Disney reveals new $15.7K "World of Dreams" tour

Walt Disney World recently announced a new VIP tour offering entitled “World of Dreams,” which costs $15,732 for up to six guests lasting 12 hours.

It seems as though the Most Magical Place on Earth could potentially be the priciest, as well.

What makes the tour so expensive, you may ask?

• You can rent this 9-bedroom Star Wars-themed Airbnb villa (PHOTOS)
• This resort was ranked the most romantic in the world
• You can ice skate on a rooftop with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline

The name says it all. Guests can pretty much do anything their Disney dreams desire.

The tour includes backstage access and transportation, front of the line passes to all attractions, a tour of the Cinderella Castle Dream Suite, as well as exclusive viewing spots for the nighttime events.

More opportunities can also be arranged at the request of the guest.

Additionally, all meals are included — three a day, with ‘select alcohol,’ according to Walt Disney World Today — and guests do not require any reservations. They instead are granted access to any restaurant at Walt Disney World.

The cost is for one day. However, if you wish to partake in even more magic, each extra day is “only” $12,991.

Visitors can book the “World of Dreams” tour now. However, you must do so a week in advance to allow time for organizing the various unique opportunities.

Anyone got an extra $12,000 just hanging around somewhere?  If so then I have a new way to spend it.  Disney just announced a new “World of Dreams” VIP Tour of Walt Disney World including the famed Cinderella Castle Suite.

The “World of Dreams” tour costs $12,00 and is 12 hours long.  Don’t worry about doing it alone though, you can bring up to 6 guests on this special guided tour of Walt Disney World.

Don’t get confused, this tour is aimed at the VIPs so I don’t think Disney is counting on the majority of guests to sign up.  However for anyone interested here’s what the “World of Dreams” VIP Tour includes: 

• Backstage access
• A tour of the Cinderella Castle Dream Suite
• All meals included
• Access to any restaurant at Walt Disney World (no normal reservations needed)
• and many more possibilities based on guest request

If you want to extend the tour beyond just 1 day and the original $12,000 you can.  Each additional day is *only* $10,000 (sounds like a bargain to me!)  The “World of Dreams” tour is open to booking now, just be sure to signup at least 1 week in advance to give them time to make all the arrangements for the tour.

I couldn't see myself spending 12 hours of a day touring anything. If it was broken up over two or three days, and I could afford it I'd do it. But not in one day

Do you need a tour that is a step above the VIP Private Tour? • A walk through of Cinderella’s Castle
• Anything that you want to do on property

Think that this experience could not be topped? Well, think again!  You also have access to any restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort with -wait for it – no reservation required!  The tour is tailored to your specific requests so the possibilities are endless!  You even receive FastPasses for all the rides.

So how does one go about booking this amazing tour? The tour must be booked at least 1 week in advance so all of your amazing opportunities can be arranged.  If you would like guaranteed seating at any restaurant you desire, you must book this tour starting at 180 days out.  The World of Dreams Tour costs $12,000 and can be scheduled for up to six guests.  If you would like to add on an additional day, you may do so for an additional $10,000.

Don’t have $12,000 to spend on the World of Dreams VIP tour?  There are other VIP tours that you should check out that may be more within your budget.  I, on the other hand, am going to be right back.  I have to go buy myself a lottery ticket and hope that I win so I can take part in this once in a lifetime experience!

Did you know Walt Disney World offers the “World Of Dreams” tour, which is the ultimate VIP tour providing guests with exclusive access to Cinderella Castle Suite plus pretty much everything else anyone could want to see around the Walt Disney World Resort .

For $12,000, you and a maximum of six guests can tour just about anywhere on the Walt Disney World property for any length of time, up to 12 hours. Additional days of the tour can be added at the reduced price of $10,000 each.

As part of the tour, guests will get the following perks:

• Bypassing of lines for all attractions
• Transportation and access to backstage
• Animal tours and programs
• Access and tour of Cinderella Castle Suite
• Any and all experiences available in all four Walt Disney World theme parks

K-pop act NCT DREAM have mapped out a 2024 world tour, titled “THE DREAM SHOW 3 : DREAM( )SCAPE.” The trek will see MARK, RENJUN, JENO, HAECHAN, JAEMIN, CHENLE, and JISUNG hit 21 cities around the world.

What Is NCT DREAM’s 2024 Tour?

