Here’s what Winans has to say about getting back on the road, “Over the last year, my team and I have been thanking God for the blessings and opportunities that we’ve been given. As we toured and listened to stories of healing and restoration, we started to think about what’s next? What more is there to say? During “The Goodness Tour,” we’ll get to share new songs and worship where we don’t just believe for great things, but we acknowledge His goodness, while having no ability to perceive how much more God has in store for us. We are praying with expectation of what is coming, and we hope you’ll join us.”

American tourist Scott Stevens and his daughter Wylde, 10, believe they were moments away from being killed in Iceland’s cave collapse on Sunday.

(CNN) — American tourist Scott Stevens and his daughter Wylde, 10, believe they were moments away from being killed in Iceland’s cave collapse on Sunday.
Stevens, visiting from Austin, Texas, was taking photos of his daughter in the Breiðamerkurjökull ice cave and almost stayed a few extra minutes to take pictures with an additional lens.
“I was cognizant of the other group behind me, and I didn’t want to hold everyone up, because it’s kind of a single file line. So I thought it would kind of be rude for me to make everyone stand there where I’m switching lenses, so I opted not to do so, and then we just walked out,” he told CNN in an interview.
About a minute after they left the cave, there was a loud “boom” and they heard the cave “break.”
“It felt like if you were to actually grab that other lens, then you’d 100% be dead right now … We’d be dead. We were standing in that exact spot,” Wylde Stevens said. “I’m trying not to – I don’t want to think about it.”
One American man was killed, and an American woman was injured in the cave collapse. A group of 23 tourists from several countries were exploring the attraction, located in the southeast of the country, when the incident occurred, according to public broadcaster RUV.
“She was very concerned that I would, I would have died taking her picture … I guess it felt like it could have very easily been us,” Scott Stevens said about his daughter. “And you know, I was thinking of that poor guy. He’s just here on his holiday, and I’m sure he thought he’d be going home today or tomorrow or the next day. And you know, he’s not going home.”
The elder Stevens said there were two separate groups visiting the cave. He was in the first group and the deceased and injured were in the second, he said.
The groups traveled together, but each had about a dozen people with separate tour guides.
When Scott Stevens heard the loud boom, he was talking to his group’s tour guide.
“He kind of looked at me. I looked at him. We kind of had that like ‘That’s not good’ look,” he said.
Stevens and his guide ran down into the ravine to see what was happening and saw a woman in pain.
“I saw the woman with my own eyes. I know she was hurt,” he said.
The tour guides and a doctor who happened to be on the tour were assisting her, he added.
Stevens said his tour guide was distraught.
“He was in tears. … He came back. He had blood on him, I think from the deceased gentleman. And the other tour guide was equally destroyed. … traumatized beyond belief, both of them,” Stevens said.
Stevens said he later learned from the news that the American tourists were a couple. A US State Department spokesperson confirmed the death of one US citizen and the injury of another, saying they were “ready to provide consular assistance.”

Oasis fans worried that tickets are going to disappear in seconds may get a second bite of the cherry - with reports that more gigs are going to be added once the existing ones sell out. Noel and Liam Gallagher are reuniting for a money-spinning tour that some believe will earn them more money than they made in the whole of the 90s.
Insiders told The Sun that extra concerts will be announced once the run, announced for London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester and Dublin yesterday morning, sells out. Despite the group playing some of the biggest venues in the country, including the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium , the entire run is expected to be snapped by fans in around three minutes.
The shows will reunite brothers Noel and Liam onstage for the first time in 15 years - but another member of the band is expected to return. Guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs , who was part of the world-famous group in its 1990s heyday, is thought to have been instrumental in putting the new shows together and will play in the shows next year.
A source said: “Bonehead is confirmed. They both wanted him in the fold and he was one of the drivers of the reunion. Noel has brought in some of his band too. The Oasis family has really come back together. Bonehead is ecstatic.”
Speculation has also been growing about the acts set to support Oasis on their UK tour - with Kasabian widely tipped to be opening for the brothers on a number of dates. Blossoms and Liam's son Gene's band Villanelle are also thought to be in the running.
A pre-sale registration for the Oasis reunion tour is currently underway for people wanting early access to tickets that closes at 7pm tonight. Fans who are successful in the ballot, entry to which involved naming Oasis' original drummer , will be able to buy seats on Friday instead of Saturday.
An announcement from the band read: " "To ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets, applicants will be selected for the pre-sale via a ballot. Ballot registration is open now and will close at 7pm BST, this Wednesday 28th August.
"Successful applicants will receive an email with full access information the morning of Friday 30th August. Success in the ballot will not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis."
It went on: "Due to an extremely high volume of entries, confirmation emails may be delayed. "Please be assured that everyone who has correctly filled out the ballot form before 7pm Wednesday 28th August will receive the confirmation email."

