Below rates are per day charges for a private 9 passenger van & tour specialist. a korea travel specialist is 1 person who doubles as both your driver & licensed guide. the itinerary is customized to your liking. we can also make itinerary suggestions..

• We provide you with a private van and a Korea tour(Korea travel) specialist. A tour specialist is a licensed guide that will double as both your driver and guide.
• Each touring day is 9 hours long. The default start and end times are 9:30am to 6:30pm. We can adjust the start and end times as long as it is within 9 hours.
• Our Korea tour specialists are local experts. A part of their job is to make recommendations for meals. There are no preset destinations for meals. Your Korea travel specialist will consult with you and arrange proper places based on your tastes, preferences, and budget.
• Your itinerary is something we would work on together and is an ongoing process. If you have no idea what you may want, we can always just make suggestions.
• The itinerary is not set in stone. You can discuss with your guide and make adjustments on the fly within reason.
• By default, we will be using a 9 passenger van for groups of 1-9. Sometimes a sedan will be used for a group of 1-2 if a van is not available.
• Please note that a group of 8-9 will fit into a 9 passenger van, but it will be tight.
• If traveling with luggage, we will only be able to fit 6-7 passengers and 6-7 pieces of luggage. For groups of 8-9 passengers with luggage, a van will not work. You will have to upgrade to a minibus.
• Above rates apply for travel within Seoul , Jeju , and Busan . We have Korea tour specialists based in these cities. Travel Korea to any other region will be from either Seoul or Busan, depending on where you are staying. There will be extra charges for the extra mileage, gas, toll fees, and lodging for our Korea travel(Korea tour) specialist. These amount of charges will depend on your itinerary.
• English or Mandarin speaking tour specialist (driver/licensed guide) and private 9 passenger van for 9 hours.
• Pick up and drop off from your hotel in Seoul. Extra charges apply if starting/ending at airports or ports.
• All travel expenses (gas, toll fees, parking etc.) for travel within Seoul, Jeju, or Busan. Extra charges apply when traveling to other provinces. Please inquire for further info.

Terms & Conditions

• A 20% deposit is required for booking. Deposits are fully refundable if tour is cancelled with 15 or more days notice. If given less than 15 days notice, the deposit is forfeited.
• The 20% deposit is paid with a credit card via PayPal or with your PayPal balance if you have an account. You do not have to have or setup a PayPal account if you want to pay with a credit card via PayPal.
• There are no rain checks on the day of the tour due to weather unless the weather conditions make it too dangerous to proceed.
• Due to our tight schedule, we may not be able to accommodate last minute tour date changes. We will try our best. In the event we cannot accommodate a requested change and you wish to cancel instead, our standard cancellation policy of no refund if given less than 15 days notice will apply.
• If booking non-consecutive days, we may not be able to provide the same tour specialist for the whole duration of your tour.

Customized Private Korea Tour(Korea Travel) Rates (Per Day)

Below rates are per day charges for a private 15 passenger minibus, bus driver & tour specialist. (licensed guide), the itinerary is customized to your liking. we can also make itinerary suggestions..

• We provide you with a private minibus, a separate driver, and licensed guide. Unlike the van option, there will be a separate driver in addition to a guide.
• Please note that a minibus can fit a maximum of 15 passengers.
• If traveling with luggage, we will only be able to fit up to 10 passengers and about 10 pieces of luggage. Minibuses do not have a separate luggage undercarriage and we would be using existing seating inside the bus for luggage. That is why we can only fit up to 10 passengers.
• Sometimes a larger bus will be assigned even though you only booked a minibus. This is because the bus company may not have any minibuses available that day. You will not be charged extra.
• Please note that we rent our buses and drivers from a separate company. During peak seasons, last minute cancellation of bus and guide with less than 7 days notice might result in a penalty larger than the 10% deposit for that day. This is because we may be subject to paying for the bus and guide ourselves for the full day, regardless of cancellation.
• Above rates apply for travel within Seoul , Jeju , and Busan . We have tour specialists and buses available in these cities. Travel to any other region will be from either Seoul or Busan, depending on where you are staying. There will be extra charges for the extra mileage, gas, toll fees, and lodging for our tour specialist and the bus driver. These amount of charges will depend on your itinerary.

