Outstanding Service

This was our first time using Stewart Travel and it certainly wont be the last. Dougie was such a blessing - his knowledge is second to none, his customer service, attention to detail, promptness, courteousness, professionalism and ability to plan is superlative. He is the most responsive travel agent I have ever worked with (by far), no matter what obstacle we put in his way nothing was ever too much trouble. Dougie went above and beyond and made every part of the choosing and booking process 100% stress free. I would highly recommend Stewart Travel.

Excellent service

Excellent service. Sam answered all our queries promptly, and our trip went well. (Baltic Tour plus train/ferry/hotels going and coming.) Minor concern that we only received our documents about ten days before we left. However, we understand the delays involved, and were advised about them by Sam. Thanks!

Discovery princess cruise . We went to the branch at Ayr and…di

We went to the branch at Ayr and Jocelyn dealt with us exceptionally booking flights cruise and all taxi transfers in LA and a two night stay at a hotel. All went great and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Jocelyn also informed us of a last minute change of itinerary due to an environmental issue in Northern California . The only downside was the utter chaos at LA port owing to disembarking and embarking passengers mixing.at the port. The welcome aboard the ship was very poor and almost non existent this was entirely the responsibility of Princess cruises . Once the ship sailed we got the experience we had hoped. We will certainly be using Stewart travel again

MyCanada Trip September

Overall the agent who worked with us booked good hotels and excisions for us, the Air Canada Flights were a disappointing, we were not made aware that the tickets were SBY, ie stand by and that meant if the plane was overbooked this could have kick us off. This travel agent did not mentioned this at the time of booking and we ended struggling when we tried to book seats so we could seat together, in-fact we could not do this, we were just allocated what was left at the gate. Air Canada said its down to your agent. BTW do not fly Air Canada, worest carrier I have flow over 35 years.

Safe Hands Holidays with Stewart Travel …

Having used Stewart travel for many years I know my holiday plans are in safe hands with Jayne in the Paisley branch. She always takes interest in the travelers requirements and ensures that the holiday is matched. Jet 2 let me down this time with a four hour flight delay which resulted in not getting to my hotel till 4am (no fault of Stewart Travel)

Another successful holiday …

Have booked many holidays with Stewart Travel in Prestwick, and have nothing but praise for this branch. They take the stress out of travel by doing everything for me, which I truly appreciate as I get older and find online things difficult to navigate. Every member of staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't use anywhere else.

We had a holiday booked through Stewart Travel for July 2020. Because of lockdown we couldn't go and I lost my deposit. I had another holiday that year through Jet2 and we got our money back. We go on holiday 3 to 4 times a year, I will NEVER use your services. Infact I must put this on social media and trip advisor. I would NEVER put trust in you again. Get Outlook for Android

I have been using Stewart Travel for years

I have been using Stewart Travel Kilmarnock for a good number of years now. In the past I have booked my holidays myself, booking flights and hotel separately, but having used Stewart Travel, (Claire Cornelius), I would not go back to doing this. The comfort, ease, and cost of using Stewart Travel, greatly out way trying to do this yourself. Lynda Ross and team are doing a sterling job. Keep doing, what you are doing well. Alan Urquhart.

Not happy with the irvine branch,we have a 13yr old girl and was told that because she had 2 vaccines a and a passport to prove this was enough for her to fly wrong!!!! We had to go to Glasgow so she had to have a test to prove she was OK to fly This is unacceptable it could have cost us her flight if we didn't investigate the covid details of flying yet Stuart Travel Irvine said it was OK

Seat mix up

Booked with Ayr branch. We discussed seating and chose our seats near the front of the plane as my wife has a mobility problem. However when booking passes arrived the seats were near middle of plane and window and middle . We wanted an outside seat . Phoned Ayr branch and received an apology. However we were not told that we could change seats online. I luckily managed to do this . Other than this we had a good holiday.

Not ideal for single traveller since no singles are permitted a balcony.

