Five unique DeNure Tours let you experience modern and old Québec in all its grandeur

Bustling cosmopolitan metropolises meets rich colonial history in la belle province.

Known as "La Belle Province" ("the beautiful province"), Québec boasts impressive natural attractions, electrifying annual festivals, an exquisite culinary scene, trendy cosmopolitan districts, and history-infused neighbourhoods for every traveller's taste. DeNure Tours of Lindsay is offering five unique tours to Québec this year: Montreal & Québec City (6 days), Saguenay, Québec (7 days), Gaspé Peninsula Getaway (9 days), Québec Resort Getaway (5 days), and Québec Colours (5 days). (Supplied photo)

If you’re looking for a taste of Europe on your next vacation without venturing to another continent, Québec is an enchanting destination that offers a European-inspired visual and cultural appeal — without the jetlag.

Within Canada, Québec is a distinct world with its blend of architecture, colonial history, art, Francophone heritage, and scenic landscapes.

Follow the links for more details:

  • Montreal & Québec City – 6 Days (departing August 24, 2019)
  • Saguenay, Québec – 7 Days (departing July 6 and August 3, 2019)
  • Gaspé Peninsula Getaway – 9 Days (departing July 22, August 12 and September 15, 2019)
  • Québec Resort Getaway – 5 Days (departing July 15, September 28 and October 7, 2019)
  • Québec Colours – 5 Days (departing October 6, 2019)

Known as “La Belle Province” (“the beautiful province”), Québec boasts impressive natural attractions, electrifying annual festivals, an exquisite culinary scene, trendy cosmopolitan districts, and history-infused neighbourhoods for every traveller’s taste.

And while Québécois (“Quebecers”) account for more than four-fifths of the Canadian French-speaking population, it’s not necessary to brush up on your rusty high school French in order to have an enjoyable trip (although the effort is appreciated).

The popularity of vacations in Québec is at its peak, particularly in Montréal. According to Québec City Tourism, just over 4.4 million tourists visited the province in 2016, including over 800,000 from 75 countries outside Canada, raking in $1.32 billion in annual tourism spending.

Montréal recorded the highest growth in tourism among all Québec destinations in 2017, with tourism dollars injecting $4 billion into the city’s economy, says a recent report by Tourisme Montréal.

It’s this upswing in Québec’s tourism that continuously makes the region one of DeNure Tours’ most delightful sightseeing excursions year-round. For nearly 60 years, the Lindsay-based agency has been offering unique tourism experiences throughout North America, Britain and Europe, with fascinating itineraries, flexible pacing, good value and quality, and guides who have firsthand, in-depth knowledge of the destinations.

“There are so many rural and urban destinations to explore that should be on every Québec traveller’s must-visit list,” says Mary Kay McGuinness, a tour director at DeNure Tours for over 25 years and has handled logistics for many of the agency’s Québec tours during that time.

“Whether it’s the exquisite cities of Montréal and Québec City, Mont Tremblant in the Laurentian Mountains, resorts like Le Château Montebello, or whale watching in Tadoussac, a small town on the coast of the St. Lawrence, there’s something for everyone.”

Quebec’s picturesque Saguenay region is one of proud heritage and rugged beauty. DeNure Tours' Saguenay tour, the most popular of all the Québec trips offered by DeNure Tours, includes a stay in the landmark Hotel Tadoussac on one of Canada's most beautiful bays, a whale-watching cruise on the St. Lawrence, a guided trolley tour of lumber village Val-Jalbert with views of the 236-foot-high Ouiatchouan Falls, a two-night stay in historic Quebec City, and more. (Supplied photo)

McGuinness says DeNure’s group tours will not only guide you around any cultural site in Québec and dive right into the heart of the province’s fascinating history, but they will “take you to the hidden gems, the places you don’t know about or wouldn’t otherwise see by going it alone.”

Some of those hidden gems McGuinness is referring to are “economuseums”, an artisanal enterprise that showcases artisans and their trade, largely in fine crafts and the agri-food sector.

