Disturbed Announce Big 2023 North American Tour With Select Support From Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Deadman + Jinjer

Disturbed have announced the Take Back Your Life tour with special guests Breaking Benjamin , Theory of a Deadman and Jinjer all providing support at select dates.

The 36-date run kicks off on April 27 in Montreal, Quebec with Theory of a Deadman serving as the lone support act at all Canadian stops. Once the tour crosses the border into the U.S., it's Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer who will be onstage each night through the very last show on Sept. 2 in Noblesville, Indiana.

See the complete list of dates directly below and look for tickets to go on sale through Live Nation on Feb. 10 at 10AM local time at this location .

The trek marks Disturbed's first proper tour since 2019, having worked the festival circuit throughout 2022. They'll be out in support of last year's album,  Divisive , which was anchored by three pre-release tracks — "Hey You," Unstoppable" and the title track. The follow-up to  Evolution ,  Divisive hit No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart in its first week while also claiming the No. 1 spots on the outlet's Hard Rock and Alternative Album charts.

Meanwhile, Theory of a Deadman are set to release their new record  Dinosaur on March 17. Breaking Benjamin are still riding high on the back of 2018's  Ember (a reimagined collection of existing songs arrived in 2020 under the title  Aurora ) and Jinjer will continue to tour behind 2021's  Wallflowers .

Today, multi-platinum rock band  Disturbed  announce their 36-date  Take Back Your Life  summer 2023 North American tour   which will kick off at Montreal’s Bell Centre on April 27th (full dates below). The tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature support from Theory of a Deadman in Canada and very special guests Breaking Benjamin & JINJER in select markets in the United States. Disturbed’s eighth full-length album  Divisive  is   out now via  Reprise Records .  Divisive  pulls no punches as a precise, pummeling, and powerful hard rock opus. Over the last year, the quartet cut these ten tracks with producer  Drew Fulk  [Motionless In White, Lil Peep, Highly Suspect] in Nashville, TN. After  Donegan  shared initial ideas with the rest of the group, they locked in like never before with the groove as the backbone. Drummer  Mike Wengren  bolted down some of the strongest and boldest rhythms of their career punctuated by  John Moyer ’s punchy bass. Together, the musicians collectively conjured the focus and fire of their seminal early output augmented by airtight songcraft and a heightened level of musical chemistry that could only be forged by years of writing and touring together.  “Hey You,”  the album’s first single, emerged as their 15 th  #1 single at Rock Radio and retained that position for 3 weeks Their current single, Bad Man is currently in the top 10 on that chart.  Divisive  is available on all formats  HERE .

ABOUT DISTURBED:

Emerging out of Chicago at the turn of the century with an insidious, infectious, and inimitable vision without comparison,  Disturbed  have quietly dominated hard rock on their own terms. They make the kind of music that pushes you to hold on tighter, fight harder, and persevere forever. It’s why they’ve quietly claimed a place at the forefront of 21 st  century rock with record-breaking success, sales of over 17 million-plus units, nearly 8 billion streams, and sold out shows around the globe. The two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated quartet have notched five consecutive #1 debuts on the  Billboard  Top 200, occupying rarified air alongside Metallica—the only other hard rock group to accomplish this feat. Since their influential 5x-platinum debut  The Sickness   in 2000, they have built a bulletproof catalog highlighted by a procession of smashes, including the platinum  “Stupify , ” “Inside The Fire , ”  and  “Land of Confusion , ”  2x-platinum  “Stricken , ”  6x-platinum  “Down With The Sickness , ”  and 7x-platinum  “The Sound of Silence , ”  to name a few. The latter notably received a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of  “Best Rock Performance”  as the band earned  “Best Rock Artist”  at the 2017 iHeartRadioMusic Awards. Still,  Disturbed  never stop, igniting their next chapter with their 2022 album  Divisive  featuring their 15 th  #1 at Rock Radio  “Hey You , ”   “Unstoppable , ”  and more.

Today, multi-platinum rock band Disturbed announce their 36-date Take Back Your Life summer 2023 North American tour which will kick off at Montreal’s Bell Centre on April 27th (full dates below). The tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature support from Theory of a Deadman in Canada and Breaking Benjamin & JINJER in select markets in the United States. The band’s Take Back Your Life tour will be Disturbed’s first full tour since 2018 and tickets for all dates on this tour will go on sale here on Friday, Feb 10 th at 10am local time.

ABOUT DISTURBED: Emerging out of Chicago at the turn of the century with an insidious, infectious, and inimitable vision without comparison, Disturbed have quietly dominated hard rock on their own terms. ###

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Multiplatinum metal mavens Disturbed will bring its “Take Back Your Life” tour to Blossom Music Center on Sunday, August 27. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at the Disturbed website and at livenation.com. The “Take Back Your Life” tour is the band’s first full tour since 2018.

