  • Trivia Taylor Swift had the idea for a concert movie in 2022, but no major film distributors showed any interest. Feedback on social media indicated a lot of interest from fans who had never seen her live. Swift decided to distribute the film through her own company at her own expense. The film was a massive box office success worldwide, and her gamble paid off relatively quickly.
  • Goofs Taylor's hair position changes between shots throughout the whole film. Over shoulder in one shot, behind shoulder in the next jump-cut shot, for example. But like any concert film cut together from multiple performances, this is inevitable.
  • Crazy credits Credits feature video clips of fans from before the shows & outtakes of things that went wrong on stage throughout the tour, all set to "Long Live (Taylor's Version)".
  • Alternate versions The Extended Version includes three songs from the tour not shown in theaters: "Long Live", "The Archer", and "Wildest Dreams."

Taylor Swift Announces Eras Tour Concert Film Roll-Out in More Than 100 Countries

Taylor Swift is taking the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour concert movie across the planet. The singer announced on Tuesday morning (Sept. 26) in an Instagram post that the doc about her record-setting Eras Tour will screen in more than 100 countries around the world.

"The tour isn't the only thing we're taking worldwide……." Swift wrote alongside a globe emoji. "Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13! Tickets available now at www.TSTheErasTourFilm.com or on your local theaters website!"

The extensive list of countries slated to screen the film beginning on Oct. 13 includes: Albania, Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Bermuda, Colombia, Cyprus, Ecuador, Fiji, Gibraltar, Iceland, Italy, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Malta, Mauritius, Moldova, Nicaragua, Peru, Poland, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Ukraine, Venezuela and Zambia, among many others; the film is also slated to hit Brazil, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Macau, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey and Vietnam on Nov. 3. Tickets for most of the international screenings outside N. America will go on sale on Sept. 26.

According to The Hollywood Reporter , AMC Theatres, which is handling the release in the U.S., is also serving as the international distributor of the movie, with AMC and partners working on agreements with movie theater operators who represent more than 7,500 cinemas around the world.

Swift announced earlier this month that the 2 hour and 45 minute concert film will open in the U.S., Canada and Mexico beginning Oct. 13, with the movie expected to play in more than 4,000 theaters in the three territories The initial roll-out, of course, set one-day sales records for AMC with $26 million in the first 24 hours of on-sale and early projections suggest that it could open to $75 million or more, which would instantly make it the  top-grossing music concert film  ever.

To accommodate the demand, every U.S. AMC Theatre will run the Eras movie at least four times per day on Thursdays, Friday, Saturdays and Sunday. In an Easter egg reference to Swift's favorite numbers,  tickets for the film  are priced at $19.89 plus tax for adults and $13.13 for children and seniors plus tax (except for AMC's branded premium large-format screens.) The film will be available in AMC theaters in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, with tickets on sale now  here  and  here . Super Swifties can also splurge to book a private screening of the movie.

UPDATED: Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour may have missed the century mark in regards to a domestic opening, but the 12x Grammy winner was always guaranteed that number worldwide, with AMC reporting this AM that the Sam Wrench-directed concert pic has racked up $126M-$130M. The international box office opening is estimated at $31M-$33M . AMC is reporting a range à la North America; this the first time the circuit has handled a global theatrical-day-and-date release of this magnitude. Note, we never saw this hitting $200M WW; overseas was always going to be light and at this point remains at the lower-end of expectations.

RELATED: ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ Trailer

AMC is calling the domestic opening between $95M-$97M today, however, rival studios see it lower at $94.3M. At the latter level, it’s the second best opening for October Stateside. Anything north of Joker ‘s $96.2M stateside debut is an October domestic opening record.

The global record for October is a much higher bar with 2019’s Joker posting an opening of $248.4M (unadjusted for inflation and currency swings). Last year, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam posted a $143M worldwide opening; the actor’s draw is enormous abroad. Eras Tour ‘s global opening also blew away that of Michael Jackson’s This Is It which saw $74.25M, the previous worldwide opening record set by a concert-themed movie back in 2009 (unadjusted).

AMC says Eras Tour played in 94 offshore territories at 4,527 venues.