I did not have a balcony nor air-con only a huge fan with a huge nose cone fit for a rocket. I didn't use it. The electrics in the hotel were in need of repair /unsafe and dangerous. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly and the bed was a decent size. Breakfast was the same every morning /basic. The hotel is well named. Not recommended for a quiet holiday.

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. , (April 8, 2024) - Award-winning actress and performer Hannah Waddingham will serve the time-honored, maritime tradition as the official Godmother of Princess Cruises’ newest “Love Boat” Sun Princess. The star-studded naming ceremony will take place at the Port of Barcelona on April 23, 2024.

British actress and singer, Waddingham is beloved for her role as Rebecca Welton in Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso,” in which her performance garnered a Primetime Emmy, Critics Choice Television Award and Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as two individual Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations. She will next be seen in the highly anticipated Universal film “The Fall Guy” opposite Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in theaters on May 3, 2024. Earlier this year, Waddingham earned a BAFTA TV Award nomination for her own Apple TV+ holiday special “Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas.” Waddingham made her worldwide hosting debut in April 2023 at The Olivier Awards (she returns as host for the 2024 ceremony on April 14) followed swiftly by the BBC Eurovision Song Contest 2023, for which she has gained her second BAFTA TV nomination and won The Royal Television Society award for “Best Entertainment Performance” in 2024. How these cruise passengers missed boarding, got stranded in Africa

Both Americans and Australians were left at port after an excursion ran long.

After what seemed like a dream trip, several American travelers were left stranded at port in West Africa mid-cruise while traveling from Cape Town, South Africa, to Barcelona, Spain.

Jay and Jill Campbell told ABC News Myrtle Beach affiliate WPDE that they were in the first week of a three week voyage aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines when they stopped just off the coast of West Africa.

The couple and others opted to tour the nearby island of São Tomé and Príncipe on the afternoon of March 27, and when the excursion ran late, they said they brought it to the guides' attention.

"We were like, 'our time is getting short,'" Jay Campbell recalled, at which point he said the guide let them know, "'No problem we can get you back in an hour.'"

Upon their return, the passengers said cruise officials refused to let them aboard the ship, even as the local Coast Guard had ferried the group to the anchored vessel.

"The harbormaster tried to call the ship. The captain refused the call. We sent emails to NCL the customer service emergency number," Jay Campbell said. "They said the only way for us to get in touch with the ship is via email. They're not responding to our emails."

PHOTO: In this March 22, 2022 file photo, the Norwegian Dawn cruise ship is seen in San Miguel de Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

The Campbells say they were left stranded along with four other Americans and two Australians -- of whom one is a paraplegic, one has a heart condition and one is pregnant. Some did not have credit cards or medication that was left on board.

Cruise expert Stewart Chiron, known as The Cruise Guy, told ABC News that "the bottom line was, they were hours late, the ship was ready to go."

"More than likely that the anchor was already up, and the ship was already possibly moving," he said.

He continued, "Any operation at that point to get these passengers back on the ship would have caused tremendous delays, and safety would have been a major concern."

In a statement to ABC News, a spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Lines said, "On the afternoon of March 27, 2024, while the ship was in São Tomé and Príncipe, an African island nation, eight guests who were on the island on a private tour not organized through us missed the last tender back to the vessel, therefore not meeting the all aboard time of 3 p.m. local time."

They continued, "While this is a very unfortunate situation, guests are responsible for ensuring they return to the ship at the published time, which is communicated broadly over the ship's intercom, in the daily communication and posted just before exiting the vessel."

The spokesperson added that the passports for the passengers who did not return at the all aboard time "were delivered to the local port agents to retrieve when they returned to the port, as per the regular protocol."

"Our team has been working closely with the local authorities to understand the requirements and necessary visas needed for the guests to rejoin the ship at the next available port of call," they said.

The Campbells said that their eight person group spent 15 hours traveling through six countries in an attempt to rejoin the Norwegian Dawn ship in Banjul, Gambia, on April 1. However, the ship couldn't dock due to low tide, so they are now trying to get to Senegal where the ship is meant to dock on Tuesday.

