Collectibles are a major component of Geometry Dash while having limited availability in Geometry Dash Lite , Geometry Dash Meltdown , Geometry Dash World and Geometry Dash SubZero . The various types of collectibles are used as either progress indicators or currency and contribute towards unlocking content such as achievements , icons , levels and secret content for the player to find.

• Secret coins
• Demon levels
• Creator Points

Stars were introduced in Update 1.3 and are present in all Geometry Dash games. Completing any level in normal mode, with the exception of user levels which have not received a star rating, will reward a set number of stars. They are also rewarded for completing map packs , in addition to those rewarded for completing the included levels. Stars contribute towards unlocking icons and achievements, progressing paths, as well as determining placement on the Leaderboards .

A total of 2,838 stars can be earned from completing official content:

• Geometry Dash Lite rewards 126 stars from this method.
• Geometry Dash Meltdown rewards 6 stars from this method.
• Geometry Dash World rewards 28 stars from this method.
• Geometry Dash SubZero rewards 18 stars from this method.
• 1,818 stars are rewarded from completing map packs, divided between 1,365 level stars and 453 pack stars, with up to 10 stars per level and per pack.
• 818 stars are rewarded from completing gauntlet levels, with up to 10 stars per level.
• Geometry Dash World rewards 3 stars from this method.

Stars can also be obtained by beating User Levels or Main Level.

• Unrated levels reward 0 stars.
• Auto levels reward 1 star each.
• Easy levels reward 2 stars each (1-2 stars each for main levels).
• Normal levels reward 3 stars each (3-4 stars each for main levels)
• Hard levels reward 4-5 stars each (5-6 stars each for main levels).
• Harder levels reward 6-7 stars each (7-10 stars each for main levels).
• Insane levels reward 8-9 stars each (10-12 stars each for main levels).
• Demon levels reward 10 stars each, regardless of sub-difficulty (14-15 stars each for main levels).

Stars can be viewed from the Icon Kit and stats record. Stars are visible to other players from a user profile and from the Leaderboards. The limit to the number of stars that can be obtained is 16,777,215, though in practice the highest number of stars one can obtain is slightly under 300,000.

Moons were introduced in Update 2.2 and are present in Geometry Dash. Completing rated platformer levels in normal mode rewards a set number of moons. Moons contribute towards unlocking icons and achievements and progressing paths.

A total of 25 moons can be earned from completing official content:

• 25 moons are rewarded for completing Tower levels, with each level rewarding 5-7 moons.

Moons can also be obtained by beating User Levels .

• Unrated levels reward 0 moons.
• Auto levels reward 1 moon each.
• Easy levels reward 2 moons each.
• Normal levels reward 3 moons each.
• Hard levels reward 4-5 moons each.
• Harder levels reward 6-7 moons each.
• Insane levels reward 8-9 moons each.
• Demon levels reward 10 moons each, regardless of sub-difficulty.

Moons can be viewed from the Icon Kit and stats record. Moons are visible to other players from a user profile and from the Leaderboards.

Secret coins were introduced in Update 1.6 and are present in all Geometry Dash games. They are collected within main levels during gameplay and obtained by completing map packs . For those within levels, although it is not necessary to collect all three secret coins in one attempt, they will be lost if crashing before reaching the level's end. Once successfully collected, secret coins will be replaced by white outlines on subsequent attempts. They cannot be collected in practice mode . Secret coins contribute towards unlocking icons and achievements, as well as the Demon difficulty main levels.

A total of 164 secret coins can be obtained:

• Geometry Dash Lite features 48 secret coins from this method.
• Geometry Dash Meltdown features 9 secret coins from this method.
• Geometry Dash SubZero features 9 secret coins from this method.
• 83 secret coins are rewarded for completing map packs, 1 per pack or 2 for those of Demon difficulty.
• Geometry Dash Lite features 1 secret coin from this method, although the levels must be cycled through five times over.
• 12 secret coins are rewarded for completing specific tasks in each of the levels in The Tower .
• Geometry Dash World features 2 secret coins from this method.

Secret coins can be viewed from the Icon Kit and stats record. Secret coins are visible to other players from a user profile and from the Leaderboards .

