'American Idol' Season 10 Tour Dates Announced

“American Idol” season 10 is gearing up to take the show on the road this summer. The “American Idols Live!” tour kicks off July 6 in West Valley City, Utah and will hit 45 dates before wrapping up September 9, in Rochester, N.Y., it was announced today (Apr. 28).

Featured on the “American Idols Live!” lineup this year are season 10’s top 11 finalists: Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone, and Thia Megia. While the lineup typically features the top 10 of each season, Abrams was added after the judges used their lone save option of the season on him.

Spring Forward on Carole King Night

After partnering with concert promoter Live Nation for its 2010 tour, “American Idol” has reteamed with AEG Live for this year’s jaunt. AEG produced the tour beginning in 2002 until last year, including the tour’s best year in 2006 when Taylor Hicks won, when it grossed $35.3 million from 59 shows that drew nearly 650,000, according to Billboard Boxscore. Since 2002, American Idol Live! has grossed $175 million and sold 3.4 million tickets.

Randy Phillips, CEO of AEG Live, tells Billboard.com that AEG’s history with the tour played a factor in AEG getting its tour promotion rights back. “Simon Fuller and AEG Live created the touring brand that became American Idol Live and we know how to market it,” Phillips says. “I think Simon felt comfortable going back to the company that had the history of success.”

Phillips believes the tour will realize the renewed vigor that the television show has enjoyed. “They’ve done a brilliant job re-inventing the show with Steven and Jennifer and with Randy, and I think they did what they had to do in terms of weeding and filtering out to get the best talent pool they’ve had in years,” Phillips says. “I like the television numbers, but more important than the ratings is the quality of the finalists. That’s what makes the tour work.”

After playing mostly amphitheaters last year, Philips says the 2011 Idol tour will be “back indoors where it belongs.”

Here are the “American Idols Live!” 2011 tour dates:

'American Idol' Judge Luke Bryan Announces Farm Tour 2024 Dates

Two new farms have made the cut!

preview for Luke Bryan | Vs. The Internet

Luke Bryan fans, it’s that time again!

“Time to get your boots and those farmer’s tans ready y’all,” he captioned a post announcing the Farm Tour 2024 dates: September 21, 26, 27, and 28.

This year’s Farm Tour is taking Luke and his crew—as well as special musical guests Conner Smith and Tucker Wetmore—to two brand-new stops: Huggins Store in Marshville, North Carolina, and Cunningham Family Farm in Smithton, Pennsylvania, as well as to Mulberry Orchard in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Miller Family Farm in Millersport, Ohio. Two more tour dates will be announced soon.

Per usual, Luke's fans are stoked to have fun in a field this fall. "You’re finally bringing the farm tour to NC!!!! Yay," one fan commented on his post. "We will be ready for you!!🤠❤️ Can’t wait," someone else exclaimed. "I live in Marshville, this is going to be an epic day. Randy Travis Music Festival and Luke Bryan on the same day," someone else marveled.

Back in 2023, Luke, the son of a peanut farmer, shed a little light on the reason behind his Farm Tours.

“One of the reasons we created these Farm Tour shows—to bring the big-city tour to the people," he revealed in a statement. "These nights are one-of-a-kind, and we really enjoy getting to know the farmers and their families, love the whole atmosphere of playing on these incredible farms and watching entire communities come together and get excited about these shows."

It’s not solely about the music, though. Luke donates college scholarships to farming family students enrolled in the town’s local college or university on each Farm Tour stop. Since the tour’s inception in 2009, he has awarded 83 college scholarships to students with a connection to the tour stops.

But that’s not all. Luke also urges his fans to flock to social media to share #HeresToTheFarmer. For each mention, Bayer (the Farm Tour partner since 2015) donates a meal to someone in need via Feeding America. Since they began working together, Luke and Bayer have donated over 8 million meals. (Psst: You can get in on the giveback fun by sharing on your socials now through October 31.)

Now the only question is: Which farm will you be visiting this fall?

When Does the Next Season of ‘American Idol’ Start? Season 23 Premiere Details

by Chris Piner May 19, 2024, 10:16 am

With the season finale of American Idol airing tonight, the episode will not only crown the next winner but also say goodbye to Katy Perry. A constant judge on the show since it was revived, Perry gained a great deal of love and praise from fans over the seasons. And to make it better, her friendship between Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan made the show both heartwarming and entertaining. But sadly, Perry announced her exit from the show following the end of season 22. While a winner will be announced, fans are already looking ahead to season 23, a new judge, and new contestants. But when will the new season premiere – here are all the details.

Videos by American Songwriter

While the future of every show rest of ratings and fan reception, on May 10, American Idol shared the news on Instagram that the hit show would return for season 23. Renewed by ABC, fans shared their excitement about another season. But the main question remains – who will replace Perry? Although no answer has been given, it seems fans will have to wait until the new season to find out. And when exactly does the new season air?

‘American Idol’ Loves February

Given that season 22 airs the season finale on Sunday, American Idol hasn’t released the premiere date for season 23. But that doesn’t mean fans don’t have an idea of when they should expect to see the new judge. When looking at past seasons of the show, American Idol loves to kick start a new season around mid-February. Taking a trip into the past, seasons 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22 all aired in mid to late February. For season 18, it premiered on February 16, and for season 22, it started on February 18. So, while keeping details on the new season under wraps, fans should expect a new lineup of constants around February 2025.

Sharing their excitement about the renewal, fans offered their own suggestions about season 23 as comments included, “@katyperry and Luke and Lionel are and will always be the A Team! I wish Katy would reconsider and stay!! But if not- then my next wish would be Paula Abdul! Need someone with that special empathy + keen advice.” Another person wrote, “@kellyclarkson for katy’s replacement!!! that would be aaaamazing.” And one fan suggested, “Bring back the OG judges.”

With a new season already in the works and a new judge on the way, season 23 is looking to be full of surprises.
