Welcome and sincere service by receptionist Mr. Vasanth on duty 15 & 16 September, my two days staycation. The two young Malay women on night duty at the reception were fun and happy people making light hearted greetings with me , an elderly woman over 80 years of age. White Olive dining room also had Aswin, a young Indian waiter of four months from India, so polite and with a lovely smiling face. The hotel was very clean, my hotel room of excellent standard, spacious. Nearby were short walks ( 1-6 minutes) to a long established beach club and a unique restaurant. Thank you for a lovely experience.

New Hotel in Ipoh
Its brand new hotel and I am satisfy with the room condition. Here i would like to give suggestion to hotel to make customer more convenience: Add on 1 dustbin in room, need a chair, towel hooks in bathroom. Soundproof is not that good and can hear clearly those vehicle passing by. Location is very quiet and dark during night time.

1. Started to book with trip.com 3-4 years ago and their customer service is very responsive on the chat box section. 2. The customer service is able to handle inquiries and concern professionally and helpful manner. Definitely reliable when it comes to booking a trip with them, regardless flight or stay. 3. Their loyalty program is worth it and the reward ecosystem of leaving review or writing a trip post is growing strong. 4. Ai build in is innovative in planning trips but could be better in years to come. 5. Excellent service with outstanding customer support.
Most travel sites are similar. They offer similar search results and prices. But a few things puts trip.com apart. First, they are the only ones who consider all Chinese flights and hotels. They handle mixing Chinese and foreign passengers marvelously, offering the relevant name and ID fields. They are the only ones who get the right room number recommendation when traveling with small kids. And their customer service is just miles apart from everything else out there. Their support team is really the reason I keep coming back. Short waiting times and immediate help at the first call level. Keep it up, and you'll keep me as a loyal customer.

Cancelling flights
Cancelling flights, take ages to refund, you won't get any solution until they give you a manager which will take hours. The little you save using their "service" is not worth the time and money you will eventually lose by having to ask those incompetents for a refund and buying new tickets with an actual airline instead of 3rd party crap. Plus the time spent going to Airhelp. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Great offers with affordable prices
It offers me many great affordable package and options. The app is easy to navigate too and I can easily book for both my family or a group of friends. Everything about the hotel is great
Everything about the hotel is great. Great location. Room is new and bicely furnished....very Clean and comfy . Facilities are great. Hotel staffs were great. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Quality and tasty food. Great place to stay if you want to experience KL. Lrt is just walking distance from hotel. Plentybof shops around the hotel.

The most bizarre check-in (ultimately…
Prices were reasonable given the super short term purchase but it was with a layover. Tickets were received after exactly 24h from purchase. When trying to check in online via trip.com: only their "Smart Check-in" option was available for the price of 3.30chf which consisted of ordering the boarding pass to be sent my email 12h before take-off. I put my credit card details and the last page was "Your option is sold out", whatever that means. I will need to do an in person check-in at the counter, likely for extra costs.

customer service sucks! due to their webpage bug their booking application connected middle name of my son with his last name and they sent me incorrect booking reservation. the chicky clerk called me to tell me that the fees would be applicable to correct THEIR system mistake. I told him I should not be paying for their system mistakes and to fix the mistake as they should. I contacted Easyjet and they fixed the problem within minutes. This is a rigid Chinese company with rigid rules and I wouldn't exclude that they bugged the system intentionally to extort extra money from the clients. I dealt before with other companies and usually this issue is solved within 5 minutes. AVOID trip.com. Book directly with the carrier

I used trip.com to book an earlier…
I used trip.com to book an earlier flight from Prague to London on British Airways. My original flight was leaving at 22:00 on 19 September my new flight 14:00. It looked like a solid booking until I received the confirmation for 19 October!!! Now they’re only offering to refund $12.70 out of the $246.50 I paid. This is a massive scam! They are claiming that the $91 baggage fee is non refundable. They are claiming a $33 non refundable carrier fee. Trip.com has now lost any further business from me and I will make it my mission to spread the word about their despicable cancellation policy.

It seems like scam. We bought the tickets yesterday, today received the message that flight was cancelled and that we can change the flight. But following the link to change the flight it says it is not possible due to the cancellation policy. When you click on the cancellation policy it states that the tickets could be changed only the day before we received the message! Absurd! Around 300 euros disappeared?

Never again
No confirmation after booking a flight but the money is taken from my account. The customer service told me i have no booking so bought a new ticket and discover i really had one beforehand. Chinese company based in Singapore, no office in France and think it's the same anywhere else.... No way to be paid back in case of problem.

