Gems of Africa safari and tours were incredibly attentive and accommodating. When we experienced flight complications on the way to South Africa, delaying our trip multiple times, they were extremely responsive and worked with us to find solutions immediately. They helped us rebook flights and transportation and pushed back our stay at no extra cost. Their attention to customer service helped make a very stressful situation much less so. The Lodge was beautifully appointed and luxurious, the staff was attentive, warm, and welcoming, and the food was delicious. The safari itself was incredible and once in a lifetime. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable and made the entire experience fun and exciting. I could not recommend this company or safari option more highly!!

We went to Mabula for 3 nights and we had the most amazing weekend! Rooms were so beautiful, staff was very friendly and the best part was the game drives! We went to Pilanesberg for a 3-day safari and we had a wonderful experience there. Everything was perfectly planned and organized, and we didn't need to worry about anything. The hotel (Yvory Tree Game Lodge) is really nice and the transfer from and to Joburg went really smoothly. Communication and support from Janine and the Gems of Africa staff was great!

Earth lodge - 5 star, 4 day garden route tour.

The 4 day Garden Route tour is a little piece of heaven tucked away on the East Coast of South Africa. Our 4 day tour incorporates the highlights of the area along with the splendid scenery. This is perfect for those who don’t have much time but wish to experience the famous Garden Route along with many of its activities.

Leaving Oudtshoorn we’ll cross the mountain range to the coast and the gorgeous Garden Route. Our first stop is the scenic ‘map of Africa‘ lookout in the Wilderness and then we’re off to Knysna (consistently voted as South Africa’s favourite town). Here we will visit the Knysna Heads, Waterfront, markets and explore thoroughly. After Knysna we pass through Plettenberg Bay! We also stop at the World Highest Bungee Bridge (at 216 meters!) where we overnight in Storms River Village. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Today we head through to Tsitsikamma National Park for a hike to the ever famous Storms River mouth – walk on the recently finished Hanging Bridge, where we can take a dip in the Indian Ocean!! From here we head to the Garden Route Game Lodge where we can enjoy a Big 5 sunset game drive, fantastic buffet dinner and hot spring under the stars. We’ll also overnight in their award winning chalets. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Early morning Game drive to see some animals you perhaps didn’t see the evening before followed by a scrumptious breakfast! Around 10Am, we make our way to Hermanus, which is famous for being the best land-based whale watching site (in season) in the world and is a beautiful little town with wonderful cliffside walks. Making our way back towards Cape Town, our last stop is at Stony Point where we visit the local penguin Colony – making our way back with spectacular views over False Bay. (Breakfast)

Antananarivo: Day 1

The journey begins in Antananarivo, Madagascar's capital city. This historic city offers a glimpse into its rich culture and history. With bustling streets, markets, and ancient royal palaces, Antananarivo will introduce you to the Malagasy life. Here you will be staying at Palissandre Hotel & Spa.

Natural Reserve of Andasibe: Days 2 - 3

Next, you'll visit the Natural Reserve of Andasibe, a protected area spanning over 155 square kilometers. The reserve is home to primary and secondary forests, endemic plants and animals, including the iconic Indri lemurs, one of the largest living lemurs. In Andasibe you will be staying at Mantadia Lodge.

Palmarium Reserve: Days 4 - 5

The Palmarium Reserve, also known as Akanin’ny Nofy "Nest of Dreams," is situated along the Pangalanes Canal  in eastern Madagascar. This protected area is famous for its wildlife and greenery, offering opportunities to see lemurs, chameleons, and exotic birds. Enjoy canoe tours to experience local life and scenic views. The journey from Andasibe Natural Reserve to Palmarium Hotel, where you will be staying, includes a scenic boat trip, adding an adventurous touch to your tour!

Mahambo: Day 6

Your journey continues to Mahambo, a coastal town with golden shores and rolling waves. Here, you can enjoy a variety of water activities such as surfing, snorkeling, or diving, making Mahambo the perfect place for both adventure and relaxation. Here you will be staying at Hotel La Pirogue.

Île Sainte Marie and Île aux Nattes: Days 7 - 9

Next, you'll explore the beautiful Island Île Sainte Marie, also known as Nosy Boraha. It's famous for its long sandy beaches, clear blue waters, and coral reefs. You can explore forests with lemurs, visit fishing villages, or discover a pirate cemetery.

Before returning to the capital, you'll visit Île aux Nattes, a small island near Île Sainte Marie. With no cars and untouched nature, this place is perfect for disconnecting and enjoying the peace of nature. Here, you will stay at Sambatra Beach Lodge, which serves the best fresh seafood on the island, adding a delicious treat to your stay.

Return to Antananarivo: Days 10 - 11

#1 Botswana

Its fertile land provides a safe and comforting home to around 200 mammal species. This includes elephants, hippos, monkeys and so much more. Along with 650 bird species and 5,500 plants. Even though many would face some difficulties in locating Malawi on a map, given how tiny it is, the country is home to the world-renowned Lake Malawi National Park. This is practically one-third of the country and is the most biodiverse lake in the world.