Among the countries that went this weekend were UK/Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Philippines, Spain, Japan, Australia/NZ, Thailand, Poland, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Austria, Denmark, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Columbia, Peru, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, Kenya, South Africa, Greece, Slovakia, Czech, Croatia, Serbia, Estonia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Latvia, Aruba, Angola, Bahamas and Pakistan.

The pic opened in the No. 1 spot in UK/Ireland after unprecedented presales, with Vue Cinemas reporting the same success in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. Unlike the U.S., tickets didn’t go on sale for Eras Tour abroad until a few days prior to opening which is standard for theatrical releases overseas.

Other No. 1 openings included Mexico, Australia, Germany and the Philippines.

Vue Cinemas boss Tim Richards said today that The Eras Tour is “tracking to achieve the highest ever box office takings for an event cinema release in the UK and Ireland.” He added, “We saw an incredible response from Swifties across the UK and Ireland who dressed up, sang along and danced away with fellow fans, with sell-out sessions despite scheduling an unprecedented number of shows so no one missed out.”

While NY-based distributor Variance handled the booking for Stateside theaters, Trafalgar in the UK handled overseas distribution of the AMC-brokered movie.

Swift’s next suite overseas is on November 3 with Brazil, South Korea, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Hungary, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Romania, Singapore, Bulgaria, Taiwan and Macau. In the case of Brazil, the pic didn’t clear censorship in time for a release this weekend.

The global IMAX take was $13.1M, setting a record as biggest opening weekend for a musical act film (concert or documentary) in the format. International markets earned $2.03M from 236 screens.  A further 106 offshore screens will open on October 26 and November 3. IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond said, “The impressive numbers we’re seeing are usually reserved for Hollywood blockbusters, demonstrating how demand for the IMAX experience has expanded beyond our core audience… With this film, Taylor Swift has created an experience that is cinematic in every sense of the word — dazzling, immersive, and undeniably joyous — and in the sound and scope of IMAX it’s the closest thing to being at the concert itself.”

We’ll have more updates for you as they come.

Also new this frame, in staggered rollout, Universal/DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls Band Together started spreading sunshine in five markets. This first wave of openings includes Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia and Lithuania. The start was $1.35M, just off  Trolls  and  The Boss Baby,  and above  Trolls World Tour .

Meanwhile, catering to a younger demo, Paramount/Nickelodeon/Spin Master’s Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is wagging its tail, passing the $100M global threshold in just 15 days. This weekend added a strong $24.5M in 67 markets including 11 new openings. Now out in 95% of the overseas paw print, the cume is $76.5M at the international box office and $126.4M global. Holdovers were down just 24%.

These dogs are having their day, already surpassing 2021’s Paw Patrol film, which, recall, played and played. The Mighty Movie still has a long way to go and is expected to cross $200M worldwide. It’s already driven a significant increase in engagement on Nickelodeon linear, Paramount+ and consumer products, where the pups are on track to deliver over $1.5B at retail this year. The original film, Paw Patrol: The Movie , for the year to date is the most rewatched original/exclusive film on Paramount+, with an average of 6.8 times rewatched.

In new openings this session, France bow-wowed to No. 1 with $4.5M at 638 sites. School holidays are coming up from October 23 to November 3. The UK debuted at No. 2 with $4.2M from 618 locations; there are staggered school holidays from Monday to November 3. Poland launched with a No. 1 start of $2.4M from 328 cinemas and Spain was also a No. 1 play with $1.9M from 369.

China is the lead market overall at $14.9M (down just 3% from last weekend), followed by Germany at $6.9M (with a -11% hold), Mexico has grossed $5.7M and Australia $4.6M

Markets yet to open are Sweden on October 27 and Japan on December 15.

Universal/Blumhouse/Morgan Creek’s The Exorcist: Believer added 26 offshore markets this weekend, including Brazil and France, for another $15.9M to reach $40M to date internationally and performing above  Scream VI  and in line with  Evil Dead Rise  in the same markets. France had a No. 2 start with $1.7M from 332 screens, just off Halloween , above  Halloween Ends, M3GAN, Scream  and  Evil Dead Rise . Brazil took $1.5M including previews in over 1000 locations, the 2 nd  biggest opening of all time for a Blumhouse title in the market, only behind  M3GAN . The launch is above  Insidious: The Red Door  and  Halloween . The UAE  started with $500K – above  Annabelle ,  Halloween ,  Smile ,  Evil Dead Rise  and  M3GAN, – at a clear No. 1. The global total is now $85M , of which IMAX is $4M.

