Another crash has hit today, this time on the M40 in Oxfordshire near Bicester just hours after a man in his 20s suffered life-threatening injuries on the M1.

The southbound carriageway remains closed between J10 Bicester and J9 Oxford after a lorry overturned, National Highways said.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth line on the London Underground is suspended between Heathrow Terminals T2, T3 and T5 due to a faulty signal. It also affects Heathrow Express trains, with disruption expected until 3pm.

Elizabeth Line and Heathrow Express disruption extended

Cancellations and delays of up to 20 minutes are expected to continue until 8pm after an earlier signalling fault at Heathrow Terminal 5.

National Rail had previously said problems would be resolved by 3pm, but this has been pushed back further.

This is affecting Elizabeth Line services between Shenfield and Heathrow Terminal 5, and between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4.

It is also disrupting Heathrow Express between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5.

Airport-bound passengers are advised to board a Terminal 4 service and change at Terminals 2 & 3 for a service to Terminal 5.

M25 delays near Watford

Eastbound traffic has ground to a halt along the M25 between clockwise junctions J21A and J23.

A broken down vehicle is currently causing 30-minute delays, according to Traffic England.

Traffic cameras have captured queues of lorries, vans and cars backing up with two of three lanes closed.

Footage shows the lorry flipped on its side surrounded by a police road block.

Motorists face up to 50-minute delays southbound after all lanes heading south remain closed between junctions J9 and J10.

The northbound carriageway is also shut within J10, National Highways said.

Diversions have been put in place and officers are releasing vehicles trapped within the cordon.

Issues on Elizabeth line and Heathrow Express

Elizabeth line between Heathrow Terminals continues to have trouble after a fault with the signalling system.

Some train lines between Heathrow Terminals T2, T3 and T5 are blocked.

Heathrow Express is running a reduced service as a result.

Passengers should allow 20 minutes extra to their journeys.

Sadly the disruption is not expected to clear anytime soon – National Rail warned of issues until 3pm.

Due to an incident outside our control, we would like to inform our passengers that Heathrow Express services are currently running at a reduced frequency. Please allow for extra travel time. M1 beginning to reopen but long delays expected

Lorries and other heavy goods vehicles are now being allowed to pass through the road closure enforced following a severe crash on the M1.

A man in his twenties is fighting for his life in hospital following a collision between a lorry and a car between junctions 12 and 13 in Bedfordshire this morning.

Other vehicles are still being held up and there is no timeframe for the lifting of the roadblock.

National Highways said: ‘Due to the nature of the incident, it’s likely to be protracted with no estimated times for re-opening.’

Delays on trains between Woking and Brookwood

The rest of the line has good service, the latest TfL update shows.

Disruption on Great Western Railway

Trains between London Paddington, West Ealing and Greenford were hit by disruption this morning.

Service is resuming to normal after a fault on a train between West Ealing and Greenford earlier today.

Services could still be cancelled, delayed by up to 10 minutes or revised, with disruption expected at least until 7.30am.

Delays on the Northern line

Tube passengers can have a sigh of relief as most of the TfL network has been spared any major issues.

Northern line was hit by severe delays between Camden Town and High Barnet due to an obstruction on the track.

It has since been downgraded to minor delays, the latest TfL travel update shows.

m1 travel disruption

The M1 motorway is a major motorway in the United Kingdom that connects London to Leeds and is approximately 226 miles long. It was the first inter-city motorway to be built in the UK and was opened in1959.

Since its opening, the M1 motorway has seen over 8 billion vehicles passing through it and has become an important route for commercial vehicles and freight.

Safety on the M1 motorway has improved significantly over the years. In 2006, the M1 motorway had the lowest total number of casualties among all the motorways in the UK. In 2019, the number of fatalities on the M1 motorway was a third of what it had been in 2006. This suggests that the M1 motorway is becoming increasingly safe for motorists. The number of recorded accidents has also fallen. In 2019, there were 535 accidents involving injury, a reduction of almost 4% compared to the previous year.

Essential repairs - late August and September 2024

We're continuing our essential repairs to keep the M1 safe and serviceable.

We'll soon be finishing our work on M1 southbound between junctions 11a and 9.

We'll then move to the M1 southbound between junction 13 (Milton Keynes South) and junction 11a (Charlton Interchange, Houghton Regis).

