Package detail.
Day 1 Upon arrival at the airport, you will meet our English-speaking Chauffeur/Guide, who will drive you to your hotel in Doha. You may spend your afternoon relaxing by the pool and proceed for an evening City Tour.
City Tour Your first stop will be the old Dhow Harbour, where hundreds of traditional wooden boats are docked. From afar, you will see the beautiful West Bay skyline which resembles other famous skylines. From there, you will proceed to the Museum of Islamic Art, an architectural gem housing one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of Islamic Art. Thereafter, you will visit the Gold Souq, where you can take a stroll and look around the fancy shops that offer jewelry with luxury designs and remarkable craftsmanship. Just a few minutes away is your next stop called Souq Waqif, a heritage market where you can shop, dine and explore. Here you will find lots of shops selling spices, fabrics, perfumes, traditional handicraft products, and souvenirs as well as a stable for Arabian horses and camels. Next, you will head to The Pearl – a luxurious man-made island featuring Mediterranean-style marinas, an outdoor atmosphere, and al fresco dining. The last stop will be at Katara Cultural Village, a cultural beacon and the largest multidimensional cultural project, famous for the Blue Mosque and Pigeon Towers.
Thereafter, you will head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will proceed to the North for a Cultural Tour.
North of Qatar You will head approximately 40 kilometers North of Doha, where you will discover the heritage side of Qatar. Your first stop will be the Umm Salal Fortress. This tower was built as a residence for Sheikh Jasim Bin Mohammed Al-Thani, in the late 19th century. The building is still occupied and is not open to the public, but can be seen from outside. The next stop is Al Zubarah, an important archaeological site, famous for its old fort. This fort-turned-museum was built in 1938, during the power of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Jassim Al-Thani and was erected on the ruins of a neighboring fort. The fort is square-shaped with circular towers in three of its corners and a rectangular tower in the fourth. You will then proceed on to Al Ruwais to see the Dhow boat harbor and take a short break at the Ruwais beach to relax and feel its fresh sea breeze. On your way back to Doha you will pass by Al Khor, which is the second biggest town in Qatar, famous for its harbor and beautiful surrounding beaches. You will also visit the Al Khor Museum.
At the end of the tour, by late afternoon you will be dropped back at the hotel for an evening of leisure. After you enjoy a quiet dinner on your own, we will pick you up for a Night City tour on our Hop on Hop off bus, where you can witness a beautiful night view of the city.
Day 3 After an early breakfast, you will be picked up for a Full-Day Desert Safari experience that you do not want to miss out on!
Full-Day Desert Safari A trip to Qatar isn’t complete without a visit to the inland sea. The journey starts by heading to Khor Al Udaid, located southeast of Qatar. Board upon an exciting ride over the desert dunes until we reach the inland sea. Some of the dunes reach as high as 50 meters. Stop for a photoshoot and witness the beautiful dunes in contact with the sea. Arrive at our private desert camp, which landscapes a spectacular view over the Arabian Gulf, for an all-inclusive experience complete with swimming, sandboarding, etc. Head back to Doha with memories that will last for a lifetime.
At the end of the Safari, you will be dropped at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4 After an early breakfast, you will be picked up for departure transfer.

A Sight to Behold
Chairman & President, Ali Bin Ali Holding
Adel Ali Bin Ali is Chairman of Ali Bin Ali Holding, one of Qatar’s oldest and most robust business conglomerates. At the helm of a diverse company with 14 distinct business streams, he provides visionary leadership to over 4,000 staff. He also holds other eminent positions and serves as a managing director and a delegated member of the board of Doha Insurance Co., and a board member of Milaha Co., Qatar Electricity & Water Co., Amwal Co., and, formerly, Qatar National Bank. He was also vice chairman of the Qatar Sports Club and honorary treasurer of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce. He received the Ordre National Du Mérite from the French Republic.
Mar. 26, 2019
The holding started operations in 1945 with the vision of providing quality international products and services to the people of Qatar. What have been some of the highlights?
Since its inception in 1945, Ali Bin Ali Holding has stayed true to its vision of providing quality international products and services to the people of Qatar. This is the reason why we have emerged as one of the largest retail and distribution companies in the country. Today, the holding contributes to Qatar’s growth through 400 international brands across 13 diversified lines of businesses. Our footprint is spread across industries such as FMCG and distribution, beverages, luxury, fashion, hospitality, production and events planning, information and communication technology, medical supplies, contracting, facility management and real estate development, printing, hypermarkets, sports and lifestyle, travel tourism, and cargo. Besides diversifying its operations over the years, the holding has launched several firsts in the country and contributed significantly to Qatar. One such example is the “Bazaar Majna” commercial plaza. Built on 38,000sqm in Katara Cultural Village, this soon-to-open project includes a series of features that are the first of its kind in Qatar and the region. It will host the well-known French department store chain Galeries Lafayette and the first Evian Spa in the Middle East. Another example is the prestigious Manateq Special Economic Zone where ABA Logistics was chosen as a partner for the massive governmental project. We have completed the building stage and will soon start operating the state-of-the-art warehouses and storage areas with world-class infrastructure. Projects of this caliber signal the clear intension of the management to invest in some of the largest and most strategic locations in Qatar.