If you are alone, yes you can book here, if you are a family more than 5 please do not, a lot of hazards and problems to overcome, separated seat to different carriage, and arranged a 2 year child to a carriage far away from adult, no. 6 and no 11 carriage, is near? Misleading Info and Zero Support - Avoid! Trip.com completely ruined my trip. Three hours before my flight, I got a call saying it was ADJUSTED by an hour, but when I arrived, EasyJet said check-in was closed, and I missed the flight. Trip.com provided no help and refused to cancel my return flight. I also lost my accommodation and car rental due to their error. Terrible service and zero support – avoid using them!

There’s no problem with the hotel…
There’s no problem with the hotel booking but at the same time I used to book high-speed rail ticket from trip.com too. Your system is totally bullshxt, didn’t get any notification when our trip was canceled earlier a day ago, and we got that information only when we already arrived the station and it’s almost 10pm. That’s totally a mess for us since it’s a train from Hk to Chinamainland and we are foreigner. Since then we have to rearrange everything because all the tickets were sold out!!! We had to go to Shenzhen with our two big luggage and walk through all the customs and luggage check, and finally bought a train ticket to Guang zhou, and this took us 3-4 hrs! Really feeling “grateful” to have this big surprise for us, rubbish services and will never use this again.

Fight from KUL to URC
6 of us booked a trip to Urumqi, flying via Fuzhou. We chose Xiamen Airline. While booking the tickets, we were forced to break our booking into 4pax and 2 pax because the airline doesn't allow booking exceeding 5 pax. After a few days, we were told the flight via Fuzhou has been cancelled. As all our ground arrangements have been made, we opted to fly via Xiamen instead of a refund. Having made the changes, the seats selection we unavailable and we had to endure seats at the last few rows of the flight with the aisle seats we wanted unavailable. On the return leg, we flew via Fuzhou as what we have booked. However, our selected seats were again given away. We contacted Trip customer service hoping that at least for the flight from Fuzhou to Kuala Lumpur, the seated we selected would at last be available. We were even given assurance by Trip agent that it would be made available. However upon checking in, we again we not given our selected seats. Given a choice, I wouldn't want to place our trust on Trip. It has been rather disappointing.

My Personal Experience
I'm giving Trip.com a pretty decent rating—see below. But why? Well, I used it very often while living in China and traveling around Asia. I had minimal issues with it.
As I mentioned above, I really enjoyed my experience using the phone app. It made mobile bookings easy, and I found all my tickets without hassle.
I've booked several types of reservations with Trip.com, including cheap flights between Asian countries, train tickets between mainland Chinese cities, and discount hotels in a couple of Asian cities.
I did run into some hiccups with my bookings but I had an okay time with customer service. Yes, sometimes it was frustrating because the worker's English wasn't stellar, but they got me what I needed. Whether it was a refund or changing my flight tickets for a fee, I could do it by calling its 24/7 customer support line!
That said, I don't use it as often when traveling around North America or Europe!

Unfortunately, my experience with trip.com has been very disappointing. Just a few days before I was supposed to check-in, I received a message saying there were issues with my personal data, which was highly inconvenient since I was out of town and not constantly checking my emails. What's worse is that this issue could have been avoided if they had asked for data confirmation before making the payment, instead of just a few days before the flight. This reflects poor organization and even negligence on their part.Additionally, rather than helping to resolve the issue, they simply blamed the airline without offering any solutions or assistance. This situation has caused a lot of frustration, and as a result, I cannot recommend their services under any circumstances.

Welcome and sincere service by receptionist Mr. Vasanth on duty 15 & 16 September, my two days staycation. The two young Malay women on night duty at the reception were fun and happy people making light hearted greetings with me , an elderly woman over 80 years of age. White Olive dining room also had Aswin, a young Indian waiter of four months from India, so polite and with a lovely smiling face. The hotel was very clean, my hotel room of excellent standard, spacious. Nearby were short walks ( 1-6 minutes) to a long established beach club and a unique restaurant. Here i would like to give suggestion to hotel to make customer more convenience: Add on 1 dustbin in room, need a chair, towel hooks in bathroom. Most travel sites are similar. They offer similar search results and prices. But a few things puts trip.com apart. First, they are the only ones who consider all Chinese flights and hotels. They handle mixing Chinese and foreign passengers marvelously, offering the relevant name and ID fields. They are the only ones who get the right room number recommendation when traveling with small kids. And their customer service is just miles apart from everything else out there. Their support team is really the reason I keep coming back. Short waiting times and immediate help at the first call level. Keep it up, and you'll keep me as a loyal customer.

