This is a scenic and exciting airboat ride through the Blue Elbow Swamp, fun airboat trails and surrounding estuaries.  It is likely to see alligators, turtles, nutria, hogs, deer, raccoon and a vast array of birds. Up to 6 passenger max!

2 hour Sunset Adventure

 Take an airboat ride through the swamp as the sun sets and watch the swamp come to life in a new light! See the alligators and frogs that come out to play in the swamp. Imagine cruising through the swamp on an awesome airboat as the sun is setting. You get to see the swamp at dusk and into the night.

24 hr notice required for day trip reservations

All tours must book 24 hours in advance. Each tour can hold groups up to 6. Tours run Tuesday-Sunday weather permitting. Tours close for the season on December 31st, 2024.

2 hr Day Tour

2 Hr. Tours Run from 9 AM to 6 PM Price Is 350.00 for 1 to 6 people with booking 24hrs in advance. Price increase due to fuel increase. 

2 Hour Sunset Tour

Sunset Tour Departs at 6:00 PM to 8:00 pm Price is 400.00 Airboat Marsh Tours for up to 6 people. Increase due to fuel price increase. 

2 Hour Birthday Tour

2 Hr. Day Tours Run from 9 AM to 6 PM Price Is $350 for up to 6 people. Sunset Tours Depart at 6:00 PM and return at 8:00 pm. Price is $400 for up to 6 people.

we had a great trip on the airboat. Hal was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating with our time as there was a storm coming in. We were able to get our ride in before the storm. It's a great airboat ride, especially for families with children. He stops and tells you about the birds and things in the water. Just make sure that you have cash to pay for your ride as he said his credit card machine sometimes doesn't work. We would go on this airboat tour again.

This guy has a huge ego, he's an old man so I doubt they'll be any changing, maybe he has some type of mental issue, maybe time to retire. I would recommend going else wear so you don't have to deal with his weirdness

The airboat fits six people plus a driver which is great because we had five adults. First, you pay as soon as you get in the boat and yes, he takes credit cards. I'd leave anything valuable in the car. Just take yourself, a way to pay, and your camera. Also you might want a light jacket if its only 70 degrees because the speed of the boat will make it feel more like 50. The airboat goes slow out past the fancy houses until you pass a certain marker and then you can go fast. Capt. Hal makes you wear ear muffs.. the sound reduction kind, to protect your hearing. A good thing. The motor is so loud you can't hear anyone talk anyways. When you get out to the marshy areas there's all kinds of birds. Crazy pink birds, white herons, plovers, pelicans, ibises, other birds I don't know. LOTS of birds. Its very cool. We also saw sting rays in their natural habitat in the shallow water. Cost is 35 per adult and money well spent. I wasn't sure how my 60 something parents would enjoy the air boat but my mom and dad were totally grinning. They LOVED it. So if you need something cool to do in Galveston, make reservations a week in advance and go try to the air boat. You'll have a great time!

Had a great time on Captain Hal's airboat tour! He takes you around Jamaica Beach. We saw plenty of birds, fish, and even a cow! I would definitely recommend taking this tour!

Most disgusting company ever. The farther you get into a transaction, the more they keep increasing the price. Owner seems to have mood swings. Will never have anything to do with them again.

We recently took this airboat ride. Hal takes you out slowly through the canals with waterfront homes. Once on the bay, the speed picks up. You do see a lot of birds, as they are flying away. Hal did not slow down or point out anything to us. We never saw any oyster beds, sting rays or anything else in the water. If you are looking only for an airboat ride to see the water, then this is an expensive one. If you are looking for a guided tour, I would continue to look elsewhere. Hal spoke to us before we left the dock to take care of business. He didn't speak or interact with us until the boat docked at the end. Tour lasted about an hour of which about a third of the trip was getting to and from the dock to the bay. Cost in 2015 is $200 for three people. If you do go, then get directions to the dock. GPS isn't correct. This is located in Jamaica Beach.

An environmental travesty. The noise can be heard for miles. He advertises and shows pictures of birds but that is while the are flying away in fright. Come to Texas where one guy making a few bucks can wreck havoc on the birds which support a larger economy of bird watchers and naturalist.

• On a 50-minute Mangrove Tunnel Airboat Tour (the tour you're looking at now), you'll zip through Everglades City's twisting mangrove tunnels, world-famous waterways shared by multiple tour companies. Boats seat a maximum of 6 guests.
• Add a 30-minute Grassland Airboat Tour to explore an exclusive mangrove and grassland preserve under wide-open sky. Boats seat about 15 guests.
• Add a 30-minute Swamp Buggy Tour to explore exclusive grasslands and cypress forests from a raised buggy, which seats about 20 guests.