Québec currently has 30 economuseums province-wide, with the most located in tourist regions. The concept allows craftspeople to open their workshops to the public so they can share their knowledge and passion and sell products made onsite.

Located in the Eastern Townships on the west shore of Lake Memphrémagog in Quebec, Abbaye de Saint-Benoît-du-Lac is a Benedictine community founded in 1912 by French monks. The monks have a cheese factory, two orchards, a cider mill, and a shop where all their products are sold. (Photo: Destination Sherbrooke)

Expect to experience some of these fabulous venues when DeNure stops at Albert Gilles Boutique et Musée (a museum showcasing the work of the eponymous copper artist, with tours and demonstrations), La Chocolaterie de I’lle (a chocolate and ice cream maker located in an ancestral home), or Saint-Benoît-du-Lac Abbey (home to 30 Benedictine monks famous for their hand-crafted cheeses and apple cider).

“Economuseums give people an appreciation of what artisans do,” says McGuinness. “We’re giving our guests the opportunity to discover the local culture while supporting the region’s local economy.”

DeNure Tours is currently offering five tours to Québec this year. Here are some highlights of what to anticipate on each visit.

Montreal & Québec City (6 days)

Montréal and Québec City (pictured here) are lively metropolises with a perfect combo of classiness, playfulness and history. On the guided tours, stroll the narrow streets and boutiques of Québec City's Quartier Petit-Champlain, feast in the Jean-Talon Market where Montreal's award-winning pâtisseries, fromageries, and boulangeries get their farm-to-table ingredients, and immerse yourself in the museums, galleries, and fabulous eateries these cities have to offer. Journey on to Côte-de-Beaupré’s picturesque countryside which rolls out to magnificent 18th century farmsteads and churches, tucking local artisan’s work into little galleries. Admire gorgeous glass windows and sculptures at the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine before a stop at towering Montmorency Falls, a natural 30-metre-high wonder. DeNure ends the tour with a sweet finale: the quaint and delicious Île d’Orléans chocolate factory and authentic maple sugar shack tasting.

Saguenay, Québec (7 days)

Montmorency Falls, stretching upwards a spectacular 272 feet, is one stop guests will make on the Saguenay tour. The site is a year-round destination for visitors to Québec City and Montréal, offering a range of outdoor activities and the stunning sight of the falls. (Supplied photo)

“The Saguenay tour is our most popular of all the Québec tours,” notes McGuinness.

Guests will travel through the Laurentians admiring the rocky Canadian Shield. See where the pines divide and the earth plummets down a sheer rock face at the Rivière Saguenay fjord. Stay in the landmark Hotel Tadoussac on one of Canada’s most beautiful bays and cruise the St. Lawrence to spot whales.

During a three-hour cruise, spot tufts of water exploding above the horizon as the whales move to the surface to breathe.

A guided trolley tour of Val-Jalbert, a restored lumber village, will give you an up-close look at life as it was in the ultra-modern 1920s. A glass platform provides amazing views of the 236-feet-high Ouiatchouan Falls.

The bohemian town of Tadoussac, where the Saguenay river flows into the St. Lawrence, is perfect feeding ground for the different whale species. Take an excursion on a boat into the St. Lawrence to see these giants up close in their natural habitat. (Photo: Québec Maritime Tourism)

“It’s got scenery and industrial history which is quite unique,” says McGuinness of the area, which has been described as the best-preserved ghost town in Canada.

A visit to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica and Montmorency Falls, named the “monstrous steep”, precedes a two-night stay in historic Québec City. A stay in the city’s Old Town is the perfect location to explore old-world architecture, charming boutiques, cobblestone streets, and exquisite eats.

Gaspé Peninsula Getaway (9 days)

One major attraction of Gaspé Peninsula is the charming village of Percé. Be awed by the sight of Bonaventure Island and Percé Rock, just off the coast. Percé Rock is formed of reddish-gold limestone and shale and is considered one of the world's largest natural arches located in water and is a geologically and historically rich natural icon of Québec. (Supplied photo)

Discover rock, wilderness, stunning vistas, and the distinct French-English culture of the people who call the fascinating Gaspé Peninsula home.

