As we say a heartfelt goodbye to retiring CEO John Rauvola and thank him for 10 years of expert leadership, Superfeet is thrilled to announce Trip Randall as new Chief Executive Officer. John is leaving big shoes (and insoles) to fill, but Trip is more than up to the task. With more than 20 years’ experience in various leadership positions at Nike, and a passion for making a positive impact in people’s lives, "Trip's appointment to lead Superfeet marks an exciting new chapter in our company's journey,” John Rauvola says.

Superfeet Welcomes New CEO to Lead Brand Growth Initiatives

Insole industry pioneer appoints Trip Randall as chief executive officer

FERNDALE, Wash. (June 13, 2023) – Superfeet, global insole industry leader, announces the hiring of new CEO, Trip Randall. With a wealth of domestic and international footwear industry experience, coupled with his people-first leadership approach, Randall is poised to lead Superfeet into a promising future, driving growth, innovation and continued success.

“Hearing stories of how Superfeet has changed the lives of users by elevating performance levels, assisting with daily pain management and even simply helping people get through the workday is truly inspiring,” says Randall, incoming CEO of Superfeet. "A common thread for me with companies I admire most is that they have a deep set of values, incredible team spirit and a loyal passionate fanbase. Superfeet has all three and I am excited to be part of accelerating the trajectory of growing Superfeet’s loyal customer base worldwide.”

Randall’s experience in the footwear market stems from more than 23 years working across a diverse range of positions at Nike, including vice president and general manager of Nike Running in North America, global vice president and general manager of Nike.com and vice president of Global Sales and Marketplace for Nike Kids. Randall has a proven track record of implementing product growth strategies across direct-to-consumer and multi-channel retail landscapes, spearheading dynamic e-commerce visions and maintaining a results-oriented mindset that focuses on sustainable and profitable growth. Most recently, Randall served as the Global Brand President of Denon, one of Japan’s leading manufacturers of audio, home theater and software products, where he led the repositioning of the brand and drove record sales results.

"Trip's appointment to lead Superfeet marks an exciting new chapter in our company's journey,” says John Rauvola, outgoing CEO of Superfeet. “With his remarkable vision, strategic mindset, and deep industry knowledge, Trip is exceptionally well-positioned to lead Superfeet into the future as we experience growth in international markets, focused investments in technology and an expanded commitment to serving medical providers through Superfeet Rx, our new medical division, all while continuing to foster our deep commitment to long-standing retail partners.”

Randall becomes just the third CEO in the 46-year history of Superfeet, joining the brand after an extensive search to replace Rauvola, who led Superfeet for the past decade and announced his plans to retire late last year. Under Rauvola’s leadership, Superfeet achieved unprecedented growth, all while staying true to the brand’s core values and commitment to excellence. The company’s dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction propelled it become a recognized industry leader, earning accolades for its outstanding contributions and community recognition for philanthropy.

"I would like to extend my heartful gratitude to the exceptional team at Superfeet,” says Rauvola. “It is through their unwavering dedication, hard work, and commitment to always doing what's right that the Superfeet brand has achieved remarkable success. I have full confidence that under Trip's leadership, the Superfeet family will continue to thrive, innovate and make a lasting impact in people's lives."

Welcome to the Superfeet family, Trip. Here’s to the many great years ahead!

Nike Exec Trip Randall Named Denon President

trip randall linkedin

Audio manufacturer Denon has named Trip Randall, former VP/GM of Nike.com, as the brand’s new president. The company calls the step a part of its plan to revitalize its marketing, boost direct-to-consumer sales, bolster existing sales channels, and introduce new products.

Randall brings more than two decades’ worth of experience at Nike , where he drove the company’s e-commerce strategy and led Nike’s Running business, launching industry-changing innovations, and driving a $1.4 billion business domestically.

Randall’s extensive background elevating enthusiast brands to new audiences is a natural fit for Denon, which has crafted audio components for more than 110 years. At Nike, Randall held senior leadership roles across multiple major functions. He led and participated in teams driving Nike’s integrated brand, product and go-to-market strategies across the direct-to-consumer and wholesale marketplace and also oversaw the brand’s geography-based digital commerce businesses globally during a period of explosive growth.

“Finding the right individual to lead the iconic Denon brand was not an easy task, but after months of searching, we are convinced Trip is the ideal match,” says Bart Muller, COO of Sound United, now Masimo Consumer , parent company to Denon. “He has a great understanding of how to balance direct-to-consumer expansion while strengthening the ties we have with the specialty retailer market. In our short time working together, Trip has already demonstrated strong leadership skills and a sense of creativity that we know will be a core asset to Denon’s growth.”

Randall’s Experience at Nike a ‘Good Fit’ for Denon Duties

Prior to joining Denon , Randall was the vice president and general manager of Nike Running in North America, where he led the turnaround of the business. As the global VP/GM for  Nike.com , Randall was an author of the company’s inaugural and foundational e-commerce approach, which was executed across the Nike matrix to pioneer digital and direct-to-consumer innovation and experiences and drive substantial growth for the brand.

Randall was also the vice president of global sales & marketplace for the Nike Kids business, where he led the successful development and execution of omni-channel marketplace strategies across Nike’s owned digital platforms and the wholesale landscape in North America, Europe, China, and Latin America.

“It’s an honor to lead the team writing the next chapter in Denon’s story of audio innovation. And to be part of a journey connected to music, a passion of mine, is a dream,” says Randall. “I believe there are many parallels between the enthusiast sneaker and premium audio categories. We look forward to delivering game-changing and inspiring products, services and experiences to those who know and love Denon as well as a new generation of fans.”

Outside of work, Randall enjoys spending time traveling with his family and taking time on the water with a fly rod in his hand. His favorite artist at the moment is Mac Miller, his first purchased album was  America  by America and his favorite concert memory is attending two nights of the No Nukes Madison Square Garden concerts with his brother, who he credits for fostering his love of live music.