Cancelling flights
Cancelling flights, take ages to refund, you won't get any solution until they give you a manager which will take hours. The little you save using their "service" is not worth the time and money you will eventually lose by having to ask those incompetents for a refund and buying new tickets with an actual airline instead of 3rd party crap. The most bizarre check-in (ultimately…
Prices were reasonable given the super short term purchase but it was with a layover. Tickets were received after exactly 24h from purchase. When trying to check in online via trip.com: only their "Smart Check-in" option was available for the price of 3.30chf which consisted of ordering the boarding pass to be sent my email 12h before take-off. I put my credit card details and the last page was "Your option is sold out", whatever that means. I will need to do an in person check-in at the counter, likely for extra costs.

customer service sucks! due to their webpage bug their booking application connected middle name of my son with his last name and they sent me incorrect booking reservation. the chicky clerk called me to tell me that the fees would be applicable to correct THEIR system mistake. I told him I should not be paying for their system mistakes and to fix the mistake as they should. I contacted Easyjet and they fixed the problem within minutes. This is a rigid Chinese company with rigid rules and I wouldn't exclude that they bugged the system intentionally to extort extra money from the clients. I dealt before with other companies and usually this issue is solved within 5 minutes. AVOID trip.com. Book directly with the carrier

I used trip.com to book an earlier flight from Prague to London on British Airways. My original flight was leaving at 22:00 on 19 September my new flight 14:00. It looked like a solid booking until I received the confirmation for 19 October!!! Now they’re only offering to refund $12.70 out of the $246.50 I paid. This is a massive scam! They are claiming that the $91 baggage fee is non refundable. They are claiming a $33 non refundable carrier fee. Trip.com has now lost any further business from me and I will make it my mission to spread the word about their despicable cancellation policy.

Should I Ask for Reviews on Google or TripAdvisor?
At Odysys, we get this question a lot. Most innkeepers know that asking guests to write online reviews is an essential part of attracting new guests and keeping their brand name strong. Just look at the results of our past Odysys survey: well over half of innkeepers actively solicit reviews for their property. However, many innkeepers are also unsure of which online review platform is the most important to their business. Though TripAdvisor is the big name in the industry when it comes to reviews, Google reviews may provide the best opportunity for direct bookings. Here’s why.
Reviews are SO Important to Bookings
Online reviews have the power to make or break your property. Travelers trust online reviews just as much as they trust reviews made by people they know. 76% of travelers are willing to pay more for a hotel or bed & breakfast with positive online reviews. A simple 1-point increase in your review score can allow you to charge more for rooms while also attracting more guests to your property. If these stats don’t convince of the importance of online reviews, nothing will.
Not All Reviews Are Created Equal
However, not all online reviews are created equal. You are likely getting online reviews across a wide variety of platforms: TripAdvisor, Google, Expedia, Yelp, Booking.com, even Facebook. While these are all important, your main focus should be on receiving a large number of positive reviews on your Google Business Listing.
The simple fact is that Google highly values the reviews made ON Google for your business. These reviews subsequently influence your ranking in the Google map more than those made on other websites. Positive reviews on Google will help you rank higher on the results page. Sure, reviews from Expedia, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, ect. factor into the map rankings on Google. They just don’t matter nearly as much as the reviews made directly on Google.
How It Works
Google has an built-in system for vetting the reviewer. When someone leaves a review on Google, Google already knows all about the reviewer. Reviewers have to be logged into Google to leave a review. Therefore, Google knows if they’ve left other reviews, if they’ve searched for your property before, and so on. Google trusts this “first party data” more than it trusts “3rd party data” coming in from the Booking.coms of the world.
According to Moz’s study of local search ranking factors, “quantity of Native Google reviews” is a huge factor. Keep in mind they also value:
- Velocity of reviews (ie- how frequently reviews are coming in over time)
- The sentiment of reviews (ie-positive, negative, etc.)
- Keywords in reviews
- The actual rating (of course)
How to Get Reviews on Google
So what do you do with all this information? Simply make a point of asking your guests for online reviews, especially for Google reviews. There are many ways you can go about this. You can ask them in person upon check-out, in a “post-stay” email or text, or through a card or note left in the guest room. The most important part is that you are doing it.
Our advice is to always give your guests a choice, such as "Please review us on TripAdvisor or Google.” The truth is that people are more familiar with TripAdvisor reviews and may be more comfortable with leaving a review there, but nudging them towards Google as well is worth the effort. The people who already leave frequent Google reviews will be more than happy to do it and those that don’t know how may even ask.
Lastly, do not copy and paste reviews from one review site to another (or do not ask your guests to copy them from one review site to another). Google is capable of identifying this and can use it as a negative ranking factor. You want the reviews on each site to be individual and unique.
Receiving and managing your online reviews can be a stressful and time-consuming process. Sometimes, it can feel like a full-time job. You have to ask your guests for the reviews, monitor the content and quality of your reviews, and take the time to respond to your reviews, both good and bad . Reviews involve a lot of work but it is work that will pay off in the long run. Always make sure you are asking for your reviews and do your best to steer your guests to Google whenever possible. By focusing on positive Google reviews, you can attract new guests to your property, improve the image of your brand, and help your property rank higher on the search results page.