Make a stop in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, the woodcarver capital of Québec, before a boat sails you around Percé Rock, an iconic 400-million-year-old red-gold limestone arch. Nearby is Bonaventure Island, home to North America’s largest gannet colony, and Paspébiac Bank Historic Site, which brings the Gaspésie fishing story to life with net-mending and shipbuilding in centuries-old buildings.

The trails at Parc national de l’Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé is always worth a visit for their natural beauty and outstanding flora and fauna, including its famous colony of northern gannets.

The bohemian town of Tadoussac, where the Saguenay river flows into the St. Lawrence, is perfect feeding ground for the different whale species. Take an excursion on a boat into the St. Lawrence to see these giants up close in their natural habitat.

Finish the tour in Québec City and fill your soul with old-world charm, exquisite dining, and boutique shopping.

Québec Resort Getaway (5 days)

The Quebec Resort Getaway includes a night at Le Château Montebello, the largest log building in the world. Pictured is the hotel lobby, which features a three-storey atrium built around a massive stone fireplace with a 20-metre chimney. (Photo: Fairmont Le Château Montebello)

Escape the ordinary and experience the delightful retreats of Québec. The beautiful Eastern Townships are a tapestry of vineyards, pastoral countryside, mountains, and crystal-clear lakes.

A stay at the Hôtel Chéribourg offers amazing views complemented by four-star amenities such as a tennis court, two pools, an outdoor whirlpool, and well-appointed rooms.

Pay a visit to the Abbey of Saint-Benoît-du-Lac and stroll the fragrant fields of Bleu Lavande, the region’s chief lavender producer. Tour a winery and soak in Magog’s scenery for the remainder of your stay.

Stop in Old Montréal for lunch en route to the remarkable Le Château Montebello, the finale to this Quebecois retreat. Founded as a private club in 1930, Le Château Montebello is the world’s largest log cabin offering tranquility and rustic elegance.

Québec Colours (5 days)

“People come from around the world and across Canada to see the fall colours in Québec,” says McGuinness.

Watch Mother Nature at her finest with the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the Laurentians blazing in bright autumn hues.

A stop in Mont-Tremblant will let you stroll the cozy cobblestone streets to the alpine-inspired chalet shops. Cruise beautiful Lac Tremblant, surrounded by a carpet of crimsons this time of year.

DeNure continues to Gatineau with a visit at Parc Omega, a safari park that takes you through 12 kilometres of lakes, rocky hills, valleys, forests, and meadows, all the while getting up close and personal with the animals that inhabit them (bison, boars, beavers, wolves, bears, coyotes, and fox).

You’ll move on to Ottawa to enjoy some free time and perhaps visit the National Gallery of Canada, which holds the world’s largest collection of classic, contemporary, and indigenous Canadian art, or browse the Byward Market, four square blocks of artisan shops and culinary delights.

Journey home with a stop in the Thousand Islands region, an island paradise of pines, castles, lighthouses, and history.

DeNure’s Québec tours include transportation on a luxury motorcoach to all sites (departing from Lindsay and Toronto), with a crew of experienced tour directors and drivers happy to share their knowledge to make your trip interesting and unforgettable.

“It’s important to take the memory, not necessarily the picture,” adds McGuinness. “DeNure staff’s professionalism and knowledge of Québec will certainly give you great memories to take home with you.”

Feeling overwhelmed by tour options? Worried you missed an important detail? DeNure Tours offers a hassle-free way to experience the highlights of your trip that enables you to sit back and relax. Their representatives handle all of the initial logistics and scheduling, and are on-hand to ensure that everything runs to plan, leaving you to you rest easy as you travel.

DeNureTours Unveils 2017 Lineup

September 29, 2016

denure-tours-sept28

DeNureTours has launched its 2017 brochure, complete with new logo and a new focus for the company.

