Also the rate the advisor said was excellent, but here is much better. Absolute liers! Will make an official complaint on my return.

Always check exchange rate on line before buying in store

Be careful when exchanging money in store. I checked on line with them and when I went to store they offered a much lower rate. I bought this to the persons attention and they quickly changed the rates. What happened to the old days when various exchange rates were displayed in store.

Your 136 195 help centre in the Philppines is unhelpful if not useless. We were eventually referred back to theShopping Mall (Eastgardens, sydney) but it was a weekend when wevisited and he couldn't solve our problem. My link to register or re-register/edit the card has expired! My wife and I had CashPassport for over 10 years and changed to you guys which we now regret!

Rubbish service, absolute rubbish.

In the USA was unable to top up as POLi was down on their site. Did a BPay, but balance was days late appearing in my account. Still waiting for my last transfer. Then was unable to transfer between currencies in my own account. Couldn't speak to anyone as all stores closed, and the chatbot was useless. So have been left to pull a rabbit out of the hat to find money overseas as the Travel Money Oz website is garbage, and the service is non existent.

I still dont understand though ziah

I still dont understand though ziah, currency fee and commision fee was free because i booked through flight center and got "VIP no fee" australian dollar is always slightly higher than new zealand dollar but we still lost out? Still Dosent add up..

Totally useless in Hawaii

Totally useless in Hawaii. Card failed every time. I had to arrange for emergency withdrawal from Western Union which was another stressful experience. Two of us traveling and both experienced issues with this card. Never again will I use this card.

Definitely do not use these people. I transferred 1,000 pounds to my account on April 1 and its still not there. I'm stuck in London with no money and they are doing nothing. I've been calling them every day and keep getting fobbed off. I've given them the receipts, confirmations and account number and still they cant do it. Do not use them.

The Customer Comes First…

I phoned around for USD rates and when I called Vanessa at Travel Money Oz Modbury, she was quick to offer a rate match versus the Fx traders in the city. When I arrived, all the notes were ready in the denominations I was wanting (smaller notes) which no one else was prepared to do. Travelex a few shops up were the most expensive and not even prepared to improve their rates. Vanessa also skillfully upsold me to a currency pass card, but she spent time showing me how to get the best out of it and minimise transaction costs. I always wanted one, but prior to this, I didn't think the value was there, but now I do and I am very happy I went to Vanessa as she is very customer focussed and spends time understanding your individual needs. In addition to Vanessa's service, when I got home and read up on the card, I had a few queries which I logged via the Travel Money Oz website and Eddy responded within 5 minutes and also provided me with all the clarity and solutions I was looking to understand. All in all, an excellent experience at a time when most companies have thrown the customer service manual out of the window. Thankyou Team TravelMoneyOz!!!!!

Card doesn't work in Princess

We are on a 69 days trip. On the first two cruises and while staying in New York, this card worked perfectly. However it has been a different experience while cruising on Princess, the card has not consistently worked. In a way it has spoiled this part of the trip. I had used this card several times on previous trips and never encountered a problem like now. On top of everything, when the card doesn't work, there is no immediate assistance, a message needs to be left and someone contacts you a day or two after. The phone call did not solve the problem. The website needs updating, as to reload the card the options offered on their website are not available. Such as using a debit card or the Poly system. Unfortunately the only one i can use is through BPay, after 3 days. the money is still unavailable.

Do not use their card!

The guys at the plaza are fantastic when dealing with cash transactions. However, I have been beyond appalled with the customer service over the phone using their card. They asked me to hold and ended up just hanging up on me four times. I was eventually told a supervisor would call me back and they never did. When I called back, after wasting two days of my time, they told me they couldn't resolve my issue and would "take my feedback on board." They never actually did anything to help me. Use their cash system, do not ever, ever use their travel card. More trouble than what it's worth

Beware, try the competitors first

Not happy at all with a recent transaction with Travel Oz Money Received a lot of unwelcome advice ,I have travelled before Exchange rate on XPF was particularly poor could only get 100K at 53.69 to AU Went next door to Travelex and got another 100K at 61.25 to AU Granted XPF is not a common currency so beware I recommend shopping around as OZ does not offer ta reasonable rate

Unfair- greedy company

Companies charge me interest when Im loaned thousands of dollars, what gives them the right to charge additional fees to do a currency exchange from there slow application. You can invest the thousdands I put in your accout. Voucher codes with your money? What saving on what you've saved? Ridiculous. Cards unreliable aswell.

Don't use them!!!! Horrendous company!

My account was suspended after 1 day of having the card. They refused to unlock the account without sending them a picture of my passport, bank statement, and a selfie with the government issued ID to an email address. Anyone that knows anything about cyber security should know PII over email is extremely insecure. Horrendous customer service where they speak minimal English and talk over you because any form of logic is non-existent. Disgusting company and service! AFCA is going to have a field day with this one.

Customer service is very poor

Customer service is very poor. I have travel money card with Euro balance of $114 which will be expiring very soon on the 12/23 and I have tried to call customer service 1300426 997, 136195 several times and I am unable to get any assistance also I am not able to recovery online access as I have lost my email when I was registered. please kindly Give me your feedback through text message

helpful staff, not so useful card

While sales staff at Gold Coast were kind and helpful, the card worked inconsistently while I was overseas. It was declined by several services despite the balance being high. The app also stopped working after a few transactions so I could not even check the balance or recharge. The telephone never answered when I tried to contact. I returned to Australia with unspent funds and the card was declined at big stores. Not worth the trouble.

Great and easy to use

Travel Oz rate gap between branch and online rate

On Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 9.49 am, I exchanged 1497.50 Australian Dollar for 1480 New Zealand Dollar at the rate of 0.9883 (that is 1 AUD = 0.9883 NZD). I did this transaction at Travel Money Oz Galleria (Elizabeth St., VIC). I have the receipt with the Deal Ref: 702100-068300. When I checked the online rate provided by Travel Oz, I found that the rate for February 8, 2024 is 1.0299 (that is 1 AUD = 1.0299, thus 1497.5 AUD = 1542.28 NZD). How is it possible that a branch can set a rate that is so much different than the online announced rate at the Travel OZ website? This is unacceptable. I also wrote to the Customer Assistance about my concern with this transaction (as it is impossible to reach someone via phone) and I was told to receive a response in 2 business days. I will not let this one go. If they do not resolve this issue immediately (within the said timeframe), I will also write to press as well as consumer affairs.

Be very wary of this company.I tried for 2 hours to get my money transferred to my bank account, when this failed I tried another approach and got stung with 2.9% service charge!!! Be very careful I will never use Travel Money Oz again, didn’t get any help when I went into there Erina store either.Disappointed & Disgusted.

I believe the best option is to transfer your foreign currency to AUD (no fees) and simply use the card for day to day payments. Worst experience, untrustworthy

Our experience had been so poor I would have given no star. Our card is blocked and all the money we decided to use on our trip is jow locked away. Multiple calls to customer service without any resolution. They continue to say the card is accepted where they accept Mastercard bit in reality it is being declined everywhere. Stranded in US without any money. Going to report this to ombudsman, unacceptable service.

A really convenient way to pay by card…

A really convenient way to pay by card when you're overseas. I loaded the card with o/s currency at my local TO booth and kept track of spending online and I'll switch the remaining money to another o/s currency when I next travel.