At the same time, we’ll perform maintenance work to minimise disruption to the public.

Overnight closures (10pm - 5am)

To do our work, we’ll need to close the motorway overnight at the following locations:

M1 junction 11a to 9 Southbound carriageway

27 August for 4 nights.

M1 junction 13 to 11a Southbound carriageway

9 September for 6 nights.

We've timed closures for when traffic levels are lowest.

Each closure will have fully signed diversion routes in place.

Road closures, August 2024

We're continuing our work to upgrade the M1 between junctions 10 to 13 in Bedfordshire.

We’ll continue removing the temporary metal barrier between junctions 11 and 11a, which will be replaced by traffic cones, so that we can start resurfacing lane 3.

During these road closures, we’ll also be doing verge work before reopening junction 10 to 11a in September.

To do this work safely, we’ll need to close the carriageway between 10pm and 5am when traffic levels are at their lowest. Each closure will have fully signed diversion routes in place.

Road closure dates

Closures can only be in place once traffic flows are at their lowest.

Roadworks affect all journeys, which is why it is important they are completed as quickly and safely as possible. We’re keeping all aspects of our overnight closures under constant review during this period and will aim where possible to open the lanes earlier than the times displayed.

The precise dates and times of the works may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, we’ll keep you updated of significant changes.

We kindly ask that drivers follow the signed diversion routes displayed on the local roads on the day of the closures. The diversion routes are chosen as they can deal with all motorway traffic in the event of planned roadworks, or any unplanned incidents that may occur, which result in a closure of the motorway.

Updated road closures, July 2024

We're carrying out essential maintenance on the M1 between junction 10 (Luton South) and junction 13 (Milton Keynes South).

Our work will involve repairs to the road surface, drainage, and vegetation clearance. We’ll also be using these closures to repair CCTV and variable message signs, which are used to assist with the management of traffic on the motorway. This is to ensure the M1 remains in a safe serviceable condition.

(Please note that we will no longer be closing the M1 between junction 9 to 11a on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 August.)

The closures can only be in place once traffic flows are at their lowest.

Upcoming road closures, July 2024

For safety reasons, we have some planned overnight road closures from 10pm to 5am on the following dates:

Upcoming road closures, June 2024

  • Wednesday 19 June for 1 night, full overnight closure of M1 junction 9 to 11a Northbound
  • Thursday 20 June for 1 night, full overnight closure of M1 junction 11a to 14 Northbound
  • Friday 21 June for 1 night, full overnight closure of M1 junction 14 to 11a Southbound
  • Saturday 22 June for 1 night, full overnight closure of M1 junction 11a to 10 Southbound

Upcoming road closures, 28 May to 8 June 2024

On Thursday 30 May, we’ll be closing the motorway later than planned at 11:59pm to 5am, to allow traffic to clear from Take That concert at Milton Keynes stadium.

The closures can only be installed once traffic flows are at their lowest.

Road closures in May 2024

We need to carry out essential maintenance on the M1 between junction 10 (Luton South) and junction 13 (Milton Keynes South).

This includes repairs to CCTV and variable message signs that are used to assist with the management of traffic on the motorway. Our control centre operators monitor the motorway for incidents, allowing us to manage these events and maintain the network.

We're also repairing the road surface on the southbound carriageway, to ensure the M1 remains in a safe and serviceable condition.

To do this work safely, we’ll need to close the between 10pm and 5am when traffic levels are at their lowest. Each closure will have fully signed diversion routes in place.

Please note these are provisional dates which may be subject to change due to conditions outside of our control, such as adverse weather or road incidents.

Drivers are asked to follow the signed diversion routes during these road closures.

Please do not use satellite navigation (sat nav) when following the diversion, as they may give conflicting information. Please be considerate of residents living along the diversion routes when using these roads when the M1 is closed.

Diversion timings are approximate and are a guide only: please check Traffic England (www.trafficengland.co.uk) for current traffic conditions.

Road closures, April 2024

We're carrying out essential maintenance on the M1 between junction 10 (Luton South/airport) and junction 13 (Milton Keynes South).

Our work will involve repairing the carriageway to ensure the M1 remains in a safe and serviceable condition. During these closures, we’ll also be carrying out repairs to CCTV and variable message signs, which are used to assist with the management of traffic on the motorway.

