On July 15, 2016 the My ship 5 , the youngest new building of the Hamburg cruise line Tui-Cruises, christened in Lübeck-Travemünde.

TUI Cruises is to christen the lastest ship in its Mein Schiff fleet, Mein Schiff 7, during a roundtrip voyage in the Bay of Kiel, departing from Kiel, Germany, on 21 June.

During the two-day voyage, guests will be able to experience a programme of entertainment, including a new show, a range of musicians, and several culinary experiences.

“After the christening of Mein Schiff 4 in 2015, we consciously decided to have a christening in the Bay of Kiel again because it is the perfect place to start wonderful journeys north,” said Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises. “This is exactly what we are inviting the guests of Mein Schiff 7 to do from June.”

The ship will be officially named by godmother Fenia Kalachani, environmental officer for the Mein Schiff fleet. Kalachani is responsible for the implementation and compliance with environmental regulations onboard TUI’s ships.

“As an environmental officer, I am pleased to be able to contribute to ensuring that our guests experience how seriously we take environmental protection,” said Kalachani. “It is a particularly great honour for me that I am now the godmother for the Mein Schiff 7 - on behalf of the entire Mein Schiff crew. This ship is a good example of how innovative cruising can be in the area of ​​environment and sustainability.”

Mein Schiff 7 will operate using low-emission marine diesel and is equipped with catalytic converters, shore power connection capability. It has also been designed to run on methanol when the fuel is more widely available.

The vessel has also been equipped with the Hydro-Treat system, which processes organic waste through thermal treatment to make biochar, which can then be used on land for different purposes.

TUI Cruises sagt die Transreise der Mein Schiff 5 durch den Suezkanal ab

Transreise durch den Suezkanal mit der Mein Schiff 5 abgesagt!

Aufgrund der aktuellen Lage im Roten Meer sieht sich TUI Cruises gezwungen, die Transreise von Dubai durch den Suezkanal mit der Mein Schiff 5 abzusagen. Stattdessen wird die Mein Schiff 5 Kurs um Afrika nehmen, wodurch der Hafen Heraklion erst am 21. Juni 2024 erreicht wird. Aufgrund dieses Hintergrunds müssen ebenfalls die Reisen am 23. Mai 2024, 07. Juni 2024 und 14. Juni 2024 mit der Mein Schiff 5 abgesagt werden.

Die Buchungen werden in den nächsten Tagen kostenfrei storniert. Als kleine “Wiedergutmachung” erhaltet Ihr ein Reiseguthaben mit 10% Ermäßigung auf den Kreuzfahrtanteil für eine Neubuchung. Dieses Guthaben enthält keine Einlösefrist und kann flexibel genutzt werden!

Mein Schiff 7: Buchungsstart für die Taufreise des neuen Flottenmitglieds

Mit dem Thema „Der siebte Himmel auf See“ wird der Mein Schiff 7 während der Taufreise vom 21. bis 23. Juni 2024 feierlich der Name verliehen. Die Taufpatin, Umweltoffizierin Fenia Kalachani, kommt aus den eigenen Reihen des Hamburger Kreuzfahrtunternehmens und steht stellvertretend für die gesamte Mein Schiff Crew – an Bord und an Land. Die Taufreise durch die Dänische Südsee ist ab sofort buchbar. „Wir sind auf der Zielgeraden und freuen uns darauf, die Mein Schiff 7 gemeinsam mit der Crew und unseren Gästen zu taufen. Auf der Mein Schiff 7 werden wir mit den neuen Konzepten begeistern und unvergessliche Wohlfühl-Kreuzfahrten mit vielen Highlights bieten“, sagt Wybcke Meier, CEO TUI Cruises.

Das jüngste Flottenmitglied ist ein Schwesterschiff der Mein Schiff 1 und Mein Schiff 2 und wird derzeit in der finnischen Meyer Werft in Turku gebaut. Genau wie die gesamte Mein Schiff Flotte verspricht auch der Neubau den Gästen ein ganz besonderes Wohlfühlgefühl sowie Premiumreisen auf allerhöchstem Niveau. Eine Neuheit auf der Mein Schiff 7 sind die Kabinenkategorien für Alleinreisende: 12 Einzelkabinen Außen und 14 Einzelkabinen Innen bieten individuellen Freiraum mit viel Stauraum und einzigartiger Wohlfühlatmosphäre.

Kulinarisch auf Wolke 7 mit der neuen Mein Schiff 7

Mit dem neuen Café Central auf Deck 5 kommt ein Konzept an Bord der Mein Schiff 7, das Genuss und Entspannung auf eine einzigartige Weise verbindet. In der Großen Freiheit der Mein Schiff 7, entsteht das exklusive Asia & Sushi Restaurant Hideki, in dem die Gäste mittags und abends in die Genusswelt Asiens eintauchen und den Sushi-Meistern am offenen Tresen, in der Mitte des Restaurants, beim Zaubern wunderbarer Variationen zuschauen können. Ein Material-Mix aus polierten Oberflächen und warmem Holz gibt diesem besonderen Ort eine moderne und gleichzeitig gemütliche Atmosphäre.

