This place is a little gem. Perfect location, right next to incredible reserves in greater Kruger. One day we woke up to giraffes right at our doorstep. The owner is absolutely lovely, helpful and attentive to every detail. She helped us arrange all our outings, food orders and everything we asked. The food she made was the most delicious we had in South Africa, even compared to our 5 star JHB hotel. We are vegetarian and have some food allergies and she catered to every need. The room itself is gorgeous with one indoor and one outdoor shower, and one indoor and one outdoor bed to watch the milky way at night and hear the lions roar. Truly magical.

This establishment offers a complete turnkey service. Host Alet goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the absolute comfort of her guests. The facilities are excellent and really sets the bar high for luxury bush breaks - a very tough act to follow, and hands down the best luxury bush break I've ever experienced in South Africa.

Wow wow wow, what a beautiful property. the decor, cleanliness and location was perfect. The host was like no other. very friendly very attentive, yiu are catered to as yiu would be in a 7 star resort. everything here was above and beyond! A lot of luxury resorts could learn from Aleta the host how to treat your guests. Don’t think too long about booking here because if you miss it, you will regret it! the food is amazing, great selection at the bar. Aleta even packed a picnic basket for us when we were going to Kruger for a day. This is truly a top notch property. I travel extensively and pick my accommodations according to reviews on service and cleaneliness, this place beats all my stays so far! Will definitely stay again when visiting the area. Highly reccomend.

We loved African Flair so much. The design, the space, the privacy (you have your private villa and private pool), the quality of sleep, the beauty of this place are out of this world. We travel a lot and have pretty high expectations and African Flair exceeded them all. This is not a 5 star but a 6 star experience. Not to mention the owner who is the kindest person, focused on providing her guests with the best service and at the same time respecting their privacy. We have never felt so well taken care of. We definitely want to come back and next time we plan to stay much longer.

Comfortable, spotless clean property with a fantastic luxurious African flair. The aesthetics are awesome. Add ons especially turndown not to be missed. Breakfast woww - you have to experience it to understand this lodge is a true sample of excellent hospitality you experience all round. The lodge is exquisitely decorated and very clean! The pictures don’t even do it justice. We loved the pool area and the room was just stunning and very clean. Breakfast was good and had generous portions. Our host was very helpful, friendly and just a lovely person all around. She made the stay super pleasant and took extra effort and care to arrange a cake and dinner for my husband’s birthday. We’ll definitely be going back!

I loved everything about the place it’s so refreshing,I highly recommend it ,the bed was too comfortable and we loved the outdoor shower and the pool with waterfall..This is a beautiful place ❤️

SLEEP A WHISKER AWAY FROM SUMATRAN TIGERS

Enjoy an overnight experience, unlike anywhere else in the UK 

Four brand-new, luxurious lodges offer an amazing overnight stay amongst our incredible Sumatran tigers. Two types of lodges will be available: with a hot tub and without a hot tub.

Lodges with a hot tub are detached, single-storey spaces, sleeping up to five people. These lodges feature an open-plan living and dining area and two bedrooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows looking into the Sumatran tiger habitat. Outside you’ll find a covered garden area, with a sunken hot tub right next to a large, glass window offering a chance to get up close to this endangered species.

Lodges without a hot tub are double-storey and can sleep up to six people. Downstairs is a master bedroom and in the living area is an authentically themed day bed, which can be used as a space to relax and take in the views. Stairs lead to an upstairs bedroom, with three single beds and an additional bathroom.

The Wildlife

Watch the stunning Sumatran tigers right outside your window. These incredible felines are the smallest variety of tiger. Their stripes are as unique as a human’s fingerprints, with each individual having its own stripe pattern.

Unlike most of their cousins, tigers love swimming and will frequently cool off by having a dip in their pools!

Nakal is our 8-year-old male who has been at the Park since 2016 after moving from London Zoo. Our female, 10-year-old Dourga has been at the Park since July 2022 after travelling from Fota Wildlife Park in Ireland.

See if you can tell the pair apart from your window – Dourga has thinner stripes and has 2 circles at the top of her back right leg. Nakal has thicker whiskers, thicker black stripes and oval shaped stripe pattern along his sides!

