The 35 Best Taylor Swift Outfits from the Red Era — Like, Ever

Getty Images

Dissecting the many stages of Taylor Swift ’s music — and corresponding style — has become an international pastime, especially during the run of her Eras tour. And a perpetual fan favorite? Her Red era. To refresh your memory: The Red album was released on October 22, 2012, and the corresponding Red tour ran from March 2013 to June 2014. Of course, we were treated to a part two when her re-recorded Red (Taylor’s Version) came out on November 12, 2021.

Not only was Red a groundbreaking moment in Swift’s musical transition from country star to pop star, it was also a pivotal time in her style evolution. Swift was 22 when the album came out (and famously wrote a song about the formative age), and she started to leave behind some of the styles of the teenage years when she first became famous. She traded flowing curls for blunt bangs and princessy gowns for high-waisted short-shorts and edgier hats, and naturally, wore so much bright red — clothing and lipstick both.

One of her most enduring songs of the era, “All Too Well” clearly detailed a relationship that took place in the fall, and so lots of cozy sweaters, plaid patterns, and of course, scarves, also featured prominently in her everyday wardrobe during these years.

Now, as fans are recreating Red looks for the Eras tour, they’re wearing black and white blouses (an homage to the Red cover art), recreations of the notorious “Not a Lot Going on at the Moment” T-shirt from her “22” video, and crimson shorts with sparkly tops. We found all those looks and more when we took a look back at 35 of the best outfits Swift wore during that original Red Era, from casual nights out with friends to major red carpets to her official tour wardrobe.

A Plaid Scarf

NCP/Star Max/FilmMagic

A scarf was the defining accessory of Red , and Taylor wore them a lot in this phase. When she stepped out in N.Y.C. on this day, she wrapped a plaid one over a warm brown coat and knit tights.

A Cozy Coffee

We all know the infamous maple lattes that were integral to the era, so it’s not a surprise to see a Starbucks cup here, along with a cozy beanie and a velvety jacket.

Horizontal Stripes

Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

Stripes and skinny jeans were style staples at this point in Taylor’s life (and fashion generally) — as was hanging out with pal Selena Gomez.

Sparkly Top and Shorts

 Kevin Mazur/WireImage

The super-sparkly top and high-waisted shorts combination was an oft-repeated performance outfit during this time period. Hat optional but highly encouraged.

Brian Killian/WireImage

See? Keep that sparkly top, swap the black shorts for red, and bam! Another perfect Red stage look.

Glittery Oxfords

Juan Naharro Gimenez/Getty Images

Yet another variation of the sparkly shirt and shorts combo for an offstage moment — and note the lace-up oxfords, a signature Taylor shoe of the era, in a special glittering version.

A Basic Black Tee

JB Lacroix/WireImage

More skinnies, more red lipstick — hey, if it ain’t broke! Skinny jeans might not be in their era at the moment, but you have to admit this outfit is a classic.

Isaac Brekken/Getty Images for Clear Channel

Another outfit formula for this phase? Red lip, matching dress, and nude heels. This lace version was particularly sweet.

A Dotty Sweater

Will/GC Images

Again, we see that classic red, white, and black color combination Taylor favored in those days. As a switch-up for stripes, she incorporated polka dots into this look.

Golden Glam

Mario Magnani/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

When Taylor hit red carpets or other formal events in this era, she leaned towards ultra feminine, neutral dresses and gowns — this white coat and shimmery dress are a great example.

A Pleated Skirt

TOE/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

The typical red shirt gets a schoolgirl touch with a gray pleated skirt.

Yellow Florals

DISCIULLO/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

This yellow dress and sweater outfit stepped outside the usual red color palette, but stuck with Taylor’s favorite feminine silhouette of fitted waists and full skirts.

An Oversized White Shirt

Spotted: several over those Red staples, including a white blouse, a dark red bowler hat, and lace-up shoes.

A Sweet Lace Dress

Ed Rode/FilmMagic

Another neutral red carpet look, this time with a full-skirted lace dress—and a rare nude lip to match.

A Flowy Gown

Caroline McCredie/Getty Images

This cream-colored gown she wore to the Aria awards was a much softer, flowing silhouette than some of her other red carpet dresses — and it’s also one of the prettiest.

A Cozy Coat — and Famous Date

David Krieger/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

This relationship would (allegedly) fuel much of her next album 1989 , but the autumnal outfit Taylor wore in Central Park with Harry Styles was pure Red Era.

A Striped Dress

Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage

This dress could truly never go out of style — black pumps and a striped dress in a classic cut.

Circus Ringleader

DANIEL ROLAND/AFP via Getty Images

In performances and on tour promoting the album, Taylor often sported this circus ringleader ensemble.

A Deco Gown

Ian West/PA Images via Getty Images

Another neutral gown on the red carpet, this one with Deco-inspired diamond patterns (and a rare nude lip!).

James Devaney/WireImage

Taylor looked sleek and chic in this all-black ensemble, but naturally, added a pop of color with her signature lip.

A Beaded Red Gown

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

For the 2012 CMAs, Taylor opted for a neutral gown with red beading that stayed true to her color palette, but upped the elegance factor.

Fedora-Topped

FOX Image Collection via Getty Images

Another hat, another white blouse, another pair of sparkly shoes… and you see what she did with the microphone there? Clever gal.

A Gold Mini

 Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Taylor went full bombshell at the 2013 AMAs, with a gold minidress that was one of her more daring looks of the Red Era.

rune hellestad/Corbis via Getty Images

This has to be that “red lip classic thing that you like” she would write about soon thereafter, don’t you think?

Plaid Pants

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

She may have immortalized the phrase “plaid shirt days” but plaid pants worked too. This cozy buckled sweater completed this warm look for an outdoor performance.

Gown and Gloves

Christopher Polk/TAS/Getty Images for TAS

Possibly the most literal of her Red tour costumes, this gown with full length gloves goes all in on her signature color.

Black Short Shorts

Taylor remixed her go-tos with this tour look, wearing leather shorts, a lace top, fedora, and red oxfords.

Stripes and Red

You already know what’s black, white, and red all over. (It’s Taylor for most of 2013.)

Heart T-Shirt

Taylor wore this shirt proclaiming her love of L.A. while performing there — a precursor to the infamous “I Heart T.S.” shirt of the brief Tom Hiddleston days?

Adam Taylor/Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images

A jaunty little twist on the tried-and-true stage shorts combo: Taylor added polka dots and a red bow tie into the equation.

A Chiffon Gown

Dominic Lipinski - WPA Pool/Getty Images

Taylor opted for this super pretty Reem Acra gown to hang out with Prince William (remember?!).

Raymond Hall/GC Images

How cozy does Taylor look in this covetable cropped camel coat and fingerless gloves?

Major Sparkle

Kevin Kane/FilmMagic

Taylor turned up the shine to an epic level to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, where she performed while the models walked the runway.

A White Suit

This 2012 VMAs red carpet look was quite a departure from her typical style at the time, but it was a great one — and seemingly set the tone for some of the more fashion-forward and daring looks she’d try in later years.

A Lingerie-Inspired Gown

Frank Trapper/Corbis via Getty Images

For the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, Taylor wore one of her sultrier red carpet looks: this lingerie inspired, lacy chiffon gown in — surprise! — red.

Taylor Swift has some incredible Eras Tour outfits

Who designs Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour outfits?

Taylor has been bringing out the big guns for her global tour. Notable designers include Fausto Puglisi who heads up Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli. Fausto describes himself  as a Sicilian maverick. He designed 12 of the looks from Taylor’s Eras shows, including the skintight snake catsuit from the Reputation era, and the gold-fringed minidress from her Fearless era.

And Taylor isn’t the only superstar he has dressed – J-Lo and Zendaya have also had the honour. He also designed the cape that Madonna wore on her Madame X album.

Another designer that has been tapped by Taylor for her stage costumes is Donatella Versace. The legendary designer was the mastermind behind Taylor’s bejewelled bodysuits that feature in the Lover section of her shows.

And rounding off the Lover looks are a pair of custom-made, jewel-encrusted, knee-high boots from none other than Christian Louboutin. With their signature red soles, Louboutins are the footwear of choice for the rich, famous and impeccably dressed.

Italian dressmaker Alberta Ferretti also has a starring role on the Eras Tour. Her ethereal and dreamy gowns complements the Folklore section of Taylor’s shows completely.

Taylor has also selected a number of lesser-known names to wear alongside fashion powerhouses like Oscar de la Renta and Ellie Saab. Indie designer Anish Gupta created the sequin slogan T-shirts emblazoned with her iconic lyrics “WE ARE NEVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER, LIKE EVER”

And with that impressive list of designers, we couldn't resist the urge to round up all the Eras Tour stage ensembles she's worn so far, check out all the Taylor tour looks (as well as her newest additions)...

Taylor brings the Speak Now's fairytale vibes to The Eras Tour

She honoured 'Speak Now (Taylor's Version)' with a new purple dress

The gowns are strikingly similar to the Valentino one she wore during the 'Speak Now' tour back in 2012.

Taylor's Midnights outfits end the show with a bang

Taylor channelled 'Lavender Haze'

100+ Taylor Swift Eras Tour Outfit Ideas + What to Wear to A Taylor Swift Concert!

Updated: Jan 17

red tour outfits taylor

It's been a long time coming but.... it's been a crazy few years for miss Taylor Swift. She's dropped hint after hint, easter egg after easter egg, song after song, music video after music video!! She's truly a great entertainer and artist, and genuinely one of my favorite musicians to fangirl over.