At the heart of this likeable, gently moving Netflix doc is a road trip taken by Will Ferrell and his longtime friend and collaborator, Harper Steele, a trans woman who transitioned later in life. Ferrell embraces his friend’s identity without hesitation, but like many would, he has some awkward questions. So, when Steele decides to undertake the kind of road trip that she’s taken throughout her life, albeit for the first time as Harper, Will (and the cameras) come along too.
The biggest strength of the movie (which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival) is the way that it opens up a dialogue between friends, and makes space for understanding, with Ferrell emerging as a sensitive, empathetic inquisitor.
Director Josh Greenbaum (Kristen Wiig comedy Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, George Lazenby doc Becoming Bond) follows without intruding, or making the route feel too predetermined. It’s a template that you could well imagine working for other subjects in need of friendly, open dialogue.
By its very nature, it’s hard not to occasionally wonder about how far this ‘candid’ doc has been edited and orchestrated – not least in the moments where Ferrell decides to dig into the dress-up box, or at the very beginning of the film when he riffs (amusingly) on the format’s tropes. Meanwhile, a couple of brands are mentioned so frequently as to give the unwelcome whiff of product placement. But when raw emotions are on display, Will & Harper feels authentic – as do Will and Harper.

It seems like scam. We bought the tickets yesterday, today received the message that flight was cancelled and that we can change the flight. But following the link to change the flight it says it is not possible due to the cancellation policy. When you click on the cancellation policy it states that the tickets could be changed only the day before we received the message! Absurd! Around 300 euros disappeared?

Never again
No confirmation after booking a flight but the money is taken from my account. The customer service told me i have no booking so bought a new ticket and discover i really had one beforehand. Chinese company based in Singapore, no office in France and think it's the same anywhere else.... No way to be paid back in case of problem.

Misleading Info and Zero Support - Avoid! Trip.com completely ruined my trip. Three hours before my flight, I got a call saying it was ADJUSTED by an hour, but when I arrived, EasyJet said check-in was closed, and I missed the flight. Trip.com provided no help and refused to cancel my return flight. I also lost my accommodation and car rental due to their error. Terrible service and zero support – avoid using them!

There’s no problem with the hotel…
There’s no problem with the hotel booking but at the same time I used to book high-speed rail ticket from trip.com too. Your system is totally bullshxt, didn’t get any notification when our trip was canceled earlier a day ago, and we got that information only when we already arrived the station and it’s almost 10pm. That’s totally a mess for us since it’s a train from Hk to Chinamainland and we are foreigner. Since then we have to rearrange everything because all the tickets were sold out!!! We had to go to Shenzhen with our two big luggage and walk through all the customs and luggage check, and finally bought a train ticket to Guang zhou, and this took us 3-4 hrs! Really feeling “grateful” to have this big surprise for us, rubbish services and will never use this again.

Fight from KUL to URC
6 of us booked a trip to Urumqi, flying via Fuzhou. We chose Xiamen Airline. While booking the tickets, we were forced to break our booking into 4pax and 2 pax because the airline doesn't allow booking exceeding 5 pax. After a few days, we were told the flight via Fuzhou has been cancelled. As all our ground arrangements have been made, we opted to fly via Xiamen instead of a refund. Having made the changes, the seats selection we unavailable and we had to endure seats at the last few rows of the flight with the aisle seats we wanted unavailable. On the return leg, we flew via Fuzhou as what we have booked. However, our selected seats were again given away. We contacted Trip customer service hoping that at least for the flight from Fuzhou to Kuala Lumpur, the seated we selected would at last be available. We were even given assurance by Trip agent that it would be made available. However upon checking in, we again we not given our selected seats. Given a choice, I wouldn't want to place our trust on Trip. It has been rather disappointing.