Top plays so far are Mexico ($6.8M), UK ($4.2M), Spain ($2.5M), Italy ($2.4M) and Germany ($1.9M).

left early because i was tired and she had already done the 5 or so songs i know, but it’s hard to deny the contagious spirit of a bombastic stadium pop show. she’s the most famous person in the world for a reason! found a lot of joy in watching my friends scream sing her songs and bond so immediately with the little girls dancing in the aisles. can’t say it converted me into a swiftie but it did feel like going to church with your friend in 4th grade after sleeping over on a saturday. “ohhh wow you get to drink wine and sing songs and eat crackers? i can see why you’re all about this guy. pass that shit. sorry i cussed miss reynolds”

‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ Movie: Tickets, Release Dates, Premiere & Where To Watch

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Taylor Swift has the highest-grossing concert tour of the year, and she’s set out to conquer movie theaters, as well. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour , which opened Thursday , has already sold more than $100 million in advance ticket sales in 8,500 theaters across 100 countries around the world. It could make $107 million in the U.S. alone by the end of the first weekend, and Swift gets to keep about 60% of that .

How was the world premiere?

The movie will had its world premiere screening Wednesday, October 11 at The Grove in Los Angeles. Swift was on hand, as were Beyoncé, Maren Morris, Hayley Kiyoko, Adam Sandler, Simu Liu, Mariska Hargitay, Fortune Feimster, Julia Garner, Victoria Garrick Browne & Flavor Flav . The movie received a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement , allowing all parties to promote the film — which includes attending red carpets.

Swift watched the feature with friends and fans in the AMC Grove’s Dolby auditorium alongside Garner. The Dolby venue was her last stop after introducing the movie in 13 of the 14 AMC auditoriums at The Grove; 13 being her lucky number.

“Let me preface this by saying, I’ve always had fun doing this,” the 12x Grammy winner told the crowd, “I can’t believe music is my career. That’s crazy to me. I’ve always loved it.”

But, she continued, “I’ve never had a fraction of the amount of fun I had on the  Eras Tour  before — ever.”

When does it open in theaters?

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour hit AMC theaters via Variance Films in the United States beginning late Thursday. The movie, which runs 2 hours and 48 minutes, will play at least four showtimes per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays over the following four weekends at all AMC locations. It will also have screenings Tuesday, October 31 — Halloween night.

Is ‘The Eras Tour’ any good?

Well, even haters  aren’t  going to hate on this one: Critics on Rotten Tomatoes are giving   The Eras Tour  a 100% score.

Our own critic, Katie Campione agrees .

“Just like the live concert (and possibly even more so),  Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour   is a complete celebration of her impressive 17-year career that puts Swift’s joy on full display and highlights that, perhaps for the first time, she is taking the stage for no one but herself,” writes Campione. “For viewers who weren’t able to secure tickets to the North American leg of The Eras Tour, the concert film will come as a close second.”

Early Screen Engine/Comscore PostTrak from Thursday night seem to support that assessment. Preview audiences surveyed on preview night gave  The Eras Tours  five stars or 95% positive. Taylor Swift is one of the biggest names in the music industry. Her 2022 album Midnights marked the tenth entry into her impressive discography and kickstarted the beginning of her Eras tour in March 2023. While on tour across the United States and Mexico, the 12-time Grammy winner pleasantly surprised fans on August 31 with an announcement of the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert movie. Tickets went on sale (and immediately sold out) that same day.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie is clearly the hottest event of this fall season. Here is everything you need to know about it movie before heading to the theater.

What to know about Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (concert movie)

The Eras tour takes audiences on a captivating musical journey spanning all of Taylor Swift’s unique "eras", paying homage to each of her albums. These albums are 2006's Taylor Swift, Fearless in 2008, 2010's Speak Now, Red in 2012, 1989 in 2014, 2017's Reputation, Lover in 2019, 2020's Folkmore and Evermore, and Midnights in 2022. You can expect to witness her perform some of the most celebrated songs within her catalogue including "Love Story", "Blank Space", and "Anti-Hero."

The movie offers audiences the opportunity to experience the wildly anticipated concert they might not have had the chance to see in person. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie filmed the initial trio of performances at SoFi Stadium in early August. As shown in the concert movie, this huge Los Angeles venue drew an astounding crowd of nearly half a million fans.