I got tickets to Taylor Swift's Era's tour, and am trying to decide what era I should go as. . I can't wait to see what Taylor Swift's concert outfits are for this tour!

What do I wear to a Taylor Swift concert? Especially to the Eras tour?

Attendees are planning to wear outfits inspired by their favorite Taylor Swift era. There are ten eras total: Taylor Swift (Self-Titled), Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights. Each era has its own vibe, color aesthetic, and specific pieces Taylor wore during those periods. For example, Reputation is an absolute classic, with snake print, black leather, and tons of sass. Or maybe the Red era? I mean, that one IS my favorite Taylor Swift album. Come as a sad autumn girl with a red scarf, black high-waisted shorts and oxfords— that's definitely a vibe.

But as I was thinking through this, I thought maybe I could make mood boards and help others find the perfect Taylor Swift outfits from amazon to wear to Taylor Swift's concert on her The Eras Tour! I assure you, while putting this list together, with each era I worked on I listened to the album ;) Guaranteed inspiration!

Because of each stadium's bag policy, concert-goers need to bring a clear see-through bag to the venue. Here are a few realyl cute ones I've found. The first is pretty simple, but you can find clear bags that are really stylized to fit your eras tour outfit!

I'm also seeing a lot of people at Taylor Swift's concerts wearing body glitter and hair gems! Here are some options online that are great for doing glitzy hair and makeup the day of the Eras tour concert. The hair gem style has been SUPER popular, and you'll find a lot of other gals at the tour that are rocking similar!

To start off, here are a few pieces that would be good for any of her eras. Concert attendees are wearing "Friendship Bracelets" (a nod to the song You're On Your Own Kid), and the era's charm bracelet as well, which are both available on Amazon!

Jump to Each Taylor Swift Era

If you click on each link, it'll jump to each era and has Taylor Swift eras tour outfit ideas for each. I'll even include items you can buy that fit into each outfit!

Taylor Swift Self-Titled Album

Taylor Swift Debut Era

T-Swift's self-titled album is a classic, with songs like "Picture to Burn", "Stay Beautiful", and "Should've Said No". With so many Taylor Swift album era options, this one will surely stand out and be super identifiable.

Taylor Swift's debut album is a whimsical journey through the enchanting world of teenage dreams and heartaches. Bursting with charm and a sprinkle of country sweetness, the album encapsulates the essence of Taylor's early years as a rising star. The aesthetic is like a vintage photo album, filled with snapshots of innocent crushes, teardrop-stained diaries, and the magic of first loves. The vibe is undeniably cute, as Taylor's relatable lyrics and catchy melodies transport you to a world where love letters are written in glittery pens, and every emotion is felt with an extra touch of sparkle. It's a musical hug from the past that leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling and a desire to dance around your room like no one's watching.

How to dress in Taylor Swift (Self-Titled) era outfits

When you want to dress like the self-titled Taylor Swift album, you've got to transport yourself back to good ol' 2006! That means low rise flare jeans, floral dresses, and plenty of cowgirl boots. Taylor's look back then involved more soft, butterfly-like looks that harken back to her country roots.

The Taylor Swift Debut vibe: Teals, greens, butterfly, cowgirl, floral, low rise jeans, and flannels.

Where to find these Taylor Swift (Debut Album) outfits:

Moving onto Taylor Swift's sophomore album, Fearless...

Taylor Swift Fearless Albums Taylor's version

Fearless Era (Plus Taylor's Version)

Fearless is when Taylor Swift really started to gain speed in the music industry, and the era evokes an true nostalgia for the early Tay years!

Taylor Swift's "Fearless" album, both the original and Taylor's version, exude a timeless charm that feels like a musical hug from a dear friend. The aesthetic is a blend of sunlit fields and starlit nights, capturing the essence of young love and fearless adventures. With a dash of country twang and a sprinkle of pop magic, the album's vibe is irresistibly cute, much like a handwritten love letter sealed with a kiss. Taylor's reimagined version adds an extra layer of nostalgia, like finding a cherished childhood toy in the attic. It's a journey back to a place where heartbreaks were mended with laughter, and every melody carried the promise of a new beginning. The vibe is like a cozy sweater, warm and comforting, inviting you to relive those moments and create new memories with the same wide-eyed wonder.

She loves sparkly dresses. Always has, always will. But this was the first era to REALLY bring that to the forefront. Soft whimsical touches, earthy kind of feelings, with a little bit of edginess.

The Taylor Swift Fearless vibe: Golds, sparkly dresses, fairy-tale fluff, elastic headbands, cowgirl boots, and boho.

Where to find these outfits:

Next up is Taylor Swift's third album, Speak Now! You can get inspired by the original Speak Now era, or the new Taylor's Version.

Taylor Swift speak now album era

Speak Now Era

A fairytale in a nutshell, Speak Now era is like a sparkly purple dream.

Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" album is a whimsical fairy tale spun with the threads of love, courage, and a sprinkle of daydream magic. The aesthetic is like a storybook come to life, filled with enchanted forests and castle walls where Taylor fearlessly takes center stage. The vibe is both daring and adorable, as if each song were a secret whispered in a moonlit garden. With a blend of country roots and pop melodies, the album dances through the pages of a romantic novel, where every chorus is a chapter and every bridge a thrilling plot twist. It's a musical adventure that invites you to join Taylor in a world where love conquers all, and each note is a charming invitation to step into a dreamscape where happily ever afters are set to a delightful melody.

How to dress in Taylor Swift Speak Now era outfits

I tapped into a few iconic Taylor Swift outfits from the Speak Now era, which welcomed in her love for oxfords, vintage pieces, and an overall romantic take on everything. Finding the perfect halter purple dress from Speak Now era is ESSENTIAL. I've added the one I found below!

The Taylor Swift Speak Now vibe: Purple EVERYTHING, the number 13, slouchy beanies, flannels, twee Oxford heels, whimsical dresses, and revenge. Lots of revenge.

Here are some more modern versions of the Speak Now era (now with Taylor's Version!!)

Next is my FAVORITE era, the RED era!

Taylor Swift red album era

Red Era (Plus Taylor's Version)

Arguably the best Taylor Swift album, hands down. RED is my personal favorite from her discography, mostly because this is the era where I because a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, rather than just a casual listener. All of the raw pain and anguish in this album make this era (and the TV era!) probably what I'm going to choose for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour!

Taylor Swift's RED era is a sartorial symphony of passion and bold statements. The clothing aesthetic is a captivating blend of vintage glamour and modern sophistication, reflecting the album's emotional rollercoaster. Taylor dons iconic red dresses that symbolize both heartbreak and empowerment, showcasing her fearless style evolution. Picture timeless silhouettes, chic high-waisted shorts, and classic red lips that become a signature touch. The vibe is a mix of retro vibes and contemporary chic, with Taylor effortlessly balancing elegance and edge. From the glitzy red-carpet gowns to the laid-back yet stylish streetwear, every outfit in the RED era tells a story of self-discovery and resilience. It's a fashion journey that captures the essence of love, loss, and the vibrant hues of a life lived unapologetically.

Taylor Swift RED era outfit ideas

How to dress in Taylor Swift RED era outfits

This era probably has some of the most iconic fashion moments of Taylor Swift's career. The Taylor Swift red tour outfits were amazing. The "We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together" and "22" looks just scream 2012! Now ten years later in 2022, this style is still just as amazing and showstoppping... and iconically RED . Try to find a good striped shirt and some tailored high waisted shorts, and add a pair of red Keds to complete the look!

The Taylor Swift RED vibe: The color red (bright, like the original, or deep, like Taylor's Version), spectator Oxford shoes, heart sunglasses, fedora hats, high wasted shorts, and KEDS.

The "Not a lot going on at the moment" shirt is a classic for sure. You can buy it below. Also, with Taylor's new tour, she has a shirt that says "A LOT going on at the moment" too, which is featured here where I have some outfit ideas that are inspired by her concert looks from this Eras era!

During the show, Taylor gives her fedora-type hat to someone special in the audience. You can match her by wearing a black hat from her RED era!

From the RED Taylor's Version album cover, don a trench coat and a burnt Sienna newsboy cap, and the autumn leaves start to fall like pieces into place for your Taylor Swift concert outfit.

I Bet You Think About Me - Taylor Swift concert outfit idea

Something from RED Taylor's Version that is an instant showstopper: the I Bet You Think About Me outfit!

Here's where you can grab it:

Onto many people's favorite -- 1989!! This is the most recent Taylor's Version to come out. "1899 (Taylor's Version)" is not just an album; it's a captivating invitation to step into a lyrical ballroom where each song is a dance through time, and Taylor is the enchanting guide, gracefully leading us through the echoes of a century past.

Taylor Swift 1989 album era

A HUGE era for Taylor, commercially and her tour! She has so many fun and glitzy looks from this 1989 era. I pulled some Taylor Swift tour costumes from amazon that will make people double-take.... wait, is that Taylor Swift?? No? Shake it off!

Taylor Swift 1989 era outfit ideas

How to dress in Taylor Swift 1989 era outfits

Be sure to wear plenty of sequins, shiny fabrics, and two-piece outfits for a true 1989 era look from Taylor Swift! Add on the quintessential white rayon-type sunglasses to look like a true 1989 fan.

The Taylor Swift 1989 vibe: Sequins! Lots of blues and silver sparkles, crop tops, white rayon sunglasses, and sparkly fringe.

One of these outfits is a callback to Taylor's look at the 2016 Grammy Awards. I think it's such a unique outfit to wear to the Era's tour, because it's not exactly a "era" look, but something SO iconic from that era! Also, can you GET more 1989 than a pair of white rayon sunglasses? They were a staple piece in Taylor Swift's 1989 era.

