Tour Itinerary :

Day 01 Arrival in Delhi Upon your arrival at Delhi International Airport, our representative will be waiting for you at the arrival lounge, holding a placard with your name for easy identification. After a warm welcome, you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 02 Delhi City Tour Start your day leisurely, and after breakfast around 9:00 AM, begin your city tour of Delhi with a knowledgeable English-speaking guide and an exclusive car. You can also request a guide in your preferred language. In the first half of the day, visit Raj Ghat, Shanti Vana, drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. In the afternoon, explore Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Lakshminarayan Temple, and drive past President’s House, Parliament House, and Government Secretariat Buildings & Connaught Place. Later, indulge in some shopping at Delhi’s bustling markets. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Note : Some monuments are closed on Mondays, such as Red Fort, Akshardham Temple, and Lotus Temple, but there are still plenty of places to visit.

Day 03: Delhi to Jaipur (By Car) Visit to Jaipur’s Local Market After a leisurely morning and breakfast, drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, explore the local markets of Jaipur, known for their vibrant atmosphere and wide array of products. Enjoy shopping and soak in the essence of Jaipur’s culture. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Jaipur Jaipur City Tour and Elephant ride at Amer Fort Begin your day with an early breakfast and a visit to Amber Fort. Start early to experience the elephant ride, as it ends at 11:00 AM. Explore the magnificent Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) and ascend the fort on an elephant back. In the afternoon, continue the tour of Jaipur, visiting Maharaja’s City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, and Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive through Jaipur’s pink rose residential and business areas. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 05 Jaipur to Ranthambore (By Car) Jeep Safari Enjoy a leisurely morning and breakfast before driving to Ranthambore National Park. Upon arrival, check-in at the wildlife resort. After lunch, embark on an exciting jeep safari to explore the national park and its wildlife. Return to the resort for an evening of Rajasthani folk music and dance. Dinner and overnight stay at the wildlife resort.

Day 06 Ranthambore National Park Jeep Safari Start your day with a self-service tea or coffee in your room before heading out for a morning jeep safari. After the safari, return to the resort for breakfast and free time to relax or enjoy resort activities. In the afternoon, embark on another jeep safari to explore the wildlife of Ranthambore National Park. Enjoy an evening of Rajasthani folk music and dance at the resort. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 07 Ranthambore to Agra (By Car) Visit to Agra’s Local Market & Fatehpur Sikri After breakfast, drive to Agra. En route, stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its historical monuments. Continue your journey to Agra and check-in at the hotel. In the evening, explore the local markets of Agra and indulge in some shopping. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 08 Agra to Delhi – Departure (By Car) Visit to Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Witness the beauty of the Taj Mahal at sunrise, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. After breakfast, visit the magnificent Agra Fort. Later, drive back to Delhi and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.

Note : The Taj Mahal remains closed to visitors on Fridays.

Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport you will be greeted by our representative & transferred to your pre – booked hotel. Relax & rejuvenate yourself at hotel.

Establish your morning with a guided tour of Old Delhi. Starting with Raj Ghat, where India’s son Mahatma Gandhi cremated. Visit the largest mosque in India known as Jama Masjid. 

Take a rickshaw ride in narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, old bazaar of Delhi. From here we ahead to drive by Red Fort, built by emperor Shah Jahan in 17 th  century & labeled by UNESCO as world heritage site.

Later tour to New Delhi; planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb built in 16 th  century & renowned as World Heritage Site. Our next attraction will be Qutub Minar; the tallest minaret of world & a perfect example of Indo-Islamic  architecture & listed in UNESCO’s world heritage site.

Also visit the India Gate & President House, the official residence of President of India. 

Further in time drive to Agra, the home of Taj. Upon arrival check in at hotel & stay overnight.

At sunrise visit the Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays) one of the seven wonders of the world. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan is a perfect example of most extravagant love.

After breakfast check out from hotel & opt for sightseeing of Agra Fort, the majestic fort of red sandstone stands on the banks of river Yamuna.

By the time drive to Ranthambhore stopping at Abhaneri step well. Ranthambhore, not only a national park it’s a ideal home for tigers & variant type of species, a superior example of Tiger Reserve in India. Upon arrival check in at hotel & stay overnight.

Take an early morning 3-4 hour game drive in canters or jeeps to view the Great Indian Tiger. Come back to hotel & after freshen up start for evening jungle safari in National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Moring after sumptuous breakfast leave for Jaipur famous as Pink City. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon at leisure.

Optional – Monkey temple.

After breakfast in the morning you will be taken for Amber Fort, the majestic fort located at the top of Aravali Hills. Take a short ride on elephant’s back to reach at the fort, an overwhelming experience.

Come back to the city & visit the City Palace, a perfection of Rajput & Mughal architecture, Palace of Winds popular as Hawa Mahal, a five storied building built in 1799 to enable the royal ladies to view the outside life & world.

