The Struts announce Pretty Vicious tour dates

The hardest-working band in glam rock just keep working hard

UK glam kings The Struts are to continue their near-relentless touring schedule with a new run of North American shows in support of last year's Pretty Vicious album.

The band, who are currently on the road with Queens Of The Stone Age in Canada, will play at the House of Blues in Houston TX, on July 23, and wrap things up over a month later at the House of Blues Anaheim in Anaheim, CA, on August 30. Support at most shows will come from English singer-songwriter Barns Courtney.

"We’re very excited and honoured to be playing so many great places this summer!" say the band. "It’s not too late to meet us at a show, so be sure to grab your tickets!" Tickets are on sale now . 

After their commitments with Queens Of The Stone Age, The Struts have a pair of dates with Staind in Newark and Baltimore, before another run of headline shows in the build-up to this year's Welcome To Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, FL, on May 11. Then it's back to Europe for two festival dates, at the UK's Download Festival on June 14, and at the God Save The Kouing Festival in Penmarch, France, the following weekend.

Without a doubt, the BEST new live band I've ever seen! Complete with attire changes and killer vocals, Luke leads the band with a Mercury-esque sound and a visually captivating 70's glam/glitter rock style.

His stage presence is charismatic and charming as he invites you to not only watch the show, but become part of it. He commands the crowd with his naturally amazing vocals, and contemporary poetic songs which engage everyone to join in the excitement. He enters the floor and interacts with the audience adding to the thrill.

Make no mistake, this band is the REAL DEAL. They are here to take you along on an awesome ride. I'd see them every night if I could. They are a tight band with endless talent. Their first cd sounds like it could be a greatest hits album because every song is catchy and hi-energy.

Looking forward to seeing them again in NYC in October!

How about having a stadium caliber band playing in a small sweaty venue with a bar at the back that takes up half the space?

I’ve been to hundreds of concerts, but never, ever since Queen at Wembley have I seen so much charisma and talent on stage. Perfect in every way. The friendliness of the band, their respect for the fans, and the clear fun they have in giving the show made it the most memorable one ever.

Thanks you Struts. You are going to be HUGE and I’ll be telling the story over and over to my grand kids of how I was there. In that little Betlin club at the end of your tour to see you just as you stepped into universal stardom. I give you 3/5 years before you are indicted in the Rock n roll hall of fame. Now I must turn up the volume to my Struts.

I saw The Struts for the first time at The Kentish Town Forum and to say I was impressed is an understatement! What a band! What a show! They were amazing! The lead singer is from the Freddie Mercury mould, such a showman! Great voice, plays the piano beautifully, flamboyant, charismatic and works the crowd expertly.

The lead guitarist was also amazing and actually performed a solo during the set. He looks like a proper Rock guitarist, big hair, chest out, weilding his guitar with aplomb.

Their music is similar to the likes of Queen, The Darkness, even Slade in parts, proper glam rock with the outfits to match. The songs are so great and every one felt like it could be a finale, with the crowd being worked after every one. Such a great band, a must see live.

What a great show!! The Struts were great showmen and artists. They really kept the audience hopping. This was the most fun I've had at a concert, ever.

The venue (Bogarts) was also awesome! We were never inconvenienced with a line at the bar or the restroom! Getting in was a breeze and so was the exit. I'll be back!!

Dorothy was good too. I don't think the sound was mixed right though. The lead singer was really hard to pick out of the raging guitars. But what we did pick up was amazing! What a voice!!

Overall a GREAT concert. I want to say it was the best I've ever been to. The Struts are a band to watch!!

The Struts are amazing performers in every way! These musicians are top notch entertainers who include the audience in most songs making the experience feel very personal.

Too bad the venue Roxy Theatre on Sunset Blvd is not comfortable. Very few chairs making the audience stand for over 4 hours crowded and cramped with security constantly poking people closer together. We bought food and were made to juggle it along with our drinks. Patrons are not allowed to leave once in the building so there are no options for having a great experience. The only saving grace was the excellent performance by The Struts!