To carry out this work safely, we’ll need to close the road between 10pm and 5am when traffic levels are at their lowest. Each closure will have fully signed diversion routes in place. The road will be closed on the following dates:

Abnormal load needing M1 and M25 closures, 6 to 7 April 2024

There will be a slow-moving, abnormal load on our roads in Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire this weekend, taking place overnight on Saturday 6 April into the morning of Sunday 7 April.

This is the final part of three large pieces of equipment that are being taken from the Port of Tilbury in Essex to Millbrook Power Station in Bedfordshire.

These are essential pieces of equipment for the power station that, when completed, will have the capacity to generate power to provide enough instant electricity to power 150,000 households.

The load will be safely escorted by police on its 79-mile journey, who will need to temporarily hold traffic to allow the convoy to safely progress. This has been chosen as the safest route for the convoy to take and will move very slowly while it is on the road.

The convoy is expected to leave the Port of Tilbury at around 4pm on Saturday 6 April and follow an approximately 18-hour route using the M25 and M1 to arrive at Millbrook between 10am and 12 noon on Sunday 7 April.

Due to the complexity of transporting such a load, we’re expecting this to impact on journeys, so please plan ahead if travelling on the M25 or M1 during this period.

To move the equipment, the following road closures will be in place:

  • The M25 between Junction 21a and Junction 19 will be closed in both directions between 10pm and 6am. A diversion will be in place. • The exit slip road from the M1 onto the M25 at Junction 6a will be closed in both directions between 10pm and 6am. A diversion will be in place. • The entry slip road from the A12 onto the M25 anti-clockwise at Junction 28 will be closed between 8pm and 5am • There will be a temporary holding delay of around 30 minutes at the Gallows Corner roundabout on the A12, and this is likely to be around 10pm

A rough estimate of timings as it moves along the route starting on Saturday 6 April are below. Please note, these are subject to change depending on progress.

Thank you to everyone in advance for your patience while we support moving this essential equipment.

Progress and upcoming road closures, March 2024

Progress to date

Work is progressing well and we’ve removed 8.5 miles (13.6km) of the existing old steel central reservation barrier between junctions 10 and 13, with 2 miles (3.2 km) of existing steel barrier left to remove.

We’ve completed 70% of our excavation work and started work to fill any ditches in the existing concrete hardstanding areas between junction 10 to 11. These need to be filled with concrete to prepare the area on which the new barriers are to be built. As well as removing old street lighting bases between junctions 10 to 12.

Preparation work to fill any ditches on the existing concrete hard standing has started between junction 11 and 11a. This involves removing drainage covers, cleaning and removing ironwork in the central reservation where necessary.

Before we can begin drainage work between junction 11a and 13, we need to carry out investigation and prepare the area. This involves digging trial holes to check where services are, setting out for drainage, clearing and opening existing drainage chambers.

We’ll start removing the old steel barrier foundations between junctions 11a and 12 later this week.

Whilst investigation and preparation work is being done between junction 11 to 12, you may not see an active workforce in these locations.

We kindly ask everyone to be extra cautious when travelling through our roadworks and thank you for your continued patience.

We are also repairing CCTV and variable message signs, which are used to assist with the management of traffic on the motorway.

Our control centre operators monitor the motorway for incidents, allowing us to deal with these events and manage the M1 road.

To do this repair work safely, we’ll need to close the motorway overnight between 10pm and 5am on the following dates:

As part of our effort to cut carbon emissions from road lighting, we’re also upgrading street lighting to LED lights which are more efficient and greener.

We'll be changing to LED lights at M1 junction 9 (Watery Lane) from Friday 22 March to Friday 29 March 2024.

LED lights are better for the environment because:

  • they use far less energy to produce the same amount of light as conventional lamps
  • they last longer and require less maintenance, meaning fewer road closures for repairs.

Diversion route for junction 9 closure

We kindly ask that drivers follow the signed diversion routes. The diversion routes are chosen as they can deal with all motorway traffic in the event of planned roadworks, or any unplanned incidents that may occur, which result in a closure of the motorway.

Upcoming road closure dates, February and March 2024

Temporary changes to the road layout on M1 between junction 10 to 13 are needed for our workers to do their job safely alongside the moving traffic.

