Usher, real name Usher Raymond IV, is an American R&B singer-songwriter born in Dallas, Texas. Usher is one of the best selling artists of all time, having sold over 65 million records worldwide.

At the age of 13, Usher was spotted at a talent contest and Signed to LaFace records, where he released his debut album, “Usher” in 1994. Despite many of the tracks being produced by Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs, the album failed to make much of an impact on the American public.

Three years later, Usher released his second studio album “My Way” and secured his first number one hit in the UK with “You Make Me Wanna…”. Usher rose to fame in the US after the release of his breakthrough single “Nice & Slow”. Which ended up being certified six-times platinum in the US.

Usher’s following two albums “8701” and “Confessions” surpassed the success of “My Way” with multiple number one singles in the US including “U Remind Me”, “U Got it Bad”, “Yeah!”, “Burn”, Confessions Part II” and “My Boo”. The albums won him five of his eight Grammy Awards, and the 1.1 million initial sales of “Confessions” upon its release were the highest recorded for a male R&B artist.

With these successes and an enormous fan base under his belt, Usher had no problems getting his subsequent three albums, “Here I Stand”, “Raymond Vs. Raymond” and “Looking 4 Myself” to the number one spot in the US charts. Usher has toured extensively across the globe to promote his music and bring it live to his fans.

A huge Michael Jackson fan, Usher cites the King of Pop as his biggest influence, and was given the opportunity to perform at the legend’s funeral service in 2009. Taking after his hero, Usher’s style is distinct yet fresh, meaning that he is easily able to collaborate with other artists, and he does so frequently. Usher has worked with Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Pitbull, will.i.am and Lil Wayne amongst others.

A keen businessman and philanthropist in addition to his musical career, Usher is clearly a man who likes to work hard and give his all. His constant success is hard earned and long may it continue.

Live reviews

I remember seeing Usher in concert for the first time back in 2002. He was hot back then and he still is today. Although his main gig lately has been being a judge on The Voice, don't let that make you think he still doesn't have it. Take it from me, Usher's live performances are just as amazing as they were years ago. His good-looking body, charm, and talent pulls you in and you'll be hypnotized for the whole concert.

When he sings off of his old albums such as "Confessions" or "You Remind Me", you can't help but sing along. It's like time-travelling back to my college days, watching his videos on MTV or buying his CD's (wow, remember CD players?!). He really gives his performances his all, and it's quite obvious because before the first half of the concert is over, he is already sweating. When he dances like Michael Jackson, you see how talented he really is, he's not jut an incredible voice.

His stage setup isn't super distracting either. The most he has is huge video displays, stares, fire, and smoke. Although it's obvious everyone loves his old songs, when he starts with his latest ones such as "Moving Mountains", the crowd melts. At moments like that, it's as if he's singing to you personally; I'd bet there isn't a girl at that concert who's not wishing he was theirs! He has a magical way of bringing you on a rollercoaster ride, singing break-up songs and then switching to songs where you can't help but dance – it's so much fun. Usher's live concerts are just simply awesome.

Usher's show was by far the best show that I've ever seen. It was so good that I literally lost my voice from screaming too much. Everything was perfect from his performance to the the lighting! He sang all of his greatest hits in which Nice N Slow is my favorite! I knew that he was going to put on a good show but it was far more better than I could have ever imagined!!!! It was my very first time seeing him in concert and it won't be the last. He definitely did not disappoint and my favorite part of the show was the finale when he took his shirt off. I just totally lost it and am paying the price for it today because now I lost my voice!!!! Lol!!!! But it's all good because I love Usher and I will go see him anytime!!!! ???

Usher can dance his butt off! This was my first time seeing him perform live although it wasn't a full concert, Usher only performed one song but it was more of a teaser for what is to come. He just announced a tour and when he comes to NY I will be there. I can already tell it will be an electrifying show! Can't wait to hear all my favs...

This Phenomenal Man puts on thee Best performance. When you see him live even if you weren't a fan you become a fan by the opening of the concert. He gives 1000 percent to the fans when he performes whether it's in state or international. I will Always support this Euphoric Artist, Always worth my time and money.

AMAZING!!! This is probably the best concert I've been to. Usher is the king, great job! Couldn't stop dancing. Lights and all the effects were awesome! Sound was a bit to loud sometimes though, but doesn't matter because the whole concert was on point. Thanks to one of the best musicians and great person!

