Snoop Dogg has announced the rescheduled 2023 dates for his ‘I Wanna Thank Me’ UK and Ireland tour. The hip-hop icon will kick off the arena jaunt at Belfast’s SSE Arena on March 14, followed by dates in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Dublin, Leeds, and Birmingham.

Snoop will be joined by his peers and collaborators Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Obie Trice and D12. Irish rap duo Versatile are also hitting the road with the icons of the West Coast scene.

Meanwhile, Snoop and Dr. Dre have collaborated on a new album called “Missionary.” The hip-hop idols have teamed up on their first new music in three decades.

He spilled in October: “Me and Dr. Dre have been working on an album for the past two months.”

Asked about the sex position moniker, he replied: “The first album was ‘Doggystyle’…”

The album title confirmation comes after Eminem shared a snap in the studio with the pair in September and captioned it: “Just a few bros…hangin out.”

Snoop and Dre reunited earlier this year for an epic performance at the Super Bowl halftime show – along with Eminem , Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar . And following whispers that the pair were in the studio, Snoop told Entertainment Tonight : “We’re cooking up a little something. I don’t wanna talk about it too much, but we’re back together again.

“It’s been 30 years since we worked on a record, and we’re doin’ something, we’re workin’ on something.”

Snoop shot to fame in 1992 when he featured on Dre’s debut solo single, “Deep Cover” and his solo LP The Chronic .

Earlier this year, Snoop bought Death Row Records, the label that launched his career. The rapper – whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr – acquired the company from MNRK Music Group for an undisclosed sum.

The 51-year-old megastar said in February: “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value. “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”

Snoop Dogg’s UK and Ireland 2023 dates are:

Snoop Dogg cancels plans for ‘I Wanna Thank Me’ UK tour

Snoop Dogg cancels plans for ‘I Wanna Thank Me’ UK tour

Snoop Dogg has shelved his plans to tour the United Kingdom later this summer.

Originally, Snoop was due to arrive in the UK in 2020 to promote his 2019 album, I Wanna Thank Me , but, the pandemic reset his plans. The dates were rescheduled for 2022, however, Snoop’s work commitments have meant his tour has now been cancelled.

His tour was scheduled to start in Glasgow at the OVO Arena and Snoop planned to visit to Birmingham, London, Leeds, and Manchester before concluding in Belfast on September 16th.

Snoop’s team explained the decision on social media and wrote: “Dear friends and fans, due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, including family obligations and upcoming tv and film projects, Snoop Dogg regrets he is cancelling all upcoming non-U.S. tour dates for the remainder of 2022.

“He was excited to see his fans around the world and apologies to all that had already made plans to see his show. He looks forward to rescheduling dates in the future.”

It’s not just the United Kingdom which will be missing out on Snoop, he’s also had to cancel his Australian jaunt, which was due to take place in October and November. However, Perth’s RAC Arena have said it’s “looking likely” the show will go ahead next February, although they are waiting for confirmation.

The Australian leg of Snoop Dogg’s I Wanna Thank Me tour which was set to take place in October and November has also been cancelled. A statement released by Perth’s RAC Arena where Snoop was set to perform says new dates for February 2023 are “looking likely” but yet to be confirmed.

West Coast rap legend Snoop Dogg is heading to the UK in spring 2023 for his rescheduled I Wanna Thank Me tour.

The tour and Snoop Dogg’s 17th album titles come from when the rapper received the Walk of Fame star in 2018. In his speech, Snoop Dogg said: “I want to thank me for believing in me. I want to thank me for doing all this hard work. I wanna thank me for having no days off. I wanna thank me for never quitting. I wanna thank me for always being a giver and trying to give more than I receive. I wanna thank me for trying to do more right than wrong. I wanna thank me for being me at all times.”

If there was anyone to thank for Snoop Dogg’s success, it would certainly be the man himself! With over 23 million albums sold in the United States and 35 million albums sold worldwide, and awards under his belt like the American Music Award and a Primetime Emmy, as well as 17 nominations at the Grammys, Snoop Dogg has undoubtedly put in the work.

Snoop Dogg was discovered by Dr Dre in the early 1990s, and he featured on Dr Dre's debut solo single Deep Cover in 1992. Snoop Dogg’s first album, Doggystyle, hit the number one spot on Billboard's Hip-Hop and Top 200 charts, and produced two widely successful singles, Who Am I (What's My Name)?, and Gin and Juice.

Throughout the noughties, Snoop Dogg continued to bring us hits like Drop It Like It’s Hot with Pharrell Williams, and Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang.

More like this

This year, Snoop Dogg has been busy forming the supergroup Mount Westmore with artists E-40, Too Short, and Ice Cube.

His I Wanna Thank Me UK arena tour was originally scheduled for April 2020, in support of his album and documentary of the same name, but due to COVID, Snoop Dogg had to postpone. The rescheduled shows were supposed to take place in August and September 2022, but he had to delay again, saying there were unforeseen scheduling conflicts.

