Childish Gambino Announces Massive 2024 Tour

By Jazz Monroe

Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover

Childish Gambino has announced a tour of North America, Europe, and Australasia, billed as the New World Tour. Donald Glover will take Amaarae and Willow along for select dates. The stint marks his first tour since 2019, and follows the release last night of Atavista , which he’s called “the finished version” of his 2020 record, 3.15.20 . Find the tour dates below.

The last time Childish Gambino went on tour, he had just dropped the internet-breaking single “ This Is America ” and his Summer Pack EP , off the back of his 2016 album, “Awaken, My Love!” That year, he headlined Coachella and dropped Guava Island , his movie with Rihanna.

A lot has happened since then, most of it on screen. He ended his critically acclaimed TV show Atlanta with a fourth season , put pop fandom under a microscope with the limited series Swarm , and rebooted the 2005 movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith as a show in which he stars opposite Maya Erskine. He also shifted Lando , his upcoming Star Wars project, from a Disney+ series to a Lucasfilm movie.

In March 2020, Glover uploaded an unfinished studio album to the website donaldgloverpresents.com before taking it down. It reappeared on streaming services a week later under the name 3.15.20 , and has now been touched up and rereleased as Atavista . Glover shared a video for “Little Foot Big Foot,” featuring Young Nudy , to go along with the news.

Childish Gambino Announces World Tour in 2024-2025, Drops New Album ‘Atavista’

by Em Casalena May 13, 2024, 10:20 am

The time has finally come: Childish Gambino is touring in 2024-2025! The rapper has also just released a reimagined and re-recorded version of his 2020 record 3.15.20 under the new title Atavista . The New World tour will promote the new album, along with support from fellow artists Willow and Aamarae. Fans in the US, the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand will have a chance to see the “This Is America” hitmaker live!

Videos by American Songwriter

The Childish Gambino 2024 Tour will kick off on August 11 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Paycom Center with support from Willow. Pending any additional tour dates, the tour should close on February 11, 2025 in Perth, Washington at RAC Arena with support from Aamarae.

Getting tickets will be a pretty simple affair. An artist presale event is slated to start on Wednesday, May 15 at 10:00 am local via Ticketmaster . Head to the tour website to get the code. There will also be a presale event for American Express cardholders, as well as VIP packages.

General on-sale will begin on Friday, May 17 at 10:00 am local on Ticketmaster. The presale events will likely sell out a lot of Childish Gambino’s tour dates for this run. If that happens to your respective tour date, we recommend checking Stubhub for last-minute tickets. Stubhub often has tickets to sold-out shows in stock, especially for major tours like this one. It’s worth taking a look at the very least.

For non-US fans who missed out on the presale, try Viagogo . This is our go-to spot for finding after-sale tickets to sold-out shows in Canada, France, Germany, and basically everywhere that isn’t the United States. You might just find a good deal.

Don’t miss out on your chance to see Childish Gambino live in 2024! Get your tickets ASAP.

AURORA adds shows in Dublin and Edinburgh to 2024 UK and European tour

The tour will follow the release of her new album 'What Happened To The Heart?'

AURORA

AURORA has added two extra shows in Dublin and Edinburgh to her upcoming UK and European tour – see all the dates below.

The Norwegian alt-pop singer is preparing to release her new album ‘What Happened To The Heart?’ in June, after which she will be playing a string of shows around the continent in September and October.

And now, she has confirmed that there will be two extra performances: in the National Stadium in Dublin on June 26, and at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on October 5. Tickets for the shows can be found here .

Announcing the additions on her Instagram page, she wrote: “I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be adding shows in both Dublin and Edinburgh to my upcoming tour! (Which is fantastic, because the earth here feels so much like home).”

She added that fans who pre-order the new album here by 3pm UK time on May 7 will have exclusive early access to tickets for the shows.