• Our Korea travel specialists are local experts. A part of their job is to make recommendations for meals. There are no preset destinations for meals. Your Korea tour specialist will consult with you and arrange proper places based on your tastes, preferences, and budget.
• Please note that a 31 passenger coach bus can fit a maximum of 30 passengers plus our guide and driver.
• If traveling with luggage, we will only be able to fit 30 passengers and about 30 pieces of luggage. Unlike the minibus, the coach bus does have a separate undercarriage for luggage.
• Sometimes a larger bus will be assigned even though you only booked a 30 passenger coach bus. This is because the bus company may not have any other buses available that day. You will not be charged extra.
• Above rates apply for travel within Seoul , Jeju , and Busan . We have Korea tour specialists and buses available in these cities. Travel to any other region will be from either Seoul or Busan, depending on where you are staying. How to use the map :

• Hover your mouse over any of the black shapes on the map. You’ll see the name of the place.
• When you click on a marker, a pop-up window will show you photos with caption from that location.
• If a place has more than one image, you’ll see arrows to the left and right which you can click on to browse through the pictures.
• Click on the gray flag on top – next to the name – this ‘marks’ the place as interesting. You can ‘unmark’ by clicking the flag again.
• Once you’re done, close the gallery frame by clicking the X on the top-right corner (or anywhere else outside the box).
• Keep searching the map for what looks interesting! 
• When you’re done looking through all the sites, you’ll see that the places you marked will have turned red on the map.

Using Naver to Create Itineraries

I don’t speak Korean and I use Naver Maps in English to plan all of my Korean travel. The following video will tell you more about Naver Maps. It’s a great introduction that will help you get started quickly. After you finish the video, the rest of my blog will walk you through how I plan my trips.

Why do I love Naver links?

Creating unique travel itineraries in South Korea means learning how to use tools such as Naver Maps. To begin you will need to download Naver Maps which you can find in Google Play or in the Apple App Store.

You may be accustomed to Waze in the States but in South Korea, Naver and Kakao maps should become your new best friends. You can learn more about navigation apps in South Korea by reading the South of Seoul blog “Nav Apps: Options, Strengths, and Failures” .

Using Naver Maps to Create Itineraries

The following step-by-step process walks you through how I create my many travel plans for my family. These plans also work as my outline for my blogs later. Learning how to create a custom travel itinerary in Korea makes life smoother. Let’s go.

Save Locations Into Naver Folders

Many Korean travelers and bloggers share Naver links on their Facebook posts. You may easily organize them into categories and color-code them for future reference. The following photo shows the folders I use for keeping track of what I am interested in. Everyone has a different system that works for them and Naver Maps allows you to make your own folder names.

You can also see how each category populates on the map using the same color and icon I chose for my folder. It makes it easy to conceptualize what each pin means.

PRO TIP; You may also find a location on Naver by adding a business phone number into the search bar . You will notice in the following image that I have typed in the business phone number and the location of the business populated with the name of the business. It’s an elegant solution if you find typing in Hangul (the Korean alphabet) difficult.

Pro Tip : You may also use your translation app, like Papago or Google Translate, to search for something on Naver, including searches in a specific location. Here’s an example of a search for cafes 카페 in Daejeon. The following video will make the search come alive.

What if you can’t read Hangul?

If you need assistance with understanding Korean or Hangul you have a few options:

• Google Translate App (Translates screenshots)
• Papago App (Translates screenshots)
• Chrome with the Google translate extension
• Contact 1330 with the place you are interested in and ask them clarifying question s.

Get to know the above tools and you will be unstoppable.