“THE DREAM SHOW 3 : DREAM( )SCAPE” is officially NCT DREAM’s biggest tour to date, featuring a number of stadium and dome shows. The trek kicks off in May in Jakarta, Indonesia before moving across Asia with stops including Bangkok, Singapore, and Manila. The group will then head to Central and South America before the tour touches down in the US for the month of September, when they’ll visit Los Angeles, Fort Worth, New York, and more cities.

NCT DREAM will then jet over to Europe, later finishing off in London in November at OVO Arena Wembley.

Last year, during the first of their two 2023 world tours, NCT DREAM stopped by Consequence to chat about designing the perfect set list .

Who Is Opening for NCT DREAM On Tour?

As with most K-pop acts, NCT DREAM is not likely to bring an opener on tour.

How Can I Buy Tickets for NCT DREAM’s World Tour?

For all dates, pre-sale will take place with a code generated through NCT DREAM’s Weverse presale . Those who receive codes will have access to presale taking place on Monday, May 13th for Latin America, Wednesday, May 15th for Europe, and Thursday, May 16th for the US.

Then, general on-sale is set to take place on Friday, May 17th via Ticketmaster . In the US, tickets go on sale at 3:00 PM local time; European tickets will become available at 10:00 AM local time.

Once tickets are on sale, fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand. For international dates, keep an eye on viagogo .

DPR Launches 'Dream Reborn World Tour' This Fall

The North American leg will kick off on September 9th in Vancouver before making stops at iconic venues in Los Angeles, New York City, and more.

PR (“Dream Perfect Regime”) has announced that the collective will hit the road this fall on “ The Dream Reborn World Tour 2024 ,” featuring DPR IAN, DPR CREAM, and DPR ARTIC for a trek spanning 27 cities across North America, South America, Europe, and the UK with additional tour dates for Asia, Australia and New Zealand to be announced at a later date.

The North American leg will kick off on September 9th in Vancouver (Orpheum) before making stops at iconic venues in Los Angeles (Shrine Expo Hall), Atlanta (Coca-Cola Roxy), New York City (The Theater at Madison Square Garden), and Chicago (Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom).

Fear and Dreams World Tour

Eason Chan in Concert – Fear and Dreams World Tour is coming to Chase Center on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023. Eason Chan is a prominent Chinese male singer and actor who has been praised by Time magazine as a front runner and influencer in the Cantopop scene. Eason has released more than 40 albums and won numerous renowned awards in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. His hit songs include "My Happy Times", "天下無雙", "Shall We Talk", "The king of karaoke", "Next Year, Today", "夕陽無限好", "浮誇". Over the last two decades, Eason has emerged as the leading male singer of his generation, fulfilling his role as an innovator and a leader in the music industry in Hong Kong. Amongst the most prestigious awards in Chinese-language music, Golden Melody Awards of Taiwan, Eason is the only Hong Kong singer who has won "Best Mandarin Male Singer" three times. He also won "Best Mandarin Album" twice, and the album "C'mon in~" won "Album of the Year" in 2018. In December 2022, Eason held "Fear and Dreams Eason Chan in Concert" at the Hong Kong Coliseum for a total of 27 shows. After that, "Fear and Dreams Eason Chan in Concert World Tour" announced to begin in April 2023, first taking place in Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.

NCT Dream Talk The Dream Show 3: Dream()scape World Tour, 2024 Bucket List, & More

The past few years have been a whirlwind for NCT Dream . In 2022, as COVID-19 restrictions finally fully loosened up, the SM Entertainment septet returned to the road to embark on their second world tour, which included 41 stops worldwide. Days after wrapping up the tour in the summer of 2023, they released their third studio album, ISTJ , and now, less than a year later, they are ready to do it all again.

Keeping up their relentless pace, 2024 is shaping up to be a busy year for NCT Dream. Back in March, the group released its latest EP, Dream()scape , signaling a seismic shift in their sound. The six-track project, led by title track "Smoothie," felt almost like a reintroduction for NCT Dream, who first burst into the scene as bubbly tweens with their debut single "Chewing Gum" in 2016. Gone are the saccharine aesthetics, now replaced by “dirty taste" and gritty thorns. "No more good boy, I'ma bad," Mark prophesies in the opening verse.

Dream()scape has only been out for a couple of months, and with so much to digest, you'd think NCT Dream would still be hung up promoting the EP, but now all eyes are on their new world tour, The Dream Show 3: Dream()scape .