As the rights and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community have expanded over the past 50 or so years, one part of that group, transgender people, has found it more difficult to be considered a normal part of society. Every new instance of putting the story of a transgender person on screen, whether fictional or real, increases their exposure to those who might never have encountered them before.
That makes a documentary like Will & Harper (a title which seems to take inspiration from the groundbreaking TV series Will & Grace ) valuable. The fact that the “Will” in the title is comedian/actor Will Ferrell helps, as he and longtime friend, Harper Steele, embark on a road trip across the United States soon after Harper reveals her transition from a man to a woman.
Harper, who met Will while they were both at Saturday Night Live in the late '90s/early 2000s, decided at the relatively older age of 59 that she could no longer pretend to be someone she wasn’t. The idea of the road trip – and of filming it – came about so that the friends could reconnect, learn more about each other given the momentous change, and do a lot of the things that Harper enjoyed doing by herself prior to her transition.
Director Josh Greenbaum and his crew attach a camera to the hood of Harper’s old Jeep Wagoneer to record her and Will's conversations as they traverse many states, starting in New York and heading west. Their connection to SNL means that many of the show’s current and former stars show up in one form or another along the way, including Tina Fey, Seth Meyers, Tim Meadows, Lorne Michaels, Molly Shannon, Kristen Wiig, and Will Forte, among others.
While their love and respect for Harper is obvious, Harper has trepidation over how strangers in middle America will react to her. The presence of Will (and the cameras) gives her perhaps easier acceptance than someone not traveling with a famous person, but there are still more than a few uncomfortable stops, particularly when they get to the South (Texas does not come off well, but surprisingly Oklahoma does).
Those scenes with everyday Americans are interesting (if occasionally a bit contrived), but the heart of the film is the friendship between Will and Harper. Their conversations range from silly to heartfelt, but there is a genuineness to them that can’t be faked. Harper invites Will to ask her any questions he has about her transition, resulting in insightful – and, often, funny – answers. Their friendship was clearly already strong, but it gets palpably stronger during the 17-day journey.
There are a lot of messages one could get from a film like this, but it’s notable for how apolitical it is. Will and Harper have encounters with Eric Holcomb, the Republican governor of Indiana, as well as a few people wearing MAGA hats, but their positions on transgender people goes unremarked upon. The friends gently correct people who mis-gender Harper, but they never express any animosity towards them. It’s a movie about exploration, with education as a side benefit.
While it might be too strong to say that Will & Harper is a world-changing film, it adds another layer to the story of transgender people as a whole. It also shows the unconditional love between two friends, a lesson that is heartening in divided times.
Will & Harper is now playing in select theaters; it will debut on Netflix on September 27.

Stars of dallas tv show return to southfork ranch for grand reunion.
Fans of the iconic TV soap opera Dallas will get a chance to be up-close-and-personal with some of the show's stars during the Southfork Experience, a three-day event to be held at the iconic Southfork Ranch in Parker.
Taking place October 25-27, it will consist of a variety of events, including a VIP Cocktail Reception at Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel, a meet-and-greet at Southfork Ranch, a chance to break bread with the actors, and more.
Led by actress Sheree J. Wilson, who played April Stevens on the original run of the show (which ran from 1978-1991), the event is scheduled to include appearances by stars like Linda Gray, Steve Kanaly, Patrick Duffy, Charlene Tilton, Audrey Landers, Jack Scalia, Jenilee Harrison, Joan Van Ark, Cathy Podewell, and Christopher Atkins.
While some of the cast members have returned to Dallas over the years, it's rare to see a gathering of this size or scope.
In addition to the meet-and-greet, guests can purchase an additional ticket to join the celebrities for a full-blown Ewing BBQ on October 26, which will include a concert by Josh Henderson (who played J.R. Ewing’s son in the Dallas reboot series from 2012-2014) and a live auction, with proceeds benefiting Yellow Rose Gala Foundation for Progressive Multiple Sclerosis research.
There will also be a brunch with cast members on October 27, as well as tours of the property.
This represents the first big event involving the Dallas stars since a 40th anniversary reunion in 2018 — one that earned national attention, so don't go thinking this is not a big deal.
Tickets for the event are now on sale , starting at $65 for daily passes on October 26 and 27. Other events, as well as autograph sessions and photo ops, cost extra.