Later opt for Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 1: Arrival – Delhi Sightseeing – Overnight in Delhi

Our Golden Triangle & Ranthambore escorted tour explores the classic Golden Triangle cities of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, the iconic Taj Mahal and provides an opportunity to search for the elusive, majestic Bengal Tiger in Ranthambore National Park. Distant Journeys will also take you beyond the iconic sights as we enjoy a walking food tour through the streets of old Delhi, experience a rail journey between Delhi and Agra on board the Gatimaan Express and dine with a local family in Jaipur.

Delhi, 2 nights

On arrival into Delhi, we transfer to the impressive ITC Maurya . In the evening, we meet our Tour Manager and fellow travellers for a welcome drink, where we will have the opportunity to become better acquainted for our adventures ahead. Dinner will follow in the pleasant surroundings of the hotel.

In-flight meals, drinks and dinner

Delhi is a city combining the very best of old and modern India, an introduction to this mesmerising country. After breakfast this morning, we embark on a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi, taking in sights as we ride through its streets, including the Red Fort – famed for its opulence, and being the palace of the Mughal Empire in the 1500’s. We also visit Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, as well as the lively old-city market, Chandni Chowk. It’s an action-packed morning, concluding with a street food walk in Old Delhi, where we explore the cultural mesh of flavours and Dilli recipes on offer in its many eateries. Later on we witness the imposing India Gate and striking Parliament House, and further explore New Delhi. Visits include Qutub Minar, a 13th century red sandstone and white marble minaret measuring 75 metres tall, as well as the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Humayun’s Tomb, where the 16th century Mughal Emperor lies.

Agra, Overnight

This morning, we make our way to the railway station where we board India’s historic and first semi-high-speed train, the Gatimaan Express, to Agra. On arrival, we visit Agra Fort, a historical fort which remained the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638, before travelling to our hotel, the delightful ITC Mughal . Sitting amongst beautiful landscaped gardens the hotel provides the perfect retreat from the city.

Tour Highlight This evening, as the sun sets, we venture out to see India’s most iconic attraction and testament of love, the Taj Mahal. Commissioned in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, to house the tomb of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, this breath-taking complex is said to have been constructed on the banks of Agra’s Yamuna River by over 20,000 stone carvers, masons, and artists from across India, Turkey and Iraq. We witness this magnificent monument for a sunset like no other.

Ranthambore, 2 nights

We leave Agra behind and journey to Abhaneri. Unique to India, Chand Baori at Abhaneri is a 13 storey, 1300-year-old stepwell, constructed with mind-blowing geometry and aesthetics. Our next stop is Umaid Palace, a tranquil organic retreat nestled in 20 acres of rustic countryside where we will take lunch in the palace’s serene surroundings. Afterwards, we continue to Ranthambore, for our next two nights at the Ranthambore Regency Hotel . Situated within close proximity to Ranthambore, the hotels provides the perfect base from which to explore Rajasthan’s premier national park. This evening experience a tiger talk with a local naturalist and learn more about Ranthambore’s most famous and imposing inhabitant.

Ranthambore

An early start as we journey into Ranthambore National Park, a former private hunting ground of India’s great ruler, the Maharaja. The park is famed for its majestic and elusive tigers, and celebrated for its wildlife conservation. Keep an eye out for marsh crocodiles, sloth bears, monkeys, leopards, samba deer, and over 250 bird species – all of which inhabit this incredible part of the world. We’ll board our open shared canter vehicle for our first safari, prior to breakfast. We embark on our second safari this afternoon, to explore the park further in our search for the incredible wildlife roaming the lands and waters of this eminent park. Dinner this evening is at our hotel, when we can reflect on the day’s adventures.

Jaipur, 3 nights

Enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel. Following lunch, we journey to the opulent ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan. Our accommodation in Jaipur is the ITC Rajputana inspired by the imposing architecture of Rajasthan’s traditional havelis. The evening is ours to enjoy in the most perfect surroundings.

Following breakfast, we shall travel a short distance to meet our waiting jeeps, which will take us to yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site – the magnificent Amber Fort. Set amidst dramatic pink hills and overlooking Maota Lake, the nostalgic Amber Fort is a fabulous example of Rajput architecture. Later this evening enjoy the unique delight of a cooking demonstration, and an exclusive insight into Rajasthani family life with dinner at a family home.

This morning we enjoy a tour of the delightful sights of City Palace, including its complex maze of gardens, courtyards and impressive buildings. We also visit Jantar Mantar, the ancient equinoctial sundial, and stop for a photo opportunity at Hawa Mahal, Jaipur’s amazing pink sandstone palace. The rest of the day is ours to spend as we please. In the evening, why not take an optional guided walk and visit the old stables which were converted into a market? Closely observe the gathering of local milk sellers, promoting their products for the production of delicious Indian sweets, or meander through the neighbouring eateries serving local delicacies.

Delhi, Overnight

Following breakfast, we bid farewell to wonderful Jaipur and journey to Delhi and our overnight stay at the Welcomhotel by ITC Dwarka . We spend our final night in India with new-found friends, sharing tales of our adventures, as we dine together one final time.

Depart Delhi / Arrive UK

We depart this morning for Delhi Airport for our morning flight with Virgin Atlantic, arriving in London later today.