• Deadlocked , Viking Arena , Airborne Robots and Nock Em each require a key, while Power Trip and Dash require tapping/clicking four (Power Trip) or six (Dash) times on the screen, and Fingerdash requires 10 tokens to be collected to make a secret coin collectable.
• Power Trip is the only level that has all secret coins within its cube sequences.
• Cycles , Hexagon Force , Blast Processing , Geometrical Dominator and Fingerdash are the only levels that do not have a secret coin within a cube sequence.
• Electrodynamix , Deadlocked, Nock Em and Power Trip are the only levels that do not have a secret coin within a ship sequence.
• Cycles, Electroman Adventures , Hexagon Force and Nock Em are the only levels that have a secret coin within a ball sequence since the form was introduced in Update 1.2 .
• Theory of Everything , Clubstep , Electrodynamix, Blast Processing and Deadlocked are the only levels that have a secret coin within a UFO sequence since the form was introduced in Update 1.5 .
• Blast Processing and Theory of Everything 2 are the only levels that have a secret coin within a wave sequence since the form was introduced in Update 1.9 .
• Geometrical Dominator and Deadlocked are the only levels that have a secret coin within a robot sequence since the form was introduced in Update 2.0 .
• Fingerdash and Nock Em are the only levels to have a secret coin within a spider sequence since the form was introduced in Update 2.1 .
• Time Machine is the only level to have a secret coin collected while in mirror mode since the portal was introduced in Update 1.1 .
• Blast Processing is the only level to have a secret coin collected while in dual mode since the portal was introduced in Update 1.8 .
• Many secret coin routes in levels introduced prior to Update 1.6 use objects that were not in the game during their initial release.

Secret coin locations

User coins were introduced in Update 2.0 and are present in Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash World. They serve the purpose of secret coins for user levels and function almost identically. They contribute towards unlocking icons and achievements, as well as the Vault .

Original concept but animated

Up to three user coins are offered for use in the level editor . It is required that they are able to be collected as part of the level verification process. Upon submitting a user level that includes user coins, their colour will initially start as bronze and they will not count towards a player's user coin tally. After being verified by a level moderator, their colour will convert to silver and count towards a player's user coin tally.

User coins can be viewed from the Icon Kit and stats record. Secret coins are visible to other players from a user profile and from the Leaderboards .

Mana orbs were introduced in Update 2.1 and are present in Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash World . They serve as currency and are used to purchase items from each of the shops . A player's current total can be viewed from the Icon Kit or from a shop. The lifetime total of accumulated mana orbs can be viewed from the stats record. Mana orbs are not visible to other players.

Mana orbs are accumulated by:

• Opening the daily chests .
• Opening chests from the Treasure Room .
• Opening the chest after beating the weekly demon .
• Completing the Bonus Gauntlet .
• Completing gauntlets that normally reward a type of shard while already having 100 of that shard.
• Watching advertisements from the shop (Geometry Dash World only).
• Making forward progress on levels that received a star rating with a difficulty higher than Auto, accordingly scaled per difficulty as follows:
• Example: If a level has a difficulty of insane (350 orbs) and you crash at 46%, the amount of orbs you will receive is 128 (350 * 0.8 * 46 / 100 = ⌊128.8⌋ = 128).
• In Geometry Dash World , you can watch an ad to get 100 mana orbs for free. According to Google, unskippable ads make around $0.16 (£0.13), so that means that $1 (£0.82) is equivalent to about 625 mana orbs.

Diamonds were introduced in Update 2.1 and are present in Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash World. Diamonds contribute towards unlocking icons and achievements, as well as the Vault of Secrets , the secret level The Challenge , and two of the shops . They are visible to other players from a user profile and from the Leaderboards .

In Update 2.2 , a related currency called Diamond Shards was added; each Diamond earned also grants a Diamond Shard. Diamond Shards can be used to purchase items from the Diamond Shop.

Diamonds are obtained by:

• Completing the daily quests .
• Opening the chest after beating the weekly demon.
• Playing levels from gauntlets .
• Completing the Paths .
• Making forward progress in as well as completing the daily level or weekly demon , accordingly scaled per difficulty as follows:
• The number of diamonds a level grants you is always the star count plus two, with the only exceptions being unrated and auto levels, both of which provide 0 diamonds.

Keys , formally Demon Keys , were introduced in Update 2.1 and are present in Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash World. They are obtained either from daily chests or by surpassing an interval of 500 mana orbs.

Keys unlock the Treasure Room , and this is the only place that they can be viewed. One key opens a silver chest, 5-10 keys open a gold chest, and 25-100 keys are required to open a single Tier 2 Chest. Even after opening all the chests, players will still be able to receive them.

