Power steering fluid is used to pressurize the steering system in your vehicle to help you turn your steering wheel more easily. Like transmission fluid or brake fluid, power steering fluid is a hydraulic fluid, meaning that it carries the pressure generated by the belt-driven power steering pump to the rack and pinion unit as needed to minimize the driver's effort when turning. Checking your power steering fluid level and condition regularly is the easiest way to maintain your power steering system, as low levels of power steering fluid can cause poor steering performance. Does anyone know what is the stock power steering  fluid coming from factory? I would like to top up mine but don't want to mix the fluids since there is two recommended. Owner's manual recommends either MOPAR power steering  +4 or ATF+4 fluids but I have heard mixing them is a bad idea.

I just add what the manual  recommends. If they recommend both, then there is no issue with mixing as I'm quite sure the manufacturer would state that as a precaution if it were an issue. 

Both Mopar  ATF+4 and Mopar Power Steering Fluid +4 comply to the same material standard (MS-9602).  Everything I've seen from my 2010 Chrysler T&C to my 2015 DJ is that either fluid is acceptable.

I have done a replacement of my van's power steering pressure hose, twice.  Parts were sourced from a dealership.  They sold me ATF + 4 , even when explicitly told what repair I was performing.  Other than the hose failing again, the same way the original did (because of a poorly designed part), I haven't had any issues.

I think so. If that’s the case I’ll grab some Castrol  ATF + 4  from Walmart and top it up. I think they have similar viscosity. It’s interesting how they’re interchangeable for  power steering  but not interchangeable for transmission. Hmmm..

Checking the power steering fluid level in your Journey is relatively easy and should be done once a month or if you are experienced difficulty turning the wheel or steering your Journey. Your Journey should be parked on a level surface and your 3.5 liter engine should be cold to the touch. If the power steering fluid level in your Journey is low, fill it up to the maximum line with power steering fluid and check it again in a week to determine if you have a leak. The power steering fluid reservoir will typically have a symbol of a steering wheel on the cap. Likewise, if your Journey has electric power steering, you may see a steering wheel picture with an explanation point next to it on your dashboard to indicate power steering problems.

very satisfied so far, speedy service and customer friendly, This is my 3rd one in the past year, the last 2 were purchased from a Florida re-builder and both times they failed within 3 months. there prices were higher and there turn around time between 6 to 9 weeks.

A local shop wanted to charge me $4,500 to install a new TIPM, I removed mine and sent it in to Module Masters. They repaired it and had it back to me in a week and I was able to install it and get back on the road!

After reinstalling my Module Master rebuilt TIPM, everything electrical is working correctly!! Thanks so much for a quality job!
