Wild and Free Safari Themed Birthday Party

We are excited to report that drive by birthday parties are not going anywhere. We seen quite a few now , and today’s has too be the most exciting, wild and free. That’s right, we are sharing this adorable safari themed birthday party on the blog today! Get ready to be transported to the outback, because this safari themed birthday has to be the most adventurous party we have had on the blog yet.

The event planner and mom shares,

Lions, Tigers and Alpacas.. oh my! Inspired by daughter Tatum’s wild and free outlook on life, we decided to bring the jungle to our front yard in Long Beach, California. Southern Renaissance Design set the vibe by creating ticket invitations to Tatum’s Safari ride. She also designed custom coloring books adorned with African beads, gorgeous watercolor safari posters that lined the entryway, and safari animal stickers for the custom popcorn cups. We added boho elements throughout the party and used pops of black and orange everywhere. Everywhere you turned, you ran into one of Marks & Crafts beautiful balloon installations.  The surprise furry guests from Reptacular Animals showed up and got the party started! The only time the kids left the animal area was to grab treats from the epic dessert table. Between the kids’ charcuterie board, cakesicles, custom cookies and cookies, and cream two-tiered cake — it’s safe to say they had plenty of sugar that day. It took a village of incredibly talented vendors to make this wild and fun day possible. The birthday girl had a ROAR-ing good time!

This is what Kristen said about planning/styling the party- “The mommy to be didn’t find out what she was having so we had to keep the shower gender neutral. She was doing the nursery in a safari theme so I wanted to integrate that into the look of the shower. I kept the colors very neutral and natural with pops of metallic to add a glam touch. We did one long table for all of the guests with natural elements to keep with the safari feel. The main table featured delicious and adorable mini donuts from Home Bakeshop along with salads and quiche befitting the brunch time of the shower. Some of my favorite details were the succulents I hand made out of felt. I also loved the animals that I painted gold to make them a little more glam. Another adorable element was the elephant rocker which was decorated with ribbon and a wreath around its neck. The shower was gender neutral but still fun and whimsical and most importantly was a huge sit with the guests and most importantly the mommy to be”.
