This is the fourth time I've seen the Crüe, and the second time at MSG. Even though I also saw them on tour with Aerosmith, and saw a show during one of their residencies at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, this Final Tour show lives up to expectations. Vince even learned most of the words to the songs!! (Anyone who has seen Mötley Crüe live before will know that this is kind of a big deal. At previous shows I’ve attended, the audience sang nearly as much as Vince did.)

Nikki Sixx is my favorite member of Mötley Crüe, and he was in top form at this show, and even had a fire-shooting attachment on his bass for "Shout at the Devil." He also regaled the audience with the long story of how he moved to LA and pulled the band together. Even though I already knew the story from reading The Dirt, it was still great to hear Nikki tell it live, in his own words. While that little interlude brought the energy level down a bit, it did a nice job of bringing the night full circle and truly encapsulating all 33 years of the band's life.

Tommy Lee's drum roller coaster contraption was totally insane, spanning the length of the arena floor, and allowing Tommy’s drum kit to do 360 degree spins as it travelled along the track. The guys played a solid two hour set and definitely went out with a bang (literally - there was a ton of pyro during closing number "Kickstart My Heart," including Nikki’s afore mentioned fire-shooting bass).

The strongest testament to this show is that the next day I had to go online to check the rest of their tour dates to find out if I could possibly see another show on the tour (sadly, no other cities convenient to me remain), and a full 24 hours later I was still buzzing with energy.

However, to paraphrase Nikki, this show/tour isn't "goodbye" because the Crüe's music isn’t going anywhere – it’s going to be around to haunt us until the day that we die.

ABOUT THE BANDS:

With more than 110 million albums sold worldwide and two prestigious Diamond Awards in the U.S., 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame® inductees Def Leppard – Joe Elliott (vocals), Phil Collen (guitar), Rick Savage (bass), Vivian Campbell (guitar) and Rick Allen (drums) — continue to be one of the most important forces in rock music. Over the course of their career the band has produced a series of classic ground-breaking albums that set the bar for generations of music fans and artists alike. The group’s spectacular live shows and arsenal of hits have become synonymous with their name, leading Def Leppard to be heralded as the world’s greatest live rock band. Def Leppard’s influential career includes numerous hit singles and ground-breaking multi-platinum albums—including two of the best-selling albums of all time, Pyromania and Hysteria, capturing the group’s legendary tracks, bringing together classic Leppard hits such as “Rock of Ages”, Pour Some Sugar on Me” and “Foolin.” For the first time, in January 2018 Def Leppard debuted their full recording catalogue worldwide via streaming and download platforms. As they did with the original release of their records, Def Leppard dominated the worldwide charts again, which found their albums charting in the iTunes Top 10 in more than 30 countries, including Hysteria at #3 in the US, and #5 in the UK (36 years after the album had charted at No 1 in the Billboard charts). Def Leppard also had the #1, #2 and #3 records on the US catalogue albums chart. The band have gone on to amass a staggering 5.5 billion streams since 2018, reaching a younger 18-44 demographic that now represents 58% of their fanbase. Additionally, the band have garnered an impressive 15 million followers across their social media platforms. In May 2022, Def Leppard released their twelfth studio album Diamond Star Halos. The album debuted at #1 on the Apple and Amazon Music charts. The album also scored a Top 10 debut on North America’s Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, marking the band’s eighth Top 10 album of their career, and garnered a #1 debut on Billboard’s Hard Rock chart. Diamond Star Halos had numerous Top 10 chart entries globally including a Top 5 debut in the UK. Following the close of their historic 2018 co-headline stadium and arena run in North America, Def Leppard sold in excess of 1,000,000 tickets and the tour grossed over $100,000,000.00, a massive feat in today’s touring world. Def Leppard & Mötley Crüe topped that number yet again with another sold out North American stadium run in 2022 selling over 1.3 million tickets which grossed a staggering $173,500,000.00. As always, the group keep pushing the boundaries with their electrifying live shows.