Our Signature Safari lodges are the most luxurious holiday accommodation on park and offer an exclusive glamping experience. These lodges host plenty of space for the whole family, modern amenities and captivating interiors.

The Safari lodges feature double glazed windows and central heating for maximum comfort, with covered outdoor verandas and private hot tubs.

The spacious open plan living area benefits from a gas log burner, two sofas, a smart TV and dining table that seats 8. The fully fitted, well-equipped kitchen includes an oven, microwave, dishwasher, wine cooler and fridge freezer (American style in 2 bedroom lodges).

The two bedroom lodges have one double bedroom, one twin, a shower room and an en-suite bath with shower for ultimate relaxation. The three bedroom lodges have a double bedroom, two twin rooms and two shower rooms. With TVs in every bedroom!

You can enjoy al fresco dining on the outdoor balcony, furnished with table & chairs. Then as the day draws to an end, why not relax and unwind in the private hot tub?

All our accommodation is a non smoking. All beds are made up on arrival and there is a guaranteed check in time of 2pm.

If you love all the fresh-air adventure and exploration of a safari, but don’t fancy the closeness of man-eating lions, a trip to Rusty Lane Safari Lodge (complete with hot tub for laid-back stargazing evenings) could be just the holiday you’re looking for!

Secluded amongst peaceful Wiltshire countryside, in a hilltop village close to bustling Devizes, Rusty Lane Safari Lodge sleeps up to four guests, making this an ideal family escape into nature.

Not that you’ll be ‘roughing it’ here. Filled with creature comforts, cheerful décor, and thoughtful attention to detail, the welcoming wooden lodge will soon feel like a much-loved home-from-home.

Even before you’ve stepped inside, you’ll want to hang out in the sociable, sheltered al fresco seating area, with its comfy chairs, bar-style seating, and a handy hatch into the kitchen.

When you do head indoors, you’ll note the gorgeous wood-burner in the heart of the Lodge, along with the plush sofa adorned with butter-soft cushions and throws. Just the thing, after a long day of rambling in the countryside.

There’s an indoor dining area if the weather decides to take a turn for the worse, and a well-equipped kitchen with a full-sized fridge-freezer, hob and toaster… not to mention that all-important electric kettle.

Bedroom-wise, there’s a double and a twin to choose from, with yet more throws and snuggly blankets to help you drift off into a warm, dreamy night’s sleep.

Take a leisurely walk along the Kennet and Avon canal, or jump in the car to enjoy the rolling countryside at its loveliest, with the North Wessex Downs, the Cotswolds, and Cranborne Chase all in easy reach.

Prefer shopping ‘til you drop, peppered with breaks for lunch and coffee? You’ll find nearby Melksham and Devizes brimming with independent shops, pubs, and charming cafés.

There was a time when lodges with hot tubs were the latest thing but now people are demanding even more from their holiday experience. It’s brilliant to make holiday memories and a stay in a safari tent will definitely create lasting memories for the whole family.

Kids in particular love the excitement of a camping holiday and now you can go camping or glamping in style.

Safari tents have all the mod cons of lodge holidays but with the rustic yet luxurious style of a tent with a canvas roof!

These are still a relatively new idea and not many holiday parks yet offer this type of accommodation but we have tracked down a few of our favourites around the UK.  Personally, we can’t wait to try these out for ourselves!

With its unique location and vast estate, Longleat has plenty of access to neighbouring towns and cities. Pair your safari adventure with a quick stroll along the ancient streets of Bath. For an authentic rural retreat, holidaymakers and glampers will find their next home from home within the town of Bradford-on-Avon. And if you simply want to get lost in the pretty countryside, then Shaftesbury is the place to be. For your next stay in Longleat, take a pick from some of the best holiday destinations:

Bath is a city located in the southwestern region of Somerset. The city itself is built around the Avon Canal and is surrounded by limestone hills from Mendip Hills and the Cotswolds. Due to its stunning landscape and incredible heritage, Bath is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s also the largest settlement in the county, receiving millions of visitors every year.