As the official concert movie for her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift wants fans to have an authentic concert experience when watching the movie in theaters. When she initially announced it on X, Taylor suggested  that fans should dress up in their best Eras attire, wear friendship bracelets and participate in singing and dancing, just like they would at a live show: "The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon.  Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters in North America! Tickets are on sale now at http:// taylor.lnk.to/TSTheErasTourF ilm … . Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged. 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (iykyk)"

Where can I watch Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour?

If you are in the united states:.

AMC theaters have entered into an exclusive agreement with Swift, allowing only their locations in the United States to screen The Eras Tour movie starting October 13. Canadian theaters will screen the movie as well.

Within minutes of theater tickets for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour being released, the AMC app crashed with fans attempting to buy advance tickets for the movie. This marks the second instance this year where Swifties caused a major website to malfunction, with the first being during the sale for the actual Eras Tour itself. AMC is currently promoting exciting additions for your cinematic experience including Eras Tour-themed popcorn buckets for $14.99+tax and drink cups for $11.99+tax. Exclusive cardigans have, unfortunately, still not been announced.

If you are outside of the United States:

On Tuesday 26th September, 2023, tickets for the official Eras tour concert movie were announced in over 100 countries around the world. Taylor Swift made the announcement on Instagram, sharing that the film will be in theaters in those countries from October 13, 2023.

"The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide…….. 🌎 Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13! Tickets available now at www.TSTheErasTourFilm.com or on your local theaters website!"

Tickets were available immediately after the Instagram post went live. AMC have struck a deal with sub-distribution partners for more than 7,500 movie theatres in order to show the film in theaters around the world. Across Europe, the concert movie will be playing at Odeon theaters. Odeon also announced a special pricing for the event:

"In a nod to Taylor Swift’s 1989 album and her favourite number, 13, tickets in the UK and Ireland will be priced at £19.89 / €19.89 for adults and £13.13 / €13.13 for children."

Will The Eras Tour be on Netflix?

Despite the concert movie's cinematic release on October 13, there has been no announcement about where to stream Taylor Swift: The Era Tour online. Until further notice, the movie is available exclusively in theaters. However, given the record-breaking demand for tickets, it is very likely fans will be able to watch The Eras Tour on streaming services after its theatrical run ends.

You can choose to get notified by JustWatch when a streaming release date is announced by heading to Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour and hitting the notification bell.

How long is Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour?

While an Eras Tour concert typically lasts over three hours on average, the official length of the concert movie is 2 hours and 40 minutes. This makes it much longer than previous Taylor Swift concert movies, such as Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour which is 2 hours and 5 mins.

Who is the director of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour?

Grammy-nominated Sam Wrench is the director of the upcoming concert movie. He earned the coveted nomination for directing Billie Eilish Live At The O2 in 2023. Wrench is best known for his ability in capturing the electrifying essence of a live music event, having also worked on  Lizzo: Live in Concert and BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage - LA . He boasts an impressive resume filled with projects from some of the biggest names in the industry including Mary J. Blige, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

What records did Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour break?

Taylor Swift just keeps adding to her impressive list of record-breaking achievements. The Eras Tour movie shattered the record for the most money made from advance ticket sales in a single day at AMC Theaters, raking in a whopping $26 million. This surpasses the previous record-holder, 2021's  Spider-Man: No Way Home , by $10 million. Fans achieved this record-breaking feat in just three hours, beating  Avengers: Endgame 's record for the most tickets sold within the first 24 hours.

The Eras Tour movie is expected to have an incredible opening weekend, with a projected range of $100-125 million. The top five movies for the year's opening weekends include Barbie , The Super Mario Bros. Movie , Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse , Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania . These range between between $162 million to $106 million, which means the upcoming concert movie has the potential to have one of the best opening weekends of 2023.

Furthermore, the sudden announcement of the movie's release date caused other titles to change their release dates. The Exorcist: Believer , originally slated for the same day, will now premiere a week earlier. Producer Jason Blum playfully tweeted, "Look what you made me do. The Exorcist: Believer moves to 10/6/23.”

What are the other Taylor Swift concert movies?