AURORA’s 2024 UK and European headline tour dates are:

JUNE 26 – National Stadium, Dublin, Ireland

SEPTEMBER 18 – Alcatraz, Milan, Italy 20 – Gasometer, Vienna, Austria 21 – Sportovní hala Fortuna, Prague, Czechia 23 – Tauron Arena, Krakow, Poland 24 – COS Torwar, Warsaw, Poland 25 – UFO, Berlin, Germany 27 – Forest National, Belgium, Brussels 28 – AFAS Live, Amsterdam, Netherlands 30 – L’Olympia, Paris, France

OCTOBER 2 – Royal Albert Hall, London, UK 4 – O2 Apollo, Manchester, UK 5 – Usher Hall, Edinburgh, UK

Her new album ‘What Happened To The Heart?’ is set for release on June 7 via Decca Records/Glassnote/Petroleum and marks her first full-length LP since her 2022 release,  ‘The Gods We Can Touch’ . It is available to  pre-order here .

AURORA recently told NME about the time that she asked The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands to “puke vomit all over” a song on the album .

“We feel like two little aliens walking around, and we have the same hunger for something exceptional,” she said when discussing her work with Rowlands. “I’m really grateful. I texted him one evening just saying, ‘Tom – puke vomit all over my song please’. And he did, for like four hours.”

She also expanded on the album’s title and themes , saying: “People knew that love is [in the heart], family is here, pain in here; we’ve known this for so many years. In ancient indigenous cultures, the heart was a symbol of spirituality: the gateway between us all.”

“But what happened to the heart? It’s the most important, beautiful and sad question I’ve ever wondered in my life.”

Childish Gambino will embark on a world tour in August four years after first releasing his “3.15.20” album, which was rereleased Sunday.

The multihyphenate — better known as Donald Glover in the film and TV industry — dropped a new version of his 2020 album “3.15.20” under its original name, “Atavista,” which he called “the finished version” of his fourth studio album.

On ‘3.15.20,’ Childish Gambino is the anxious, freaked-out, no-chill rock star we need right now

On “3.15.20,” Childish Gambino, a.k.a. Donald Glover, has made the most creatively assured album of his career, and one whose hyper-anxious tone suits our time.

Gambino’s New World Tour , his first since 2019, will include stops across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand and include Amaarae and Willow for select dates. Presale begins Wednesday and general sales begin Friday.

The “Community” alum and “Atlanta” star launches the tour on Aug. 11 in Oklahoma City and comes to Los Angeles on Sept. 18 and 19, where he’ll play Crypto.com Arena with Willow. His other California show will be Sept. 21 in San Francisco, where he’ll play the Chase Center with Amaarae. Gambino wraps the North American leg of the tour in Chicago in October then heads to France, across Europe then to Australia and New Zealand. The tour is slated to wrap in Perth, Australia, in February 2025.

Review: Childish Gambino says he’s done touring. First he played the Forum

The most striking image in Childish Gambino’s concert Sunday night at the Forum didn’t emanate from the stage, where Donald Glover was performing the first of two Los Angeles dates on what the actor and writer is calling his final tour under the name of his musical alter ego.

“ATAVISTA is streaming now,” the “Redbone” and “This Is America” hitmaker said in announcing the 11-track album Sunday on X , after teasing the release of the reimagined project last month. “This album is the finished version of ‘3.15.20’, the album i put out 4 years ago. there’s a special vinyl coming soon w/ visuals for each song. the all new childish gambino album comes out in the summer. also.... little foot, big foot video.”

The “Swarm” creator and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” star is expected to follow the project with the soundtrack for his film “Bando Storm and the New World.”

Upon releasing “Atavista” on Sunday — an album that features Ariana Grande, 21 Savage and Summer Walker — he also dropped the album’s first single, the upbeat “Little Big Foot.” The accompanying music video was directed by Glover’s “Atlanta” series director and Emmy winner Hiro Murai, stars “Abbott Elementary” creator and star Quinta Brunson and features Young Nudy.
