Beavers Bend Safari Park

Nestled on 90 acres in the heart of Hochatown, OK near Hochatown Saloon. Beavers Bend Drive-Thru Safari Park is home to a variety of animals like Bison, Zebra, Ostrich, Kudu, Exotic Antelope, Lemurs, Kangaroos, Elk and counting. The safari park roadway is approximately 1.8 miles long meandering through stunning natural terrain with towering trees and water streams making it the perfect backdrop to observe our magnificent animals as you drive through creating memories you and your family will cherish.

Beavers Bend Safari Park is open year round, park hours vary based on seasonal and holiday demands.

Outdoor activities are the main reason you decided to visit the Beavers Bend area. Below you will find a list of public and private outdoor activities. Many of them are free or inexpensive. From swimming, zip lining, Hiking & biking or golfing to fly fishing , boating or visitng a safari park.

Beavers Bend State Park

To get the true feel of Kiamichi Wilderness, one must take a journey on one of the many hiking trails. With a wide variety of trail difficulty and length, there's something for every hiker.

Canoe & Kayak

Canoe, kayak, and inner tube rentals are available for those wishing to experience the crystal clear waters of the Lower Mountain Fork River. River trips take place east of Broken Bow. However, Beavers Bend State Park offers rentals that do not require seperate drop off and pick up areas.

Be sure to stop by the Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides located inside the park to board a replica train that winds through the forest of Beavers Bend State Park.

Fishing Guides

Horseback Riding

The Beavers Bend area features more than a half-million acres of land available for horseback riding. Whether you are an experienced rider or saddling up for the first time, there is a horseback ride that fits your skill level.

There are designated areas for ATV riding. Private ATV/UTV companies are also available to rent from.

Cedar Creek Golf Course at Beavers Bend is a public golf course on the shores of Broken Bow Lake, about nine miles north of the city of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Or drive 20 miles South to the Idabel Country Club.

There is so much to see and do here in Broken Bow, OK. Our favorite hidden gems are the Beavers Bend Safari Park and Hochatown Petting Zoo . Read on to learn about these unique adventures for animal lovers and explorers of all ages.

Go on a Drive-Through Safari

Did you know zebras and elk live right down the road from our luxury cabin rentals? Not only will you enjoy your gorgeous cabin, but you'll also be blown away by the Beavers Bend Safari Park nearby. With over 90 acres of forest in Hochatown, this family-owned drive-through safari park is home to 30 species and over 180 unique animals, including Bison, Zebra, Kangaroos, Elk, Ostrich, Kudu, Deer, Antelopes, Lemurs, and more.

Arrive for your scheduled self-guided tour and take your time following the meandering route through the park, taking in the serenity of the animals that call this forest home. The drive through the park is 1.8 miles and takes about one hour to complete. The landscape of natural terrain, trees, and streams is a gorgeous backdrop to these magnificent creatures. Flash photography is not allowed, but you can take some fantastic shots from inside your car as long as there is no flash and you respect the animals. Afterward, stop by the gift shop for a souvenir to commemorate your visit and some light refreshments from The Coffee Bar to enjoy on the patio.

You may purchase your tickets in the gift shop during regular business hours. However, booking your tickets online beforehand is recommended to secure a spot. The park is open year-round, rain or shine! Some park features may close temporarily during severe weather but will reopen when it is safe. The park is open daily from 9-6 PM in the summer, with the last entry permitted at 5:15 PM. Book your tour today and enjoy this unforgettable experience during your next visit. Get Up Close and Personal at the Petting Zoo

Another nearby adventure for animal lovers is the Hochatown Rescue Center and Petting Zoo. This fun spot is conveniently located in the heart of Hochatown on Highway 259, just a hop and a skip from the luxury Bravo cabins available for rent. This petting zoo is a home for rescued, orphaned, and surrendered animals of all kinds, including deer, goats, bunnies, foxes, and even the beloved Pokey, the porcupine! Some of the animals are even available for adoption. Both kids and adults alike will find exploring the zoo and meeting each unique animal an unforgettable and heartwarming experience.
