Event Details

The  EAGLES  - Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill –have extended the  “Hotel California” 2022 Tour   and will make a stop at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Thursday, March 17 at 8:00 p.m.   The concert will feature ‘Hotel California,’ performed live in its entirety from start to finish, accompanied by an orchestra and choir. After a short intermission, the band will perform a set of their greatest hits.   Tickets for the newly added dates for the tour, produced by Live Nation, go on sale Friday, January 14th at 10 AM local time. A variety of presales are available starting Thursday, January 13th at 10 AM local time. Check Eagles.com for complete tour and ticket information.      A limited number of VIP packages will be available starting Friday, January 14th at 10 AM local. VIP packages include premium seats, exclusive merchandise, parking & more.    The Eagles kicked off the “Hotel California” concerts in 2019 in Las Vegas to rave reviews and critical acclaim. To date, the Eagles have performed more than 30 Sold-Out shows in 15 major U.S. arenas, including five nights at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City, four nights at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, and three concerts at the Forum in Los Angeles.     “From the title track — a 6 1/2-minute flamenco-reggae ballad— to the elegiac closer ‘The Last Resort,’ it’s consummately performed…” -Los Angeles Times    “The band performed the album from front to back, following with a blazing greatest hits set that had the audience at the sold-out arena constantly on its feet…With no exception, the songs have aged well, but how could they fail with the Eagles’ five-part harmony and five guitar-approach… (Henley’s) voice sounded as strong and pliant as it ever has, easily hitting the highest of notes, while retaining his trademark huskiness.”  -Billboard    “By now the orchestra has been joined by a choir. The Eagles’ sound, with its glowing harmonies, barely needs them, but they add to the sense of occasion – and the delight of the crowd. I’ve never seen so many songs receive a standing ovation.” -Daily Mail    Hotel California is the third best-selling U.S. album in history, certified 26-times Platinum by the RIAA. After its release in 1976, it topped the charts and won two GRAMMY Awards for "New Kid in Town" and "Hotel California."  Several of the songs from the album have never been performed since the original “Hotel California” tour.  The band’s Their Greatest Hits 1971-1977 is the best-selling U.S. album in history, with the RIAA certifying the collection at 38-times Platinum.     In today’s faddish, fractured, rock landscape, the Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons. As the bestselling American band of the ’70s, and one of the top-selling acts of all time, the Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six #1 albums, and topped the singles charts five times. They have won six GRAMMY® Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

LOS ANGELES , July 6, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — After more than 50 years of touring, and consistently selling out arenas and stadiums worldwide, the Eagles announced today that their upcoming “The Long Goodbye”  will be the band’s final tour.

Thirteen shows will be initially announced. The first set of dates will begin September 7, 2023 , in New York .

The Eagles’ long-time contemporaries and fellow Hall of Famers, Steely Dan,  will be joining these historic shows and commemorating their own 50+ year career.

Presale tickets and VIP packages will be available starting Wednesday, July 12 for all announced shows. The general on-sale will start Friday, July 14 at 10:00 AM local time.

During “The Long Goodbye,” the Eagles – Don Henley , Joe Walsh , Timothy B. Schmit , with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey – will perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands. The tour is expected to continue into 2025.

Over the band’s more than 50 years of touring, the Eagles have performed more than 1,000 concerts around the world, accounting for more than 15 million tickets. Eagles’ tours have consistently ranked in the Top 10 of both concert industry publications, Billboard and Pollstar .

In the Fall of 1971, the Eagles formed, pioneered, and personified a uniquely American musical style blending country, folk, R&B, rock, and pop sensibilities, and would go onto become one of the most creatively and commercially successful bands of all time.  In today’s faddish, fractured, rock landscape, the Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons.

The Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six #1 albums, and topped the singles charts five times. They earned six GRAMMY Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their very first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

The band’s Greatest Hits 1971-1977 is the best-selling album in history, with the RIAA certifying the collection at 38-times Platinum.  Hotel California is the third best-selling U.S. album in history, certified 26-times Platinum.  After its release in 1976, it topped the charts and earned two GRAMMY Awards for “New Kid In Town” and “Hotel California.”