For those who simply cannot calm down before the release of the movie, there have been a number of projects featuring exclusive access to Swift’s concerts that are available to watch right now. These include The 1989 World Tour Live, which was released on Apple Music in 2015, and 2018’s Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour which is available to stream on Netflix. There were also DVD releases of Taylor Swift: Journey to Fearless in 2010 and Speak Now World Tour – Live the following year.

Swifties alike must ultimately tolerate this Cruel wait with their Gorgeous Style they know Belongs to them. On the Bejeweled side, there are only a few weeks left before they are united by the greatest Love Story on the big screen: Taylor Swift with her Swifties. They are undeniably Ready For It.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will be released in theaters on October 13, 2023.

Here's five facts we learned from the epic taylor swift 'eras tour' movie, the superstar delivers once again.

Screen Shot 2023 10 12 at 7.34.03 PM 3 e1697153959532

So, we take it you saw Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie as well huh? It's only been one of the most anticipated movie releases since it's announcement, so there's no way any of us could let the weekend past without seeing it huh? Taylor Swift is arguably the biggest star on the planet at the moment, and the $125 million this film is projected to make in the US alone during opening weekend is just the latest indication of her power. On the heels of her star-studded Los Angeles premiere at The Grove, the Eras Tour movie is now officially in theaters worldwide. A 2h 48m extravaganza that gives you the opportunity to watch "The Eras Tour" on the big screen if you weren't able to attend in person (or relive the experience if you did get the chance to go), there's lots to take in as you see Swift performing all of her classics in front of sold out crowds.

RELATED: A Guide to All of the Taylor Swift Albums in Order

Seeing as though we're sadly in the category of individuals that didn't get to attend the concert (can we get a media pass next time Tay?), we went into The Eras completely blind and not knowing what was in store for the evening. Here's five interesting facts/takeaways we learned from the movie.

1. The show was filmed during three of six nights at SoFi Stadium

Screen Shot 2023 10 12 at 6.51.40 PM

Do you remember when Swift finished the first leg of her Eras Tour with six sold out shows back in August? Well, apparently this film was constructed with footage from three of those dates. While it's unclear which of those three dates were used from the six-run-stand, the continuity is amazing in the sense that you can't even tell that it wasn't all from the same night. Of course it wouldn't have been a big deal if you could tell as concert films have very clearly blended together multiple dates and have still come out excellent, but we just thought we would call attention to Taylor's approach.

2. The 'Eras Tour' is directed by Sam Wrench

Screen Shot 2023 10 12 at 7.00.57 PM

As we were watching these stunning visuals, we couldn't help but wonder who the mastermind director was behind the project. That, our friends, is Sam Wrench, who is both a Grammy-nominated and Emmy Award winning director. Wrench's previous credits include directing Billie Eilish's 2023 concert film Billie Eilish Live At The O2 and BTS' Permission to Dance on Stage concerts that were held also held at SoFi Stadium in 2021.

3. There is no backstage footage or documentary style interviews

Screen Shot 2023 10 12 at 7.07.48 PM

Concert films tend to either go the way of being "documentary style" in the sense that you also get backstage footage, voiceovers, interviews with some of the cast and crew members, etc., or it can just simply be the performance and the performance alone. For the Eras Tour , Swift opts for the latter as the movie begins right as the concert is beginning and goes straight through. We're fans of both approaches as they each bring their own uniqueness to the table, but for Eras Tour , the performance only mode really makes you feel as though you are actually in SoFi Stadium. That said, Swift still has an additional leg she's embarking on in 2024, so maybe we'll get another film that showcases the behind the scenes once it's all said and done.

4. The 'Eras Tour' is about to do some serious numbers

Screen Shot 2023 10 12 at 7.18.32 PM

We already knew from the crazy pre-sales and opening weekend predictions that The Eras film is going to pull in some massive numbers. However, while watching the movie, we started wondering just how massive those numbers are going to be and did a quick Google search. According to Deadline , the pre-sale numbers are already outpacing Barbie (which is currently the highest-grossing movie of 2023), and Spider-Man: No Way Home . As successful as Barbie was at the box office, Taylor Swift just might end up surpassing it. Insane.