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, the quartet —Vince Neil (vocals), Nikki Sixx (bass), Tommy Lee (drums) and Mick Mars (guitars) —  has commandeered the rock pantheon for 41 years. The band has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, garnered 7 USA platinum and multi-platinum albums, 22 Top 40 mainstream rock hits, 6 Top 20 pop singles, 3  Grammy  nominations, 5  New York Times  best-selling books, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a  Netflix  hit movie. Mötley Crüe continues touring the world with John 5 on guitar as they push the visual limits of live performance.

Mötley Crüe  have amassed over 5 billion streams across digital platforms and the band has over 8 million followers on social media. Known for their iconic live performances, the band has sold-out countless tours across the globe in front of millions of fans with groundbreaking production highlights such as Tommy Lee’s drum-rollercoaster and Nikki Sixx’s flame-throwing-bass. They  pioneered the Las Vegas rock residency with a sold out run in 2012. Mötley Crüe’s hit songs  such as “Kickstart My Heart” and “Home Sweet Home” are frequently licensed by major brands such as  NASCAR, Dodge, Coldwell Banker, Carl’s Jr. and KIA  to name a few and their music can be heard on TV hit shows such as  Stranger Things  and  Cobra Kai  amongst many others.

The band’s biography “The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band” became a New York Times best-seller in 2001 and has sold over 1 million copies worldwide. Members of the band have authored 4 additional  New York Times  best-selling books since. In 2019 Netflix premiered “The Dirt” biopic based on the bestselling book which became a global hit movie scoring a 94% positive audience score on  Rotten Tomatoes . As a result, Mötley Crüe gained an entire new generation of young fans who discovered the band through the movie and further solidified their iconic status, relevance and the timelessness of their songwriting.

Fans of the band are also able to buy/rent  The Retaliators  movie on VOD platforms now; Nikki Sixx co-wrote the haunting theme song “21 Bullets”and Tommy Lee makes a cameo appearance in the rock-infused thriller movie. For more info go to  www.retaliatorsmovie.com

Mötley Crüe remains a huge global draw 41 years into their career and, in the summer of 2022 co-headlined a nearly sold out North American stadium tour with Def Leppard. The tour is set to travel to the rest of the world in 2023.

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock audiences of all ages.  Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. He continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he’s best known for.

His 2021 album “Detroit Stories,” inspired by his hometown’s legacy of rock, debuted on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart at #1, and his recent “Live From The Astroturf” video/audio release recently did the same on the UK’s Official Music Video Chart.

While preparing two new albums for 2023 release, Alice continues to do his nightly “Nights With Alice Cooper” syndicated radio show, and still manages to tour up to six months each year on the road.  Alice Cooper continues to bring his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock-rock, Cooper (in both the original Alice Cooper band and as a solo artist) has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie, even in an era where CNN can present real life shocking images.

Motley Crue + Def Leppard Add U.S. Dates to 2023 World Tour, Announce Alice Cooper as Special Guest

Motley Crue and Def Leppard had one of the biggest grossing tours of 2022, and they'll be back out on the road sharing their shows with the rest of the world in 2023. While shows in Mexico, South America and Europe have already been revealed, they also just announced a handful of shows for U.S. audiences as well. And they revealed that the iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper will be joining them on their 2023 run on select dates.

Dubbed "The World Tour," things will get underway Feb. 10 and 11 with the previously announced shows in Atlantic City before jetting off to Mexico City for a Feb. 18 show that will keep them in Mexico and South America for a run. Then in May, "The World Tour" heads to the U.K. and Europe for dates carrying over into the summer.

Finishing out their run, the acts will return stateside to play six newly announced shows in the U.S. this August starting Aug. 5 in Syracuse, New York. All the dates for the Live Nation-backed run are listed below.

“After finally getting back on the road this past summer, we’re beyond thrilled to bring this massive tour to a global audience including some special dates in America!” said Joe Elliott of Def Leppard.

"We had an incredible time playing The Stadium Tour in North America this summer and we truly can't wait to take the show around the globe with The WORLD Tour in 2023. Crüeheads get ready because we have a few amazing U.S. dates set for you!" Mötley Crüe said in a joint statement.

The new Motley Crue dates will also be the first to feature John 5 as a touring member of the band. The group announced earlier this year that Mick Mars , while remaining a member of Motley Crue, would be  retiring from touring with John 5 coming on board to fill in.

