Excellent Christmas Light Tour!

Sailed the intracoastal during the evening to see the big houses with their fancy Christmas decorations. It was really fun. Loved the narration during the trip. We were informed of famous and well-to-do people who own the homes and other interesting fun facts about them and Fort Lauderdale in general. Definitely worth the time and the money and great for the kids too. They have a bar that serves cocktails, beer and food. Decent prices too.

It was excellent. We were lucky it was a perfect day. I have been on this cruise at least 10 times. The boat is clean, crew very accommodating. Would highly recommend to all. LOVE IT!!

Pseudo paddle river boat. Crew are good and the narration superb. Peaceful cruise to see the homes of the rich and famous. Refreshments available.

We enjoyed this cruise on one of Florida's canals - we saw many beautiful and unusual homes. We had booked the 11:00 a.m. cruise and it was full on the top deck. We sat under the canopy, but there were also seats in the sun and inside. The narration was informative, but not intrusive. Very enjoyable.

What a beautiful day on the New River and Intercoastal doing the harbor tour on the Carrie B. The tour guide was very thorough and we could hear and understand him very well. This is a fun and relaxing way to sight see the beautiful waterways of Fort Lauderdale. I definitely recommend it.

It was a perfect late morning on the water, with sunshine, light breezes and interesting facts about the history as well as current facts. Can't believe that there are mansions on the water where the owners pay upwards of $1000/day in real estate taxes or that you can charter a boat for a week for $200,000, excluding fuel and provisions!. Overall, informative, entertaining and relaxing. We would highly recommend this excursion.

Based on the information on the Carrie B website, I expected to see A LOT more lights. I’d say there was lights the first 30 min or so. I realize they can not control how many homes are decorated, but maybe don't promote it as heavily as such. Where there weren’t lights it was dark, so fairly boring- we were more than ready to be done after an hour. I think it would be nicer in the day time when all the houses, etc can be seen.

Great way to spend Christmas Eve with family & friends. The boat is very clean, staff knowledgeable. An affordable cruise, great way to see Ft Lauderdale by water. You won’t be disappointed.

We did the Carrie B Cruise about 15 years ago and really enjoyed ourselves. It was fun, informative and very relaxing. About five years ago we made the mistake of doing the Jungle Queen Cruise and it was a horrible experience. This time in Fort Lauderdale we did the Carrie B again (at their new location) and once again had a great experience. Will continue to ride this again in the future and recommend to our clients and others.

Every season we jump on the light cruise. One of my Christmas traditional. Never fails to entertain, relax and enjoy a cocktail!

This week my wife and I took an evening sale on the Carrie B along with another couple who was visiting from N.Y. The weather was perfect. We sat up on top as we cruised up and down the intracoastal waterway. On the trip we were treated to the many homes that were decorated for the holidays. There was a gentleman who provided a wealth of information along the route including letting us know who some of the well known celebrities and business people had homes along the route. There was a good selection of snacks and drinks from hot chocolate to cocktails. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to spend 2 hours enjoying a trip along this famous waterway.

We arrived in Ft. Lauderdal the day before we would take a 10 day cruise to the Panama Canal. Freinds had taken a Ft. Lauderdale boat tour last year and enjoyed it, so we booked a tour on the Carrie B. Unbelievable! We saw very impressives mansions, yachts and scenery and, best of all, the crew were amazing. The bar tender made a first class Manhattan (who would have gussed?), the boat's owner Steve Jordan was a prince and a delight to speak to, and, the tour guide must have lived in every big home and yacht as there is no other way she could have been so well informed. We were sad when the tour ended it was that marvelous. Thank you.

We'll be in Ft Lauderdale this December and are thinking of booking one of these evening Christmas lights cruises. Has anyone been on one? Do you recommend it? How early do we have to book it? Thanks for any info!

If your thinking of December 13th book now (that's the night of our Winterfest Parade), chances are it's already sold out. Any other night you can get on without a reservation. Around the holidays they do a lot of private charters. You may want to call them and ask about the availability on the date you want.

I am thinking of either the 19th or 20th. Have you ever taken this tour? I'd love your input. There will be 14 of us, aged 70 to 8 years old.

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening trip down the New River and up the Intercoastal aboard the Carrie B. on Christmas night. Ship owner Steve gave engaging, informative commentary on the amazing estates and yachts along the waterways. For the holidays the homes are professionally decorated with lights and the crew attends to every request. All in all, the best water trip available to view the spectacular waterfront of Fort Lauderdale. Bring the camera & enjoy.

This was a relaxing ride. I anticipated seeing a lot of holiday lights but unfortunately there weren’t too many homes lit. The guide was informative for about 45 minutes and then went silent.

Thank you for your comment. Please note every homeowner does not light up their home. As for receiving information for 45 minutes, many guests prefer the peaceful return trip along with the holiday music. Due to the fact that it is difficult to see in the dark, you may have enjoyed the daytime tour in the daylight allowing more narration.

The tour was very nice! Left promptly, very comfortable, smooth ride, and the tour guide very entertaining. Great way to see the amazing homes on the Intercoastal. The 90-min tour was just the right length. Highly recommend!

Open deck on top, air conditioned cabin below. We booked the Carrie B specifically for the a/c. Everyone else sat on the upper deck. The narration in the cabin was a bit muffled and difficult to understand. Also, decorated for Christmas so a lot of the view was blocked from the cabin. Overall a pretty good experience.