The Eagles announce farewell tour with Cleveland stop: 'The time has come'

Portrait of Melissa Ruggieri

The Eagles will embark on their own long road out of Eden this fall for a farewell tour expected to last into 2025.

"We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful," the band said in a statement. "Everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle."

Dubbed The Long Goodbye, the Eagles' final shows will kick off Sept. 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Only the first handful of dates are being announced with Boston (Sept. 11), Denver (Oct. 5), Atlanta (Nov. 2) and St. Paul, Minnesota (Nov. 17) among them.

The tour includes an Oct. 17 stop at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

Presale tickets and VIP packages go on sale July 12; the general on-sale begins 10 a.m. local time July 14.

Also along for the jaunt will be Steely Dan, longtime contemporaries of the band who will commemorate their own five-decade-plus career.

In announcing their plans to end their "52-year odyssey," the Eagles – composed of Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit – noted they will play as many shows in each market as the audience demands, even if it requires returning to certain cities. The band will be joined onstage, as they have since the 2016 death of founding member Glenn Frey, by Vince Gill and Frey's son, Deacon.

Shortly after Frey's death at the age of 67, Henley indicated the Eagles would no longer tour. But following a pair of special classic-rock-focused festivals in 2017 – Classic West and Classic East, organized by their longtime manager Irving Azoff – they resumed regular live performances.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and six-time Grammy winners have played more than 1,000 concerts throughout their 50 years of touring. Their recently wrapped Hotel California Tour – named for their landmark 1976 album, which they played in its entirety with a backing orchestra – grossed about $250 million over 90 shows, according to music industry trade publication Pollstar.

In thanking fans for their years of support, the band concluded, "This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on."

Browns Have NFL's Most Top-Heavy Roster After Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Deal

  • Cleveland Browns

Wednesday was a monumental day for for the Cleveland Browns franchise, as they extended linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah on a three-year deal. The payout for the contract will be $39M with $25M guaranteed. Owusu-Koramoah's base salary in 2024 maxes out at $13M.

This number is significant for the fourth-year linebacker because it officially makes the Browns the most "top-heavy" team in the league. Thanks to Owusu-Koramoah, the Browns now lead the league with 13 players making over $10M in the 2024 NFL Season.

The #Browns now have a league-high 13 players making over $10M per season, as @SpielbergerBrad noted: - Deshaun Watson: $46M - Myles Garrett: $25M - Denzel Ward: $20.1M - Amari Cooper: $20M - Jerry Jeudy: $17.5M - Joel Bitonio: $16M - Jack Conklin: $15M - Dalvin… https://t.co/CptLqfM5ME — Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) August 14, 2024

This group is obviously headlined by quarterback Deshaun Wartson's $46M cap hit, but the rest of the list is hard to argue with.

1. Myles Garrett - $25M

2. denzel ward - $20.1m, 3. amari cooper - $20m, 4. jerry jeudy - $17.5m, 5. joel bitonio - $16m, 6. jack conklin - $15m, 7. dalvin tomlinson - $14.25m, 8. wyatt teller - $14.2m, 9. david njoku - $13.6m, 10. jeremiah owusu-koramoah - $13m, 11. grant delpit - $12m, 12. za'darius smith - $11.5m.

Cleveland's 13 players over the $10M threshold broke the tie with the Philadelphia Eagles for the most players in the NFL. The best part about that list? Most of the players on it are homegrown.

Yes, there are some guys on this list who Cleveland went out and signed in free agency, but Garrett, Ward, Bitonio, JOK, Delpit and Njoku all were drafted to the Browns. You could even argue that Teller fits into this category because the Browns traded for him in just his second season.

Cleveland's commitment to growing their draft picks should be commended. It's how they have been able to sustainably build one of the best rosters in the entire NFL.

General manager Andrew Berry has been able to navigate Cleveland's cap so masterfully, and owner Jimmy Haslam has opened his checkbook making it possible for the Browns to make this happen.

The only thing left to do for Cleveland is to cash these paychecks in. Maybe 2024 is the year they are able to do it.

The Eagles announce farewell tour: 'The time has come for us to close the circle'