Not only does the publication feature new tours and destinations, but it also signifies an evolution for DeNureTours – which officials say is no longer satisfied with simply offering travel options, but more focused on providing the inspiration for travel.

“We are so excited about the array of tours featured in our new brochure,” said Julia Bryan, general manager of DeNureTours. “We spent the last year reflecting on our core values and shaping our vision for the future, and this brochure is the culmination of this intensive work.”

DeNureTours has reviewed each and every tour to ensure that it is responding to the changing interests of travellers. The new logo, a kaleidoscope, symbolizes that even when looking at something, a small twist can change the nature of the image – just as looking at an itinerary with fresh eyes helps to create something new and exciting.

The 2017 brochure features tours and cruises throughout the United States, Britain and Europe, along with some new destinations such as Iceland & Scandinavia, Portugal, China and Australia & New Zealand. It also has a number of new Canadian tours.

To order copies of the new brochure, visit the Envoy website, call 1-800-668-6859, or order them online at http://www.denuretours.com .

In 1960, Fred DeNure left a partnership he had with a cousin, RJ Trailways to pursue an operation of his own. Fred was awarded the contract to provide bussing to local schools in the Kawartha Lakes, with a fleet that would grow to more than 70 school busses. At this time, DeNure Tours was formed, offering its first multi-day sightseeing tour to Atlantic Canada.

Florida has long been nicknamed Canada's 11th province and in 1965, DeNure began operating coach tours to Florida. DeNure’s ‘Sunshine Holidays’ escorted Canadians by motorcoach down to the sunny south for an escape from the cold winters. In 1981, the Daytona “Sunshine Express” program debuts, shuttling guests from the cold Canadian winters to long-stay vacations in Daytona Beach, Florida. This program becomes so popular that just a few short years, it was expanded to weekly departures to Florida, later laying roots in Destin, St.Pete Beach and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

In 1966 Fred, Dorothy and their three children embarked on a 6-week tour of the southern USA in a converted school bus, resulting in many new itineraries designed. In 1967 with a handful of itineraries, DeNure Tours introduced its first brochure that included journeys to Florida, California, Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada. Many of the tours in Eastern Canada included a visit to Expo 67. In 1972 the school bus division was sold to concentrate solely on sightseeing, offering popular destinations in both Canada and USA, including a new tour to Alaska.

1984 – UK and Europe

If you’ve ever had the chance to meet or travel with Harry Simmons, then I’m sure you’ll understand the impact that Harry had when he joined the DeNure Tours team.

Harry was with DeNure Tours for almost 30 years and during that time, he created and organized delightful holiday experiences throughout Britain and Europe. During his travels with DeNure guests, he shared the unique spectacle of the Edinburgh Tattoo, acquainted guests with Germany’s famous Rhine, and raised a glass of local wine as he introduced the beauty of the Italian coastline.

But even more importantly, Harry maintained a quick wit, shared an endless knowledge of history and literature, and was meticulous in ensuring that the tours exceeded our guests’ expectations.

Harry often said that there were three steps to a memorable holiday: planning the trip, taking it, and re-living the vacation through the stories, friendships and memories that were made. I know Harry has featured prominently in many of these great memories, and his legacy of facilitating memorable experiences for guests continues.

1987 – The Nautilus Inn is opened in Daytona Beach

The story of The Nautilus Inn actually begins in the fall of 1973, when Fred and Dorothy purchased an ocean front property on Daytona Beach, The Tall Pines. Dorothy has many stories of cleaning and painting and preparing The Tall Pines to receive their first guests. Their concept of bringing regularly scheduled bus-loads of guests to Florida grew in popularity, and Daytona Beach became a favourite destination for “winter weary Canadians”.  In the mid-1980’s, Fred worked with a local hotelier and undertook the project of designing and building a hotel, specifically to receive their niche program. In 1987, on the property that had been the charming Tall Pines, The Nautilus Inn opened their doors and began receiving “DeNure Guests.”