The Chicago quartet released its eighth studio album, “Divisive,” in 2022 continuing the band’s success by topping Billboard’s Alternative and Hard Rock charts and peaking in the Top 15 on the Billboard 200.

The album’s lead single, “Hey You,” earned the band its 15th number-one single on rock radio. “Divisive” is also the first Disturbed album to feature a guest singer. Ann Wilson of Heart, a vocal admirer of the band’s cover version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Sounds of Silence,” struck up a friendship with singer Dave Draiman, who enlisted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee to appear on the song “Don’t Tell Me.”

Opening for Disturbed will be Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer.

Recent tour reviews

What a great night, excellent views from the disabled viewing platform. Skindred were as funny and metal as usual! Then came the mighty Disturbed, amazing background imagery, they always deliver! David in one of his most empathic moods, he's just found out about Ogie, Oy, Ogie, Oy, Ogie, Ogie, Ogie, Oy, Oy, Oy! He asked us to explain. Lots of British bands do it, have done for years! He said "I like that shit!"

Dan, John & Mike were all on form as was David. There isnt a vocalist that can do what he does, the way he does it! Amazing

Please come back soon.

First the bad points.

Ally Pally ventilation was non existent. Even without any limb movement everyone was sweating like a pig. Imagine what happened when some started to. External temperature was a healthy 13C, so no excuses accepted. Big fire effects made it even worse.

Sound quality was questionable. Seems to be slightly better when Skindread heated up the public, but later on distortion was pretty bad to my ears. And I'm about the voice and overal sound, not guitars...

Good points?

Everything else very smooth. Starting from massive, but well organised queue.

Gig itself very good. Skindread, maybe not my favourite, but live was perfect. One of the best supports I've ever seen.

Disturbed concert was as expected. Many old hits and songs from new album. Dave built great atmosphere from the beginning up to the big end.

rottenc’s profile image

This concert had the best light show I have ever seen - and that's a resume of over 190 concerts for me. Every song had different lighting - some had red/blue, some had green/orange, and one song even had purple lights - I've never seen anyone use PURPLE lights.

The venue itself is amazing. I had my own seat so the concert was also comfortable.

Overall, the energy of the band was mesmerizing. Although there is only 4 of them on this enormous stage, their presence filled up the remaining space.

I loved Distrubed before, but after this experience they are definitely my favorite band of all time.

David is not only an amazing vocal, but an even better person. Thank you, David, my brother, for making the trip to Vienna worthwhile <3

Watch DISTURBED Perform In Tampa During Summer 2023 'Take Back Your Life' Tour

Fan-filmed video of DISTURBED 's August 5 performance at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida can be seen below.

DISTURBED kicked off the summer 2023 leg of its "Take Back Your Life" North American tour on July 11 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Support on the trek is coming from BREAKING BENJAMIN and JINJER .

In a February 2023 interview with Beef Vegan , DISTURBED frontman David Draiman was asked why he and his bandmates chose to embark on a U.S. headlining tour this spring and summer as opposed to making festival appearances, like they had done in the past. He responded: "We love both, but truth be told is that when you finally decide to headline, you can bring out all your toys, and you don't have to share it with anybody. [ Laughs ] When you're in a festival environment, you have a whole bunch of really high-caliber bands who are performing at the top of their game, and they're trying to bring as much as they can all collectively fit on that deck. And it gets challenging. So when you're doing your thing and that's the primary focus, it really opens up the possibilities."

Asked if he and the rest of DISTURBED get together to conceptualize each tour of what they want to see, as far as the stage show is concerned, Draiman responded: "Oh, yeah. We're in the middle of it right now. We're putting together the elements of production as we speak. Dan [ Donegan , guitar] and Mike [ Wengren , drums] were just in L.A. helping assemble some additional musical textures for, like, segues and in-between moments for the set.

"We're doing currently our cost analysis of what we wanna spend more money on, as far as production, and my votes always go for as much pyro as possible," David said. "But we'll see what ends up happening.

"It's kind of a fun time when you're assembling what you're going to do for the cycle in general. The thing that at least doing a shed run, an amphitheater run, does is you have a predictable environment that you're dealing with night after night."

Released in November, DISTURBED 's latest album, "Divisive" , was recorded early last year with producer Drew Fulk ( MOTIONLESS IN WHITE , LIL PEEP , HIGHLY SUSPECT ) in Nashville, Tennessee.

Donegan 's divorce inspired the "Divisive" song "Don't Tell Me" , which is a duet with HEART 's Ann Wilson . In two decades, it breaks ground as the first-ever guest collaboration on a DISTURBED record.

According to Billboard , "Divisive" sold 26,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release, with 22,000 units via album sales.

On the all-format Billboard 200 chart, "Divisive" debuted at No. 13.

DISTURBED has had five No. 1s on the all-genre chart, beginning with "Believe" in 2002.