Be sure to check out complete ticketing details in local markets including VIP offerings. You can get your tickets via both the Motley Crue and Def Leppard websites. It should also be noted that Citi is the official card of "The World Tour" and Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets starting Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 10AM local time through Thursday, Dec. 15 at 10PM local time. Visit the Citi Entertainment website for pre-sale details. All other tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Dec. 16 at 10AM local time.

Mötley Crüe 2024 Tour: How To Buy Tickets To Upcoming Dates

by Branson Knowles December 22, 2023, 12:36 pm

Heavy metal legends Mötley Crüe are heading out on yet another highly anticipated tour . The Crüe will be playing in 6 different venues across the country, giving fans a relatively short window to see them live in action.

motley crue tour schedule

Mötley Crüe will also be playing a show on New Year’s Eve at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California on December 31st. After that the band will be taking a decent break from live performances, returning to the stage 5 months later in May at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The Grammy-nominated band will be wrapping up their latest run of dates with a couple of festival appearances. They’ll be playing Welcome to Rockville 2024 in Daytona Beach, Florida as well as Summerfest 2024 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before ending their tour at the Ottawa Bluesfest in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in July.

Tickets will be available through StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

While Mötley Crüe may have come back from their first retirement from touring, there’s no telling how long the band will continue to perform live. If you’re a fan and interested in seeing the hair-metal legends tear up the stage in person, we suggest getting tickets soon.

We don’t know who the Crüe are bringing with them for their 2024 tour, but previous supporting acts like Alice Cooper and Papa Roach may mean the band is planning on bringing some huge openers with them.

If you’re interested in going to a show, you can find official tickets directly through StubHub or by clicking here . Again, the band has already retired from touring, so seeing them live after the fact is almost like cheating the system. If you love Mötley Crüe, we strongly suggest you take advantage of this very unique opportunity and get your tickets now!

MÖTLEY CRÜE Plots Another U.S. Tour In 2024, Possible Third Las Vegas Residency

MÖTLEY CRÜE played the final show of the 2022 leg of "The Stadium Tour" Friday night (September 9) at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. But singer Vince Neil said MÖTLEY CRÜE will continue touring internationally with DEF LEPPARD in 2023, through Mexico and South America in the spring and soccer stadiums in Europe next summer. Plans are for MÖTLEY CRÜE to return to U.S. for more shows in 2024.

"We're far from being over," Neil told John Katsilometes of the Las Vegas Review-Journal in an interview that was conducted on Thursday (September 8). "When we come back in '24, we're going to do it all over again."

Neil also confirmed that there are talks of CRÜE returning for a third residency in Vegas, where they previously played a series of shows at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in 2012 and again in 2013.

"We have definitely talked about doing it, and everybody loves to do the residencies, so I say, 'Yeah, we're gonna do it,'" Neil said. "We just have to look at sometime in '24, to be back in Vegas. But we will be back."

Vince went on to say that CRÜE is focusing on playing shows, with no plans to return to the studio.

"We are strictly a touring band," he said. "When you see this show at Allegiant, you’ll see why. You're going to see something that’s unbelievable, lights and lasers, three dancers. There are a lot of cool special effects, and a cool band putting on a rock show."

On Saturday (September 10), MÖTLEY CRÜE shared a message on social media thanking fans for their support and saying that the bandmembers were "excited about the future".

"Nothing as big as this comes from any one person alone," the group wrote. "Yes, you see us onstage and sometimes it seems as if it's all about us but it’s really not. It's about you the fans and who makes that happen? It’s a whole massive team. Hundreds of people behind the scenes everyday day and night. Every single element that you see was worked on for months and months.

"Our production team and crew are top of the top. Every light, every laser move, video content, video crew, bus and truck drivers, background dancers and choreographers, audio team, video team, back line team, programming, wardrobe, security, tour managers, agents and management.

"For now we take a final bow for these US and Canadian shows. Everybody is tired and yet excited about the future #TheFutureIsOurs

"SEE YOU IN FEBRUARY.