2020 – A New Chapter Begins!

Since those early days, the “Sunshine Express Program” has grown, and long stay programs have been established in several other destinations including Myrtle Beach, Destin, and St. Pete Beach, and we are excited to introduce Bradenton as a new option.

With the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the hospitality and travel industries were severely impacted and some tough decisions were made. With travel prohibited and DeNure Tours not able to operate, it was decided to take the opportunity to re-imagine our business and re-organize our tour products by type: hiking tours, sightseeing tours, and vacations that go somewhere warm in the winter. Thus, in the fall of 2020, DeLuxe Hiking, Tours in Canada, and Sunshine Getaways are born. Each brand has its own focus, and each is excited at the prospects of having travel open up again, soon!

At Sunshine Getaways, we invite guests to “Escape to Warmth!”

Meet Our Sunshine Team

Carole Skinner

Born in Dundee, Scotland, Carole Skinner moved to Canada as a child and put her Scottish roots to the test when she became a professional teacher of Highland and Scottish country dancing. She also worked primarily in the dental industry as manager of a successful practice. In the 1990’s Carole and her family travelled annually to Florida, giving her a deep appreciation of the state. Carole joined the team in 2014 as a Tour Director, and in 2018 took on the role as Program Director for long stay getaways in St. Pete Beach. She has guided tours across Canada, the USA, and cruises to Bermuda, the east coast and Alaska and is now developing itineraries in the sunny south. When asked what she enjoys about her job, Carole says, “I love meeting new people and hearing their stories and it’s always fun when you have a guest on a holiday that has been with you before, they’re like family.” Carole is eager to make your holiday a warm, pleasant, and a memorable experience.

Pauline Levesque

Pauline has had a fascinating and varied career, working as the CEO/President or in Director roles in banking, Chamber of Commerce, Trade Organizations, and Education. She moved to Myrtle Beach in 2005 to accept a position as CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association and eventually to work as Director of Sales with a local hotel consortium. “the best move I made was to the sunny beaches of Myrtle Beach and all that it has to offer.” She is proud of her family heritage with its French, Italian, and Irish influences. Most of her French relatives migrated to Connecticut from Maine and Canada. “Having a large family, our reunions number over one hundred. One of our shared family traits is that we know how to have fun!” Among her life blessings is her cherished marriage to Ron Levesque, husband of 52 years, and her extended family of five children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

“I am excited to begin sharing my beach and love of fun with the DeNure family of travellers, creating memories of fun, sun, and sand!”.

Stephanie Scribani-Anderson

Stephanie grew up in Rochester, New York, and visited St. Pete Beach on her honeymoon vowing to one day move to the “Sunshine State”, 27 years later she is living that dream. With a 40-year career as a professional singer, she is known by guests as "The Singing Bus Driver". As a local expert in the area, it is Stephanie’s pleasure to escort guests around the St. Pete area saying “I find joy in each moment we are together; traveling to the beautiful tropical Sunken Gardens, playing shuffleboard on the sight where the popular movie “Cocoon” was filmed, boat rides to cheer on the dolphins leaping from the water to say hello, or just a trip to the grocery store, sharing this paradise with guests is a passion I have. I want everyone to see the beauty of this place.”

Mike Granton

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mike served as an NYC EMT/Paramedic before attending the NYC Police Academy to become an Officer, being promoted to Detective prior to his retirement in 2005. Mike made the move to Myrtle Beach in 2007 simply to find a parking spot and slightly better weather. While searching for ‘the meaning of life’, he volunteered his time through his church, to those less fortunate, serving as a bus driver, pantry manager, wait staff, cook, supply driver, and spiritual guide for local soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and charitable organizations. When you are with Mike there is never a dull moment and chances are he’s going to get a giggle or two out of you. A natural people-person, making guests laugh is, by far, the highlight of his day. Mike’s best advice is “Keep smiling...it costs nothing and can make your day or someone else's exponentially better. Treat each new day as a gift.”