A callback to a Swift inside joke, the yellow "No It's Becky" shirt is available on amazon!

Seagulls everywhere, on everything. With the new 1989 Taylor's Version coming out, the coastal pale blue vibe is going to be a good choice.

If you want to be a little silly, you could come literally dressed like a seagull:

Reputation Era

This era is the most similar to my own personal style, so when I attended the Rep tour, I was living my best life!! All her songs have a pop edge to them, so make sure to dress accordingly.

Wear as much snake print, black, fishnet, and combat-wear you can find. The more you look like a hell-raiser, the better for Taylor Swift reputation outfits. I've added in a few cool amazon t-shirts in here as well from the era!

The Taylor Swift Reputation vibe: Snake print, black sequins, camouflage print, chains, combat boots, and slicked back hair.

Much like her album cover, you can find a newspaper Reputation dress below!

Taylor swift lover album era

Lover was all bright pink and multicolored, and it was AMAZING. The fun songs (and some deep love songs) created an incredible album from Taylor Swift.

Pink, lots of pink. Actually, all pink. Just kidding! I put together some outfit ideas that are inspired by some of her performance looks and music video outfits from the Lover era.

The Taylor Swift Lover vibe: Lots of pink, multicolor, fringe, pearls, iridescence, hearts, and sweetness all around.

Grab a hot pink jacket and pearl sunglasses to look like Taylor from "You Need to Calm Down"! Choosing to wear a pastel sky print is such a Lover look, similar to her album cover!

Check out these gorgeous Lover-esque earrings and accessories:

Just like in the "ME!" music video, you can wear a heart shaped top like Taylor for the concert.

If you're wanting to dress up as Taylor's Lover era, it's a sweet detail to do the heart shape makeup over her eye like she does on her album cover! In order to do that, you'll need two main items: liquid latex and skin-safe pink glitter. You can find them here:

I've used the liquid latex above before and it works really well. All you'll need to do is outline the heart around your eye with the liquid latex, wait for it to get tacky, and then apply the pink glitter!

Taylor swift Folklore album era

Folklore Era

If you aren't the sparkly-dress Taylor Swift fan, and want to be a sad cottage-core girl, here is your chance! This album screams alone-in-the-woods-and-in-the-feels.

How to dress in Taylor Swift Folklore era outfits

Tap into the cottage-core look and opt for some comfy sweaters, cardigans, and ditsy floral prints. I've grabbed a few items that look similar to the outfits she wore on some of her photoshoots from this era.

The Taylor Swift folklore vibe: Knit sweaters, plaid jackets, chunky boots, mushrooms, trees and a general folksy vibe.

Taylor Swift evermore album era

Evermore Era

Am I crazy to say that Evermore is one of my favorite TSwift albums? It's definitely the most forgotten one, but WOW does it have some bops, both sad and lovely.

Taylor Swift evermore era outfit ideas

How to dress in Taylor Swift Evermore era outfits

This era was so short-lived, but it gave us some beautiful looks! An easy go-to would be the brown/orange plaid jacket from Evermore. (I've linked on similar) Also, the Willow music video is a huge inspiration for these, and other Swifties will know exactly what you're going for!

The Taylor Swift evermore vibe: Deep plaids, ethereal jewelry, greens, leather boots, turtlenecks, and flown dresses.

From the "Willow" music video, you can choose a more whimsical and fairy-like look to fit in with the Evermore era! Below you can also find a dark green velvet cape like she wears during her Evermore set at the Eras Tour!

Taylor Swift Midnights album era

Midnights Era

Midnights only came out a few weeks ago while I'm writing this, so I'm still reeling from this album release! I know from the second I hear "Anti-Hero" that it would be an instant classic.

Taylor Swift Midnights era outfit ideas

How to dress in Taylor Swift Midnights era outfits

When it comes to the looks from Midnights era, they span from glitzy blue midnight dresses and plenty of sparkles, mixed with vintage looks that evoke a sense of 70s retro. Combining these all together will be the ultimate Midnights tour outfit!

The Taylor Swift Midnights vibe: Honestly, Taylor's Midnights aesthetic is all over the place, but can be boiled down to: 70s vintage, starry night, retro, oranges, blues, lavender, clocks, and anything, and I mean anything that is bejeweled.

Inspired by her 70's glam looks in much of the material for the release of her album midnights, you can don some burnt orange and corduroy and fit in well! The top and fur jacket look similar to the starry dress Taylor wore out when she was promoting "Midnights". For a more casual "Midnights" look, you can wear this sheer celestial top as well. Check out some of these that also scream "Lavender Haze"!

Where're ya going? You going out tonight? ;)

You can find a corset similar to Taylor's from her "Bejeweled" music video!

Taylor Swift's Stage Outfits

If you want to come to the concert the MOST prepared, you can dress like the current Era: the Eras era! Pretty meta, right? Here are some of the outfits that Taylor's been wearing on her tour that you can recreate in your concert outfit:

Stage outfit 1— Midnights era Lavender Haze jacket

Taylor wears a pink/lavender sparkly dress with a fun faux-fur lavender coat. You can find a super sparkly dress and add a lavender faux fur coat, and look just like Taylor!

Stage outfit 2— Evermore era pink dress

Taylor's whimsical pink dress during her Evermore era is GORGEOUS. Play up your own ethereal vibe and wear a similar dress to the Eras tour!

Stage outfit 3— Reputation era jumpsuit

Taylor wears this awesome one-legged jumpsuit with red snakes all over it. You can buy a black sparkly jumpsuit and attach red snake appliqués to create a look similar to it.

Stage outfit 4— Sparkly RED era jacket

The RED era (my favorite!) has Taylor donning a long red sparkle trench coat. You can look similar to this in either this red velvet long trench I've found, or a men's sparkly suit jacket!

red tour outfits taylor

Stage outfit 5— "A LOT Going On At The Moment" shirt

She's reinvented her own RED era look with a shirt that instead of saying "Not a lot going on at the moment" it says "A LOT going on at the moment"! I've found a shirt that says exactly that new phrase on Amazon. Taylor also pairs it with a pair of sparkly black bottoms and a black hat.

Stage outfit 6— 1989 era green two piece

A very Taylor typical outfit, more sparkles! And this time we're working with fun and bright green. She has a sparkle fringed two piece set on stage.

Such cute outfits and a big help

Amazing! It really lifts my spirits that I've helped other Swifties find a good outfit for the Era tour. I hope your concert is epic!

This was so helpful I got so many compliments on my outfit

Yay!!!! I'm so, so glad this helped, it makes me so happy. I'm excited for my tour stop (Pittsburg!) to show off my Taylor Swift era outfit; I'm going with Red.

This is an amazing resource! I’m still looking for Red inspo. Do you have any pant/shirt ideas? I’m not into dresses that much.

Thank you so much! If I find anything worth sharing, I’ll put the links down here.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Outfits, from Her Versace Bodysuit to Her Roberto Cavalli Dress

Taylor Swift is channeling looks from her past 10 albums on her Eras Tour. Take a look at her best outfits, including custom pieces from Versace, Roberto Cavalli and more

red tour outfits taylor

Taylor Swift is proving she never goes out of "style" with her recent tour.

On March 17, the singer returned to the stage as she kicked off her highly anticipated Eras Tour . From show-stopping performances to creative transitions , the 3-hour and 13-minute set is a true spectacle but one of the best parts is Swift's stunning costumes.

As Swift takes fans through her extensive music catalog with her 44-song setlist , she perfectly pays tribute to her past 10 albums with custom outfits.

While some pieces are inspired by her different eras (the dazzling Versace bodysuit during the opener encapsulates her Lover aesthetic), other looks are direct references to past tours, including her Roberto Cavalli two-piece for her 1989 set and Nicole + Felicia gown for Speak Now .

Take a look at Swift's Eras Tour outfits ahead.

Taylor Swift's Atelier Versace bodysuit for her Lover set

As Swift opened the show with "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince" from Lover , she wore a custom Atelier Versace bodysuit adorned in pink and blue jewels, reflecting the dreamy pink and blue skies featured on the album's artwork. She paired the look with silver Christian Louboutin knee-high boots and a bedazzled microphone. During her Las Vegas show on March 24, Swift added a flower necklace by Versace to the ensemble.

During her second night of the tour, Swift surprised fans by wearing a completely different sparkling bodysuit. This look, also by Atelier Versace, was covered in blue and gold jewels, with a matching chain necklace and Christian Louboutin knee-high boots.

During her New Jersey show, Swift wore a new bodysuit by Versace, which included fringe tassels and beading. She paired the look with ombré boots and a Versace butterfly necklace, which was a co-design collaboration with Versace ambassador Dua Lipa.

Taylor Swift's Versace blazer for her Lover set

Before singing her hit song " The Man ," Swift completely transformed her look by adding a Versace blazer that complemented her Christian Louboutin knee-high boots.

Taylor Swift's black blazer for her Lover set

In addition to wearing a different Atelier Versace bodysuit during the second night of her tour, Swift also switched up during her performance of "The Man" by wearing a black pinstripe blazer with sequins.

Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli dress for her Fearless set

Swift donned her best dress by Roberto Cavalli as she performed a few songs from her album Fearless . The gold fringe dress was reminiscent of a similar look the designer created for her Speak Now Tour in 2011. She paired the look with Christian Louboutin boots and a bedazzled guitar .

For the second night of the tour, Swift donned a different Roberto Cavalli dress, which was slightly longer and featured gold and silver sequins in an ombré pattern.