This is a show that I will forever remember!! The talent, the skill, the moves on that man!! I could go on about his voice. There is nothing comparable to hearing his voice live. It sent chills! This song kick app helped me reserve coveted floor seats with its notifications. One for the books.

definitely worth the money. the vibe was great and the night was one to remember. I've never seen such extravagant productions from the lighting, live band and amazing vocals. Let's not forget his moves. I'm already geared up to see him again, its a must x

The entire lineup for the show was great. I was kinda disappointed in Usher however. He did more dancing than singing. He had a good set list though. After waiting for over 30 minutes for his appearance though it was just not as good as it could have been.

He was born in Chattanooga Tennessee I went to school with him damn how money changes where u come from guess h3 doesn't remember singing to me at his last day in Chattanooga and he promised to come back hehehehe still one of my favorite singers

Usher has added dates for a 2022 Las Vegas concert residency.

The newly announced shows are set in September and October at the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM. This brings Usher's total number of performances under the bright lights of Las Vegas to 25. His only other scheduled performance is at the Something In The Water festival in Washington, DC. Last year, the pop / R&B star did a 12-show Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

When do Usher 2022 Las Vegas tour tickets go on sale and what is the presale code?

The general public on-sale begins May 26. Presales are currently underway for Citi cardholders, fan club members, Live Nation, LN Mobile App, Ticketmaster, and local venues / radio. Tickets for the previously announced shows are now on sale. Keep in mind, each date is different and details are subject to change.

For the Citi presale, you can use the promo passcode 412800 , but you will need the card to complete your purchase. The Live Nation presale password is FINALE , and the LN Mobile App code is COVERT . Usher Announces 2022 Las Vegas Residency

Usher is heading back to Las Vegas for another residency. This time, the legendary R&B singer will headline shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM .

There will be a total of 23 performances, collectively known as Usher: The Vegas Experience , from July through October.

According to a press release, “the immersive new show will incorporate audience interaction and staging throughout the 5,200-seat entertainment venue, where every guest will have an up close and personal experience with the superstar.”

Fan pre-sale tickets will be available Friday, Feb. 18 at noon PST. Tickets will go on sale to the public Friday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. PST. Tickets can be purchased on ticketmaster.com .

Usher’s new residency will follow his sold-out residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2021.

“I’m so excited to be returning to Vegas with a BRAND NEW residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM this July through October,” Usher shared on Instagram.

In music news, Usher reunited with Mary J. Blige on her new album,  Good Morning Gorgeous.  He appears on the final track “Need Love.”

Last November, he contributed vocals to Snoop Dogg’s song “New Oldie,” which also features Eric Bellinger.

In summer 2021, Usher joined forces with longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for their debut album,  Jam & Lewis, Vol. 1.  Rated R&B premiered the official lyric video for their song “Do It Yourself.”  

He also linked up with Justin Bieber for his “Peaches (Remix)” along with Ludacris and Snoop Dogg.

On May 21, Usher will headline the  Lovers & Friends Festival in Las Vegas. TLC and Lauryn Hill are also headliners.

Usher sells out all 2022 las vegas residency dates.

Tickets for shows from March through July 2023 are on sale now

After wrapping up another successful run of Usher: My Way The Vegas Residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM this past weekend, global megastar and eight-time GRAMMY Award-winner Usher has announced since opening on July 15th, all of his 2022 shows, including the eight upcoming performances scheduled for October 14th through 29th, have sold out.

Limited tickets remain for Usher’s 25 recently announced new show dates in 2023 for March 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, and 18; April 14, 15, 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, and 29; June 28; and July 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15.

Tickets can be purchased online via Ticketmaster .

General ticket prices begin at $79, plus applicable tax and fees, and a limited number of VIP meet & greet packages also are available for each show. All shows are scheduled to begin at 9 pm.

The R&B superstar will release My Way 25th Anniversary Edition  on September 16th featuring the original album, newly reimagined versions of three tracks from the album, a mini-documentary and more.

My Way 25th Anniversary Edition features the original album in its entirety, bundled with three freshly reimagined tracks, plus instrumentals of said tracks, all produced by producer/drummer extraordinaire, Ryan James Carr.

In Usher's case, what happened in Las Vegas isn't staying in Las Vegas.

The R&B superstar followed up his mostly well-received performance for the Super Bowl halftime show by adding more tour dates to his 2024 itinerary, including two gigs Nov. 2 and 3 at Target Center in Minneapolis. Tickets for the first of those shows (a Saturday night affair) go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster , with presale options beginning Tuesday.