This is the 3rd time I've had the pleasure to see The Struts live in person. This is one hell of a rock and roll show! When my girlfriend and I realized they were not coming through Las Vegas on tour, we decided the Roxy was the show we had to make. New music, even more stage presence if that's possible, and a genuine love of the show make this band an absolute must see. Luke is in great form and the entire band is tight and sharp. Great musicianship to go along with great showmanship! The entire band brings it every time.

The energy in the venue began the moment they took the stage. What an an amazing night was had by all. Luke commanded the stage in a way that has not been seen since the likes of the Legend Mr. Freddie Mercury.

I found this band about four years ago on youtube and it is about time they are getting recognized for the sheer talent that they they all are blessed with. If people do not know the Struts now, they will!!

I cannot wait for my next experience. Long Island Loves The Struts!!

One of the best shows ever. They are energetic and entertaining. The music is enchanting. I dare you to try and look away from Luke Spiller as he struts across the stage (or bar). There was full audience participation and never a dull moment.

This is the second time I've seen them and definitely won't be the last. They did a nice blend of new and old material and a great cover of Dancing in the Dark.

Put The Struts on you list of must see performers. You won't be disappointed.

This is my second Struts tour and it was just as good as the first. When you see these guys you are not just going to "see a band" you are going to a rock concert—like a back in the days of yore—an awesome 1970's glam rock concert. The stage presence, the songs, the sing alongs—it's all so British and so damn fun. Love seeing a crowd dancing and singing along instead of standing around looking at their phones. Super high energy and everyone left sweaty and happy.

Saw these lovely chaps supporting the Foo Fighters in Austin last night and they killed it! Luke Spiller on vocals is a great front man strutting his stuff and getting the crowd going. I had heard their CD and had a gut feeling that they would be awesome live - and they did not disappoint! Would definitely go see them again - if you get the chance to see them and you enjoy rocking out and having a good boogie - these guys will leave you satisfied :-)!

The tour is set to kick off October 12 in Albany, NY.

The Struts have announced additional dates for their “Strange Days Are Over Tour.” The newly announced dates include stops in Detroit, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 25 at 10am local time.

The band will also be hitting the Reading & Leeds Festival this summer, Bonnaroo in September, and a number of cities on a handful of dates supporting Shinedown .

The Struts recently released a scorching version of “We Will Rock You,” the classic hit by Queen, and have unveiled a beautiful piano performance of the song with lead singer Luke Spiller playing solo in an empty theater. “We Will Rock You’” follows The Struts’ recent collaboration with paris jackson on “Low Key In Love” which was released last month along with a video directed by Bryson Roatch.

When COVID-19 brought touring to a halt, The Struts created their third album Strange Days over the course of a charmed and frenzied burst of creativity last spring. After getting tested for COVID-19, the band moved into the L.A. home of producer Jon Levine and, within just ten days, laid down nine original tracks alongside their cover of a KISS B-side.

The Struts: U.S. Tour Dates and New Music

On 2.9.24 The Struts released a new song, “How Can I Love You (Without Breaking Your Heart).”   They have U.S. tour dates scheduled beginning in April, 2024.

The energetic and charismatic British Rock band have earned a reputation as a must-see rock band for their crowd connection and magnetic vibes.  The band is comprised of lead vocalist Luke Spiller, guitarist Adam Slack, bassist Jed Elliott, and drummer Gethin Davies.

Formed in Derby, England in 2012, “ Could Have Been Me” was an early hit.  Since then they have played festivals like Lollapolloza, earned the No. 1 spot on the Spotify Viral Top 50 and opened for several heavy hitters: including The Foo Fighters and The Rolling Stones.

Their new song, “How Can I Love You (Without Breaking Your Heart)”   follows their 11-track record, Pretty Vicious , which was released in November 2023 via Big Machine/John Varvatos Records.

Featured Movies, Tour Dates and More on the 2024 Level 1 Freeski Film Tour

It wasn’t too long ago that ski film tours had grown… stagnant. That’s not to say that they were boring; ski movie premiers are always a blast. Poster signings and giveaways put a smile on the face of any rational person. However, for most of the large production companies, it had been done, and done again with little change.