Taylor Swift's Etro dress for her Evermore set

Swift went for a whimsical look as she performed various songs from her album Evermore in a yellow Etro dress that featured a corset top and beading detail down the front. For her bewitching performance of "Willow" she added a matching Etro cape.

During her New Jersey concert, Swift wore a new dress for her Evermore set, which was created by Marco de Vincenzo for Etro. This dress played into the woodsy nature of the Evermore album with a darker burgundy color and ruffles throughout.

Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli catsuit for her Reputation set

Swift slithered into a Roberto Cavalli catsuit as she performed her Reputation set on stage. The outfit, which featured an intricate pattern resembling snakes intertwined down the one long leg of the ensemble, was reminiscent of the many bodysuits Swift wore during her Reputation Stadium Tour as it was covered in black sequins resembling scales.

Taylor Swift's Nicole + Felicia gown for her Speak Now set

Despite only performing one song during her Speak Now set, Swift nonetheless left fans wonderstruck as she donned a Nicole + Felicia gown for her performance of "Enchanted." The gold gown certainly felt like a homage to Swift's Valentino ballgown from her Speak Now Tour.

Taylor Swift's Zuhair Murad gown for her Speak Now set

During night two, Swift looked like a real-life princess as she wore a Zuhair Murad ballgown , this time in a pink hue that popped against the stage's violet lighting.

Taylor Swift's Elie Saab ballgown for her Speak Now set

During the first night of her Tampa concert, Swift wore a new dress for her Speak Now set, dressing up in an Elie Saab Haute Couture silk tulle ballgown embroidered with gardenia-colored organza petals.

In New Jersey, wore another Elie Saab ballgown in a pale pink. The dress also featured lots of tulle and detailing on the front.

During her Speak Now release weekend, Swift debuted another dress for her Speak Now set, wearing a custom Nicole + Felicia gown. The dress featured multiple layers, with varying colors of purple as a tribute to her third album.

Just before announcing 1989 (Taylor's Version) on Aug. 9, Swift donned a blue dress by Nicole + Felicia during her Speak Now set. She continued to wear different blue outfits throughout the concert.

Taylor Swift's Ashish shirt for her Red set

At the beginning of her Red set, Swift recreated her iconic look from her "22" music video, in which she wears a shirt that reads "Not a lot going on at the moment" with a fedora and shorts. For the concert, she made one critical change, dropping the "not" from the T-shirt slogan. The shirt was custom by Ashish paired with Christian Louboutin loafers and a Gladys Tamez hat.

Swift recreated her "22" music video outfit again for night two, thought this time the shirt featured a lyric from the song: "Who's Taylor Swift anyway? Ew."

While performing in Arlington, Texas, Swift wore another version of her "22" shirt, this time with the text "We are never getting back together. Like ever."

Taylor Swift's Ashish romper for her Red set

As Swift moved on to other songs on her Red album, including "I Knew You Were Trouble," she took off her "22" inspired shirt and hat to reveal a sequin Ashish romper in red and black.

Taylor Swift's Ashish coat for her Red set

Swift threw on an Ashish coat over her romper as she performed her 10-minute version of "All Too Well" on stage with a coordinating red guitar.

Taylor Swift's Alberta Ferretti dress for her Folklore set

Swift was back in boho for songs from Folklore , in a flowing lilac Alberta Ferretti gown similar to the dress she wore during her 2021 Grammys performance . She even brought back the Folklore house for the performance.

During night two, Swift wore another Alberta Ferretti dress, this time in an off-white hue covered in crystal embroidery. The gown's flowing, cape-like sleeves were made for twirling.

For her March 24 show in Las Vegas, Swift debuted a third Alberta Ferretti dress as she performed her Folklore set. This dress combined various features from her previous two dresses, with a soft pink hue, cape-like sleeves and sequin details throughout.

During night one in Tampa, Swift wore yet another Alberta Ferretti dress for her Folklore set. This look was in bright green featuring a plunging neckline, mesh detailing and leaves embroideries.

Swift wore a new Alberta Ferretti gown for her Folklore set on Aug. 9, just before announcing 1989 (Taylor's Version) .

Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli top and skirt for her 1989 set

Swift recreated one of her memorable 1989 World Tour outfits as she wore a matching Roberto Cavalli top and skirt. The pink set was perfectly paired with dazzling Christian Louboutin boots.

On night two, the star stepped out in a similar beaded matching set by the brand, but this time in a vivid green shade that continued onto her Christian Louboutin boots.

As she performed her 1989 songs, Swift opted for an orange Roberto Cavalli two-piece set with matching Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's blue top and skirt for her 1989 set

As she performed her 1989 songs, Swift wore a new variation of her top and skirt set, this time in a striking blue color.

Taylor Swift's Jessica Jones dress for her acoustic set

As Swift performed a few acoustic songs during night one, including "Tim McGraw" from her debut album, she donned a Jessica Jones dress that featured cap sleeves and pleats. The designer has created many of Swift's most iconic looks, including numerous outfits from her Reputation stadium tour and her gold bodysuit at the 2019 American Music Awards when she accepted artist of the decade .

Taylor Swift's green dress for her acoustic set

Swift opted for a similar dress, this time in green, as she performed alongside Marcus Mumford for her acoustic set in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 25.

Taylor Swift's yellow dress for her acoustic set

Scott Eisen/TAS23/Getty

As Swift started wearing her orange Roberto Cavalli two-piece set with matching Christian Louboutin boots for her 1989 set, she began wearing a yellow dress on top of her outfit as she performed her acoustic set.

Taylor Swift's blue dress for her acoustic set

During the last leg of her U.S. tour, Swift donned a blue dress for the special announcement of 1989 (Taylor's Version) , which she debuted the album cover art for on stage. She followed up by playing the hit "New Romantics" from the album.

Taylor Swift's Oscar de la Renta t-shirt and jacket for her Midnights set

For the beginning of her Midnights set, Swift wore a similar look to the one seen in her "Lavender Haze" music video as she paired an Oscar de la Renta crystal t-shirt with an Oscar de la Renta faux fur coat.

Taylor Swift's Oscar de la Renta bodysuit for her Midnights set

As she performed "Midnight Rain," Swift did a quick costume change on stage as she took off her Oscar de la Renta t-shirt to reveal an Oscar de la Renta bodysuit. The outfit, which was in the perfect shade of (what else?) midnight blue, was bejeweled with various beading throughout giving it the appearance of a midnight sky. She paired the look with matching Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's Zuhair Murad bodysuit for her Midnights set

For her March 24 show in Las Vegas, Swift switched up her Midnights outfit with a custom look by Zuhair Murad. The midnight blue bodysuit was covered in blue crystals and beaded fringes and even had a matching garter.

During her Los Angeles shows, Swift debuted a new bodysuit by Zuhair Murad for her Midnights set, which was fittingly in midnight blue bodysuit and "adorned with shimmering crystal embellishments, cascading intricate beaded fringes, and accompanied by a coordinating garter," per Zuhair Murad's Instagram .

Taylor Swift Just Wore the Pretty Red Carpet Trend She Brings Back Every Winter

Erin Fitzpatrick

If you're anything like me, you've had Taylor Swift's new version of her Red album on repeat all day today. Of course, she's been busy this week on a promotional tour supporting the new release, which has included two late-night talk shows, a red carpet event , and rehearsals for her Saturday Night Live appearance.

One of my favorite looks so far has been her plum-colored velvet Etro suit that she styled with Alexandre Birman boots.  Velvet is a trend that Swift brings back every fall and winter without fail—can you blame her? Especially when worn in a beautiful gemstone color, it's just so perfectly festive and cozy for the season. Oh, and let's not forget about the stars of her short film: Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien, who also looked exceptionally cool on the red carpet. Taylor Swift's long-awaited Eras Tour has finally started and the singer is delivering on all fronts — from performance to vocals and, of course, fashion.

On opening weekend, Taylor Swift gave us plenty of whimsical, elegant, and nostalgic looks as we traveled with her through the eras of her career. She wore a handful of familiar styles, with slight tweaks to fit her current style, and gave us plenty of sparkle and shine. Throughout 15+ more stop stops (and counting), Taylor has given us even more memorable fashion moments.

If you are scouring the internet to find out where each look is from, fret not. Here's a look at all the looks Taylor Swift has from during her Eras Tour — from opening night in Glendale, Arizona, to some of her most recent shows in New Jersey and Chicago — and what you can expect to see her wear if you plan on attending one of the upcoming shows.

1. Lover era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

The first era is  Lover , a time that signified growth, comfort, and basking in the glow of the daylight. Taylor starts the night off in a  custom Versace bodysuit , bright and bold. She pairs it with an equally shiny pair of  custom, studded Louboutin boots . Night one's bodysuit was a playful, iridescent purple color, and she opted for a slightly more elegant, gold-colored one for the second night of the Eras tour kickoff weekend.

The shoes are sparkly, but they aren't really the star of the show until she puts on a blazer, also studded, and also Versace, and performs "The Man." The shoes instantly grabbed the spotlight as she kicked her heels up and flashed the red bottoms. This is the first of several pairs of custom Louboutins that Taylor wears throughout the night – they're the  sole footwear provider for the tour , just like during the  Reputation  tour.

At her show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the star debuted a new Versace bodysuit that sparkled even brighter than the original one she wore. There are brighter crystals, shining in purple, and extra details, like tassels down her thigh. She paired the new bodysuit with a pair of ombré bedazzled Versace heels, also in purple. Adorning her neck was the Versace Crystal Butterflies Chain Necklace to complete the look.