The city of Bath is famous for many things including its Georgian architecture and Roman-built baths. The latter is located at the heart of the city and within close distance to the historical Bath Abbey. On the other hand, its Georgian style is very much evident through the city’s exteriors and is represented through buildings like the Royal Crescent and the Circus. Bath is also closely associated with the famous writer, Jane Austen.

Bradford-on-Avon

Bradford-on-Avon is a picturesque town within the borders of Wiltshire. The town is dominated by valleys and hillsides with the River Avon connecting it to the city of Bath. Although generally smaller than its neighbours, the town is rich in history with ruins dating back to Roman times. Holidaymakers also frequent the area for its charming architecture and idyllic atmosphere.

The town is best known for its heritage sites including the Tithe Barn, which is believed to be the biggest medieval barn in England. It’s also synonymous with the Town Bridge. This bridge is the most iconic structure of Bradford-on-Avon featuring nine arches and a small domed chapel. The trek up St. Margaret’s Hill is also a favourite trail among holidaymakers who want a panoramic view of the town’s countryside.

Shaftesbury

Shaftesbury is a town located in Dorset and is known for its hilly streets and sprawling farmlands. With its beautiful landscapes and charming homes, it’s considered one of the prettiest towns in the county. Like many rural towns, Shaftesbury has a deep history with its fair share of age-old ruins. This includes Shaftesbury Abbey, a nunnery that was believed to have been established in 888. Another worthy structure is St. Peter’s Church, a Grade-II listed building that is now being used as the town hall.

While most tourists would associate the town as a holiday destination, the rest of Britain knows Shaftesbury from the “Hovis” commercial. The famous commercial was filmed in Gold Hill, one of the town’s hilltop areas and featured a young boy riding his bicycle with a loaf of bread in his basket. It was an extremely popular advert during the 1970s and drove tourism up for this quiet little town. That’s not all though – Shaftesbury also has fascinating museums, lovely outdoor parks, and gorgeous gardens boasting its own flower called “Shaftesbury Snowdrops.”

I’m Rachel, and I’ve spent my whole life on farms and surrounded by nature, with the last 20 years of those having been here at Ewelme Down Farm. Despite this, I love life’s little luxuries; a bottle of bubbly, a soak in the hot tub, and a cosy fireplace are some of my favourite things.

I wanted to create somewhere that was comfy, cosy, and relaxing but still embraced the beauty of being immersed in the glorious English countryside – and so The Chilterns View was born.

With each lodge set in its own secluded spot, offering uninterrupted views of the majestic Chiltern Hills, I hope that my guests will fall in love with the area as much as I did.

Completely redesigned for 2022, our Glamping Safari Lodge offers the ultimate in comfort and tranquility, with a sense of adventure.

Whether staying as a couple, or opting to add two more guests in the Safari Lodge Annex, we are sure that you will find staying in our new lodge a real home from home.

Spend your evenings on the decked area with stunning views overlooking the beautiful Kent Countryside.

While you relax in the complimentary, secluded hot tub set up for your exclusive use during your stay &  admire the sunning views,   lounge  in the roll top slipper bath or snuggle up in the superking sized bed with a good book – A stay in The Safari Lodge will help you to escape for a few days and completely reset.

Please note that as an adult only retreat site and in common with our other parts of the site, the Safari lodge is not an appropriate space for children.

Eat in style

This season we have added a kitchenette into our Safari Lodge with sink, induction hob with utilities, toaster, fridge, freezer compartment and kettle – so even on those rainy days you can hole up inside and enjoy the finer things in life.

There is also an undercover area next to the the fire pit so you can sit outside – and a gas fired Bbq is located there for your exclusive use.

Lit by fairy lights it’s a magical space to while away the evening.

Repurposed for a purpose

We have upcycled materials as much as possible in the design of this lodge, using old scaffold boards and by repurposing fittings and furniture – even putting a lovely slipper bath back into service!

Strong site wide wifi allows you to stay in touch when you need to, but we hope that you will be so relaxed and inspired by sitting over our pond along with the spectacular views beyond that you’ll decide not to bother.

En suite facilities are a new feature here, and add to the convenience and luxury on offer.

There is a large fire pit around which you can sit, or a chiminea on the deck for when you need to stay under cover.

Add to the free use of the hot tub  and we believe you will have all you need for a memorable stay.