First announced in February, The Dream Show 3: Dream()scape tour is NCT Dream's third world tour, a continuation of The Dream Show (2019–2020) and The Dream Show 2: In a Dream (2022–2023). The members — minus Renjun, who announced a hiatus citing health reasons in April — kicked things off in Seoul with three shows back to back in Seoul before taking the show to Osaka the following weekend. Last week, the group added even more stops across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe , joining the previously announced Asian shows and including a handful of cities they've never visited before.

Ahead of their first shows in Seoul and as they prepare to make the world their literal oyster this year, Teen Vogue caught up with Mark, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung over Zoom to chat about what to expect from the different legs of the tour, their preparations, on-the-road essentials, and more. Read the interview below.

Teen Vogue: Let's jump straight into your tour. I know you're kicking things off in just a couple of weeks in Seoul. What does a typical day look like for NCT Dream at the moment?

Jeno: Every day these days, we're pretty much focused on preparing for the concert. We're in the final stages of finalizing the choreo bits as well as some of the technicals, but everything is going quite smoothly.

TV : How many hours a day are you spending preparing for the tour, roughly?

Mark: Like, 25.

TV : Wow, ok. [ Laughs .]

Mark: No, but even after this interview, I mean, we go straight to practice. I think for the past week, we've been in the practice room every single day, all day. And even practicing like that, we still have a lot to practice and we still have a lot of imperfections. But the concert's in a way a week later. So, though it's very tiring that we got to split ourselves up, we're doing the best we can.

TV : I'm sure the best you can is more than enough. Do you have any surprises planned for the tour? I know you like to keep things private, but if you can give us a couple of teasers and just keep it out of context.

Jisung: So this time, it's going to be all group performances. We're always going to be performing together. There's no solos, no units, just all NCT Dream, all the time.

TV : This is the third installment of The Dream Show . What has been the biggest lesson you have learned from last year's 41-stop tour?

Chenle: One very important lesson I learned is [managing our] stamina, being physically ready to go on a long tour. Because of course, we're always doing our best, but if we use up all our energy 200% all the time, then it's difficult to maintain that high level of energy throughout the tour. I felt that we need to learn how to control and use our limited energy wisely.

TV : How do you do that? I know you don't have a lot of time in between stops, so how do you prioritize not burning yourself out and your health in general. How do you take care of yourself and also each other while you're on tour?

Chenle: Well, for myself, I'm going to bring my tumbler, and I'm always going to have warm water with me at all times so that I can just be sipping on some warm water. I also have a spray for my throat to alleviate the tension.

Jeno: Because we have a lot of intense choreo this time around, I'm going to bring a foam roller with me on tour. I'm just going to have it so I can stretch any of the sore muscles that I have or any of it to prevent any injury of the muscles. Yes, I'm just going to make sure I have a foam roller with me.

TV : You're doing bigger venues and a handful of cities and countries that you've never been to before, like Colombia, Oakland, and the Netherlands. Is there a stop or a venue that you're particularly excited to perform at?

Haechan: This is a great chance for us to meet a lot of fans abroad and I'm really excited for the chance to meet fans in places that we've never been before. And I just want to say anywhere our fans are, NCT Dream will go there, we'll try to be there.

TV : Do you have time to explore the cities you perform at at all?

Mark: [ Nods .]

Chenle: Well, I plan on playing basketball in every city. [ Smiles .]

TV : I know Chenle already said a couple, and Jeno as well, but can you give me the essentials that you absolutely need while touring? It can be supplements, clothes, beauty, video games, whatever. Give me your simplified packing list, just one or two things from each of you.

Mark: I like to bring some supplements as well, like antibiotics, vitamins, things like that. And I like my earphones… And a book!

Jaemin: I always carry my shower filter, a heating pad…

Haechan: [ Laughs .]

Jaemin: And then meds and vitamins, and a humidifier.

Chenle: Humidifiers are essential for being on tour. But bringing along the humidifier can be a bit bulky, so I like to request one in all the cities I go to because it's very good for the throat as well.

Jaemin: And my skin care. Cosmetics.

Jisung: I like to bring along a Bluetooth speaker, and I always bring along this aurora mood light. I've never actually used it, but I just bring it along.

Haechan: Bath salts for me. I really like taking baths.