5. Some songs/performances have been cut from the film

Screen Shot 2023 10 12 at 7.23.48 PM

As we mentioned earlier, The Eras tour runtime clocks in at 2h 48m, which means there had to be some cuts made (though we certainly wouldn't have minded had it gone over three hours). Songs such as "Wildest Dreams" and "Love Live" are missing from the film setlist, and there were also some notable costume changes that were cutdown too. Who knows? Maybe Swift has some more things in store for whenever the film hits streaming platforms. For now, it seems as though we'll have to catch some of those songs by way of YouTube clips.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is now available to watch in movie theaters.

How to Watch Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Concert Film

Celebrate the start of The Tortured Poets Department era by reliving Swift's record-breaking concert at home.

the eras tour film peru

Drop everything now. Taylor Swift's newest album, The Tortured Poets Department and its surprise companion album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, are officially here. And if you want to celebrate and relive all the eras that came before, you can now watch Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert film exclusively on Disney Plus. The Disney Plus version of the film includes new performances, including  Cardigan , and says goodbye to a few fan favorites.

The first version of the Eras Tour movie hit theaters late last year, and became the  highest-grossing concert film  ever, as reported by Variety. Then it was available to rent on demand. Now the Disney Plus version of the film promises new performances and says goodbye to some fan favorites.

Are you ready for it ? If not, we've got you covered. Here's everything we know about the new concert film, how to watch Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version), and why a VPN might be a useful tool for streaming.

What's new in the Disney Plus version of the film?

Disney Plus' version of the flick will feature Swift's performance of Cardigan, which was previously cut from the theatrical release of the movie, and four additional acoustic songs. You can check out a preview of the Cardigan performance here , in an exclusive early clip on Apple's App Store. Swift had also released the names of the four new acoustic performances leading up to Thursday's release on ABC's  Good Morning America (also owned by Disney). Now that the film has officially dropped, we know that the four acoustic songs featured in the Disney Plus version of the film are I Can See You, Death By A Thousand Cuts, You Are in Love and Maroon (which is accompanied by another performance of You're On Your Own Kid). It's important to note that these songs are included at the end of the film, after the credits.

Swift  recorded  six acoustic songs during filming in August, and the performances of Our Song and You're on Your Own, Kid made both the theatrical and on-demand rental versions of the film. Now, all six performances have found their way into the concert flick, which is an extra treat for super fans like ourselves.

Songs excluded from the Disney Plus cut of the movie include Long Live, The Archer, Wildest Dreams and No Body, No Crime.

7 the tortured poets department songs that must be added to taylor swift: the eras tour.

Certain songs on Taylor Swift's new double album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, were made to be performed live on The Eras Tour.

  • Taylor Swift accompanied the release of her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, with a surprise second installment containing 15 extra songs.
  • Assuming Taylor Swift incorporates the new album into The Eras Tour set list, some songs from The Tortured Poets Department are better suited to be performed live than others.
  • Songs like "But Daddy I Love Him" and "Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?" would make for thrilling, captivating performances on The Eras Tour.

If Taylor Swift decides to incorporate her new double album, The Tortured Poets Department, into her shows on The Eras Tour , there are certain songs she must add to the set list. Two hours after Swift's highly anticipated eleventh studio album was released at midnight on April 19, 2024, the songstress dropped a surprise second instalment containing 15 brand-new songs. Combined with the 16 original tracks, there are 31 songs on The Tortured Poets Department : The Anthology double album.

Now that she's embarked on this new musical era, The Tortured Poets Department will have to be incorporated into the live show somehow when Swift goes back on The Eras Tour on May 9, 2024. It's unlikely that she will add a whole extra set considering The Eras Tour concert is already three-and-a-half hours long , but she may adjust the existing set list to make room for TTPD. At the very least, Swift is guaranteed to perform some selections from TTPD as surprise songs during her acoustic sets on tour.

If Swift does incorporate The Tortured Poets Department into the permanent set list, though, the Folklore and Midnights sets are the most at risk of receiving cuts since they're tied for the longest eras with seven songs each. As the maximum for any set on The Eras Tour right now, seven is the most songs Swift can reasonably be expected to add from TTPD to the set list. For her selections, these seven songs from The Tortured Poets Department would translate best to a live performance on The Eras Tour.

The Eras Tour Movie Creates 1 Huge Challenge For Taylor Swift's Next Era

7 but daddy i love him, written by taylor swift & aaron dessner.

