Heralded as the UK’s answer to Blink-182, Busted became one of the most iconic pop-rock bands of the noughties. Their debut self-titled album released in 2002 featured some of their biggest hits “Year 3000”, “You Said No” and their debut single “What I Go To School For”. Going onto win several accolades including Favourite Newcomer at the National Music Awards and a few BRIT awards saw Busted reach new heights as they released their follow-up album “A Present For Everyone” which went triple platinum in the UK. Their successes continued growing with every single released reaching the top 3 in the UK charts accumulating a number of eight- seriously impressive! With their teenage appeal and emulating a rebellious nature, it’s no wonder that they attracted thousands of adoring fans to their live performances. Opening with classics like “Air Hostess” sees the trio of Matt Willis, Charlie Simpson and James Bourne air jumping as they run across the stage, surrounded by a chorus of screams. Their energy is infectious as the crowd jump up and down, waving their arms in the air to “What I Go To School For” singing along word for word. Their tongue-in-cheek lyrics feed into their banter with the crowd, mirrored by some of the banners that audience wave emphatically. “Year 3000” sends the crowd wild, as the bright lights dart across the stage. “Crashed The Wedding” sees energy levels soar through the roof while ballads like “Sleeping With The Light On” slowing down them temple equally sees the biggest reaction, as the audience sway their arms in the air with the camera lights in the air. If you came to be entertained, Busted will definitely make sure you have a good time.

let me tELL YOU SONGKICK:

okay so when busted announced they were getting back together i was SO happy, the band that made my childhood and the very same band of who no one, including the band themselves, thought would ever get back together and not gonna lie, I'd liked fightstar and Charlie's solo stuff but they were all different and I liked them all in their own way but busted would always have a special part in my heart as my first loves. Anyway, we bought our tickets etc etc and the day finally came, we went and had a meal over at centertainment when

Amazing performance. Lots of energy and love from Charlie, Matt and James. The new tracks they played from the currently unreleased new album were out of this world! I loved every second of it, I was part of the Pigsty Which was ablsolutly isane to see all those people in the crowd and have a different perspective of a gig was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Charlie looks especially happy to be back he was extremely happy and energetic throughout. The lads gave great vocals and played well all night. Very much enjoyed it. Cant wait to see them next time!

After Busted split up I was devastated and when u heard they were having a reunion tour I just knew I had to go! After gettin to see McBusted which had James and Matt this was even better! Play all of the classic songs and I never sat down once. Support acts were great and was an amazing atmosphere. Such funny, talented and down to earth lads. Music sounds even better live. All busted fans must see them!

I've been waiting to see them live for the best part of 18 years and the day before my 21st I finally got to see them.

Best show of my life and I've been to well over 150 gigs in the past 2 years.

Professor Green didn't suit the lineup at all and didn't gain much of a crowd.

Scouting For Girls however were a perfect opening act. Massive crowd with everyone singing along. Brilliant.

Amazing concert, nice to hear the old and new song. Duration was a little short. The band played with the audience to entertain us. Stage was fine, lights were good. I missed the opportunity to shake hands and ask for autographs of the band (there were no VIP tickets)

Event Details

Busted have announced that they will be celebrating their 20 th anniversary with an arena tour which is heading to The O2 on 10, 27 September and 10 October 2023. The band will be joined by special guests Hanson and The Tyne.

Impossible though it may seem, it’s been twenty years since Busted bounced into the charts with the irrepressible pop-punk energy of their debut single ‘What I Go To School For’ . It kickstarted a succession of hits for the trio, including the #1 smashes ‘Crashed The Wedding’, ‘Who’s David’ , ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’, ‘You Said No’ and the Top 3 singles ‘Year 3000’ , ‘Air Hostess’ and ‘Sleeping WIth The Light On’. Now Busted celebrate their 20th anniversary by announcing details of a major UK arena tour, alongside a series of new versions of fifteen of their classic hits to be released in the build-up, with some very special guests

The tour will see the original much-loved trio - James Bourne, Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis - play their hits and fan-favourites this September. The first track to launch the 20 th anniversary celebrations will be a new version of Busted’s song ‘Loser Kid’ featuring Simple Plan, which will be released on 14 April. Loser Kid featured as the final track on their self-titled debut album and was co-written by Bourne, Simpson and Willis.

Busted’s many successes spread far beyond the singles charts. Three of their four studio albums also peaked at #2, with 4.5 million sales leading to eight Platinum certifications as well as a total of 25 weeks in the Top 10 and two 5x Platinum selling albums. They have won two BRIT Awards - Best Pop Act and Best British Breakthrough - while multiple sold-out arena tours have seen them sell more than 2 million tickets.

Busted’s 20th anniversary tour follows Charlie Simpson’s recent triumph as the winner of 2023’s ’The Masked Singer’, adding to his other projects which have included four solo albums and four albums with the rock band Fightstar. James Bourne is a renowned songwriter, with credits including McFly, The Jonas Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer and The Vamps, as well as his band Son of Dork and two recent solo albums ‘Safe Journey Home’ (2020) and ‘Sugar Beach’ (2022). After releasing his debut solo album, Matt Willis famously won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ leading to a successful television career as well as acting roles which have included the recent West End hit ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’.

Busted tour tickets 2023: Dates, venues, pre-sale details and the ticket prices for UK reunion tour

Tickets for the busted tour go on sale at a variety of prices from late march.