TV: What if the hotel doesn't have a bathtub?

Haechan: Then, I can at least just try to smell the nice scent. [ Laughs .]

All: [ Laugh .]

Jeno: I always bring my iPad, because I spend long hours on the plane and I always make sure to download dramas or movies to watch.

TV : You're all still very young, but you've been on the public eye for a lot of years, what has been the biggest challenge or the biggest change that you have noticed when it comes to your priorities and what you value the most both in and outside of work since your debut?

Mark: I think we started at a very young age and we were given a lot of tasks and a lot of schedules to go through. And I think at that time, we were just very hard-working, responsible players in the game. But now I feel like we are at the level where we are more conscious of how we want to express ourselves on stage and who we are as artists and players. So I think that's the biggest difference for us as a team and individually, we all know how to and why we want to express ourselves more and I think that brings more of our colors to whatever we do. And I think we're still growing in that sense. And mainly other than that, I think I could see how much we've grown with our fans as well. And that's something that I always, it's very touching to see that and we're still on the way too. So, in all those senses, I think we've grown a lot.

TV : If you had to describe your “colors” back then and now, which words would you choose?

Jaemin: Personally, I think in the past, I was just a cute child and now I am very enthusiastic and positive.

Mark: I think we were… children. And now we're… grown children.

TV : [ Laughs .] Not adults yet?

Mark: Not adults, but we're grown children.

TV : I feel like that growth that you speak about is really palpable in your latest EP, Dream()scape . I think it's very different from anything that you have done in the past and darker. As you test out new sounds and new influences, is there a genre or a vibe that all of you feel most comfortable or at home with sonically just pertaining to music?

Jisung: As a team, I think we're very good at doing concepts that have this, not sad, but beautifully sad vibe. Individually, as well, I think we are good at portraying that beautiful sadness.

Chenle: Beautiful sadness, that's it.

TV : You're going to spend the majority of the latter half of the year on the road. And I know that doesn't leave much space to do anything else, but is there anything on your bucket list that you want to cross off before the end of the year? It can be as a group or as a person. Is there something that you want to 100% achieve in 2024?

Haechan: I want to go snowboarding with all my members.

Jisung: It's probably not going to happen.

TV : He's manifesting.

Jeno: I want to find a new hobby for myself that I could do in my free time.

TV : Are you close to finding it?

Jeno: [ Pauses to think. ] No, I’m still looking for it.

Chenle: Basketball?

Jeno: Nope.

Chenle: These days, I've been working on taking care of my ankle. I've been hurt pretty often and I've learned that my core and overall my other muscles are still a bit weak, so my goal is to work on overall muscles so that it's less pressure for my ankle.

Jaemin: These days, I'm preparing my own photo exhibition with the photos that I take, and one of my hopes and goals is to open this exhibition all over the world.

Mark: Well, I think we should take the time to go on a vacation together. Even if it was just for a night outside of the city.

TV : Make it a bit more than one night. At least two nights.

Mark: If the schedule allows!

Jisung: I want to go to a very cold area such as Northern Europe, go to a hot spring and see the northern lights.

TV : That’s also on my bucket list as well for this year. I think that's everything. Is there anything else that you want to add for fans that are planning to travel and see you abroad or just a general message for fans?

Haechan: For fans who've been waiting a long time for us and through this tour — and because there'll be fans who see us in person for the first time — we're really excited to see you, and we hope to meet all your expectations and all the hopes that you've had for us. So, just please wait for us, stay happy and healthy, and continue to support and love us. Thank you!

NCT DREAM rolled out the dates for their upcoming 2024 world tour on Wednesday (May 8), with dates in Latin American, the U.S and Europe as part of their 2024 NCT DREAM World Tour <The Dream Show 3 : Dream( )Scape>.

According to a release, the tour is the group’s biggest global run to date, with tickets for the U.S. gigs going on sale with a Weverse fan club presale beginning on May 16, followed by a general onsale kicking off on May 17 at 3 p.m. local time here . Tickets for the Latin America swing will also start with a Weverse fan club presale beginning on May 13 (check local listings for more information), while the European Weverse presale will launch on May 15, followed by a general onsale beginning on May 17 at 10 a.m. local time (check local listings).

NCT — comprised of members JAEMIN, JISUNG, JENO, RENJUN, HAECHAN, MARK and CHENLE — recently released the video for “ Smoothie ,” the lead single from their just-released DREAM( )SCAPE  EP.