Ditfort: I believe New Zealand can slide past any team

Jordi Ditfort arrested an attack with an immaculate sliding challenge, leapt to his feet, and set off. He slalomed around one challenge but was immediately surrounded. It was run over to everyone inside the arena. Everyone, that is, except a Houdini-esque escapist. The New Zealand No11 shaped right, rolled the ball through his legs on to his left, and swung his body rhythmically to follow, the mystical move entrancing his wannabe burglars. Ditfort felt life he was controlling Ricardinho on a video game, but this was real life. He was competing against the trick daddy’s beloved Portugal, the tournament favourites, on their home court in Braga no less. The Christchurch native was snapped back to his senses by another assailant pouncing. This time, he employed supersonic footwork to send his foe scurrying for a pastel de nata, before burying the ball into the net.
Ditfort unleashed a booming roar and, with his family going nuts in the stands, shook his fist towards them. Little did he know that those ten touches, those seven seconds, that one goal would shake something much bigger. “You don’t see NZ futsal getting much attention on social media, but as soon as it hit the internet, the reaction was a bit crazy,” he said. “I was getting lots of messages.” Global attention is back on the Futsal Whites – in no small part due to Ditfort. His indecipherable dribbling and four goals, indeed, were central to them ruling Oceania last October and, at the eighth time of asking, finally reaching the FIFA Futsal World Cup™. Yesterday, Ditfort was one of eight alumni from Marvin Eakins’ World University Championship Futsal squad of 2022 – the one from which he netted against Portugal – selected by the same coach for Uzbekistan 2024. Shortly after receiving the news, the 25-year-old chatted to FIFA .
FIFA: How did it feel to beat Tahiti and finally qualify for the FIFA Futsal World Cup for the first time? FIFA: How did it feel to beat Tahiti and finally qualify for the FIFA Futsal World Cup for the first time?
Jordi Ditfort: Getting to a World Cup was a long time coming. Especially for those that had tried to qualify for a World Cup three or four times. I was there four years ago. We lost on penalties in the final. It was the lowest point of a lot of our careers. So to overcome that, get it done, especially at home, was a very special moment for everyone. It was really emotional.
It looked like a tremendous atmosphere at Pulman Arena… It looked like a tremendous atmosphere at Pulman Arena…
The atmosphere was unreal. Especially in New Zealand, I don’t think you see crowds like that. Sometimes I find myself going back and watching the goals. Not to see the goals, but just to hear the crowd reactions to when they go in. You get that feeling back. The crowd was amazing. What we achieved was super special, and we’ll remember that atmosphere for the rest of our lives.
Will you have family over in Uzbekistan for the World Cup? Will you have family over in Uzbekistan for the World Cup?
[The players] have got a crew of 30 of 40 people coming over from New Zealand. Personally I’ve got both my parents and my brother going over. There’s a supporters’ group chat. They’re getting t-shirts sorted. I think they’re as excited as we are! (laughs)
Congratulations on making the squad. How excited are you to be going to a World Cup? Congratulations on making the squad. How excited are you to be going to a World Cup?
This is when it gets real. You see your name on the paper, you realise that you’re going to be there soon, get to play against all these amazing players in this amazing tournament that we’ve all been dreaming about for so long. It's nothing short of a dream. I think for anyone who plays futsal or football growing up, that’s always the dream: to represent your country in a World Cup. With everything we’ve gone through trying to get to a World Cup, to have finally got there, it’s hard to describe how excited we are. It’s going to be an insane experience.
Can you tell us about the wonder goal you scored against Portugal in 2022? Can you tell us about the wonder goal you scored against Portugal in 2022?
(laughs) Probably the best goal I’ve ever scored. I doubt it will ever be topped. Futsal isn’t as advanced as other sports. You don’t see NZ futsal getting much attention on social media, but as soon as it hit the internet, the reaction was a bit crazy. I was getting lots of messages. It was really cool to see it reach so many people, read all the comments. They were all positive, encouraging. I feel that the futsal community is a tightknit group, always positive and supportive.
New Zealand got a really tough draw. Would you have preferred an easier run, or the opportunity to play against such elite stars? New Zealand got a really tough draw. Would you have preferred an easier run, or the opportunity to play against such elite stars?
It's a double-edged sword. You want to play those big teams. We knew we were going to get a really tough team out of Pot 1, and so you want to play against the best. Playing Spain is a dream, I was happy with that. Drawing Kazakhstan out of Pot 2 was a tough one. Kazakhstan are obviously a really good side. Being honest, I wouldn’t have minded getting a lower-ranked team. It would have been nice to have a potentially easier game, but you never know what form the other teams could be in anyway. We’ve got to roll with it and it’s very exciting that we get to play against two top teams.
First up for New Zealand is Libya. Do you see it as a must-win game and are you confident you can get the job done? First up for New Zealand is Libya. Do you see it as a must-win game and are you confident you can get the job done?