PHOTO: In this Feb. 2, 2021 file photo, a panoramic view of the Obo National Park is seen in São Tomé and Príncipe.

The Norwegian spokesperson said, "Unfortunately the ship was unable to safely dock in the destination due to adverse weather conditions, as well as tidal restrictions that require specific timing for safe passage. While we share in our guests' disappointment, this modification was made with great consideration for their safety and that of our crew, which is our top priority."

The cruise line contacted the guests "regarding this itinerary adjustment and provided them with authorization to rejoin the ship at Dakar, Senegal on April 2, 2024."

In light of the "series of unfortunate events outside of our control," the spokesperson said Norwegian Cruise Lines "will be reimbursing these eight guests for their travel costs from Banjur, Gambia to Dakar, Senegal" and are still in communication with the guests to provide additional information as it becomes available.

In a separate, unrelated situation that took place coincidentally on the same day of the voyage, the spokesperson said, "An 80-year-old woman was medically disembarked after being evaluated by our onboard medical team, who thought it best that she receive further assessment and treatment as needed from a local hospital."

"In instances such as these, as the guest was released from the hospital and in a coherent state, our protocol is to contact the guest directly, as we would not have the authority to share any medical details with anyone else without their expressed consent," the spokesperson added, saying they worked with the port agent to receive updates.

"The guest has since been escorted on a flight to Lisbon, Portugal, and then put in the care of airport staff to continue her journey to the United States, where she has now made a safe return," they said.

ATLANTA — The deep end of the pool may have been just what the Mets needed to prove they can swim.

Three games against everybody’s pick to win the NL East, two victories and a needed offensive awakening.

The Mets had plenty of reasons to like their situation as they departed Truist Park on Thursday following a 16-4 victory over the Braves.

There was the satisfaction of winning their first road trip, with four victories in six games, but mostly the Mets handled a nemesis that has caused so much torment over the years.

On this day the Mets assembled their best performance over the first 12 games, jumping on Allan Winans early and never relenting.

Next stop is Citi Field for six games against the Royals and Pirates, both of whom have played at surprisingly high level to begin the season.

Thursday’s onslaught concluded with former Mets infielder Luis Guillorme on the mound for the Braves to record the final three outs.

But that wasn’t before Tyrone Taylor smashed a pinch-hit grand slam.

Jose Quintana turned in the best start by a Mets pitcher in the series, allowing three earned runs on five hits over 5 ⅓ innings.

The left-hander opened the road trip by allowing one earned run over 5 ⅔ innings in a no-decision against the Reds last Friday.

Brett Baty continued his recent surge with an RBI single in the first that gave the Mets their initial run.

Starling Marte walked in the inning and Pete Alonso delivered a two-out single before Baty went to the opposite field on an 0-2 fastball to bring in the run.

Brandon Nimmo’s double off Michael Harris II’s glove in center field extended the Mets’ lead to 2-0 in the second following Jeff McNeil’s leadoff walk.

Orlando Arcia booted Marte’s grounder for an error, allowing Nimmo to score the Mets’ third run.

The Mets broke it open in the third with four additional runs.

Francisco Alvarez and McNeil stroked consecutive RBI doubles before DJ Stewart cleared the right-field wall for his second homer in the series.

Stewart, whose blast on Monday brought in the go-ahead runs in the Mets’ 8-7 victory, has two hits this season, both of which are homers.

Quintana didn’t allow a hit until the fourth on Matt Olson’s two-out triple, but kept his shutout intact until the fifth Chadwick Tromp delivered a two-run double that pulled the Braves within 7-2.

Tromp scored the inning’s third run on a wild pitch before Quintana escaped further damage by retiring Austin Riley.

The Mets loaded the bases with nobody out in the seventh and added a run on Alvarez’s RBI fielder’s choice before McNeil’s two-run single extended the lead to 10-3.

All three runs in the inning were unearned following Riley’s fielding error.