Following a run of 18 sold-out shows across North America last month, rising star Mk.gee announces his world tour. The expansive new run will see him traveling across North America again to perform in new cities and returning to play exponentially bigger venues in cities he reached on his spring tour. In addition to his North American dates, Mk.gee will be traveling to Europe and the UK, capitalizing on the momentum from his venue upgrades in London earlier this year, which also saw sold-out success. Last night, to tease the impending tour announcement, Mk.gee shared a live visual of his performance of “Breakthespell” from one of his two sold-out shows at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. The video captures the raw and enchanting energy of his live performance, earning high praise from Billboard , which described it as “a must-see for concert lovers.” Mk.gee’s performances with bandmates Andrew Aged and Zach Sekoff have been widely praised for their captivating presence, embodying the beguiling nature of the songs from his critically acclaimed debut album, Two Star & The Dream Police . Mk.gee’s alchemy of guitar sounds has been the centerpiece of his live shows, showcased on standout tracks that have become fan favorites such as “Candy,” “Are You Looking Up,” and “Alesis.”

DPR announce 2024 ‘The Dream Reborn’ world tour

DPR Ian , DPR Cream and DPR Artic – members of the label Dream Perfect Regime – have announced their upcoming 2024 ‘The Dream Reborn’ world tour, featuring concerts in Asia, the US, Europe and more.

The three DPR members will be heading on a massive 29-date world tour this year, featuring legs in North America, Latin America and Europe, as well as upcoming Asia-Pacific dates. It’ll kick off in July 2024, with a two-night show at the Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea.

In September and October, DPR Ian, DPR Cream and DPR Artic will bring their tour to North American, with 12 shows in the US and two Canadian concerts. They include performances in cities such as Vancouver, Denver, Boston and more.

Thereafter, the trio will head to Latin America for a four-date leg, with shows in Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Santiago and Buenos Aires in mid-October. The Europe leg will start in late-October, running into November, with nine concerts in eight different countries.

Tickets to the US concerts of DPR’s 2024 ‘The Dream Reborn’ world tour will go on sale June 14 at 10am local time via Ticketmaster . Tickets to the other legs of the tour will also go on sale at the same time, via various local ticketing services.

7 surprising facts about dreams — why we have them and what they mean

I had a nightmare last night.

It began like many of my dreams do – I was on vacation with my extended family. This time, we were in Australia, visiting family friends in a big house. Things took a turn when — in some way that I can’t quite explain — I got mixed up in this Australian family’s jewelry theft and smuggling operation. And I lied about it in front of my relatives, to protect myself and my co-conspirators. Before I woke up, I was terrified I’d be sent to prison.

The dream seems bizarre, but when I pick the narrative apart, there are clear connections to my waking life. For instance, I recently listened to a podcast where a pair of fancy hairpins suspiciously go missing during a family gathering. Moreover, I’m moving tomorrow and still have packing to do. When the movers arrive in the morning, if I haven't finished packing, I'll face the consequences of my lack of preparedness – a crime, at least to my subconscious.

Dr. Rahul Jandial, neurosurgeon, neuroscientist and author of This is Why You Dream: What Your Sleeping Brain Reveals About Your Waking Life , says the major themes and images of vivid dreams like these are worth paying attention to, and trying to derive meaning from. (For me, I decided that the next time I have to move, I’m taking the day before off!)

I spoke with Dr. Jandial about what else we can learn from our dreams, including some of modern science’s most remarkable findings, and theories, about the dreaming brain.

1. Dreams are not random

From dream diaries recorded in ancient Egypt and China to reports from anthropologists in the Amazon, to surveys of modern Americans, evidence shows our dreams have a lot in common. For example, being chased and falling are pretty consistent.

“Reports of nightmares and erotic dreams are nearly universal,” Jandial says, while people rarely report dreaming about math. Jandial says the lack of math makes sense because the part of your brain primarily responsible for logic — the prefrontal cortex — is typically not involved in dreaming.

2. Our brains are super active when we dream

Jandial learned something fundamental about dreams in the midst of performing brain surgery.

It was awake surgery – he’d numbed the scalp and partially opened the skull. (The brain does not feel pain). Jandial was operating on the left temporal lobe, where language is typically located. Working carefully to avoid damage, he went millimeter by millimeter, stimulating the neurons, and asking the patient to count to ten at each spot.