Prior to the Super Bowl gig, the "U Got It Bad" and "Yeah" hitmaker spent most of 2022 and 2023 off the road and instead settled into Las Vegas for a 100-show residency at the Park MGM. He's billing his return to the road as the Past Present Future Tour and will have a new album to promote, "Coming Home" (issued last week).

No opening acts have been announced yet for the tour, which begins Aug. 20 in Washington, D.C. Most cities on the itinerary turned into two-night or even three-night stands once tickets went on sale.

The Nov. 2 date at Target Center was the only one included in Monday's announcement, but the Nov. 3 show is already listed on the Ticketmaster website, with presale options beginning Friday. He's slated to play three nights in Chicago (Oct. 28, 29 and 31) before coming to Target Center.

Usher announces final 12 dates of 'Usher: My Way' residency at Park MGM

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — R&B singer-songwriter Usher has announced the final 12 dates of his "Usher: My Way" residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM on Thursday.

The show, which opened in July 2022 and explores hits from Usher's 20-year career, has sold out all shows to date, according to event organizers.

Pre-sale tickets for the final shows will be available starting on Friday, Aug. 18 at 12 p.m. until Thursday, Aug. 24 at 10 p.m. Fans can also text (404) 737-1821 to "join Usher’s community" and get access to the pre-sale, according to a press release.

Tickets for these final shows will go on sale to the public Friday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. PT. General ticket prices begin at $80.09, plus applicable tax and fees, and a limited number of VIP meet & greet packages also are available for each show.

Additionally, Usher, Live Nation Las Vegas, and MGM Resorts have announced plans to donate $1 from every ticket purchased to Usher's New Look, the artist's non-profit dedicated to "transforming the lives of underserved youth."

The 12 performances going on sale include:

• November 2023: 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 22, 24, 25, 29
• December 2023: 1, 2

Additionally, limited tickets remain for Usher’s previously announced show dates:

• October 2023: 11, 13, 14, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 28

Usher tour 2024 announced : The popular singer R&B Usher will perform at the Park MGM’s Dolby Live Theater as part of his upcoming residency in Las Vegas later this year. As a bonus, the eight-time winner of the Grammy Awards could introduce you to songs you have not yet heard at one of its 23 concerts, which will take place from July 15 to October 29.

The "R'n'B king", Usher Raymond, burst onto the music scene in 1994 and was the first artist to have a single number one on the UK Singles Chart and Billboard Hot 100 in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010. Challenging himself creatively and testing musical boundaries are characteristics that have defined Usher’s career since he was discovered 20 years ago as part of Star Search. Since then, he has sold more than 43 million albums worldwide. Billboard has named him the second most popular artist of the 2000s. His album Confessions, released in 2004, sold ten million copies and was ranked the best solo album of the decade.

Prior to the residency, Usher will lead the huge Lovers and Friends festival in Las Vegas on May 14 and 15. Just days before performing in the 2024 NFL Super Bowl halftime show, Usher has announced a nationwide concert tour that will kickoff this August, with one stop in Boston, Massachusetts.

The multi-platinum, eight-time Grammy Award-winning global entertainment icon is scheduled to perform at TD Garden on Tuesday, Aug. 27, the third stop of his 24-city coast-to-coast tour that will also include two stops in Toronto, Canada.

Usher revealed this past weekend that Usher: My Way The Vegas Residency , which concluded another blockbuster run at Dolby Live at Park MGM, has sold out every one of its eight forthcoming performances from October 14 through 29. Aerosmith has finally announced the rescheduled dates of their ‘Peace Out’ farewell tour with special guests The Black Crowes and Teddy Swims on select dates.

The 40-concert jaunt will take the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers to arenas all over North America from September 2024 up until February 2025.

Notable shows include stops at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on Saturday, Dec. 28 and New York’s Madison Square Garden on Feb. 23, 2025.

Their last gig is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2025 at Buffalo’s KeyBank Center .

This upcoming trek will be the second attempt at rescheduling the tour; Steven Tyler sustained vocal cord damage at a Sept. 9, 2023 concert in Long Island — just three shows into their run — and the band had to postpone indefinitely.

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows,” Aerosmith shared on Instagram .

If you haven’t gotten tickets yet and want to sing along to “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way,” “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” and so many more hits one last time, tickets can be scooped up for all ‘Peace Out’ concerts as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 12, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

The original Aerosmtih lineup won’t be fully intact on this run of concerts.