We’ve completed our work to create temporary narrow lanes along the M1 between junction 10 and junction 13, as well as temporary road signage.

Traffic can now use the hard shoulder, lane 1 and lane 2.

We’ve already removed 5.6 miles (9km) of the existing old steel central reservation barrier between junctions 10 and 12 and started removing its foundations which are made of concrete and will need to be broken and taken out.

Once this is out, we’ll then construct a new foundation for the concrete barrier. This involves removing the topsoil and then further digging to remove and replace the existing drainage.

Road closures

Unfortunately, recent bad weather means that we’ve not been able to fully install the temporary metal central reservation barrier needed between junctions 12 and 13. The temporary metal barrier still needs to be pinned to the road to make the area safe for road users and our workers whilst they carry out their work.

To do this work safely, we’ll need to close some lanes of the M1 on the following dates:

Diversion routes

When the road is closed, please follow the official signed diversion routes. Please do not use satellite navigation (sat nav) when following the diversion, as they may give conflicting information.

Please be considerate of residents living along the diversion routes when using these roads when the M1 is closed. Diversion timings are approximate and are a guide only: please check Traffic England for current traffic conditions.

Road closures in January

Our important upgrade work on the M1 will start once the narrow lanes and traffic management barriers have been fully installed.

We’ll begin by changing some of the existing road layouts. This involves removing and reconfiguring road markings and installing temporary metal barriers in the central reservation to protect our workers.

This work will be done overnight when traffic levels are at their lowest. The overnight closures will usually start from 10pm and finish by 5am but this can change slightly depending on the volume of traffic and when we can close the road safely. Each closure will have fully signed diversion routes in place.

We'll need to have planned road closures on the following dates:

Please note these are provisional dates which may be subject to change due to conditions outside of our control, such as adverse weather or road incidents. Please check this page for updates.

Diversion route

Work starts on 10 January 2024

We’ll begin by changing some of the existing road layouts. This involves removing and reconfiguring road markings.

To minimise disruption, we'll be keeping three lanes open with a 50mph average speed restriction in place during our work. The hard shoulder and lane 1 will remain at the current lane widths, with lane 2 being narrowed down.

Lane 3 will be closed while work is being carried out for the safety of road users and road workers. We do this to make the area safe for our team to work in.

We’ll also install temporary metal barriers in the central reservation to protect our workers.

Slip road diversion routes

The diversion routes for the slip road closures are as follows:

Northbound entry slip road closure: Traffic to use the southbound entry slip road, travel to junction 12 and return northbound

Northbound exit slip road closure: Traffic to continue to junction 14 and return southbound to junction 13

Southbound entry slip road closure: Traffic to use northbound entry slip road to travel to junction 14 and return southbound

Southbound exit slip closure: Traffic to continue to junction 12 and return northbound to junction 13.

Project information

Safety is our top priority. Upgrading these barriers will improve journeys and significantly reduce the risk of vehicles crossing over from one carriageway to another, improving safety and reducing the duration of incident-related congestion. We are continuing to deliver safety enhancements to the M1 motorway, which is amongst the busiest in the country and relied on by hundreds of thousands of people every day.

National Highways is delivering a series of safety enhancements to sections of dynamic hard shoulder motorways across the country. Dynamic hard shoulder sections allow traffic to use the hard shoulder under mandatory variable speed limits to ease congestion when traffic levels are heavy. The work is part of our commitment to invest in the safety of smart motorways and improve people’s confidence in them.

Concrete barriers are even stronger than metal ones and significantly reduce the risk of vehicles crossing over from one carriageway to another, improving safety and reducing the duration of incident-related congestion. They are also virtually maintenance free and will last twice as long as normal metal barriers, with far less need for closures for routine repairs .

As well as  the barrier upgrade, CCTV along the motorway will be upgraded and improved signage will be installed on this stretch.

Our work approach

We’ve carried out as much advance work as possible using overnight lane closures.

But now that main construction on the barrier upgrade has started, we need to have roadworks in place. We’ve designed the roadworks to try to keep disruption to an absolute minimum for all our customers and complete the work as quickly as possible.

We’re in regular contact with the emergency services to ensure that our work does not impact their response times, including providing access through our roadwork areas if that should ever be needed.