Shards , formally Shards of Power , were introduced in Update 2.1 and are present in Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash World. Currently, there are ten types of shards spread across two tiers. Tier 1 features the types fire, ice, poison, shadow and lava. Tier 2's shard types are blood, earth, light, metal and soul, which have been added in Update 2.2 . They are viewed from the Shards of Power menu through the Icon Kit where associated rewards are also displayed. Each type of shard individually contributes towards unlocking icons and achievements. Additional bonus unlocks are unlockable for each tier, with progress based on the lowest number of shards in it of which all types are in possession.

Up to 100 of each shard can be obtained, after which any shards of that type will be automatically converted to 100 mana orbs.

Shards are obtained by:

• Opening daily chests.
• Completing the corresponding gauntlet .
• Completing the corresponding Paths .

The Demon difficulty rating was introduced in Update 1.3 , and Demon sub-difficulties were introduced in Update 2.1 . Although not an actual collectible, a player’s number of completed Demon difficulty levels can be viewed from the stats record, as well as by other players from a user profile and from the Leaderboards . Completing demon levels in Normal mode contributes towards unlocking icons and achievements.

Sub-difficulties only provide an indication of difficulty and do not provide different rewards on completion, though they can be viewed on user profiles. While the main Demon difficulty is determined by Robtop , like all other levels, sub-difficulties are determined by community votes. All demons default as Hard Demon rating, and then get their sub-difficulties after enough community votes.

When a custom level is star rated by Robert Topala , Creator points are awarded to the account who uploaded it. Depending on the level's rating, the amount of creator points it awards varies:

• One creator point is awarded if a level is given a star rating.
• Two creator points are awarded if the level is Featured.
• Three creator points are awarded if the level is given an Epic rating.
• Four creator points are awarded if the level is given a Legendary rating.
• Five creator points are awarded if the level is given a Mythic rating.

Earning at least one creator point completes the "Geometry Star" achievement.

Coins and upgrades.

Posted on 06 January 22 at 22:29 Has anyones coins and upgrades just completely reset just out of nowhere. I didn't check if my items or collectibles have but I am suspect that is also the case. And if so any idea how to reverse it or do i have restart?

Posted on 07 January 22 at 07:40 Yeah, happened to me, and I've seen others report something similar. I loaded the game to continue playing and found my upgrades gone, and all of my inventory lost. I'm sorry to tell you, I think it's permanent. To avoid it happening again, I tried to do everything in a single session. The game crashed late in my playthrough, but I managed to unlock all but 2 achievements. I got those on a partial 3rd run.

Posted on 08 January 22 at 17:36 Seems like the way to stop 90% of glitches is to just beat the game in one shot (taking a break is fine just never close the game or system) I’ve been unlocking most of the achievements this way.

POWER TRIP's first full set with new vocalist: see setlist and videos

Texas thrashers Power Trip swung their axes again last night (June 6th) in Pomona, California, marking their first full performance with new vocalist Seth Gilmore ( Fugitive , Skourge).

The set at the Glasshouse marked the first of a stretch of shows Power Trip are playing this year, including an additional appearance in L.A. as part of this weekend's inaugural No Values punk fest. While the band did in fact play a five-song "secret" set at Austin, Texas' Mohawk venue last December — marking the group's first public performance since the death of founding vocalist Riley Gale in 2020 — last night's SoCal show stop found PT suffering no fools for a full, 13-song smash-about.

The band naturally drilled into their legendary "Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe)," but also whipped through faster thrashers like "Hornet's Nest," "Nightmare Logic" and "Firing Squad." Power Trip closed the night by pile-driving out an encore of Manifest Decimation 's "The Hammer of Doubt."

The night also featured opening sets from Spy and SpiritWorld, who were also both on-hand to film parts of Power Trip's set. You'll find live clips, the full setlist (via Setlist.fm ), and Power Trip's remaining tour dates down below.

Power Trip's plans beyond these shows is as yet unclear, but guitarist Blake Ibanez (who also performs alongside Gilmore in Fugitive) mentioned that PT had banked "a record's worth of music" a couple of years ago.

Why one Democratic pollster sees a ‘coin-flip race’

Eight questions for … Zac McCrary: With Election Day less than five months away, we’re planning to talk regularly with pollsters in both parties about the trends they’re seeing. This week, we spoke with a Democratic pollster about the impact of former president Donald Trump ’s conviction, why President Biden is struggling with Hispanic and Black voters, and how independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. might affect the race. (McCrary’s firm polls for Biden’s campaign, but McCrary is not one of the pollsters working on it.)