In a seamless transition to the era that sealed the deal for her as a stage performer and style icon, the  Fearless  era portion of the night brought back shimmery dresses made to move around. The boots stay on, but she trades out the sparkly bodysuit to dance in a storm in her best dress.

One of the big themes in her clothes throughout the night is fringe, which becomes an accessory to the singer as she moves around the stage and dances around singing her best hits. This  custom Roberto Cavalli dress  allows her to do just that, move around freely and shine bright.

On the second night of the tour, Taylor opted for fringe down the legs in  another Roberto Cavalli custom dress  embellished with Swarovski crystals. Again, the movements looked just as mesmerizing in this dress as the first night.

As the tour has continued, Taylor has debuted another equally stunning dress to embody the  Fearless era. The dress is similar to her custom Roberto Cavalli dress with fringe down her leg, but in silver.

3. Acoustic interlude

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

During the opening night, Taylor referenced her debut era playing her first-ever hit song, "Tim McGraw." This era falls into an acoustic set, where Taylor does one of her favorite things: She plays two surprise songs each night to give every fan a unique experience during the show they choose to attend.  The acoustic, slowed-down portion of the show gives the fans a breather, a time to connect with their favorite singer as she’s able to take a seat at the piano and chat with the crowd before she gives a surprise performance.

During this segment, she has so far worn a  Jessica Jones  dress with ruffles that hug her frame as she sits by the piano. The first night she wore a magenta-colored version of the dress. On night two, it was green. We first wondered if we'd see more colors as the tour continued and TSwift delivered. She’s also worn the stunning dress in a yellow shade as well.

4. evermore era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

Next up is  evermore  era, for which Taylor wears a simple but bright mustard dress from  Etro , also custom. To perform the songs from this quaint but grand era, the stage is set with trees along a foggy backdrop. The tone of the show shifts here. This is where Taylor gets to sit at the piano and commandeer the crowd with her lyrics. There is no need for fringe and sparkles as the crowd sings along at the top of their lungs to "champagne problems" to accompany her.

5. Reputation era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

During the  Reputation  tour, Taylor made a bold choice to abandon the pants and embrace the bodysuit. She brings that energy back to represent this era with one of the fiercest ones we've ever seen her in; an asymmetrical, show-stopping  black and red colored custom Roberto Cavalli one . As we've realized by now, nothing on this tour will be dull on the sparkle, and this number features sequins studded along the leg in that infamous snake pattern familiar to this era.

6. Speak Now era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

To sing one singular song from the  Speak Now  era, the fan-favorite "Enchanted," Taylor emerges ready to impress. You can't help but be enchanted by the soft glow reflecting off the sparkles of the  Nicole + Felicia Couture bespoke gown  she's wearing. This is reminiscent of the Valentino gown she wore when she sang this song on the  Speak Now  tour but grander, and of course, with more bling.

On night two of the tour in Glendale, Arizona, Taylor switched up this look and gave the audience an equally shiny but slightly different look, opting for a  Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown  with a starburst design embellishment.

Taylor Swift performs onstage during Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 18 2023 in Swift City...

This portion of the show is where she’s been able to switch it up the most. As the tour progressed, the star has given us plenty of glorious gowns to “ooh” and “aah” at. Another Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown was added to the  Speak Now era collection, with thousands of sequins sewn on in a starburst design.

Some nights, she graces the stage in an Elie Saab Fall 2020 Couture gown that is full of tulle and drama. Other nights, she opts for something a bit more simple, but elegant: an Ellie Saab Couture gown from Fall/Winter 2022, straight from the runway that has fabric flowers sewn down the bottom half of the dress. This dress’s train drags behind her as she walks down the catwalk of the massive stage softly and slowly, matching the tone of the song.

The next era is introduced in a spirited manner as Taylor revisits a popularly recreated look: the "Not A Lot Going On At The Moment" T-Shirt from the "22" music video. This look is paired with a Gladys Tamez hat that she gives to a lucky audience member during the performance.

On the second night of the tour, she opted to poke a bit of fun at herself with a T-shirt that read "Who's Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew" after lyrics from the song "22" instead.

As the North American tour reached its halfway point, she introduced another shirt that says, “We Are Never Getting Back Together, Like Ever.” The sequined shirts are all  custom by Ashish , who also made the original shirt in the “22” music video. Once the t-shirt is removed, a beautiful red-to-black ombré bodysuit is revealed, fittingly so for the  Red  era.

When it's time to sing her magnum opus, "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)," a sparkly red overcoat is added atop the already striking bodysuit. She puts her best foot forward for a song that has a story as remarkable as her career, with a red guitar to match.

She also used this time, for the first half of the tour, to bring out her collaborator and tour opener  Phoebe Bridgers to sing their acoustic and emotional song “Nothing New.” On Bridgers’s last night on the Eras tour, Swift showed off a chain around her neck that held a small pendant. It was later revealed that the pendant was the  Give You The Moon Charm from Phoebe Bridgers’ Catbird collection. Her footwear for this portion of the show is a seemingly comfortable pair of  loafers from Louboutin .

8. folklore era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

For the  folklore  portion, we see the singer in a beautiful, muted  purple Alberta Ferretti dress  full of ruffles and flares. It's "fairy in the woods meets cozy baking in a cottage," which are exactly the right vibes of this imaginative and rustic era.

During her performance of "august," Taylor uses body movements across the stage to express her frustration, and the lavender-toned dress added the perfect amount of drama and flair to the performance. As she moved, the  chiffon fabric  moved along with her seamlessly. On night two, she wore a similarly graceful  Alberta Ferretti dress , but in white. It had curtain drapes with delicate hanging threads, adding a  beautiful texture  to its movement.

Taylor loves to swiftly move around the stage in various Alberta Ferretti dresses during the most emotional portions of the  folklore  era. She’s shown us two more versions of custom dresses that were created for this portion of the show.

9. 1989 era

As the night progresses, we see more and more fringe. How else would we see the iconic "Shake It Off" movements except in another  Roberto Cavalli custom two-piece set  covered in chunky fringe with sequins in various shapes and sizes? This look is similar to what the singer wore on her  1989  tour.

On the first night of the tour, the co-ord set was  magenta . On the second night of the tour, she swapped it for the same set, except in bright green.

As the tour has continued, the pop queen has added an additional color to the 1989 co-ord repertoire. We’ve now seen the same Roberto Cavalli set in orange as well. How many colors will we see in total throughout the tour?

10. Midnights era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

As we reach the present-day era,  Midnights , we get to the peak of extravagance and pomp. It's time to celebrate the eras past that have allowed Taylor to become the artist and performer she is today. The dress she chose to perform the culmination of her career is a custom  Oscar De La Renta  that's looser fitting but still heavy and studded in iridescent crystals. It's paired with a new set of custom Louboutins studded in black crystals. To add more drama, she has a fur coat on, also a custom piece from Oscar De La Renta. Everything about this look screams "Bejeweled," a song placed near the end of the setlist but a vibe that's exuded for the entirety of the night.

As this era progresses, she sheds layers. The dress is shed to reveal an  Oscar De La Renta custom bodysuit , an article of clothing she seems to be very comfortable performing in. This time, there's black detailing. It's soft but striking and just sexy enough to perform the Cell Block Tango-esque choreography to "Vigilante Sh*t" with chairs and all. She even added a garter to her thigh to give a bit of a sexy edge to complete the look.

To finish off the show, another layer is added with even more fringe and even more sparkle, if that's even possible. This multi-colored statement piece is fabulous, and it's a perfect way to physically represent just what the last three hours and 15 minutes were all about: Taylor celebrating and shining with the 70,000 other people in the room with her.

The RED Tour: The Accessories

Rather than several individual posts, TSS will exclusively compile the rest of the remaining (and much anticipated) information on Taylor’s tour wardrobe! This will include her  custom footwear , her sparkly tights — and that sought-after fedora !

Track Taylor’s RED Tour wardrobe here .

THE FOOTWEAR: Custom LaDuca boots

image

When Taylor isn’t wearing oxfords — her wardrobe features a customized pair by Lanvin and a jeweled pair by Miu Miu  — or is barefoot (during “Treacherous” and “Love Story”) every night, Taylor rocks out her two and a half hour setlist in customized LaDuca boots.

Taylor wears a red ankle pair for “The Lucky One” and “Stay Stay Stay/Ho Hey”, a knee-high gold embellished black pair for “I Knew You Were Trouble.” and “All Too Well” before finishing off her show in a bi-coloured black ankle pair with (but of course) a red heel during “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

In the past, LaDuca has provided custom footwear for other concert tours like Beyoncé’s I Am … tour as well as both Katy Perry’s Hello Katy! and California Dreams tours.

THE TIGHTS: Custom Kate Spade tights

image

The one constant in Taylor’s massive tour wardrobe, whether she’s jumping out of shorts and into red cropped pants or doing an on-stage costume change is these sparkly tights that were customized just for her.

Like many other items on Tay’s tour, including the previously mentioned Lanvin oxfords, her microphones or even the stool she sits on during her acoustic set, this simple pair of nude tights was customized by hand-gluing on Swarovski crystals to add a light-catching enhancement.

You can make your own by picking up any sheer, nude pair of tights and hot glue gunning on costume crystals from a dollar store.

THE HAT: Custom Marina Toybina hat

image

It shouldn’t surprise you TSS-ers (though it will likely make you sad you can’t get your hands on an exact) that the official RED Tour costume designer Marina Toybina — who designed all of Taylor’s backup dancers outfits as well as many of Taylor’s — also makes this cool fedora Taylor wears during the opening number for the tour "State of Grace."