"special thanks to @defleppard for being the most bad ass tour partners and @poison @joanjett and @classlessact for support on the tour. Extra kick ass thank you to @samshapiromedia for documenting this tour."

"The Stadium Tour" kicked off on June 16 in Atlanta, Georgia.

CRÜE 's long-delayed North American trek was originally planned for 2020 and later moved to 2021 and then to 2022.

Three months ago, DEF LEPPARD guitarist Phil Collen told Chile's Radio Futuro that there are plans to bring the tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE to other parts of the world. "Definitely next summer is gonna be Europe," he said. "And then South America, Australia [and] Japan — next year, hopefully at some point, we'll be playing all of those markets."

When asked to clarify that the same package that is touring the U.S. will be hitting all the other markets as well, Phil said: "That's what they're talking about. Obviously, I can say, 'Yeah, let's do that,' but we've gotta ask them as well. But I think MÖTLEY CRÜE have signed up. So hopefully that's all gonna come, and Joan Jett and POISON . That would be amazing."

Last month, "The Stadium Tour" landed at No. 4 on Pollstar 's LIVE75 chart, which ranks worldwide active tours by the average tickets sold for reported shows taken place over the previous 30 days. According to Pollstar , "The Stadium Tour" moved 98.5% of the available tickets from concerts at 17 venues in North American cities to average 36,763 sold seats per show. The bands also earned a $4.88 million gross average.

"The Stadium Tour" marked the CRÜE 's first live dates since wrapping its 2014/2015 farewell tour. CRÜE toured with POISON back in 2011 and DEF LEPPARD teamed up with POISON for a string of road dates in 2017, but this jaunt was the first time all four acts hit the road together for an extended tour.

CRÜE fans who shelled out for the band's 2014/2015 "farewell" tour were led to believe that the group would never return after playing its final show on December 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The band touted the signing of a pre-tour "cessation of touring" agreement as cementing the fact it truly was the end of CRÜE 's life on the road.

In a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx said "the most important thing about a farewell tour is that the band doesn't lie to the fans, and the band doesn't tour and then come back years later. That's what's important for us, planning what's the right time to go out."

Three years ago, Sixx said that the Netflix biopic "The Dirt" , about MÖTLEY CRÜE 's formative years, sparked a renewed interest from younger fans who wanted to see them live, contributing to the band's decision to renege on its infamous "cessation of touring" contract.

MÖTLEY CRÜE recorded four new songs for its 2019 soundtrack to "The Dirt" , the single "The Dirt (Est. 1981) (feat. Machine Gun Kelly)" , "Ride With The Devil" , "Crash And Burn" and the band's own spin on Madonna 's "Like A Virgin" .

CRÜE 's last full-length collection of new material, "Saints Of Los Angeles" , came out in 2008.

Nothing as big as this comes from any one person alone. Yes, you see us onstage and sometimes it seems as if it’s all... Posted by Motley Crue on  Saturday, September 10, 2022

Nikki Sixx Hints Setlist Changes for Motley Crue 2024 Tour: How to Get Tickets

M otley Crue’s upcoming tour dates might have a little bit of spice in them. Songwriter/bassist Nikki Sixx just hinted at some potential changes to the setlist for the tour, which will resume in May. Previously, Motley Crue’s last two tours have been very similar setlist-wise, spanning 15 songs that include hits like “Home Sweet Home” and “Dr. Feelgood”.

Yesterday, Sixx posted on X that it was a “great week for Crue” and that they “worked on new songs with [John] 5 for the summer shows-Me and Tommy came up with a cool setlist and the stage set is moving along nicely.” Could we be getting new live music and a new setlist starting in May?

The Motley Crue 2024 Tour will resume on May 3 at Hard Rock Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The tour will close on October 13 at Aftershock 2024 in Sacramento, California.

Fans can get their tickets to see Motley Crue live in 2024 through Ticketmaster and Stubhub . It doesn’t look like there are any presale events for this tour, and tickets are still available through these platforms.

We recommend checking out Stubhub first, especially if your chosen tour date is close to selling out. Stubhub is a top-notch resource for finding third-party tickets that are legitimate and scam-free.