• Any passengers aged 17 or younger must be accompanied by at least one passenger who is aged 18 or older.
• Coast Guard regulations require everyone, even infants on your lap, to buy a seat.
• Consider bringing sunblock, bug spray, and comfortable shoes and clothes.
• You might get a little wet from small splashes and spray.
• If rain is forecasted, we recommend bringing a poncho.
• Many guests see wild alligators, birds, and other wildlife on their airboat and buggy tours, but Mother Nature makes no guarantees, so neither can we.
• You will definitely see alligators and other rescued animals in our Animal Sanctuary , an attraction included with all our tours.
• Our tours run rain or shine, except when there's a thunderstorm.
• We don't refund bookings if you cancel too close to a tour's departure time (check the policy when booking).
• Sometimes we need to delay due to thunderstorms or other unforeseen circumstances. We'll do our best to reschedule or issue a refund.
• Our airboat docks are handicap accessible, but wheelchairs can’t be loaded onto our airboats.
• If anyone in your party is using a wheelchair, please be sure they can move from the wheelchair onto the airboat.
• For everyone's safety, pets and service animals are not allowed in the Animal Sanctuary , near the boat launch, on airboats, or on swamp buggies.
• Service animals are allowed only in the gift shop, restrooms, and picnic areas.

Rockport Airboat Tours

We offer sightseeing tours and fishing trips in our custom built 20' Panther airboat into the back lakes, marshes, and other areas where no other kind of regular boats can go except airboats. You will enjoy the ride, the fun of being away from other boaters, and the mystique of the backwaters where wildlife abounds such as abundant bird life, whitetail deer, alligators, fish, and other critters. There is so much more you can see in these isolated locations. Pick up the kids, grab the camera, and go for an exciting ride and/or a fishing trip, where can you can have it all. Your kids will love you for it, and we're sure the adults will have a lot of fun too.

Awesome tour with a great guide. They do have a small store with bathrooms and drinks and also have a bar attached to the building. There is a large covered patio to wait in. The gators got pretty close to the boat after the guide was able to call some in. Thankfully the boats are covered and the bugs are not bad during the day. Will definitely come back for another trip!

Choose the Right Tour

• On a 50-minute Extended Airboat Tour (the tour you're looking at now) , you'll explore the grasslands and get deeper into the mangroves where the larger boats can't go. Boats seat up to 9 guests.
• On a 30-minute Grassland Airboat Tour , you'll glide through the expansive grassland and mangroves on 259 acres of private land. Boats seat a maximum of 15 guests.
• On a 50-minute Private Airboat Tour , you get the same amazing experience as the Extended Tour, but the entire boat is reserved only for your party. Boats seat up to 9 guests.
• Add a 30-minute Swamp Buggy Tour to explore exclusive grasslands and cypress forests from a raised buggy, which seats up to 22 guests.

We'll split your party onto multiple Extended Airboat Tours, with airboats that seat a maximum of 9 guests. Or you might consider a Grasslands Airboat Tour , with airboats that seat about 15 guests.

• A Private Airboat Tour ensures your party of 9 or less gets an entire airboat to yourself to see the Everglades' famous grasslands and mangrove wilderness.

Don't use Uber, Lyft, or other ride-sharing services. They can't pick you up when you're done!

• Yes, all ages are welcome on all our tours.
• Any passengers aged 17 or younger must be accompanied by at least one passenger who is aged 18 or older.
• Coast Guard regulations require everyone, even infants on your lap, to buy a seat.
• Consider bringing sunblock, bug spray, and comfortable shoes and clothes.
• You might get a little wet from small splashes and spray.
• If rain is forecasted, we recommend bringing a poncho.
• Many guests see wild alligators, birds, and other wildlife on their airboat and buggy tours, but Mother Nature makes no guarantees, so neither can we.
• You will definitely see alligators and other rescued animals in our Animal Sanctuary , an attraction included with all our tours.
• Our tours run rain or shine, except when there's a thunderstorm.
• We don't refund bookings if you cancel too close to a tour's departure time (check the policy when booking).
• Sometimes we need to delay due to thunderstorms or other unforeseen circumstances. We'll do our best to reschedule or issue a refund.
• Our airboat docks are handicap accessible, but wheelchairs can’t be loaded onto our airboats.
• If anyone in your party is using a wheelchair, please be sure they can move from the wheelchair onto the airboat.
• For everyone's safety, pets and service animals are not allowed in the Animal Sanctuary , near the boat launch, on airboats, or on swamp buggies.
• Service animals are allowed only in the gift shop, restrooms, and picnic areas.