For those Swifties attending Taylor’s shows and are lucky enough to grab a seat at the end of the stage, Taylor has a tendency to give a fan her hat after finishing the opening song!

Fun fact: Taylor also wears this fedora by Marina in her music video for "22."

What to Wear to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, Broken Down by Era

Whether you duked it out with Ticketmaster for tickets or are just going as a very lucky plus-one, you need an outfit that matches the vibe.

Taylor Swift performs onstage during The Eras Tour at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on April 28, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgi

If you’re anything like team Marie Claire, you’ve been waiting for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour from the minute that it was announced. And whether you duked it out with Ticketmaster for tickets or are just going as a very lucky plus-one, you need an outfit that matches the vibe. Or, should I say, matches the eras of Swift’s music.

As a fan who got to attend the show in Boston recently, I was amazed at the wide array of looks at my show. Fans were decked out in Reputation -era snake print, glitter-encrusted face paint inspired by Swift's Lovers album cover, and plenty of DIY’d T-shirts from her Speak Now days. The bottom line? The looks varied widely, proving that you can truly go in any direction when picking your outfit for the Eras tour.

I love getting dressed up for concerts, but I also want to make sure that I can wear my new pieces again and again. It was a question I asked myself over and over while shopping for my own Eras Tour ensemble: Is the look good for me for right now, or good for me forever? In the end, I opted for a bedazzled mesh dress that I could also wear again on a night out over jeans or a slip dress . For the show, I opted to style it over a bodysuit for added coverage.

If you’re heading to the show this summer, there are a few key things to keep in mind, no matter what you wear. The show is long—five hours from the beginning of the opening act to the end of Swift’s set!—so you’ll want to wear comfortable clothing. Plus, if you’re the kind of fan who spends the majority of the concert jumping and dancing like you’re alone in your bedroom, you’ll want to wear something that you don’t have to worry about adjusting. Comfortable footwear is a must, so make sure that your new shoes don’t require breaking in before you go. Finally, the temperature tends to drop at night—especially if you’re at one of Swift’s rainier shows—so packing waterproof layers in your stadium-approved clear bag is key. (I wish I had packed a sweater.)

Ahead, I rounded up a selection of pieces for you to wear to the Eras Tour, broken down by Era. I’ve tried to think of everything: the shoes I’ve selected are known for being comfortable from the first wear. The dresses are comfortable to both sit and move around in. The jackets add warmth when you need them. Plus, many of the pieces below fall in line with some of summer 2023's biggest fashion trends .

Taylor Swift's Debut Album Era

If you’re dying for a debut self-titled album Secret Song at your show, wear something that harkens back to Swift’s first-ever era. This time in her career was defined by pastel blue and green shades, her iconic curling-iron curls, and her country twang. Consider cowboy boots and sweet tulle skirts.

Prefer gold to silver? The Fearless era is for you. This album had it all: Fireworks! A sparkly gold guitar! A gold fringed dress! More was more. To make it work, incorporate gold into your look via a pair of trendy sneakers , a going-out top in the hue, or by wearing a pair of viral gold jeans.

Speak Now was defined by one color and one color only: A rich purple. It's the color Swift is wearing on the cover of the album, and it's the shade that has stayed attached to the record ever since. Sweet midi dresses and shoes that come in the same shade are go-tos for this era.

Taylor Swift played the first of 13 North American stadium dates on The RED Tour at Ford Field in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 48,000 fans on May 4, 2013 in Detroit, Michigan.

Red makes for an easy outfit because it only requires that you wear one color—red. Swift also went slightly preppy while on tour for the album, opting for a classic Breton striped shirt and red high-waisted denim . No matter which outfit vibe you choose, don’t forget your heart-shaped sunglasses.

Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' Era

My personal favorite era as someone who loves to wear all-black, Reputation- inspired outfits are perfect for those who prefer a little drama. From the actual sheer mesh dress I wore to my own concert to a statement-making choker necklace priced at under $50, this era is all about going all-out.

Taylor Swift attends the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards which broadcasted live on FOX at Microsoft Theater on March 14, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.

If you love playing with color, consider a Lover- era ensemble for your concert. The key colors for this era were bright Barbiecore pink and rich blue, but pastel shades like baby pink and lavender —a trending color for 2023—were also popular. Go all-out with a heart-shaped stencil around your eye, or heart-shaped earrings.

Taylor Swift's 'Folklore' Era

Folklore was a departure from the previous maximalist Lover era. The aesthetic for the album was a combination of woodland fairy and cottagecore. On-stage, this translates to flowing summer dresses in muted shades like olive green. IRL, pair lacy layers with chunky cardigans and sweet Mary Jane shoes.

Cozy-core fans, the Evermore era is for you. Taylor’s second pandemic album was full of woodland references but, unlike its predecessor, the vibe this time around was very much fall-inspired. Flannel dresses, comfy Birkenstock sandals, and other comfy pieces reign supreme. Shades to highlight include marigold yellow and burnt red.

Good thing silver everything is one of 2023’s biggest trends—Taylor is obsessed with the shade for her Midnights era. Her looks from this time in her career are about metallics , drama, and deep shades like navy blue and fushia. If you can’t stop listening to “Karma” or You’re On Your Own Kid,” This one is for you.

14 etro dress, worn performing the evermore set.

When performing on her Evermore set, Taylor Swift wore a mustard yellow Etro dress, that featured a simple corset top and white beading down the front. During her performance of her beautiful song "Willow," she added a dark green Etro cape to add a little extra to the theme of enchantment used in this set . This choice of outfit adds a sense of mystique to the whimsical environment as she performs "Marjorie," "Champagne Problems" and "Tolerate It" from Evermore .

13 Oscar de la Renta Shirt + Jacket

Worn performing in the midnights set.

For the beginning of the final set of her concert, Midnights , Taylor Swift wore a sparkling lilac shirt dress, with a lilac fur jacket, and sparkling black boots. The color of this attire is a perfect allude to the blues of her Midnights album. This combination pays a breathtaking tribute to the music video of her hit song "Lavender Haze" , where she notably wore a similar outfit. She later sheds the jacket during her performance of "Anti-Hero."

12 Jessica Jones Dress

Worn performing in the acoustics set.

Taylor Swift returned to her country roots during the Eras Tour, with an Acoustic set of songs. While performing four surprise songs from the acoustic set, she wore a dark pink dress with cap sleeves and ruffles, in tribute to her song "Maroon." The dress was designed by Jessica Jones, who has collaborated with the singer on previous occasions. In contrast to her sparkling bodysuits worn throughout her other eras, this simply designed dress offers a more stripped-down moment during Taylor's concert . It touchingly pays tribute to her early beginnings as a country singer-songwriter.

Jessica Jones notably designed the gold bodysuit worn by Taylor Swift at the 2019 American Music Awards; at this ceremony, Swift was awarded Artist of the Decade.

11 Ashish Romper

Worn performing "i knew you were trouble" in the red set.

Taylor Swift wore several outfits that reflected her fourth era, Red . During the opening of her hit song "I Knew You Were Trouble", she wore a red and black romper, covered in sequins. The romper was designed by Ashish Gupta, who collaborated with Swift on all the outfits on her Red set; this romper has a simple design, but the sparkles add a sense of sophistication to her performance.

10 Ashish Coat

Worn performing 'all too well' in the red set.

One aspect of the concert that fans looked forward to was Taylor Swift's 10-minute rendition of her song "All Too Well". This coat is a special addition to this fan-favorite song and helps Taylor Swift stand out further on stage.

9 roberto cavalli skirt and top, worn performing in the 1989 set.

During her 1989 set, Swift wore a matching pink top and skirt designed by longtime fashion collaborator Roberto Cavalli . The pink set was paired with a dazzling pair of Christian Louboutin boots. This Cavalli outfit gave Swift a better opportunity to dance and have fun in arguably the most energetic era of her career. During her "Blank Space" performance, viewers were also treated to visuals of Swift in different styles of Cavalli outfits that were seen during her 1989 Stadium Tour (via Business Insider ). The choice to wear this pink ensemble ensured that she stood out among her dancers, who wore a range of black-and-white outfits during this era.

8 Versace Blazer

Worn performing 'the man' in the lover set.

Taylor Swift became "The Man" when she pulled on a sparkling gray blazer designed by Versace. During her Lover set, she donned the jacket over her bodysuit, as she performed her hit song "The Man" with her ensemble of office dancers. This choice of jacket completely transformed her Lover look and allowed her to become the boss of the concert. The bright gray colors chosen for this outfit also helped Swift prove that she was the true boss of the show as she climbed to the top of the office stage.

7 Oscar de la Renta Bodysuit

Worn performing the midnights set.

In the final set of her concert, Midnights , Taylor Swift wore several midnight-blue outfits designed by Oscar de la Renta. One outfit was a bejeweled bodysuit, which she wore during her performance of "Midnight Rain". The look was paired with matching dark blue Christian Louboutin boots that she wore in the final stages of her iconic concert. The bodysuit and boots were beautifully bejeweled to give the allusions to dark blue skies, an excellent homage to Swift's Midnights era.

6 Alberta Ferretti Dress

Worn performing in the folklore era.

In contrast to her earlier sparkling outfits, Swift's Alberta Ferretti gown is stark, yet beautiful with its flowing elegance.

Taylor Swift returned to seclusion in her peaceful cabin throughout her Folklore era. After the powerful and upbeat eras of Reputation and Fearless , she completely stripped back to cottage-core , by wearing a stunning flowing white gown. In contrast to her earlier sparkling outfits, Swift's Alberta Ferretti gown is stark, yet beautiful with its flowing elegance. It offers a reflection of the dreamy essence of Folklore and was the perfect choice of outfit for performing songs such as "Cardigan" and "Illicit Affairs."