We’ll reopen sections of road as soon as the barrier in each location is complete and we expect to do this in three phases from south to north. We expect to open the first of these sections in summer 2024 and to have completed the full road upgrade by the end of spring 2025.

We’ll do all we can to keep disruption to a minimum, but we anticipate delays during peak times, so encourage drivers to plan their journeys.

We know that our construction work will create some congestion and longer journey times, so we want to help you decide your travel plans by giving you information to help you consider alternative ways of reaching your destination.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience our construction work will cause, and we’ll continue to liaise with local business and public transport providers whilst we’re working.

We know that it’s a lot to ask, but we’d like to encourage you to think about how best to make your journey, and whether there's an alternative whilst we work on this road.

Car sharing If you need to travel for work, could you car share with a colleague, a family member or a friend who is travelling in the same direction? Car sharing means less traffic on the roads and reduced congestion, which means quicker commutes. It’ll also help to save you money and reduce pollution.

Re-timing your journey If you can’t work from home, another option could be choosing to make your journey at a different time. Whether you’re travelling by car or public transport, re-timing your journey to avoid morning and afternoon peak travel times can help reduce congestion, and travelling when the road is less busy will help reduce the amount of time you spend commuting.

LIVE: La Porte pipeline fire near Spencer Highway causes road closures, evacuations

LA PORTE, Texas - A pipeline fire near Spencer Highway and Summerton has caused major disruptions in La Porte . The incident, affecting a 20-inch natural gas liquids pipeline, was reported this morning.

Energy Transfer, the pipeline operator, has confirmed there are no injuries. The operator says the pipeline has been isolated to allow the chemical Y Grade NGL (liquid natural gas) to safely burn off. A timeline for this process is not yet available.

Preliminary reports suggest that an unknown passenger car may have entered the right-of-way and struck the valve location, potentially causing the fire. Air monitoring equipment is being set up to further assess the situation.

The Fire Department is advising residents to evacuate the area between Luella and Canada. Emergency crews are actively working to control the fire. Harris County Hazmat and other HCFMO resources are also responding to the scene.

Unified Command is in place, with Deer Park managing the west side and La Porte handling the east. A mobile command post is located at East Blvd. and Spencer Hwy., and HC Pollution Control is on site. Currently, a strike team is responding, and CenterPoint is evaluating infrastructure damage.

2:47 p.m. update

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo just posted a statement regarding the pipeline fire saying, "This morning, a major fire erupted at Energy Transfer liquid natural gas pipeline off of Spencer Highway in Deer Park. At this time, the fire is still burning and the heat is tremendous. First responders are working to keep the fire contained. Four to six nearby homes have structural damage.

The valves to the affected pipeline have been closed, but there are 20 miles of pipeline between the two valves that have to burn off before the fire stops. In the meantime, the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office, Harris County Pollution Control, the American Red Cross, and local first responders on scene.

The Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management is activeto level 3: Increased Readiness.

CenterPoint is working to restore power to homes and businesses who are currently without power. Harris County Pollution Control is conducting air monitoring and will publish the results on ReadyHarris.org.

Harris County is doing everything we can to help keep residents safe and support first responders during this incident. I am on my way back to Harris County from a pre-planned trip to visit to a sick friend. Thank you to the first responders who are helping to respond to this incident. We will provide more information to the community when we have it."

2:33 p.m. update

The La Porte Office of Emergency Management just posted a message on Facebook saying, "A fire along a pipeline in Deer Park began at 9:55 a.m. this morning and is having impacts in the city of La Porte. The cause is undetermined and is under investigation; the pipeline is owned by Energy Transfer, which has confirmed that the chemical burning is a Y-grade liquid natural gas.

First responders are providing an initial estimate of a further several hours to extinguish the fire. Evacuation will continue until the area is deemed safe to return, but the evacuation area has been reduced to roughly 941 impacted addresses. At this time, the evacuation area is from Luella Drive east to Canada Road and from Spencer Highway south to Oakhaven/Eagle Run.

The City has been working with officials of the La Porte ISD and additional community partners to coordinate school pick up, traffic, and servicing. For the remainder of the day, Pasadena Boulevard and Fairmont Parkway should be used instead of Spencer Highway. Follow direction of law enforcement and do not attempt to drive around barricades.