On "But Daddy I Love Him," Swift seems to be responding to the general public's unsolicited disapproval of her dating certain men using the trope of a stubborn teenager rebelling against her disapproving parents. The song gives off Fearless vibes, particularly the Romeo & Juliet -centered "Love Story" due to their shared forbidden love narrative, and resembles "august" from Folklore in terms of the production, both of which make for great performances on The Eras Tour.

Many fans have speculated that this song might be about Swift's short-lived public relationship with The 1975 frontman, Matty Healey, in the spring of 2023.

Of every song on The Tortured Poets Department, "But Daddy I Love Him" feels the most fit to be performed live . While listening to the theatrical track, it's easy to visualize what a live performance would look and sound like. The lively, melodramatic chorus and post-chorus were made to be sung in a stadium in front of thousands and the end of the bridge conjures images of Swift frolicking around onstage à la "august" if the instrumental was extended.

Since she borrowed the title from Ariel in The Little Mermaid, a version of which Allie quotes in The Notebook, Swift could include an intro of these characters reciting the titular line before performing "But Daddy I Love Him."

This song also presents so many opportunities for Swift to create a memorable concert experience. Since she borrowed the title from Ariel in The Little Mermaid , a version of which Allie quotes in The Notebook , Swift could include an intro of these characters reciting the titular line before performing "But Daddy I Love Him" or even reference them in her costume. Swift teasing the audience with " you should see your faces " after the fake out about " having his baby " is also poised to become an instantly iconic moment if she performed this song on The Eras Tour.

10 Taylor Swift Songs I Really Wish Were In The Eras Tour Movie

6 florida (featuring florence + the machine), written by taylor swift & florence welch.

Of the two tracks with featured artists on The Tortured Poets Department, "Florida!!!" featuring Florence + The Machine blows the album opener "Fortnight" featuring Post Malone out of the water. This ode to the Sunshine State is already an intoxicating song to listen to on the album, and it would be ten times more exhilarating to experience live on The Eras Tour.

Even if she doesn't add it to the set list, Swift is guaranteed to perform "Florida!!!" as a surprise song during the acoustic set at one of her Miami shows, though.

If Swift added "Florida!!!" to the set list, the crowd stomping their feet along with the heavy drums on the chorus before belting out the titular lyric in unison, exclamation points and all, would be an unforgettable moment every night on The Eras Tour. The line " f**k me up, Florida " that repeats on the bridge and serves as the final lyric of the song would also feel liberating to shout out loud in a crowd setting, especially for the attendees at Swift's three stops in Miami, Florida, between October 18 to 20, 2024.

Sadly, Swift is unlikely to add "Florida!!!" to the permanent set list since Florence + The Machine will not be joining her on The Eras Tour. She could still perform the song solo and sing Florence's parts herself, but this is a long shot since there are no songs on the set list that originally have featured artists. Even if she doesn't add it to the set list, Swift is guaranteed to perform "Florida!!!" as a surprise song during the acoustic set at one of her Miami shows, though.

Swift has brought out opening acts like Phoebe Bridgers and HAIM to perform their duets with her ("Nothing New" and "no body, no crime," respectively) during the main show on The Eras Tour, but these were not permanently added to the set list.

Taylor Swift's Next Album Sets Up A New Eras Tour Movie Cameo That Would Make Up For Cutting HAIM

5 who's afraid of little old me, written by taylor swift.

While most of the songs on The Tortured Poets Department most fit for a live performance are more on the upbeat and lighthearted side, "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" is the polar opposite. On this haunting track, Swift ruminates on her experience in the spotlight and the treatment she's received as a public figure, calling out the hypocrisy of those who villainize her.

The whole song would make for a chilling, powerful live performance, but hearing Swift scream the titular lyric on the chorus of "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" would be on another level.

"Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" is delivered with the same exasperated rage underneath a devilish grin as most of the songs from Swift's Reputation era , especially the pre-chorus, " If you wanted me dead, you should've just said/Nothing makes me feel more alive ." The whole song would make for a chilling, powerful live performance, but hearing Swift scream the titular lyric on the chorus of "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" would be on another level.

The song is both sonically and thematically similar to "mad woman" from Folklore, as well. Though Swift does not perform "mad woman" on The Eras Tour, a good basis for comparison for how "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" would feel live is Swift's harrowing performance of "my tears ricochet" from the Folklore set, which the TTPD track also resembles. All of these songs that bear similar themes, subject matter, and overall vibe as " Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" show how the TTPD track would translate perfectly to a live performance.

