Saving my life.

I like many people have been dealing with mental illness. Clinically depressed. Most people who have comedic values. I’ve noticed go through a lot of mental illness and we hide it through laughter. I would make people laugh and go home crying. Joe Rogan and his crew make me feel better about me. Tyson Fury’s interview was very powerful & Uncle Coco. They both inspire me as well as Joe. These podcast bros like Rogan, Huberman, Alex jones: like roided out conspiracy theorists dumbing down the males of this country who support Trump. Just read the recent article about Huberman or watch the Alex Jones documentary on HBO. This has got to stop.

Neil Young returns to Spotify after 2-year hiatus following Joe Rogan controversy

Neil Young is returning to Spotify two years after he removed his music due to Joe Rogan's podcast on the streaming platform "spreading fake information."

In a letter posted to Young's website on Tuesday , he said he decided to return to Spotify because "music services Apple and Amazon started serving the same disinformation podcast" that he opposed during his initial strike.

"I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did Spotify, because my music would have very little streaming outlet to music lovers at all, so I have returned to Spotify," he continued.

Taking a swipe at what he calls Spotify's low-resolution audio, Young added: "I have returned to Spotify, in sincere hopes that Spotify sound quality will improve and people will be able to hear and feel all the music as we made it."

In September, Billboard  estimated  Young would have lost $300,000 after he pulled his music from the streamer.

As of Wednesday morning, his full catalogue has not been restored on Spotify. USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Young and Spotify.

In January 2022, Young condemned Spotify for having "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast on the service in a letter, since removed from online: "Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines – potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them."

"I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform," Young said. "They can have (Joe) Rogan or Young. Not both."

Graham Nash, who has recorded and performed with Young in Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (along with David Crosby and Stephen Stills), echoed his one-time bandmate in a statement released Tuesday. 

"Having heard the Covid disinformation spread by Joe Rogan on Spotify, I completely agree with and support my friend, Neil Young and I am requesting that my solo recordings be removed from the service," he said in a statement.

Rogan's podcast library was acquired by Spotify in 2020 in a deal reportedly worth more than $100 million, according to  The Wall Street Journal .

The podcast host, who tested positive for COVID-19 in September 2022, has been  critical of safety measures against the virus  on his platform and had downplayed the need for mass vaccines for large events like comedy shows.

Following Young's protest, Spotify chief executive Daniel Ek disclosed that  the music streaming service would add content advisories  before podcasts discussing the virus. 

"Personally, there are plenty of individuals and views on Spotify that I disagree with strongly," Ek wrote. "It is important to me that we don’t take on the position of being content censor while also making sure that there are rules in place and consequences for those who violate them."

Several artists including including Joni Mitchell and India.Arie followed Young's suit and removed their catalog's from Spotify. India.Arie has since restored her content.

Conor McGregor’s latest comment about the UFC labeled ‘crazy talk’ by Joe Rogan

Conor McGregor’s recent comments about ‘UFC vs acting’ should be taken with a pinch of salt, given when and where he claimed that the performing arts trumps MMA.

We’re still waiting for official confirmation from the UFC on exactly when and where Conor McGregor will be returning to MMA; although Michael Chandler did recently reveal that the details of the contest and event have already been shared with him behind closed doors .

McGregor made a rather strange claim about MMA

During the promotional tour for the Road House remake, which is now available to stream on Prime Video, the Irishman repeatedly found himself speaking to non-MMA outlets about his next fight in the UFC.

Whether it be because of the exhausting nature of promotional tours, or simply a way to grab a quick headline with a new audience, McGregor made some rather strange comments about the organization and the sport itself – including that acting was harder than fighting.

Joe Rogan rejects Conor McGregor’s comments as purely business

During the promotional tour for his new Road House movie, McGregor made headlines when he compared fighting in MMA’s top promotion to the experience he’s had with his full acting debut.

Speaking at the premiere event to JOE , the Irishman went as far as to claim that acting is harder than the UFC, citing the time away from training, responsibility to learn lines and set timing – “It’s just a difficult game, a lot more difficult than I gave it credit for.”

Unsurprisingly, many within the MMA community disregarded these comments as nothing more than business, given that McGregor was speaking at a promotional event for the Road House remake, including veteran UFC commentator Joe Rogan .

On episode #2122 of the JRE Podcast , Rogan fired back at those fans believing that McGregor was serious in arguing that acting was harder than fighting:

“Listen to me well, that’s not true. That’s not true even for him, okay – act in Road House or fight Khabib again, shut the f*** up. That’s crazy talk.”

“He broke his f***** leg in a fight, he broke his leg – that’s harder,” said Rogan, adding “That’s way harder than f***** acting.

“The guy’s promoting a movie and he’s a great promoter, he’s the best promoter in the history of the sport and no one even comes close. There’s Conor McGregor and then there’s everybody else.”

Dana White was willing to ‘resign’ over Joe Rogan controversy

Aside from his reaction to McGregor’s comments, Rogan also finds himself in the news after it was revealed that Dana White was willing to resign from the UFC instead of letting him go after the comedian found himself in hot water with Spotify in 2022:

“Anybody who is with me, who has been with me, knows that when you’re with me; you’re with me – it’s not a two-way street…This mother***** will burn before I do that to my people, none of that type of stuff is ever going to happen when I’m here…Joe Rogan has been very loyal to me, and I am very loyal to Joe Rogan.”

“The impact that Joe Rogan has had and continues to have on this sport is immeasurable,” said White.