Energy Transfer is establishing a process for claims and to provide assistance to those impacted. That information will be provided as available.

Reunification sites have been established at the City of La Porte’s SPORT Center at 1302 S. Broadway and at the City of Deer Park’s Jimmy Burke Activity Center on Thirteenth Street. Additionally, the Faithbridge Church located at 4711 Center Street in Deer Park is serving as a shelter. Evacuees with animals should contact the City of La Porte's Animal Shelter at 10901 Spencer Highway or 281-842-3700 .

A member of the Pasadena Fire Department sustained an injury this morning on an issue adjacent to the main issue. CenterPoint Energy is aware of power outages in the area.

Further information will be provided as available. Media may make inquiry to the City of Deer Park at (832) 835-7209 . Follow official sources on social media as traffic routes may change throughout the event.

2:18 p.m. update

La Porte ISD has issued a statement regarding getting some children home due to the pipeline fire.

"While our schools are continuing to operate normally, students from several of our campuses live in the area affected by the evacuation. Therefore, we are unable to transport those children home by bus. The district is in the process of contacting parents who will need to arrange for pickup of their students (at their home campus). We appreciate your patience and understanding."

Also during a news conference on Monday afternoon, officials said they've cut off the source, but they have to let it burn off. It will be several hours and probably into the night.

La Porte pipeline fire: Mayor, police give update

Deer Park mayor Jerry Mouton Jr. and police representatives give an update on the efforts to battle the flames and how much longer they expect the fire to burn.

One firefighter had to be treated for injuries.

Weather surrounding La Porte pipeline fire

Here's a look at conditions within La Porte with meteorologist John Dawson as emergency responders work to create a manageable situation for those on the ground.

Power Outages

There have also been reports of power outages, excluding a McDonald's employee, who says the power went out as she was working.

CenterPoint released a statement about how they plan to respond:

CenterPoint Energy is monitoring the incident on Spencer Highway in LaPorte, which is unrelated to the company’s natural gas operations or equipment. We are also cooperating with first responders. Putting safety first, the public should avoid this area until further notice from local emergency officials. When it is safe to do so, our electric crews will go into the area to assess the damage to our transmission and distribution power lines, poles and equipment and begin restoring service to impacted customers as safely and quickly as possible.

KeNHA gives re-direction as it announces 32-day traffic disruption on Mombasa Road

During the construction period, traffic police and marshals will be deployed to the site to assist drivers in navigating the affected section of the road.

An AI-generated image of a road sign indicating that the road is closed

Motorists using Mombasa Road will face a month-long traffic disruption, according to an announcement made by the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA).

Recommended articles

In a notice issued on Friday, September 13, 2024, KeNHA revealed that a section of the Nairobi-bound lanes near Syokimau Railway Station will be affected by roadworks starting Friday, September 20, 2024, and will continue until Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Road realignment and footbridge construction

KeNHA has indicated that the disruption is necessary to facilitate the construction of a mid-span footbridge foundation and the realignment of Mombasa Road in the specified area.

According to the notice, the foundation will be erected at the median between the Nairobi-bound lanes and the Nairobi Expressway fence.

“This is to allow for the realignment of the road and construction of a mid-span footbridge foundation at the median between the Nairobi-bound lanes and the adjacent Nairobi Expressway fence,” KeNHA stated in the notice.

This construction project is expected to significantly affect the flow of traffic along the busy Mombasa Road corridor, one of the major routes into Nairobi.

Traffic management plan

KeNHA has advised motorists to familiarise themselves with the traffic management plan provided to minimise the expected delays.

“KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan below and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site,” the authority urged.

Motorists travelling into the city are advised to anticipate delays and consider alternative routes where possible to avoid congestion.

Appeal for cooperation

In its notice, KeNHA has also appealed to drivers to exercise patience and cooperate with traffic authorities during the 32-day roadworks to ensure minimal disruption.

The authority emphasised that the presence of traffic police and marshals is intended to ease congestion and facilitate smooth traffic flow, but compliance from road users is crucial to avoid unnecessary traffic build-up.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Mombasa Road (A8) near Syokimau Railway Station will experience traffic disruption along the Nairobi-bound lanes from Friday, September 20, 2024, to Tuesday, October 22, 2024,” the notice read.