5 roberto cavallari jumpsuit, worn performing the reputation set.

Another collaboration with Roberto Cavalli, Taylor Swift slithered into action in this striking jumpsuit that she wore during her Reputation set. In stark contrast to the bright ensembles worn at the beginning of the concert, this Cavalli jumpsuit is coal-black with intricate red patterns resembling snakes intertwined down one long leg of the ensemble. This jumpsuit reflects the notoriety and negative labels that Swift was given by the media; it is a perfect representation of arguably the darkest era of her entire career .

This is a tribute to her "22" music video and this costume is notable for being worn during one of the most anticipated moments of the concert; when Taylor gives her hat to one lucky fan .

This gold dress is arguably the best of Swift's outfits designed by Cavalli ; it is a spectacular representation of the era that arguably propelled her to global stardom.

Worn performing the speak now set.

When performing during her Speak Now set, Taylor Swift chose to wear a beautiful purple ball gown designed by Nicole + Felicia. Just like Swift’s, the lingerie features a navy blue fabric and glittery stars. Pair it with a sparkly skirt, leather bottoms or black trousers and you're good to go.

While she sings hits from her Lover album, Swift always wears a sequin and crystal embellished Versace bodysuit and bedazzled Louboutin boots. To recreate her pink-themed era, check out the Retrofête x Revolve Michal Top . The tank features a cowl neckline, bead and sequin details and crisscross back straps, ensuring comfort. Elevate the number with Steve Madden’s Shayna Rhinestones boots and you’ll be looking just like Swift.

Channel your inner snake with these fishnet tights from Walmart! Swift would definitely approve of the pantyhose, considering she wears a skintight custom black Roberto Cavalli catsuit featuring sequin snakes and a sheer sleeve. If you’re looking for a sexier look, check out the Medusa Bodysuit from Thistle and Spire.

Embrace the 1989 era in the Maude Transparent Sequin Racer Crop Top and matching skirt. Similar to Swift’s Roberto Cavalli crop top and mini skirt, the set will want you to “Shake it Off” and dance all night.

If you're looking for a more casual look, check out this Swift-inspired T-shirt at Walmart . Swift often wears a sequin version of the shirt while singing “22” from her Red album.

Just like Swift’s gold Roberto Cavalli frock, this sparkly design from Lulu’s will have you dancing in your best dress for Swift’s Fearless era. Similarly, both feature a flapper design and sparkly straps.

Don’t blame her.

French Montana claimed that Taylor Swift turned down $9 million to perform a show in the United Arab Emirates.

Last month, the “Pop That” rapper, 39, shared a screenshot of text messages from someone who offered him $1 million to perform and another person, whose name Montana censored, to perform for $9 million in December.

“Somebody just sent me a show offer who y’all think the 9 million for lol?” he wrote atop the messages in the now-deleted post.

The “Unforgettable” emcee — born Karim Kharbouch — claimed that person was the “Bad Blood” singer, 34, in a new interview with VladTV .

“They had a show offer for me and Taylor — her $9 million, me $1 million,” he said. “Somewhere in Emirates.”

It’s unknown why Swift allegedly turned down the offer.

Page Six has reached out to her rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.

The money definitely isn’t an issue for the pop star, as she was named a billionaire earlier this month.

“The most famous newcomer is, of course, Taylor Swift, whose record-breaking, five-continent Eras Tour is the first to surpass $1 billion in revenue,” reported Forbes .

“The 34-year-old pop star amassed an estimated $1.1 billion fortune , based on earnings from the blockbuster tour, the value of her music catalog and her real estate portfolio.”

Additionally, Swift became the “first musician to hit ten-figure status” solely based on her songs and performances.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Swift is currently on a short break from her record-breaking Eras Tour, which became the highest-grossing tour by any musician of all time, earning more than $1 billion,  per Rolling Stone .

The tour is set to resume on May 9 in Paris and will wrap up in December with three consecutive shows in Vancouver.

Until then, the “Cruel Summer” songstress has been spending quality time with her beau , NFL star Travis Kelce, who is currently in his offseason after winning the 2024 Super Bowl.

The Comprehensive Guide to Moscow Nightlife

Moscow’s nightlife scene is thriving, and arguably one of the best the world has to offer – top-notch Russian women, coupled with a never-ending list of venues, Moscow has a little bit of something for everyone’s taste. Moscow nightlife is not for the faint of heart – and if you’re coming, you better be ready to go Friday and Saturday night into the early morning.

This comprehensive guide to Moscow nightlife will run you through the nuts and bolts of all you need to know about Moscow’s nightclubs and give you a solid blueprint to operate with during your time in Moscow.

What you need to know before hitting Moscow nightclubs

Prices in moscow nightlife.

Before you head out and start gaming all the sexy Moscow girls , we have to talk money first. Bring plenty because in Moscow you can never bring a big enough bankroll. Remember, you’re the man so making a fuzz of not paying a drink here or there will not go down well.

Luckily most Moscow clubs don’t do cover fees. Some electro clubs will charge 15-20$, depending on their lineup. There’s the odd club with a minimum spend of 20-30$, which you’ll drop on drinks easily. By and large, you can scope out the venues for free, which is a big plus.

Bottle service is a great deal in Moscow. At top-tier clubs, it starts at 1,000$. That’ll go a long way with premium vodka at 250$, especially if you have three or four guys chipping in. Not to mention that it’s a massive status boost for getting girls, especially at high-end clubs.

Without bottle service, you should estimate a budget of 100-150$ per night. That is if you drink a lot and hit the top clubs with the hottest girls. Scale down for less alcohol and more basic places.

Dress code & Face control

Door policy in Moscow is called “face control” and it’s always the guy behind the two gorillas that gives the green light if you’re in or out.

In Moscow nightlife there’s only one rule when it comes to dress codes:

You can never be underdressed.

People dress A LOT sharper than, say, in the US and that goes for both sexes. For high-end clubs, you definitely want to roll with a sharp blazer and a pocket square, not to mention dress shoes in tip-top condition. Those are the minimum requirements to level the playing field vis a vis with other sharply dressed guys that have a lot more money than you do. Unless you plan to hit explicit electro or underground clubs, which have their own dress code, you are always on the money with that style.

Getting in a Moscow club isn’t as hard as it seems: dress sharp, speak English at the door and look like you’re in the mood to spend all that money that you supposedly have (even if you don’t). That will open almost any door in Moscow’s nightlife for you.

Types of Moscow Nightclubs

In Moscow there are four types of clubs with the accompanying female clientele:

High-end clubs:

These are often crossovers between restaurants and clubs with lots of tables and very little space to dance. Heavy accent on bottle service most of the time but you can work the room from the bar as well. The hottest and most expensive girls in Moscow go there. Bring deep pockets and lots of self-confidence and you have a shot at swooping them.

Regular Mid-level clubs:

They probably resemble more what you’re used to in a nightclub: big dancefloors, stages and more space to roam around. Bottle service will make you stand out more but you can also do well without. You can find all types of girls but most will be in the 6-8 range. Your targets should always be the girls drinking and ideally in pairs. It’s impossible not to swoop if your game is at least half-decent.

Basic clubs/dive bars:

Usually spots with very cheap booze and lax face control. If you’re dressed too sharp and speak no Russian, you might attract the wrong type of attention so be vigilant. If you know the local scene you can swoop 6s and 7s almost at will. Usually students and girls from the suburbs.

Electro/underground clubs:

Home of the hipsters and creatives. Parties there don’t mean meeting girls and getting drunk but doing pills and spacing out to the music. Lots of attractive hipster girls if that is your niche. That is its own scene with a different dress code as well.

What time to go out in Moscow

Moscow nightlife starts late. Don’t show up at bars and preparty spots before 11pm because you’ll feel fairly alone. Peak time is between 1am and 3am. That is also the time of Moscow nightlife’s biggest nuisance: concerts by artists you won’t know and who only distract your girls from drinking and being gamed. From 4am to 6am the regular clubs are emptying out but plenty of people, women included, still hit up one of the many afterparty clubs. Those last till well past 10am.

As far as days go: Fridays and Saturdays are peak days. Thursday is an OK day, all other days are fairly weak and you have to know the right venues.

The Ultimate Moscow Nightclub List

Short disclaimer: I didn’t add basic and electro clubs since you’re coming for the girls, not for the music. This list will give you more options than you’ll be able to handle on a weekend.

Preparty – start here at 11PM

Classic restaurant club with lots of tables and a smallish bar and dancefloor. Come here between 11pm and 12am when the concert is over and they start with the actual party. Even early in the night tons of sexy women here, who lean slightly older (25 and up).

The second floor of the Ugolek restaurant is an extra bar with dim lights and house music tunes. Very small and cozy with a slight hipster vibe but generally draws plenty of attractive women too. A bit slower vibe than Valenok.

Very cool, spread-out venue that has a modern library theme. Not always full with people but when it is, it’s brimming with top-tier women. Slow vibe here and better for grabbing contacts and moving on.

red tour outfits taylor

High-end: err on the side of being too early rather than too late because of face control.

Secret Room

Probably the top venue at the moment in Moscow . Very small but wildly popular club, which is crammed with tables but always packed. They do parties on Thursdays and Sundays as well. This club has a hip-hop/high-end theme, meaning most girls are gold diggers, IG models, and tattooed hip hop chicks. Very unfavorable logistics because there is almost no room no move inside the club but the party vibe makes it worth it. Strict face control.