General Questions

How are border crossings handled.

For specific border crossing requirements, the COVID-19 page on this web-site has links to the applicable government sites.

For land-based packages, guests are responsible for getting to the starting point of the tour, so guests will need to complete the declarations and provide COVID-19 vaccination information as necessary.  Then, if during the tour there is a border crossing, information will be provided describing the declarations and COVID-19 vaccination registrations that may be required.

For motorcoach-based tours that cross provincial or international borders, information will be provided 1-2 weeks in advance of departure, describing the declarations and COVID-19 vaccination registrations that will be required. The successful crossing of borders by the motorcoach requires that everyone on the coach meets the requirements to cross. If there are questions, please feel free to call  us at 1-800-668-6859  or email us: [email protected]

No matter where we travel, it is strongly recommended that, at a minimum, every traveller should bring along government issued photo ID and printed copies of both vaccination confirmation receipts.  If travelling internationally, ensure that your passport is current, and carried with you.

What's changed at DeNure Tours?

Is denure tours still in business.

YES, we are still in business! There has been major upheaval in the tourism industry and like all tour operators, we have faced some considerable hurdles this past year. We have been working hard to develop and introduce our new family of brands:  Tours in Canada , Sunshine Getaways , and DeLuxe Hiking . Depending on where your travel interests may lie, whether you are “Ready for Adventure” with a hiking tour from DeLuxe Hiking, “Ready to Escape to Warmth”, or “Ready to Explore” a corner of Canada or Beyond, our ‘families’ are eager to take you and yours on a journey of a lifetime. Call us!

Can I visit the DeNure Tours Office?

We are still operating out of 71 Mount Hope Street, but the building now belongs to CarStar. Our office space is not set up to be open to the general public, and visits are by appointment only. If you feel an in-person visit is needed, please request and confirm your appointment prior to arrival. Our entrance is on the east side of the building.

Has DeNure Tours been sold?

No, DeNure Tours has not been sold. Although there have been major challenges with the tourism industry and our company has been impacted extensively, we are still owned and operated by the DeNure family. Our office building has been sold, but we are still in business at that location, and we are looking forward to having you travel with us again soon!

Why do you have these new brands?

By organizing our tour products into these distinct brands, we can:

  • Make it easier for guests to find the trip best suited for them.
  • Develop new products inspired with specific travel interests in mind.

What are these tour "fitness ratings?"

Although our primary goal is that all guests will have an enjoyable experience while taking part in the tour, there are also safety, regulatory, and logistical reasons for the fitness rating assigned to a trip.  The fitness levels  describe the minimum necessary fitness that a guest, or a guest with the assistance of their travel companion, must have in order to participate in a tour with that rating.  Each tour has been assigned a fitness rating: all DeLuxe Hiking tours have been assigned Level H, sightseeing tours have ratings in the range 2-5, and Sunshine Getaways trips generally have ratings in the range 2-3.

Meeting the minimum specified fitness level will ensure that guests can fully participate in their selected tour.

Do you still take custom groups?

Pre-formed groups interested in reserving a departure will be welcomed, provided that the itinerary requested essentially matches one of our standard tour products. For more information, group leaders should contact our office.

Do you still take student groups?

No. Although we did offer student tours in the past, it is felt that for now we should focus on offering standard tour products for adults.

Do you offer charters?

Yes, but charters are not our business focus.  We have a small fleet that is generally

required for our tours, but as availability permits, our deluxe motorcoaches are available for charters. Please call 1-800-668-6859 , selecting the option for reservations and general inquiries, or email us at [email protected]

Why is the Cancellation Protection Waiver no longer available?

For many years, DeNure Tours developed and offered a ‘peace of mind’ trip cancellation waiver that applied from the time of booking until the departure date. Today, our partner hotels, restaurants and attractions require a commitment because of staff shortages and the residual impact of COVID-19 on supplies. Thus, with the uncertainty in the travel world, we are currently not able to offer this protection. We are happy to provide details on other available insurance program options.