But after one such zap of electricity, Jandial’s patient experienced a nightmare that had recurred for him since childhood.

Research has since confirmed that nightmares, and all dreams, arise from brain activity. “Now we know from different measurements of electricity and metabolic usage, the sleeping-dreaming brain is burning hot. It's sparking with electricity. We might be asleep, but the brain is on fire,” Jandial says.

3. When you first wake up, or while you're drifting off, is fertile time for creativity

Salvador Dali had a method for capturing his thoughts just as he was falling asleep, which Jandial recounts in This is Why You Dream . The artist would sit in a chair holding a large key above a plate on the floor. When he nodded off, the key would drop on the plate and wake him up. Then he’d sketch what he remembered from the last few moments of sleep – an inspiration for his surrealist paintings. Brain imaging studies support the potential of sleep-entry as a moment of insight, says Jandial.

Fortunately for those of us who prefer to fall asleep and stay there, thank you very much, you can also get inspiration from your dreams when you first wake up. “I get all my ideas when I wake slowly,” Jandial says. He writes down what he remembers in the first few minutes after waking, before checking the news or Instagram. It’s not all great stuff, “But when there are good ideas, it's from that time. It's not from two o'clock with my espresso,” he says.

4. Nightmares? Write a new script

Jandial says nightmares around occasional stressful events, like my dream about the jewelry heist – are usually not cause for concern. But if you’re stuck in a loop of recurring fearful dreams, there is something you can try: Imagery Rehearsal Therapy.

This is something you can do with a therapist. “If [a patient has] a recurrent nightmare of an explosion or an airplane crashing, they'll go to the therapist to draw out the map of the dream, the dreamscape, if you will, and then they'll rehearse that the airplane landed safely,” or that they arrived home from a drive instead of crashing, Jandial explains. After time, he says many patients see their nightmares change.

5. Dreams about cheating are normal. They don’t mean there's something wrong with your relationship

In surveys, a majority of people report erotic dreams. And for people in relationships, these dreams contain “high rates of infidelity, whether people report being in healthy relationships or unhealthy relationships,” Jandial says.

But sexy dreams have rules too. “When you look at the pattern of erotic dreams, the acts seem to be wild, but the characters are surprisingly narrow. Celebrities, even family members, repellent bosses; it's a small collection of people as a pattern.” Jandial and others theorize that having sexual dreams about people familiar to us may be a feature our brains evolved to keep us open to procreation and increase the likelihood of the species’ survival.

6. Near the end of life, dreams can provide comfort

Treating patients at City of Hope cancer center in Los Angeles, Jandial observes a phenomenon he calls “dreams to the rescue.” For some patients near the end of their lives, “even though the day is filled with struggle, the dreams are of reconciliation, of hope, of positive emotions. I was surprised to find that end-of-life dreams are a common thing, and they lean positive.”

Jandial says there’s evidence that death may come with one final dream. “Once the heart stops, with the last gush of blood up the carotid [artery] to the brain, the brain's electricity explodes in the minute or two after cardiac death…Those patterns look like expansive electrical brainwave patterns of dreaming and memory recall,” Jandial says.

7. Dreams can be ‘a portal to your inner self’ — and mental health

Everyone has anxiety dreams from time to time. Some are literal, like dreaming you’re on a podium naked when you actually have to give a speech the next day, says Jandial. But others can be more symbolic, and these are worth tuning in to.

Jandial remembers one he had during the pandemic. In waking life, he’d just learned to sail. In the dream he was sailing a boat and, “there was a massive waterfall,” he recounts. “And I was sailing horizontally and I had to constantly keep the helm, or the wheel, up-river just to go straight and not fall off.”

He interprets it as his brain’s way of helping him process a difficult time. He was raising teenagers and working as a cancer surgeon amid COVID fears. “There were wars on many fronts for me at that time. And what I walked away with is just by avoiding going all over the waterfall, you're doing it.”

He says if you have a powerful dream, it’s worth thinking about why. “Dreams with a strong emotion and a powerful central image, those are ones not to ignore,” he says. “The dreaming brain is serving a function, and if it gives you a nugget of an emotional and visual dream, reflect on that. That's a portal to yourself that no therapist can even get to.”

And repeated anxiety dreams, he says “I think that's something to pay attention to. That might be a vital sign for your mental health.”