Now, finally, the I Wanna Thank Me tour is taking place and tickets are still available. Here's everything you need to know.

Snoop Dogg has cancelled all of his upcoming non-US tour dates for the rest of the year due to ‘unforeseen scheduling conflicts’.

The Drop It Like It’s Hot rapper shared a statement via his official social media accounts, voicing his ‘regret’ over the decision as he prepared for ‘family obligations’ as well as future screen work.

With an official caption of ‘From the desk of Snoop Dogg’, the short announcement began: ‘Dear friends and fans, Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, including family obligations and upcoming tv and film projects, Snoop Dogg regrets he is cancelling all upcoming non-U.S. tour dates for the remainder of 2022.’

‘He was excited to see all his fans around the world and apologies to all that had already made plans to see his show,’ it continued.

‘He looks forward to rescheduling dates in the future.’

The message also noted that ticket refunds would be available at the point of purchase for fans that had already bought them.

Confirming that shows were still going ahead in the US, the statement added: ‘Snoop Dogg is still committed to his remaining US tour dates for the rest of 2022.’

‘Thank you for your support and be safe out there ya’ll,’ it concluded.

Snoop, who finished co-presenting ‘US Eurovision’ competition American Song Contest with Kelly Clarkson earlier this month, was due to perform in the UK, Finland, France, Denmark, Germany and Ireland in August and September of this year.

While some fans were naturally disappointed to find out they would have to wait longer to see him perform, many were supportive.

‘Been waiting 2 years 😭,’ lamented one, but another posted: ‘Do whatever you need to do @snoopdogg 🙌🏽 we’ll always respect you🙏🏼’

‘It’s all good sometimes you got to do what you got to do. 💯💯🙌🙌,’ commented one follower.

The 17-time Grammy nominee released his 19th studio album, BODR, in February 2022 after acquiring Death Row Records from MNRK Music Group (formerly eOne Music).

He also revealed in April that he has laid down his parts on a collaboration track with K-Pop superstars BTS .

The rapper has previously found charts success through teaming up with more mainstream pop acts like Justin Timberlake, Pussycat Dolls and Katy Perry , with California Gurls giving him his sole number one on the UK charts so far.

Snoop Dogg has announced the cancellation of his upcoming performances at the Hollywood Bowl , citing “uncertainty” amidst the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The concerts were set to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his 1993 debut studio album “Doggystyle,” produced by Dr. Dre.

While the performances by Snoop Dogg & Friends were originally postponed from June to Oct. 20 and 21 due to the writers strike, they have now been officially canceled, with the rapper affirming his solidarity with striking workers.

Popular on Variety

While the Hollywood strikes do not prohibit music artists from performing, Snoop Dogg has been vocal for months about his solidarity with the actors and writers fighting for better contracts with the studios.

Speaking on a panel in May with Gamma’s Larry Jackson, Snoop Dogg criticized the system that leaves artists receiving unfair pay when their work is immensely popular on streaming services. “The writers are striking because [of] streaming, they can’t get paid. Because when it’s on the platform, it’s not like in the box office,” Snoop said.

He continued to express his frustration during the panel. “I don’t understand how the fuck you get paid off of that shit. Somebody explain to me how you can get a billion streams and not get a million dollars?… That’s the main gripe with a lot of us artists is that we do major numbers… but it don’t add up to the money. Like, where the fuck is the money?”

Snoop Dogg has cancelled all his upcoming international tour dates.

The West Coast rapper was due to play shows that were rescheduled due to COVID-19 at UK and Ireland arenas this summer (see poster above) and Australia later in the year.

However, the rapper took to his Twitter account on May 29 to announce that the concerts would not be going ahead due to "unforeseen scheduling conflicts, including family obligations and upcoming tv and film projects."

"Dear friends and fans, "Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, including family obligations and upcoming tv and film projects, Snoop Dogg regrets he is canceling (sic) all upcoming non-U.S. tour dates for the remainder of 2022. He was excited to see his fans around the world and apologies to all that had already made plans to see his show. He looks forward to rescheduling dates in the future. Ticket refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. "Snoop Dogg is still committed to his remaining us tour dates for the rest of 2022. "Thank you for your support and be safe you there ya'll (sic)."

The trek shared its name with the star's 2019 studio album and accompaying documentary, which also celebrates the 25th anniversary of his career. Since then, he's release two more LPs, 2021's 'From tha Streets 2 tha Suites' and 'BODR' that dropped this February.

Snoop Dogg has cancelled his forthcoming concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

The “Gin and Juice” rapper, 51, was scheduled to perform two nights at the iconic venue to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut, 1993 album Doggystyle .

In a statement posted on social media, Snoop Dogg (real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr) wrote: “We regret to inform you that due to the ongoing strike and the uncertainty of when this will be over, we need to cancel the Hollywood Bowl show.