Hochwertig mediterran erscheint das neue italienische Restaurant La Spezia, mit Spezialitäten der Spitzenklasse. Meerblick, Holzfußboden, moderne Farben und viel Sonnenlicht, das durch die großen Panoramafenster auf Deck 4 der Großen Freiheit einfällt, sorgen für eine lebendige Atmosphäre. Dank mediterranen Deko-Elementen auf den Tischen und dem Duft von frischer Pizza und Pasta werden die Gäste in das italienische Lebensgefühl eintauchen. Zum Abschluss eines kulinarischen Genussabends oder zum Anstoßen auf die Wohlfühlreise können sich die Gäste dann auf einen neu gestalteten Bereich freuen: Über eine Wendeltreppe aus der Großen Freiheit oder direkt über Deck 6 gelangen die Gäste zum neuen Champagner Treff.

Nach der Taufreise wird die Mein Schiff 7 am 23. Juni 2024 wieder im Hafen der schleswig-holsteinischen Landeshauptstadt festmachen und zu ihrer ersten großen Reise Richtung Norwegen aufbrechen. Das jüngste Flottenmitglied fährt in seiner ersten Sommersaison ab/bis Kiel Richtung Nordland und ab Mitte August ab/bis Warnemünde auf verschiedenen Ostsee-Reisen.

Die 2-tägige Taufreise der Mein Schiff 7 ab/bis Kiel vom 21. bis 23. Juni 2024 gibt es ab 699 Euro pro Person in einer Balkonkabine, bei Doppelbelegung im PRO-Tarif und 899 Euro in einer Einzelkabine Außen im PRO-Tarif mit den Mein Schiff Premium-Inklusivleistungen.

Tui cruises: taufe der mein schiff 7 im juni 2024, dem jüngsten neubau der mein schiff-flotte wird am 22. juni 2024 im rahmen einer taufreise ab/bis kiel offiziell der namen verliehen..

Wie TUI Cruises heute verkündete, wird d ie Mein Schiff 7 am 21. Juni 2024 zur 2-tägigen Taufreise startet: So geht es von der  schleswig-holsteinischen Landeshauptstadt  zu einer  Panoramafahrt durch die Dänische Südsee. Daran anschießend wird die Mein Schiff 7 wieder im Abfahrtshafen festmachen und der Kieler Woche an ihrem zweiten Tag einen Besuch abstatten. Gäste dürfen sich neben der Erkundung des Schiff auch über ein besonderes Taufprogramm mit kulinarischen und künstlerischen Überraschungen freuen. 

Umweltoffizierin wird Taufpatin

Auch die Taufpatin der Mein Schiff 7 steht nun fest: Fenia Kalachani, seit 2022 Umweltoffizierin an Bord der Mein Schiff Flotte, verantwortet gemeinsam mit ihren Umweltoffiziers-KollegInnen die Umsetzung und Einhaltung aller relevanten Umweltbestimmungen an Bord der Mein Schiff Flotte.

„Ich freue mich als Umweltoffizierin meinen Beitrag dazu leisten zu können, dass unsere Gäste erleben, wie ernst wir den Umweltschutz und den verantwortungsvollen und nachhaltigen Umgang mit Ressourcen an Bord nehmen. Fokus auf emissionsarmen Schiffsbetrieb

Der Neubau wird anfangs ausschließlich mit emissionsärmerem Marinediesel (Schwefelgehalt max. 0,1%) betrieben und ist mit Katalysatoren (Stickoxidminderung: rd. 75%) sowie einem Landstromanschluss ausgestattet. Darüber hinaus wurde die Mein Schiff 7 so gebaut, dass sie auch mit Methanol, perspektivisch grünem Methanol, fahren kann, was den Schiffsantrieb nahezu CO2-neutral machen soll. Die Entscheidung, die Mein Schiff 7 für einen Methanolantrieb vorzubereiten, sei eine wichtige Investition in die Zukunft und auch ein wichtiger Schritt auf dem Weg zur klimaneutralen Kreuzfahrt, so TUI Cruises in ihrer Aussendung. 

Um eine noch effizientere und kreislauffähigere Abfallverarbeitung an Bord zu erreichen, wird die Mein Schiff 7 auch mit dem innovativen System Hydro-Treat ausgestattet, welches die organischen Abfälle durch thermische Behandlung karbonisiert und die entstehende Pflanzenkohle für die weitere Nutzung an Land nutzbar machen kann.

Taufreise Preisbeispiel:  Die 2-tägige Taufreise der Mein Schiff 7 ab/bis Kiel vom 21. bis 23. Juni 2024 ist in Kürze ab 699 EUR p.P. in einer Balkonkabine, bei Doppelbelegung im PRO-Tarif, und ab 899 EUR in einer Einzelkabine Außen im PRO-Tarif buchbar.