Which sectors are more attractive to continue diversifying your business portfolio?
Qatar has emerged as one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. That being the reality, almost all the economic sectors have potential for healthy growth. Sectors such as tourism and hospitality, healthcare and medical research, sports and lifestyle, education, technology, and light industries have immense potential to grow. We are fortunate to be engaged in most of these sectors. As a Qatari business conglomerate, we would like to further diversify and explore opportunities in light industries, manufacturing plants, and industrial lines. Medical research is another area where we see immense potential.
The ongoing blockade has opened the doors to the local development of F&B production. How has this affected the holding’s business?
As a homegrown proud Qatari entity, it is our pleasure to support local industries in every way we can. Keeping the Qatar National Vision 2030 in mind, we seek to work with Qatari production industries, encourage them, and make their presence prominent in the local market. The blockade has led to the industrial renaissance of Qatar. Many local companies are now producing high-quality F&B products. One of the biggest success stories in the midst of blockade has been the emergence of Baladna Company. Baladna launched several dairy products and signed an exclusive agreement with Ali Bin Ali Holding for distribution in the local market. We are confident that through our understanding of the Qatari market and commitment to developing best-in-class technologies, we will exceed customers’ expectations and maximize the reach of the products to more than 1,600 points of sale throughout the country. The blockade has made us more self-reliant, which is positive.

Ali Bin Ali Travels celebrates 50th anniversary of ABA Travel Bureau
The special dinner was held at Em Sherif Restaurant in Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.
Apart from the division’s staff, including General Manager of ABA Travel Bureau Mr. Saeed Al Hajri, also present at the event were the country managers of Oman Air, Sri Lankan Airlines and Royal Air Maroc.
The golden jubilee celebration of ABA Travel Bureau was also the perfect occasion to highlight the efforts of all who have made a difference and contributed to the success of the ABA Travels division.
“This is a very special moment for ABA Travels. It has been a long and fruitful 50 years of serving the industry and people. We thank all who have contributed to this wonderful journey and we will continue to deliver the best of services,” said Mr. Al Hajri.
Established in 1969, the ABA Travels division now consists of Ali Bin Ali Travel Bureau, Ali Bin Ali International Travel & Tourism, and Ali Bin Ali Cargo. Ali Bin Ali Travel Bureau represents several major airlines as General Sales Agents and other airlines as an appointed Sales Agent.
ABA Travels celebrates going live with FORWARD application
A special event was organized at the ABA Travels office on September 16, 2018 to celebrate the implementation of the FORWARD ERP application at the Ali Bin Ali (ABA) Travel division. Though it is the Finance and Procurement teams that are primarily involved in the project, it was a moment of pride for the entire family of ABA Travels.
Apart from the FORWARD and Travels Team members, those present on the occasion included GM Travel & Cargo Mr. Saeed Al-Hajri, FORWARD Project Sponsor Mr. Mohamad A. Ebrik, ABA Group Chief Financial Officer Mr. Iftekhar Ahmad, GM Human Resources Mr. Aldrine Fernandez, Group GM Finance Mr. Ganesh P.K, GM ABA IT Mr. Youssef Moussa, and Group Corporate Communications Manager Mr. Imad Hashim.
The informal gathering aimed at celebrating the hard work of the entire team and recognizing the heroes who left no stone unturned to make the transition process smooth.
Opening the event, Mr. Al-Hajri thanked the FORWARD Team and said: “Mr. Ebrik and his team have done a great job in introducing ERP and automating our financial operations. I wish the ABA Travels Finance Team all the best as they start working with this new application.”
Mr. Ebrik applauded the role the Travels Team played in the implementation and said: “We can bring in new systems any time but it’s the team that made it possible to get the latest technology. It is the effort of Team ABA Travels along with the team at the Head Office and the Project Team that made this implementation possible.”
The FORWARD Team also took the opportunity to recognize the heroes in the ABA Travels Team. While the entire team had a big role in the process, Azhar Baksh and Parag Karki went the extra mile.
The ABA Travels Team also expressed their appreciation for the support they received and handed over gift vouchers to each member of the FORWARD Project Team.
Concluding the event, Mr. Iftekhar said: “It is the hard work of all the people involved that made this implementation possible. Despite ABA Travels’ tight schedule during the summer, the teams worked together to be on track. I look forward to the division closing the month much earlier.”
