incorporated practices such as meditation and mindfulness into his daily routine.
Meditation allowed Randy to find moments of calm and clarity amid the hustle and bustle of life. It helped him manage stress, reduce anxiety, and maintain a positive outlook. This mental wellness practice not only contributed to his overall well-being but also helped him stay on track with his weight loss goals.
Staying motivated was another vital component of Randy Jackson’s journey. He recognized that motivation could fluctuate, especially during challenging phases of weight loss. To combat this, he employed various strategies to keep his enthusiasm high.
One effective technique was setting clear and achievable goals . Randy established specific milestones along his journey, allowing him to celebrate his progress and maintain a sense of achievement. These goals served as motivation boosters, especially during times when results were not immediately apparent.
Additionally, Randy surrounded himself with a supportive network of friends and professionals who encouraged him and held him accountable. This support system was instrumental in keeping him motivated and providing a sense of community on his weight loss path.
Visual reminders were also a part of Randy’s motivation strategy. He created a vision board filled with images and quotes that represented his fitness goals. This board served as a constant visual motivator, reminding him of why he embarked on his journey in the first place.

Moreover, Randy incorporated stress management techniques into his lifestyle. High-stress levels can often lead to unhealthy eating patterns, emotional eating, and weight gain. Randy’s approach to managing stress included meditation, deep breathing exercises, and seeking relaxation activities that helped him stay balanced.
Randy’s dedication to sustainable habits meant that he wasn’t looking for quick fixes or temporary results. He aimed for a lifestyle that would support his long-term health and fitness goals. This approach allowed him to maintain his weight loss achievements and avoid the cycle of yo-yo dieting.
Secret #5: Expert Guidance and Support System
Randy Jackson weight loss journey in 2024 was further empowered by the invaluable support and guidance he received from experts in the field of nutrition, fitness, and wellness. This fifth key strategy underscores the importance of seeking professional help and building a strong support system.
One of the critical elements of Randy’s successful transformation was his collaboration with nutrition experts . “It’s been a long journey and a labor of love. I can’t wait to hear everyone’s reaction – I think you will all be amazed”: MXR's Randy Rhoads Distortion+ pedal finally gets a release date
MXR’s boffins opened up Rhoads' legendary chip pan pedalboard for the first time in 40 years to create the new stompbox, and after several delays, it will be out very soon indeed
An August 20 release date has been set for the eagerly awaited release of the new Randy Rhoads signature MXR Distortion+ pedal.
The pedal, created after Rhoads' legendary “chip pan” pedalboard was opened for the first time in 40 years and dissected by the MXR boffins, has faced a series of delays since it was announced in December '22 .
It was in January this year, after an initial 2023 launch date was slated, that we got a further update. Kathy Rhoads D’Argenzio, Randy’s sister, had asked fans to “hang on tight”, with the pedal delayed until late spring, which has since come and gone.
At long last, then, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
“I am so excited about this project from Dunlop,” Kathy says in a fresh Instagram post. “It was a ‘hands-on’ project for me as I was able to personally help [the] design. It’s been a long journey and a labor of love. I can’t wait to hear everyone’s reaction. I think you will all be amazed.”
She added that there will be “some surprises as well”, with a pedal that former Machine head guitarist and Rhoads devotee Phil Demmel also had a hand in crafting.
In terms of new information beyond the release date, there isn’t anything to get too excited about – save the tease of surprises – but having that alone feels triumphant.

How long the project has been in the works by this point is hard to say, with Kathy saying she'd been collaborating with MXR "for quite some time" back in 2022. But if the MXR tone gurus have been able to carefully prise the secrets out of Rhoads' mystical pedalboard and recreate it for a production pedal, it will be worth the wait.

The Ozzy Osbourne guitarist is known for his signature Jackson V and love of Marshall amps , but his chip pan ’board is arguably just as notorious.
An MXR Distortion+ sat at the heart of the chip pan’s signal chain and was a key player in sculpting his hugely influential guitar tone .
The ’board was stored in a flight case and featured, at the very least, eight switches and nine control knobs, but what exactly they all operated has forever been a mystery.
Four decades after the guitarist’s passing, MXR was granted a peek behind the tonal iron curtain to aid the genesis of the new pedal.
Rhoads D’Argenzio says the pedalboard was returned to a "secured location," after its scrupulous inspection, rather than its former Musonia home.
Musonia, the North Hollywood, California music school, and Randy Rhoads museum founded by the guitarist's mother, Delores, was broken into in 2019. Several of Rhoads' instruments, plus photos and memorabilia were stolen , prompting the pedalboard’s new, hush-hush location.
Thankfully, all the missing items were eventually retrieved and returned to Rhoads' family.
Stay tuned for more updates about the long-awaited MXR Distortion+ over the next few weeks.

While it was a 12-year journey, he was involved for less than half of that time. That said, Roth approached the adaptation from a pretty straightforward principle. "As I told Ari and Randy Pitchford and everyone at the beginning, my job is to make an adaptation of the game—not a recreation of the game," said Roth.