Noughties pop-punk boyband Busted has announced a UK-wide reunion tour, set to take place later this year, 18 years after they confirmed their split in an emotional press conference.

In the five years they were together between 2000 and 2005, the three-man band – Charlie Simpson , James Bourne and Matt Willis, all now 39 – had four UK number-one singles, won two Brit awards and sold more than 5 million records.

They made waves in the early 2000s with several iconic bangers including “Year 3000”, “Crashed the Wedding” and “Air Hostess”.

The band reformed for a brief stint in 2013, fusing with childhood friends and fellow pop boyband McFly to form spin-off band McBusted, releasing an album and performing a few comeback tours and one-off gigs.

In the tour announcement video, band member James Bourne said: “We were writing songs that made us laugh, and the songs that made us laugh made other people laugh and feel good.”

Here’s everything you need to know if you want to watch Busted perform live, including ticket price, sale information and a full list of tours and venues.

Busted confirm 20-year reunion is happening - and it looks huge

Busted confirm 20-year reunion is happening - and it looks huge

Busted have confirmed a reunion tour is happening this year to mark 20 years since the band formed.

Fans have been waiting for the announcement from Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis, and James Bourne, after they dropped a series of teasers on Instagram earlier this week.

Not only that, but new music will be on the way soon, with a brand new version of 'Loser Kid' already set for release in April.

"I think Busted really broke the mould when we started," front man Charlie Simpson admits.

I Went to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour — Here’s How Much I Spent (And Why It Was Worth It)

I f you’re a Swiftie, you know all too well that musician Taylor Swift has spent nearly two years on her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Since the tour’s first stop in Glendale, Arizona on March 17, 2023, Swift has performed more than 100 shows in over 150 stadiums across five continents. Her three-hour plus setlist has expanded to include songs from her most recent album “The Tortured Poets Department.” Fans have danced so hard to her music that cities like Los Angeles, Seattle and Edinburgh all experienced seismic activity as a result. The concert received the silver screen treatment with the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” movie, cited by Billboard as the highest-grossing concert film of all time.

The Eras Tour has also had an unprecedented Midas touch on the local economy of every city Swift performs in, domestic and international alike. In September 2023, the U.S. Travel Association shared data on the economic impact of Eras some five months and 20 cities into the U.S. leg of the tour. Concertgoing Swifties averaged $1,300 spent on travel, hotel stays, food, merch and apparel.

How close does this average spending data match the reality for Eras concertgoers and their budgets ? To find out, GOBankingRates spoke to a Swiftie who attended the Eras Tour. Here’s how much she spent seeing Taylor Swift.

‘My total was $1,439: more than I have ever spent to see [Swift] in the past.’

Krista Becker has attended every Taylor Swift tour. She told GOBankingRates she previously paid anywhere from $50 to $200 for concert tickets. As for travel expenses, she didn’t have to think about extensively covering these costs, since the venues she saw Swift at were always close to home.

This all changed with the Eras Tour. Becker, who said she wasn’t able to see Swift in North America in 2023 due to her own travel schedule, attended night three of Swift’s Amsterdam show this year.

Becker was gracious enough to share with GOBankingRates a breakdown of the $1,439 total she spent on travel, tickets and more as an Eras attendee.

Explore More: What the Upper Middle Class Makes in Different US Cities

After waiting for five hours in an online queue that started at 4 a.m. EST on Ticketmaster, Becker was able to purchase the Floor VIP (All Too Well Package) for $514.

Flight, Lodging and Transit

The total roundtrip cost for Becker’s flights was $1,300. However, she told GOBankingRates she paid $700 and put existing points towards paying for the remaining $600.

For lodging accommodations, Becker’s stay was free — she was able to stay with a family member who resided in Amsterdam.

Transit costs to and from the stadium amounted to $7.50, but Becker said the cost was “free for me,” because she was able to use a family member’s monthly metro pass.

Eras Tour Outfit and Merchandise

Becker was able to keep her full ensemble for the show under $100.

“I custom made a blazer by hand embroidering it and bedazzling it,” she said. “I wore a two-piece under it that I got used online for $20 and wore sneakers I owned. My earplugs were $17.”

During the show, Becker spent $125 on merchandise, which included a t-shirt and sweatshirt.

Why the Cost Was Worth It

Savvy readers will notice Becker’s total amount spent on the Eras Tour is just $139 more than the average amount the typical Swiftie tour attendee spends. While Becker said she would not be able to afford to spend the same amount of money like this twice in one year, she would still have done it again in a heartbeat.

And because Becker was unable to see Swift in North America, she said it was worth it to spend the money to see Swift in Europe. Becker’s stay with family allowed her to turn this trip into a vacation. Before the show, Becker was able to travel around a bit. On the night of the Eras Tour, she went with her cousin, who lives locally, and a close friend who flew in from Oregon.

During her 100th show in Liverpool, Swift announced the Eras Tour would conclude in December 2024 . Fans like Becker who were able to attend aren’t entirely likely to look back on the Eras Tour with regret over the receipts from the event. Their memories, if we had to bet on it, are more likely to be bejeweled in nature, recalling the experience of singing along to Swift’s lyrics with thousands of fans and enjoying the once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Becker noted she has attended every single Swift tour. She said she could not have missed out on the Eras Tour.