Using Papago to translate screenshots

If you have never used a translation app to translate photos I will walk you through how it works. First, take a screenshot of the image you need to translate.

Second, click on “image”. You can see it as the option second from the bottom in the following photo. It has the image of a camera on it.

Third, select this icon which I pointed at with the green arrow, which should bring you to your photo gallery from which you may select to the image you want to translate.

Finally, Papago will scan the image and create a translated image. You can see that the translation works pretty well. In fact, Papago often translates far better than Google since Papago is developed by Naver (a Korean company).

After inputting your locations, the rest should be fairly easy. Here’s a 5-minute video example. The following video will help all the previous steps make more sense.

📌 About the Themes

Tour Mate offers nine different themes for enjoying Korea.

You can select 1 to 3 themes, and based on your choices, your mate will plan and organize the program.

📌 How long does a tour last?

The duration of each Tour Mate experience varies by package, ranging from a minimum of 1 hour and 30 minutes to a maximum of 5 hours.

📌 How many people will be joining in on a tour?

The group size for each package varies, accommodating anywhere from 1 to 8 people.

If desired, the experience can be arranged exclusively for your own group.

📌 Where will the tours take place?

Most Tour Mate experiences take place within Seoul.

The initial meeting location with your mate is selected by them, typically opting for easily accessible places like subway station entrances or in front of franchise stores.

The offerings and prices of our packages differ based on their structure and time duration.

Be sure to check whether expenses like food and transportation are covered in your package.

The price range spans from 50,000 KRW at the minimum to 150,000 KRW at the maximum.

Refund Policy

Please ensure to check the included and excluded items for each spot, as they vary.

The minimum and maximum number of participants also differs for each package, so please verify this as well.

You can book up to 5 days prior to the tour date.

Free cancellation is available up until 5 days before the scheduled tour.

Needless to say, it has also become a big motivation to ensure he retains his top-30 status each year to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs finale. The TOUR Championship played at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, is just a 30-minute drive from Im’s home.

The 26-year-old Korean star will make his sixth successive appearance in the TOUR Championship this week to extend a proud streak beginning in his rookie season in 2019.

“I’m glad I can be a part of the TOUR Championship for six consecutive years," said Im on Tuesday. "I always have this goal to make it to the TOUR Championship every year whenever I start a new season."

But Im's familiar with insurmountable leads. In 2022, he started six back of Scheffler at East Lake and eventually finished tied for second and one stroke behind FedExCup champion, Rory McIlroy. Scheffler tied for second with Im that year after starting with the lead.

“With my experience, I think if I’m in good shape with my game and my shots are working well," said Im. "I think I can overcome this gap. I need to be patient and calm to manage my game and take it one day at a time. I think every player in the field has a chance to win. You’ll need good focus every single day to chase the leader.”

After a strong start to his 2024 season with a T5 outing at The Sentry in January, Im’s form uncharacteristically went cold as he failed to notch another high finish and missed four cuts through April. He feared it was the start of a slump before a T4 finish at Quail Hollow in May put him back on track. He enjoyed five more top-10s, including a T7 at The Open Championship.

“I had a hard time for about three months," he explained. "After Sentry, I thought I will enjoy a good season but my game wasn’t great from there on through the Masters. I had trouble controlling my mental game, put in some bad swings and had some technical issues.

“I was feeling different compared to the last few years and thought maybe I’m stuck in a slump. I made some changes, worked hard at my golf swing, changed my putting technique and it all then fell into place. I got my confidence back and stayed patient. I trusted myself and worked hard. I believe it was the turning point in my season.”

His runner-up result in 2022 remains the best result by an Asian golfer in the race to win the TOUR’s ultimate prize since the inaugural 2007 FedExCup.

“Of course, I wish to finish strong (win) in this event," Im said. "That is my goal. I am very thankful to be part of this event. I’m very proud of myself. I’ve qualified for this event for six straight years, and it is very hard to play in this every year. I certainly know this, so I’m happy I will also have a chance to compete for the FedExCup.”