Yes, lead singer Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton and rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford are slated to perform at all shows.

However, drummer Joey Kramer will be sitting this run of shows out to “focus his attention on his family and health” according to  AP News .

Kramer, 72, will be replaced by John Douglas who has drummed with the band since 2019.

On all dates except their opener when they’ll perform with Teddy Swims, Aerosmith will be joined by  The Black Crowes aka Rolling Stone’s “best new band of 1990.”

The band, known for mega hits “Hard To Handle” and “She Talks To Angels,” is also conducting a solo tour of their own this year including a show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on April 27.

Steven Tyler controversy

In 1973, the 25-year-old Tyler was given guardianship of 16-year-old Julia Holcomb so the two could live together.

After a tumultuous three-year relationship, the two broke up.

Nearly 50 years later, Holcomb — who now goes by Julia Misley — filed a lawsuit in December 2022. In the suit, she claimed Tyler sexually assaulted her, forced her to abort their child, and convinced her to drink and take drugs after he promised to serve as her guardian.

In the trial, Tyler alleged the relationship was consensual and had immunity because of his guardian status.

Legal experts have since said “caregiver immunity” does not exist if you sexually abuse the person you’ve taken in.

“The lawsuit came in the final days of California’s Child Victims Act, which temporarily lifted the statute of limitations for survivors of childhood sexual abuse to come forward with their allegations,” Consequence of Sound reported.

Jeanne Bellino, another minor that was sexually abused by Tyler in the 1970s, also filed a lawsuit against him; US District Judge Lewis Kaplan threw the case out this February because she “had waited too long to sue Tyler under a New York City law protecting victims of gender-motivated violence,” Reuters wrote.

“(Kaplan) said Bellino did not qualify for a two-year window to pursue claims that would otherwise extend beyond statutes of limitations, because she did not allege that Tyler’s conduct posed a “serious risk of physical injury.”

“The success of tour began several years ago when Usher launched his residency in Vegas, which re-established his greatness,” Fogel says. “Now he is building off that success with his current tour and the presales prove there is unprecedented demand to see him perform live.”

Ever since Usher was announced as the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show headliner, his touring team — manager Ron Lafitte , agent and WME partner John Marx and Live Nation promoters Colin Lewis and Fogel — have been building an arena touring strategy that fully capitalizes on the big game’s huge audience. Last year’s win by the Kansas City Chiefs over the Philadelphia Eagles in Glendale, Ariz., was watched by more than 115 million viewers in the U.S., making it not only the most watched Super Bowl in history, but also the most popular TV program of all time in America.

Usher wasn’t going to let the momentum go to waste, though. Days after his Super Bowl Halftime performance was locked in, Marx began plotting out an arena tour. His charge from Usher was to try and replicate the intimacy of his Las Vegas residency shows, first in 2021 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and then at the 2022-2023 My Way Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM.

“He wanted to play more multi-night runs in bigger cities,” Marx told Billboard , noting that Usher enjoyed the excitement multi-night engagements generated.

In total, Usher is playing 44 shows in 17 markets (locations for three of dates have not yet been announced). The Past Present Future tour will officially launch in Washington, D.C. (Aug. 20) and includes a four-night stop at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center (Sept. 6-10), four nights at the yet-to-be-opened Inuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. (Sept. 17-24), three nights in Miami at the Kaseya Center (Oct. 11-14), three nights at State Farm Arena in Atlanta (Oct. 17-20), and three nights at the United Center in Chicago (Oct 28-31).

“Sales are beyond anyone’s wildest dreams right now,” Marx says, noting that even more U.S. dates could be added and that a U.K. and European tour will be announced in the future. “Quite honestly, we’re just getting started,” he adds. “Everything I’ve seen and heard has made it clear to me that people everywhere really want to be at these shows.”

Adam Wainwright to play a concert to usher in eclipse

S T. LOUIS — Cardinal Adam Wainwright will kick off Monday’s eclipse festivities with a concert near Cape Girardeau, situated directly in the path of totality. Wainwright, accompanied by his band and other performers, will take the stage at the Rock’n’Roll Drive-In.

The event is an all day event, with Wainwright’s performance aligning with the eclipse. Tomorrow marks the release of his first album.

Chuck Stratton, the owner of the drive-in, reports an influx of inquiries and ticket sales from across the nation. Gates will open at 9 a.m., and tickets remain available.