This interview has been edited and condensed for length and clarity.

How would you describe the presidential race based on the current polling?

It’s a coin-flip race. You could certainly make a case that Trump has the advantage. You can make the case that Biden’s in a little better shape than some of the polling might indicate at this phase, but it feels pretty much like a coin flip — which is really what most of the presidential campaigns have been in [June] for the last 20-plus years.

What's the case for why President Biden is in better shape than it might appear?

A winning Trump coalition is built on strong margins with lower-propensity voters. That is something that I think should and will keep a lot of the Trump people up at night.

It’s more apparent how a winning Biden coalition comes together at the end of the day. There’s more variables, more wild cards, more ways that the Trump coalition could fail to come together.

What’s your sense of how Trump’s conviction has affected the race?

Whoever is the focal point at a given time, that does not wear well for that candidate. In 2016, when the stories were about Trump’s statements and Trump’s “Access Hollywood” tape, his numbers [went] down. But at the end of the campaign when the focus was on Hillary Clinton ’s emails, [the] Comey letter, Clinton paid a price for that. I think that is a good way to think about Trump’s convictions, as well as the 2024 race more broadly.

When do you think we'll have a clearer picture of the impact of the conviction?

It’s very difficult to say. But as the focus is on both of these candidates instead of just on President Biden, a lot of voters are going to be looking for tiebreakers. And I think this is more along the lines of a tiebreaker against Trump than it is an immediate dealbreaker for him.

What do polls show about why Biden is struggling with Black and Hispanic voters?

I don’t think it’s much different than why Biden is struggling with voters nationally: cost of living, rising costs, inflation. When we have focus groups of average White voters and average Black voters, average Latino voters [and we] ask them what their concerns are, what’s top of mind, what their day-to-day struggles are, what they would like to see the president or Washington or their leaders address — there’s really not that much daylight along racial lines.

What about White voters? How is Biden holding up with them?

One of the silver linings is that Biden is generally in a similar place with White voters [as] he was in 2020. If you’re a Democrat, you’d much rather be in a place where you’re holding your White voters and you just need to go strengthen your performance with voters of color. I don’t say it’s automatic or easy, but I think that is a more manageable task than if Biden had cratered with White voters.

How do you think Kennedy affects the race?

Early in the campaign, I think he was a bit more of a natural placeholder for Democrats who were not enthused [about Biden]. But as the campaign has progressed, as voters have seen more of him, I think that it’s become much more muddled as to who Kennedy hurts — and I think [he] is just as likely to draw voters from Trump at the end of the day. He is a vessel for crackpots, for cranks, for people who are just not part of the political system.

New York Times/Siena College polls last month found Sens. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), Bob Casey (D-Pa.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.), and Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) — who’s running for Senate — running far ahead of Biden in their states . Some Republicans argue they will ultimately run much closer to Biden. How far ahead of Biden do you think they can run?

In 2016, Democratic campaigns often got tied in knots about how Trump was such a [singular] political persona. How credible was it to attach a Republican senator, a Republican House candidate to Trump? We found that in a lot of cases, it wasn’t that credible. Voters didn’t buy that their average Republican member of Congress was like Trump, or what they didn’t like about Trump was not something that really mapped onto the Republican candidates down-ballot.

We’re in a different world now. It’s almost the inverse, where the Trump positive is not attaching itself to other Republicans, whereas eight years ago the Trump negative really wasn’t attaching.

What we’re watching

In the courts.

This morning, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts is set to release the latest financial disclosure reports for the Supreme Court justices. The annual reports detail the justices’ finances, gifts and outside income, as well as their spouses’ sources of income.

Our colleague Tobi Raji , who covers the court, tells us she’s watching whether Justice Clarence Thomas reports any gifts from the Dallas billionaire Harlan Crow or trips on his private jet.

She’s also curious how much the justices — particularly Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson — earned from book deals; whether Justice Amy Coney Barrett provides additional information about her husband’s work or clients ; and whether Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. requests an extension to file his disclosure, as he has in previous years.

At the White House

Biden is set to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today in Paris.

He will travel to the Normandy coast later in the day and give a speech about democracy. We’re watching what parallels he draws between World War II, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the upcoming presidential election at home.

In the economy

The Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the May jobs report this morning.

Economists predict it “will extend the longest streak of low unemployment — under 4 percent — that the U.S. economy has seen in decades, potentially going back 70 years to the early 1950s,” our colleague Lauren Kaori Gurley reports .