“We continue to stand in solidarity with all of our brothers and sisters in the WGA and SAG/AFTRA during this difficult time and remain hopeful that the AMPTP will come back to the negotiating table with a REAL proposal and we can all get back to work.”

According to the Hollywood Bowl website, customers who purchased tickets will automatically receive refunds credited to their original payment method.

The shows, produced by Dr Dre, were originally scheduled for late June, but were pushed back to 20-21 October when the TV and film writers’ union went on strike. Snoop Dogg said at the time that he and Dre “stand in solidarity with the writers”.

The actors’ union later followed suit, ordering a strike action on 14 July, effectively grinding Hollywood to a halt.

Among a number of concerns, both unions are fighting for an increase in residuals in the streaming era – compensation paid each time a TV show or movie is played.

Speaking at a panel in May, Snoop Dogg compared writers’ gripes with residuals to artists’ frustrations over music streaming platforms.

“I don’t understand how the f*** you get paid off of that shit. Somebody explain to me how you can get a billion streams and not get a million dollars?… That’s the main gripe with a lot of us artists is that we do major numbers… but it don’t add up to the money. Like, where the f*** is the money?”

Numerous A-listers joined a SAG-AFTRA rally in New York City on Tuesday (25 July), including Jessica Chastain, Brendan Fraser and Bryan Cranston.

Breaking Bad star Cranston gave a rousing speech to the protestors, which took aim at Disney CEO Bob Iger.

Iger had previously made disparaging comments about the combined industry strikes.

Zack Arnold, the editor and associate producer of Netflix’s Cobra Kai , told The Independent that the strike was caused by a “perfect storm” of streaming dominance, which has led to the erosion of residual pay, and the advent of AI in the industry.

The rapper has canceled dates from his latest tour in Arkansas, New York, and Louisiana.

By Ashley Turner - August 5, 2023 06:50 pm EDT

Music fans wanting to see  Snoop Dogg  live may want to check their ticket dates. A statement posted on the venue's website Wednesday morning confirmed that the performances scheduled for August 16 at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas, by Snoop Dogg , Wiz Khalifa, and the Ying Yang Twins  had been canceled . Also, Ticketmaster  noted on its website  that shows scheduled for Friday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, next Tuesday at the Smoothing King Center in New Orleans, and next Thursday at Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana, have all been canceled. "All tickets purchased at the box office or through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. Please allow up to 30 days for the refund to process," Simmons Bank Arena said.

Simmons Bank Arena has not yet announced why the show was canceled. Even as recently as last Thursday, it was still being advertised on social media that a special $30 ticket sale would be held. Snoop Dogg's fans in Jacksonville, Florida, who are planning to attend his show later this month, may also have to wait a while longer for the event. The concert scheduled for the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on Thursday, Aug. 10 was postponed. The postponement was announced Tuesday on  ASM Global's social media accounts for JaxEvents , which runs the organization's events. "Due to circumstances beyond their control, the event organizer has postponed this event. We are working to reschedule this show and will announce the new date as soon as possible," the post read.

A massive 33-city tour produced by Live Nation kicked off on Friday, July 7, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver before making stops across the U.S. in cities such as Atlanta, Houston, and more before wrapping up on Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Irvine FivePoint Amphitheatre in California. Snoop Dogg, T-Pain perform for angry fans in Vegas after Lovers & Friends festival canceled last minute

Snoop Dogg and T-Pain saved the day.

The two rappers put on an impromptu concert at the Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World in Las Vegas on Saturday after the Lovers & Friends music festival was canceled just hours before showtime.

Producers pulled the plug late Friday night due to reports of bad weather.

“Lovers & Friends festival organizers have been monitoring the weather for several days and proactively preparing for a windy Saturday,” they shared on their website late Friday night.

“However, the National Weather Service has now issued a High Wind Warning, including dangerous 30-35 mph sustained winds with gusts potentially more than 60 mph.”

The festival organizers called the last-minute decision to cancel “incredibly heartbreaking” especially as fans had traveled from all over the country and from overseas.

The stellar lineup also included Usher, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Ja Rule, Gwen Stefani, and the Backstreet Boys.

Usher shared on Saturday that he was just as “disappointed” as his fans about the cancellation.

“Mannn…I’m just as disappointed as you are,” he tweeted. “We were getting ready to turn up and celebrate today.”

However, the “Yeah!” singer said he had to “follow the orders of city officials and the National Weather Service for everyone’s protection.”

The Super Bowl performer added that he is standing “strong” in his belief that “everything happens for a reason.”

“I’m sorry we won’t get to see each other today, but know that I am always working on something to express my heartfelt gratitude for each and every one of you who continue to support me,” he said. “I’ll see you soon.”

Fans who purchased tickets directly through Front Gate Tickets will receive a refund within 30 days.