Close to Secret Room and with a much more favorable and spacious three-part layout. This place attracts very hot women but also lots of ball busters and fakes that will leave you blue-balled. Come early because after 4am it starts getting empty fast. Electronic music.

A slightly kitsch restaurant club that plays Russian pop and is full of gold diggers, semi-pros, and men from the Caucasus republics. Thursday is the strongest night but that dynamic might be changing since Secret Room opened its doors. You can swoop here but it will be a struggle.

red tour outfits taylor

Mid-level: your sweet spot in terms of ease and attractiveness of girls for an average budget.

Started going downwards in 2018 due to lax face control and this might get even worse with the World Cup. In terms of layout one of the best Moscow nightclubs because it’s very big and bottle service gives you a good edge here. Still attracts lots of cute girls with loose morals but plenty of provincial girls (and guys) as well. Swooping is fairly easy here.

I haven’t been at this place in over a year, ever since it started becoming ground zero for drunken teenagers. Similar clientele to Icon but less chic, younger and drunker. Decent mainstream music that attracts plenty of tourists. Girls are easy here as well.

Sort of a Coyote Ugly (the real one in Moscow sucks) with party music and lots of drunken people licking each others’ faces. Very entertaining with the right amount of alcohol and very easy to pull in there. Don’t think about staying sober in here, you’ll hate it.

Artel Bessonitsa/Shakti Terrace

Electronic music club that is sort of a high-end place with an underground clientele and located between the teenager clubs Icon and Gipsy. Very good music but a bit all over the place with their vibe and their branding. You can swoop almost any type of girl here from high-heeled beauty to coked-up hipsters, provided they’re not too sober.

red tour outfits taylor

Afterparty: if by 5AM  you haven’t pulled, it’s time to move here.

Best afterparty spot in terms of trying to get girls. Pretty much no one is sober in there and savage gorilla game goes a long way. Lots of very hot and slutty-looking girls but it can be hard to tell apart who is looking for dick and who is just on drugs but not interested. If by 9-10am you haven’t pulled, it is probably better to surrender.

The hipster alternative for afterparties, where even more drugs are in play. Plenty of attractive girls there but you have to know how to work this type of club. A nicer atmosphere and better music but if you’re desperate to pull, you’ll probably go to Miks.

Weekday jokers: if you’re on the hunt for some sexy Russian girls during the week, here are two tips to make your life easier.

Chesterfield

Ladies night on Wednesdays means this place gets pretty packed with smashed teenagers and 6s and 7s. Don’t pull out the three-piece suit in here because it’s a “simpler” crowd. Definitely your best shot on Wednesdays.

If you haven’t pulled at Chesterfield, you can throw a Hail Mary and hit up Garage’s Black Music Wednesdays. Fills up really late but there are some cute Black Music groupies in here. Very small club. Thursday through Saturday they do afterparties and you have an excellent shot and swooping girls that are probably high.

Shishas Sferum

This is pretty much your only shot on Mondays and Tuesdays because they offer free or almost free drinks for women. A fairly low-class club where you should watch your drinks. As always the case in Moscow, there will be cute girls here on any day of the week but it’s nowhere near as good as on the weekend.

red tour outfits taylor

In a nutshell, that is all you need to know about where to meet Moscow girls in nightlife. There are tons of options, and it all depends on what best fits your style, based on the type of girls that you’re looking for.

2. The main monuments of the Red Square in Moscow

There are 6 main monuments to see in Red Square.

Sleep right next to Red Square? The MIRROS hotel is a hotel close to the Kremlin walls, at less than 100 euros per night. Breakfast is a large buffet. The hotel offers double rooms, but also family rooms.

2.1. Moscow Kremlin

The red brick walls are actually the walls of the Moscow Kremlin. The most famous Kremlin tower also overlooks the square. Built in 1491, the Spasskaya Tower is crowned with a red ruby star that lights up at night. The tower clock is the main clock in the city and even in the country. On December 31 , she is the one we see on all the screens to make the last count.

However, the entrance to the Kremlin is not on the square. Therefore, all about visiting Kremlin is in this blog post: Moscow Kremlin: how to avoid the queue and 8 things not to miss .

what to do in red square Moscow

2.1. St. Basil’s Cathedral

St. Basil’s Cathedral is one of the most beautiful monuments of Orthodox art and ultimately the symbol of Moscow and Russia in general. Built in 1561, the cathedral was commissioned by Tsar Ivan The Terrible to celebrate the capture of the city of Kazan. Legend has it that the Czar ordered the cathedral architects to be put out of sight so that they could not reproduce the work. This story then illustrates rather well why it was called The Terrible!

2.3. Lenin’s Mausoleum

It is the most emblematic monument of the Soviet era, because inside the embalmed body of Lenin is exposed. Visiting the mausoleum is free, so it’s good to know. For more info, check out my article on Lenin’s Mausoleum in Moscow.

2.4. The State Historical Museum

It is a museum specializing in the history of Russia. The building was constructed under the orders of Tsar Peter the Great. The museum, meanwhile, moved there in 1872. However, it is not necessarily the Moscow museum to see as a priority. However, here are some key info. The entrance ticket is 400 RUB. It is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

2.5. The GUM store

Built in 1893, the GUM was then the largest shopping center in the world and remained so for over ten years! Today, the store has more than 200 boutiques of major luxury brands. It is therefore a good place to stroll and get warm in winter. The facade of GUM is beautifully decorated.

  • Opening hours. Every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

2.6. The Church of the Virgin of Kazan

Next to the State History Museum is the Church of the Virgin of Kazan. It seems so small compared to the vastness of the place that we could almost miss it! The building is dedicated to the icon of Our Lady of Kazan. The Church is cited in the writings from 1625. But with the arrival of the Bolsheviks in power, it suffered the sad fate of many religious buildings: it was destroyed in 1936. Then, it was rebuilt in the 1990s in the same place and Alike.

3. What to do in Red Square Moscow?

Before entering the Red Aquare, we do not really realize its size. It is on a mountain: we discover it little by little.

3.1. Visiting the Saint Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow

It is the main monument to visit in Moscow’s Red Square. The interior of the cathedral is unusual, because in total the cathedral is made up of 9 small chapels. So you don’t enter a large space: you go from one room to another through small passages.

  • More information, in our blog post dedicated to Saint Basil’s Cathedral

3.2. Stroll, take a tour at GUM and taste a soviet ice cream

At GUM, you can taste the traditional and cult Soviet ice creams, and it is also possible throughout the year. They are very good, I recommend them to you. Another address to remember is on the top floor of the GUM. It’s also a Soviet style canteen, quite good and above all interesting for its prices, surprisingly not very high for Moscow.

3.3. Christmas market on Moscow Red Square

The best time to visit Moscow is certainly the holiday season. The Red Square of Moscow is transformed and becomes then magic: the festive colors, the cheerful atmosphere, the snow! On the Red Square Christmas market there are of course traditional stalls with local products, mulled wine, pancakes and other sweets, but also a beautiful ice rink.

4. What to see around Moscow’s Red Square?

As Red Square is located in the heart of the city, you should take the opportunity to go and see the interesting places within walking distance. Three pedestrian routes near Red Square are described in our guide to Moscow. It’s a guide that you can use on your smartphone once there, and without an Internet connection. Just save it on your phone before departure.

4.1. Seeing the changing of the Eternal Flame guard: a stone’s throw from Moscow’s Red Square

Before entering the square, on the right, under the red walls of the Kremlin, you can see an eternal flame. It was installed here in 1967 on the tomb of the unknown soldier in order to keep the memory of all those who fought fascism and died from it. The changing of the guard is always an amazing sight. The difference at 90% is rather surprising!

  • When? Every hour from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

guard

4.2. Walking in the Zaryadye Park

This new Moscow park fits perfectly into the city. From the heights of the Zaryadye park , you can see the walls and towers of the Moscow Kremlin. A platform suspended on the Moskva river opens a magnificent unobstructed view of the city! I therefore recommend it without hesitation.

  • Where? On the banks of the Moskva, accessible on foot from Red Square, passing in front of the St. Basile Cathedral
  • When? Open 24 hours a day

4.3. Seeing the Bolshoi Theater, a 5-minute walk from Moscow’s Red Square

A 10-minute walk from Moscow’s Red Square is the most famous Russian theater in the world – the Bolshoi Theater. Entrance tickets correspond to the prices charged in institutions of this level.

To find out more: How to buy a ticket to the Bolshoi?

4.4. Visiting the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts

It is a beautiful museum located 18 minutes’ walk from Red Square. There are treasures from ancient Egypt, paintings by Rembrandt or Cézanne, as well as a fine collection of Impressionism. On the other hand, for Russian fine arts, you should rather visit the Tretyakov Gallery. In addition, on the road towards the museum, one sees the fountains located in the garden which skirts the walls of the Kremlin. These fountains represent famous characters from Russian tales.

4.5. Visiting the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow

The most beautiful cathedral in Moscow, just after Saint Basil. But then bigger and more impressive! First, built in 1883 in memory of Russia’s victory over Napoleon’s army, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was destroyed on Stalin’s orders in 1931. It was rebuilt identically in 2000. It is a 20-minute walk from the Kremlin.

Not only is it a working church, but it is the seat of the Russian Orthodox Church. However, we are not allowed to take pictures inside. In addition, too exposed outfits are not tolerated. We wrote a special blog post on Cathedral of Christ the Savior where I give more details on the visit and the possibility of seeing a panorama from the cathedral.

  • Where ? Ulitsa Volkhonka 15
