Sunset Dolphin Tours:

Cancellation Policy: 

We ask for 24 hours notice if you want to change or cancel your reservation. For very large groups, our cancelation policy will be detailed in your confirmation email. We do not issue refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of your departure time, so please don’t make it awkward by asking. We do care about your reasons for not being able to make the tour, but we also want to be fair to our other passengers and our employees. Since we do not take a boat to its true capacity, we tend to sell out of some of the tours. Passengers and groups who are wanting to go are not able to go. If you miss the boat or are unable to go on a tour, you are allowed to go on standby status on an upcoming tour. If we have unsold seats on a tour at departure time, you are welcome to have them at no charge. You can call ahead to see if there is a likelihood of seats being available, but you are not guaranteed seating until advised of availability at departure time. In other words, if you have missed the boat, just show up at another departure time. If we have room, you can go at no charge. We just need your booking number or the name on your original reservation.

Travel via Gray Line trolley/bus from the Historic District of Savannah to Tybee Island for lunch on your own at the Crab Shack, where the Elite Eat in their bare-feet. Board the boat for a Dolphin Cruise through Tybee Island’s-waterways. After the Dolphin Cruise we will pass by the Tybee Island Lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean for a photo opportunity and let you explore a bit on your own before returning to Savannah. The order of this tour may be different depending on day and time reserved

What to expect:

You'll meet Captain Solomon at The Crab Shack restaurant on Tybee Island. There will be a quick safety brief before setting sail from the dock. You'll wind through the marshlands, creeks and rivers in search of the local resident dolphins.

The dolphins in the area are used to people coming out to pay them a visit so they usually stay in the area long enough to watch them dive, splash and play. Depending on the time of year, you may even see a few babies swimming with the pod.

The Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin is the most common dolphin around the area. Did you know that when they sleep, they shut down one half of their brain so they can stay alive?! One side does the breathing while the other half makes sure everything is still working. Fascinating!

You are welcome to bring dinner and beverages with you on the trip. Don't forget your camera! You'll catch one of the most beautiful sunsets you've ever seen.

Sun Screen 15 SPF (or greater)

Sun Glasses – Polarized recommended

Hat - that covers your neck and ears

Deck shoes, tennis shoes or sandals / no hard shoes

Whatever you would like to eat or drink

Camera / Binoculars

12 and under must wear a life jacket. If you cannot swim, we recommend wearing a life jacket.

If the weather turns bad and the trip is cancelled, you'll be offered a full refund or a chance to reschedule.

You can reschedule up to 48 hours before the departure time.

You will likely see dolphins. Very rarely do we go out and not see any.