What happens to my Denuros?

Our Denuro program, in operation since 1999, involved earning rewards for travel that could be used to discount future travel. This program   ended as of April 1, 2021.   After this date, denuros can no longer be earned. Those who have denuros 'in the bank’ are welcome to continue to redeem them on future travel reservations, with the same conditions as in the past.   (YES, we have removed the expiration date for denuros!)   Ask how you can use your denuros at the time of booking.

Still have questions? We're here to help!  Call or email us today.

Description

A family-owned canadian business.

Fred and Dorothy DeNure began operating sightseeing tours in 1960 with destinations that included day trips in the Toronto area and longer tours to Atlantic Canada. The business has grown to include further-reaching destinations throughout North America, Britain and Europe. Fred and Dorothy’s son Ray DeNure is presently overseeing the operation of the company as it continues to grow and thrive.

The DeNure Tours headquarters is located in Lindsay, Ontario, just 90 km north-east of Toronto.

Where We Travel

Florida has been an important part of DeNure’s touring business since 1965. DeNure Tours purchased property in Daytona Beach in 1973 and has become well known for ocean-side, stay-put holidays ever since. We refer to these stay-put type of ocean-side holidays as Winter Longstays, and we expanded to include Myrtle Beach in 1997, St. Petes Beach in 2007, and Destin in 2011. These warm destinations are popular for the economical transportation provided on our Express Motorcoaches.

In 1984, DeNure Tours expanded to include innovative Touring Vacations in Europe. Destinations include England, Ireland, Scotland, the British Isles and Italy.

Cruises and coach tours began with DeNure Tours’ Alaska program in 1985, and expanded to include Bermuda and the Bahamas. Then, DeNure Tours combined its Express-based, stay-put holidays with Caribbean Cruises to come up with unique and popular holidays. Recently, DeNure Tours has added River Cruising to the list of holidays for people to enjoy.

A Unique Motorcoach Focus

DeNure Tours is unique in the motorcoach business because it focuses exclusively on touring and it uses its own coaches. This ownership of coaches allows better control over the touring elements of transportation, itineraries and staffing which makes way for a smoother, more care-free holiday. Owning the coaches and focusing exclusively on touring provides superior service to the customer.

DeNure Tours is a proud member of the Ontario Motorcoach Association and the American Bus Association.

  • Gaylord Opryland Resort

This is a resort like none other! Located on the banks of the Cumberland River, the Gaylord Opryland Resort is near legendary Nashville attractions, and is practically legendary itself! Step into the Magnolia Lobby which was designed to resemble a grand Southern mansion with an impressive staircase and a Tiffany-style chandelier. The hotel features a glass atrium surrounded by 9 acres of indoor gardens, winding rivers and waterfalls. Stroll through the Garden Conservatory, resembling a Victorian garden complete with a 3.5-story waterfall and more than 8,000 tropical plants. Take a boat cruise along the scenic, indoor river and wind through the beautiful, 4.5-acre Delta Atrium. Take in the sights while guides share fun facts about the Resort and its gardens. In the evening check out the Water and Light show at the Delta Atrium.

Grand Ole Opry

Welcome to the true home of country music, The Grand Old Opry ! Play it loose, make it fun, honor the music, and whatever happens onstage, roll with it. In that spirit, this show has not only witnessed country music’s biggest moments; it has been the catalyst. Johnny Cash met June Carter at the Opry, Bill Monroe and his band invented bluegrass on the Opry stage, and many unexpected guests, from Paul McCartney to Bill Murray to Pharrell Williams, have made the one-night-only shows truly unforgettable. The show attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world and millions of radio and internet listeners. Dedicated to honoring country music and its history, the Opry showcases a mix of famous singers and contemporary chart-toppers performing country, bluegrass, folk, gospel, and comedy performances and skits.