4 Imgonnagetyouback

Written by taylor swift & jack antonoff.

On "imgonnagetyouback" from the second installment of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, Swift schemes to get her ex back, though she's uncertain of her intentions for doing so. "Imgonnagetyouback" isn't necessarily a stand-out track on the album, but the playful song lends itself well to a live performance that's fun and entertaining for Swift and the audience alike. If executed properly, the lyrics on the bridge, " even if it's handcuffed, I'm leavin' here with you " and " pick your poison, babe, I'm poison either way, " and the lead into the final chorus could all be huge moments during the live performance.

By amping up the production and accompanying the song with some fun choreography, "imgonnagetyouback" has the potential to deliver a performance in line with the 1989 era. In fact, the line on the chorus about smashing up the subject's bike is reminiscent of Swift smashing her boyfriend's fancy car in the "Blank Space" music video, which she referenced via Easter egg on the Eras Tour by wielding a neon golf club during her performance.

9 Taylor Swift Songs That Are Even Better In The Eras Tour Movie Than On The Album

3 so high school.

On the joyous and nostalgic "So High School," Swift gushes about how her adult relationship makes her feel like a lovestruck teenager in the best way. She references teen-centric media like American Pie and Grand Theft Auto and games like "Kiss, Marry, Kill," Spin the Bottle, and Truth or Dare. These details and the premise of the song as a whole provide endless possibilities for different high school-themed costumes, props, set pieces, and even choreography in a live performance of "So High School" on The Eras Tour.

It's also widely speculated that "So High School" is about Swift's relationship with her current boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, mostly because of the lyric, " you know how to ball, I know Aristotle ." She already shouts him out on The Eras Tour by changing the lyric on "Karma" from " guy on the screen " to " guy on the Chiefs, " but it would be a sweet gesture to include a song that's (supposedly) about Kelce on the set list, especially for the shows where he's in attendance.

Is Travis Kelce In Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Movie?

2 thank you aimee.

On "thanK you aIMee," Swift reflects on how she was ruthlessly tormented by the titular Aimee and realizes that the hell Aimee put her through pushed her to prove herself and succeed. The song is seemingly directed at a mean girl who bullied Swift in school but the deliberately capitalized letters in the title suggest that "thanK you aIMee" is actually a subtle jab at Kim Kardashian and their famous feud. Given this additional context, it might be controversial to include this song on The Eras Tour set list.

Hearing Swift call out bullies and sing about finding her strength would be such a significant experience for all the young children attending The Eras Tour who might be going through the same thing.

As a standalone song separate from any (unconfirmed) lore, "thanK you aIMee" is an empowering anthem about perseverance and overcoming bullying. Hearing Swift call out bullies and sing about finding her strength would be such a significant experience for all the young children attending The Eras Tour who might be going through the same thing.

The production on "thanK you aIMee" is quite understated on the album, but the instrumentals can be bulked up to create more of an atmosphere during the live performance. Given the deeply personal subject matter (whether it's about Kardashian or a real childhood bully, or both), performing "thanK you aIMee" onstage every night would probably be a cathartic experience for Swift , especially the lyric, "I built a legacy that you can't undo ."

1 The Bolter

A bit of a deep cut on The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, "The Bolter" tells the tale of a woman who bolts (hence the title) at the first sign of trouble in a relationship. The third-person, unraveling narrative is reminiscent of the detached, fictionalized approach Swift took on Folklore , which has proved fruitful in delivering compelling performances on The Eras Tour.

The vast melodic diversity of "The Bolter" also creates sonic distinctions between the verses, chorus, post-chorus, and bridge, which would naturally translate to an engaging live performance.

Though it comes toward the end of the lengthy double album, "The Bolter" stands out due to Swift's vivid storytelling and the varying pitches she sings in throughout the song. The vast melodic diversity of "The Bolter" also creates sonic distinctions between the verses, chorus, post-chorus, and bridge, which would naturally translate to an engaging live performance. Performing "The Bolter" would also provide Taylor Swift with the opportunity to whip out her acoustic guitar during The Tortured Poets Department set on The Eras Tour.