But in 2021, Level 1 shook up the game. They compiled a collection of independent films, some of which they’d sponsored, and took off across the United States to show them to passionate skiers from coast to coast. The Level 1 Freeski Film Tour was born, and now it’s back for a third year of rowdy crowds and phenomenal ski flicks.

On September 6th, our friends at Level 1 will kick off this magnificent skiing exposé starting in their home city of Denver, Colorado. The tour will continue on to the following destinations below:

9/6-9/7 – Denver, Colorado

9/10 – Bozeman, Montana

9/12 – Salt Lake City, Utah

9/14 – Bend, Oregon

9/15 – Seattle, Washington

9/20 – Madison, Wisconsin

9/21 – Detroit, Michigan

9/24 – New York City, New York

9/26 – Boston, Massachusetts

9/29 – Burlington, Vermont

10/10 – Whitefish, Montana *Limited Lineup

Most of the 2024 Freeski Film Tour offerings will remain constant across each city. Every stop on the tour will see films from Colby Stevenson, Ben Smith & Birk Irving, Keegan Kilbride, Svea Irving, Sammy Carlson, the Keep Standing crew, as well as a special feature from Hugo Bruvall, Oliver Karlberg, Siver Voll and Aleksi Patja.

If you can make it to the world premier in Denver, dubbed the Freeski Film Fest, you’ll get a few bonus flicks. Night One in Denver will show projects by Laurent De Martin and Suede, while Night Two hosts the latest installment of Bucket Clips, as well as features from Bobby Brown and The Runge. If you’re feeling ambitious, Level 1 is offering a combo deal including tickets to both nights .

But it doesn’t end there. Level 1 will be showing their 25th anniversary film, “ Wasteland ,” at each location, (with the exception of Denver Night Two.) The production powerhouse fired the cameras up this winter and gave the director seat to Owen Dahlberg and Andrew Mildenberger. These two incredible cameramen have poured their hearts into this project without a doubt, delivering a film that, “[celebrates] 25 years of Level 1, but focused only on the future.”

If the Level 1 Freeski Film Fest is heading to a town near you, we urge you to head out for a night of freeski excitement. Whether you’ve been skiing for decades or just picked it up last winter, you’re guaranteed to meet a few great people, see a plethora of excellent films, grab some free signed posters and get fired up for the coming winter. Hinds Strut Through Hard Times on ‘Viva Hinds’

The Spanish guitar goddesses in Hinds have been through it lately, and they bet that you have, too. They begin their fabulously resilient Viva Hinds with “Hi, How Are You,” a garage-rock strut with some call-and-response about shaking off some bad luck. Ana Perrotte sings, “Hey, you okay?” Carlotta Cosials replies, “I’ve been better tbh.” Viva Hinds is their fourth and finest album, a joyful, brash half-hour of swaggering tunes about facing up to heartache by turning it into a sarcastic joke, with guitars cranked up all the way.

Hinds get help from a couple of famous friends. Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten drops in for “Strangers,” fitting right into their sugary harmonies with his surly Dublin punk sneer. “Strangers” is full of echoey guitar ripples, evoking the legendary Madrid new wave scene of the Eighties, especially bands like Esplendor Geométrico or El Ultimo Sueño . Beck joins them for the great “Boom Boom Back.” It’s a Midnite Vultures -worthy romp where they’re bored at chic parties (“nope, thank you though, you know I don’t do cocaine”), yearning to escape so they can go fall in love at a sleazy bar and cruise around in a Mirage. The Vaccines’ Pete Robertson has their back on drums as well as production.

Viva Hinds has the first songs they’ve ever recorded in their native tongue, the moody “Mala Vista” and the delightfully peppy “En Forma,” which has manic 1960s French ye-ye energy topped with 1980s synth-pop blurts, yet overflows with their punked-up attitude. “The Bed, The Room, The Rain and You” is bittersweet dream-pop in the mode of early New Order, as Perrotte and Cosials lament getting over a break-up. They mourn. “The bed is you, the room is you, the rain is you, the blackbirds too.” But Hinds aren’t the type to wallow in despair for long, and Viva Hinds is a righteous soundtrack to leaving hard times behind and rushing forward.