We’re putting film together. We have a really good management team. We’ve watched them play. They won against Egypt on pens in the third-place play-off, but they lost 4-0 against Egypt in pool play. I don’t think they’re the best team coming out of that region, so I think we have a really good chance against them. It is a must-win game. We’re all eyeing that game up as one we need to get a result out of. Then if we play our hearts out against the other two teams, maybe we can bag a result or scrape through as a best third-placed team. That first one is really do or die.
What do you think of this Spain team? What do you think of this Spain team?
Playing Spain is going to be an unreal experience. They’ve got some amazing players. The whole country has such a reputation in futsal. I watched their game against Morocco – Morocco were unbelievable themselves. It’s going to be a real challenge for us, but we’re going to be really up for it, that’s for sure. We’re not going to back down. It’s going to be super cool.
Adolfito, Catela, Sergio Lozano, Miguel Mellado, Tomaz… which Spain player most impresses you? Adolfito, Catela, Sergio Lozano, Miguel Mellado, Tomaz… which Spain player most impresses you?
It's hard to even comprehend the amount of great players we’re going to be playing against! (laughs) I think Tomaz is unreal. I think he’s one of the best players around. You look at the team sheets for Spain and its unbelievable. There’s names all over it. It’s amazing to think we’re going to be playing against these players. Maybe we sneak through and get to face Portugal. Their team sheet is the same, just full of great names.
Kazakhstan have two legends of the sport in Higuita and Douglas Junior. What do you think of those two players? Kazakhstan have two legends of the sport in Higuita and Douglas Junior. What do you think of those two players?
They are both unbelievable. That game’s going to be very interesting for us. They play a lot of fifth man. We’re going to be facing a lot of shots, that’s for sure. I managed to play against them at the University World Games. Obviously it was against different players, but they played a similar style. I’d like to think we could look back at that and try and figure out some things. It’s going to be cool to try and test ourselves against their different style, and obviously to play against two legends in Higuita and Douglas.
Kazakhs are very passionate about futsal and there’s sure to be a lot of them across the border for the game. Have you briefed the 30 or 40 relatives the players have coming out on competing with their fans’ noise? Kazakhs are very passionate about futsal and there’s sure to be a lot of them across the border for the game. Have you briefed the 30 or 40 relatives the players have coming out on competing with their fans’ noise?
(laughs) We’ll be loud! I don’t think we’ll be as loud as all the Kazakhs, but our fans will try and do their best. For me, with fans, whether they’re with you or against you, the louder they are, the better it is. I think it’s so cool how passionate people are about futsal. Playing Kazakhstan is going to be some atmosphere, a very, very loud one. Our fans will be outnumbered, but they won’t be backing down either! (laughs)
Who would be your tip to win the World Cup? Who would be your tip to win the World Cup?
Probably us! Nah, it’s hard to look past Portugal. With Zicky up top and a lot of other talent around him, I think they’re going to be really hard to beat. They always seem to look good. I think Portugal are the favourites. I think it will be Portugal or Brazil, but I think Morocco are definitely going to be up there. They beat Spain 4-1, they beat Argentina. They put a young team out that beat the Iran first team. I definitely think they will reach the semi-finals if not further.
Other than yourself, which Futsal Whites do you expect to shine most at the World Cup? Other than yourself, which Futsal Whites do you expect to shine most at the World Cup?
I think we have quite an even playing field. There’s no crazy different range between players. Narrowing it down, I’d say Dylan Manickum has probably been New Zealand’s best player for the best part of the last ten years. He’s a great footballer as well. In futsal, he’s got multiple OFC MVPs under his belt. Both of our fixos, Logan [Wisnewski] and Ethan [Martin], are class. Easily the best our country has in that position. Steve [Ashby-Peckham] has got a lot of experience, he always scores big goals for us. Rahan [Ali] is a certified goalscorer. Hamo [Hamish Grey] is playing overseas so he’s picking up lots of things over there. Everyone brings a lot of different things to the table, which takes the sport forward for us.
You’re a winger, but you’ve been filling in at pivot now and again. How do you find that? You’re a winger, but you’ve been filling in at pivot now and again. How do you find that?
We’ve had some injuries in the pivot position. I’ve had to fill in. I’m just happy to be out there, I’ll play anywhere. I wouldn’t say I play like a traditional pivot. I’m not a big, stockily-built guy who’s going to hold up the ball for minutes on end. I like to think I bring something a little different to the table. I try to catch the opposition fixo off guard, get in behind or do something they’re not expecting. I’m predominantly a winger but I do enjoy my time up there. As long as I’m on the court, I have the chance to impact the game.
Finally, what’s the target for New Zealand at Uzbekistan 2024? Finally, what’s the target for New Zealand at Uzbekistan 2024?
The target is to be crowned champions of the world. I don’t want to say anything short of that. But within our camp, I think we’re looking at getting out of the group stage. We’ve broken it down, looked at what we need to do. First we need to beat Libya and make it out of the group. Then in the knockout rounds, it’s futsal, anything can happen. You see upsets all the time. It’s a fast game. Even against the best teams in the world, you score one, you defend unbelievably well, you maybe get a bit of luck. I believe New Zealand can slide past any team.
