Is it allowed to enter The Pyramids in Egypt?

Tourists are allowed to enter all three of the great pyramids, for a fee, of course. That is, you can go into the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure as long as you pay for a ticket. That’s the good news.

The bad news starts with the mundane issues of how hard it can be to get inside. You must first pay for a ticket (around $20) for general admission to the grounds, then for an additional ticket for each pyramid, between about $5 and $15. The total amounts up fast, especially if you’re traveling with your family.

Second, ticket sales are not a smooth procedure. Changes occur in the process regularly, and you can never be sure of exactly what to expect. First, there’s often, but not always, a limit imposed on ticket sales for the smaller pyramids, those of Khufu and Khafre. This is usually 300 tickets per pyramid per day, but only 150 are offered in the morning, the rest are saved until the afternoon. People get annoyed and impatient and you may run into pushing and shoving.

For a trip to Cairo from Marsa Alam, you will be picked up from the hotel where you are registered by car or bus (depending on the number of volunteers). The driver will take you to Hurghada, where you will change to another coach, which will take you to Cairo. About 200km before Cairo, you will stop at the Zafarana inn, where you will be able to use the toilets, drink coffee or eat something. You arrive in Cairo around 8am. The first point of the trip is a visit to the Egyptian Museum, where there is, among others, over 1,700 objects from the Tomb of Tutankhamen, including the golden mask of the pharaoh.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant in Cairo then proceed to visit Salah el-Din Citadel: It served as Egypt's seat of government till the 1860s, Cairo Citadel is a magnificent fortress. It was constructed during Salah ad-Din reign. The construction work has started in 1176 and was completed in 1182. Then pay a visit to  Mohamed Ali Mosque: It was constructed between 1830 and 1848, the mosque named " The Alabaster Mosque" because of most of the walls made out of pure alabaster. The mosque is a replica of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul Khan El Khalili Bazaar: No visit to Cairo is complete without a stop to Khan EL Khalili bazaar; one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Day 1: Marsa Alam/ Pyramids Tours

Cairo Top Tours representative will pick up you from your hotel to enjoy your Cairo Tours from Marsa Alam by flight.

You will be transferred by a private a/c new vehicle to Hurghada Airport for your flight to Cairo. Arriving at Cairo Airport where your Egyptologist guide will meet you to discover the Giza Pyramids area. Pyramids of Cheops , Chephren, and Mycerinus. Then continue to visit the Great Sphinx which dates back to the era of Chephren ; the sphinx is a mythological lion figure with the head of a man to symbolize the cleverness and the strength of the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs, then visit the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramid complex of Chephren. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Move on to visit the Step Pyramid  of Zoser at Saqqara necropolis, the world's oldest stone structure. It was built in the 3rd dynasty during the old kingdom of ancient Egypt history for King Djoser . Then transfer to your hotel in Cairo Overnight.

Day 2: Cairo Tours/ Back to Marsa Alam

Breakfast at your hotel before continuing your overnight Cairo Tours from Marsa Alam to enjoy an excursion to  the Egyptian museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including Tutankhamun's collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years. Lunch will be served in a good-quality restaurant in Cairo. Then proceed to visit Saladin Citadel, The Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially from Istanbul to build this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt over 45 years. but he did not make it to complete the construction of his huge mosque that looks very similar to the blue mosque in Turkey, his son and successor Ibrahim Basha was the one who completed the mosque after his father's death  Continue driving to Islamic Cairo , where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Finally, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for a flight back to Hurghada. Upon arrival at Hurghada Airport, you will be transferred back to your hotel/ resort in Marsa Alam after your 2 Days Trip to Cairo is over.