On the Hill

Trump suggests congress should lose final say on spending.

The Constitution gives the power of the purse to Congress, but Donald Trump is reportedly exploring ways he could get around Congress’s spending power.

Trump spokesman Jason Miller told our colleague Jacob Bogage that he believes executive impoundment — the president’s refusal to spend money appropriated by Congress — has been “wrongly curtailed in recent decades.” It’s a concept that other members of Trump’s team have said they see as well within the rights of the presidency.

Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle aren’t comfortable with that idea.

• “A blanket unconditional impoundment is clearly unconstitutional, and that would obviously create a crisis between [the executive and legislative branches],” said Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
• “I think all too often already the Biden administration is showing they’re not following the law as we put it down, and they’re taking regulatory fiat and executive orders to a level that is very problematic and increasing the deficit,” said Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.), who also serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee. “So no, I am not interested in giving them more power. I’m more interested in giving them less power.”

Other Republicans aren’t so sure it’s a bad idea, including the GOP’s most vocal Trump critic in office, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), who suggested he’d have to see how impoundment was used.

• “There are places I’m sure where Congress suggests that money ought to be spent and a president could determine that’s wasteful and inefficient and it would be appropriate not to spend it all,” said Romney.

Biden and world leaders gathered in Normandy, France, yesterday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, where the president used the opportunity to underscore some of the central tenets of his campaign against Trump.

Biden did not mention Trump by name, but he spoke passionately about the importance of global alliances and drew a link between the historic fight against the Nazis and the modern-day battles against authoritarianism and isolationism, my colleagues Cleve R. Wootson Jr. and Toluse Olorunnipa report from France.

“In their generation, in their hour of trial, the Allied forces of D-Day did their duty,” Biden said as he stood before dozens of World War II veterans — many of them over 100 years old — at the Normandy American Cemetery. “Now the question for us is, in our hour of trial, will we do ours?”

Biden has tried to use as many public remarks as possible — especially ones as high-profile as Thursday’s, which were intended for a global audience but also hit on the key themes of his presidential campaign — to draw a sharp contrast between him and Trump, and to remind people of Trump’s isolationist view of the world.

“Isolationism was not the answer 80 years ago, and it’s not the answer today,” he said to applause, adding that “the struggle between dictatorship and freedom is unending.”

Yet that has become increasingly challenging as more voters repudiate the cost of global alliances and argue that the United States should be focused on issues at home. That view is clear in polls showing an increasing number of voters growing skeptical of or opposed to continued U.S. aid to Ukraine.

Biden also argued that the effort to support Ukraine’s defense against Russia’s invasion is an extension of the fight against the Nazis 80 years ago.

Biden’s speech garnered widespread media coverage, which doesn’t always happen with his remarks. Whether it breaks through to voters and the domestic audience he has pinpointed remains to be seen.

The campaign

Trump focuses on immigration at first post-conviction rally.

Donald Trump returned to the campaign trail yesterday, one week after being convicted on 34 felony counts for falsifying business records.

He mentioned the trial at his Phoenix rally, but mostly focused on his pet political issues, like attacking President Biden and calling for tighter border security. Trump talked at length about undocumented immigration, calling the increase in crossings at the southern border during the Biden administration “the Biden invasion.”

• “In other words, at his first major campaign event since his conviction, the Trump show went on with little change in the programming,” our colleague Hannah Knowles reports .

Trump’s conviction did nothing to dampen enthusiasm among fans at the rally either , many of whom raised their hands when another speaker asked who had given money “after the conviction.”

Posters bearing Trump’s mug shot from his Georgia election interference trial could be seen in the audience as well. Despite his several felony trials and his recent convictions, Trump promised the crowd he would be a “law and order” candidate.

I love the show and have been a follower for years. That said, I have less respect for Greg as a journalist because of the Stephen A Smithness he seems to pine after. If you don’t follow a sport like hockey, probably just sit it out, because it’s cringe and unlistenable. I love Greg as a character, I think he’s amazing, but watch the sport before you form an opinion. It’s okay to just say “I’m not a hockey guy.” Do something to better yourself in your own opinions or just grab a bagel when the hockey talk starts.

Nothing will make me hit rewind like a Jessica laugh. Especially when she has to take a breath, and keeps laughing. It’s so genuine & infectious. Unlike the Stugotz laugh, which I fast forward through.

Great show. Stu’s good on women’s sports.