Opry Back Stage Tour

After you watch the show, see what it’s like behind the scenes! Walk in the footsteps of superstars and get an exclusive look at what happens on the other side of the curtain, right after the show ends! Visit the artist entrance where the artists and crew walked in for the show earlier that night. Have the chance to step on stage and into the famed wooden circle, just as the parade of artists had done a few minutes earlier. Get a glimpse into some of the Opry’s 18 uniquely themed dressing rooms. After taking in an Opry performance, hear the official words, “Welcome to the Family!”

Ryman Auditorium

The Ryman Auditorium , also called the “Mother Church of Country Music”, has had artists as diverse as Jon Bon Jovi and Patsy Cline perform on its legendary stage since 1892. With 130 years under its belt, it shows no signs of slowing down, with guest appearances by the biggest names in music.

Walking through the doors of this historic auditorium, one thing becomes clear right away: this isn’t just another nightly music venue, and it’s more than a daytime tourist stop. This place is hallowed ground. This is the exact spot where bluegrass was born, where Johnny Cash met June Carter, where souls were saved and a slice of history was nearly lost. It was right here that country music found an audience beyond its own back porch, and countless careers took off as deals were signed on scraps of paper backstage. This is a building where anything is possible: a soul can find redemption, a crumbling building can find salvation, and an unknown kid with a guitar can find his or her name in lights.

Country Music Hall of Fame

This is the world's largest popular music museum. Ever-changing exhibits feature the legends of country music from the past and today's hottest stars.   The Country Music Hall of Fame honors musicians representing all genres of music, and includes the studio players as well as the famous stars. From Hank Williams, Sr. to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and from Motown to Southern Rock, there is truly something of interest for everyone.

RCA Studio B

Discover the legends of Music Row with a visit to RCA Studio B , Nashville’s only studio tour. Historic RCA Studio B brought more than 35,000 songs to life, including more than 1,000 American hits, 40 million singles, and over 200 Elvis Presley recordings – more than any other studio by far! Stand right where Elvis, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, Chet Atkins, The Everly Brothers, and many more recorded their classic hits.

Opry Mills

Find the season's most wanted styles at Nashville's only outlet shopping destination.  This beautiful indoor mall boasts 200 + stores. Enjoy the Opry Mills ® experience with retailers ranging from jewelry to women’s apparel to sporting goods. They have full-service dining options, including Aquarium Restaurant, Rainforest Cafe, Chuy’s Mexican Food, and Bavarian Bierhaus as well as quick and fast options, such as Johnny Rockets, Subway and Panda Express. To top it off, Opry Mills® offers entertainment options with The Escape Game, Dave & Buster’s and Madame Tussauds Nashville, the world's most famous wax museum attraction. Opry Mills is your Nashville destination to shop, dine and play!

Johnny Cash Museum

Forbes recently released a list of the Top 5 “Must-See” Nashville destinations and put The Johnny Cash Museum in the number one slot. One can never predict who will be seen at the museum, since in addition to celebrities, Cash family members and band members are often inside. Many historical documents, letters, awards, costumes and instruments are combined in a three-dimensional journey through the life of Johnny Cash, with interactive technology provided by the Nashville-based Griffin Technologies. The collection features the earliest known Johnny Cash letters and documents as well as the handwritten manuscript for the last song written by the prolific songwriter, just days before his passing. Visitors are also provided a look at Cash’s private life, including his childhood, early adulthood and his service in the United States Air Force.

Patsy Cline Museum

Housed above the Johnny Cash Museum, The Patsy Cline Museum celebrates the life of this legendary singer.  Opened in 2013 by founder Bill Miller, the museum gives visitors a glimpse into the unconventional life and career of the late pop-country songstress. With just three studio albums to her credit, and two Number One country singles in her lifetime, Patsy Cline nevertheless left an indelible mark on Country Music. Tragically, the lives of Patsy and fellow Opry stars Hawkshaw Hawkins and Cowboy Copas were cut short when their plane crashed March 5th, 1963. She was only 30 years old, but, due in part to her pure pop-country voice and commanding presence, the legacy of Patsy Cline has endured, and has influenced and inspired generations of performers.
