About Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Safari Park, located in Al Warqa 5, houses approximately 3,000 animals from all over the world, across a 119-hectare site. The park first opened to the public in December 2017 by Dubai Municipality, under the directive of His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. In 2020, as part of its rebranding strategy, Dubai Municipality revitalized the way that Dubai Safari Park operates, with an emphasis on customer experience, educational projects, and promoting the wide range of animal welfare and conservation strategies that underpin the park’s creation The reimagined Dubai Safari Park consists of five key attractions, including the African Village, Asian Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Explorer Village, and Adventure Valley. Visitors can also explore the free-roaming areas, experience standout attractions such as the Safari Journey and Kids Farm.

Dubai Safari Park (دبي سفاري) – Al Warqa Dubai

Dubai Safari Park has reopened its doors to the public on October 5, 2020, follows a comprehensive renovation and development process aimed at expanding the park and features unique & interactive programmes that provide a memorable experience to the visitors. The visitors can transport themselves around the park on air-conditioned trains across 3 themed zones – the African Village, Asian Village and Explorer Village.

Social distancing of two metres will be strictly enforced with stickers placed on the floors to guide visitors. A thermal camera has been installed and manual thermometers will also be used to screen visitors.

• Dubai Safari Park is located in Al Warqa 5 in Aweer Road in an area 400 hectares and includes Safari, Butterfly Park, golf courses, entertainment and recreational areas.
• Dubai Safari Park- Al Warqa has Arabian Village, Asian Village, African Village to accommodate animals from different continents
• The park will feature air-conditioned rocks, chilled pools, misting machines and a large theatre that seats 1,000 people.
• As far as animals go, expect lions, bears, monkeys, bats, elephants, cheetahs, tigers and much, much more.
• Interestingly, there will be air-conditioned rocks, chilled pools and misting machines built into the park to help keep the animals cool over the summer months.
• The fence around the safari park will be 3.7 kilometers long.
• There will be a large theatre in the zoo that seats 1,000 people – this stage will host shows featuring binturong (also known as a Bearcat) and raccoons.
• It will take about eight hours to take in the whole park, and there will eventually be a hotel on site.
• In total there will be four restaurants in the park, and one of them will look over the cheetah exhibit.
• The African area will have lions, gorillas, chimps, warthogs, antelope and a walk-through aviary.
• During the summer months, the park will be open in the evening only due to the heat.
• The Arabic village will be divided into three environments – the desert, the mountains and the steppe (which means a large area of land that’s mostly treeless but has plenty of shrubs). This area will also feature Bedouin activities – including falconry and dog hunting.
• The African area will feature both a savannah and a rainforest, and there will also be a Safari Area where visitors can ride around in a safari car (that’s air-conditioned) in a tour that takes about an hour.

Dubai safari zoo park location layout

The safari that covers 119 hectares of the total area is aimed at establishing the best centre for wildlife in the world, providing a variety of environments appropriate to different animals.

The project will use modern interactive methods in control and movement to ensure the distinctive and unique experience for visitors.

However, the hero animal of this zone is the Arabian Wolf!

EXPLORER VILLAGE

The Safari Journey at the Explorer Village is the main zone attraction. Visitors can explore the village in specially designed vehicles and spot species like zebra, water buffalo and cheetah (the village’s Hero Animal).

Families love the cheetah-run area, where they can see the frisky beasts in action. The place also offers giraffe feeding activities and a bird show.

Wadi, or the Valley area, is where you can host a picnic or grab a quick bite from the restaurants inside Dubai Safari Park. Both restaurants overlook the river. So, you can watch ducks, peacocks, swans and even pelicans while enjoying your food!

DUBAI SAFARI PARK TIMINGS

The Dubai Safari Park time is from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm (Monday to Sunday). A tour of the whole park easily takes over 5 hours, so ensure you have enough time to explore everything when you plan your visit. 

Please note that the park closes entries at 03:30 pm.

How to go to Dubai Safari Park by metro

For those who don’t have a car, the easiest way to get to Safari Park by public transportation is to take the Dubai Metro to the Creek Metro Station on the Green Line. From there you would need to take a taxi. The taxi ride from the Creek Metro to Dubai Safari Park is about 16 minutes.

Where is Dubai Safari Park located ?

It is located in Al Warqa’a 5 and is approximately a 12-minute drive from International City . You can easily access the park via Al Awir/ Ras Al Khor Road or Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street (D54). The park isn’t far for those living in villas for rent in Mirdif or flats for rent in Al Warqaa .

What should I wear during the visit?

Guests must dress respectfully. Comfortable clothing should cover your shoulders and knees.

The Dubai Safari Park ticket price varies for both children and adults. You can visit the official website for more details, as you can see the tickets and packages in detail below. 

The day pass Safari Park Dubai ticket price is AED 50 for adults, AED 20 for children, and free for children under the age of 3. And it includes: 

• 10-minute Arabian Desert Safari 
• Kids Farm 

Day Pass Plus 

Secondly, the day pass plus is AED 75 for adults, and AED 45 for children from the ages of 3 years – 12 years old. When purchasing this ticket, you will get: 

• Train services
• 10-minute Arabian Desert Safari via electrical vehicle 
• Reserved seats at live shows

Safari Journey 

If you are looking for something more adventures and interactive. Then we recommend the Safari Journey. It charges AED 90 for adults, AED 35 for children, and it is free for children under the age of 3. This pass includes: 

• Train services 
• 35-minute Sadari Journey by bus tour 
• 10-minute Arabian Desert Safari by electrical vehicle 
• Kids farm 

Safari Journey Plus

Finally, the Safari Park Dubai entry fee for the safari journey plus is AED 110 for adults, and AED 55 for children from 3 years old to 12 years old. And with this pass, you will get the same package mentioned for Safari Journey in addition to reserved seats at live shows. 

Night Pass 

The night pass includes a 10-minute-shuttle tour of the Arabian Desert. As well as exploring the many villages within the park along with its restaurants and food trucks. The prices of this pass are yet to be announced on the park’s official website.

Arabian Desert Safari 

Meet the Arabian Wolf, which is the hero animal at the Arabian Desert Safari. You will also get to see the Arabian gazelle and more amazing exotic Arabian animals. 

Asian Village 

Asian Village is known for its creative theatre. Where many shows with a variety of animals take place. You will also get to meet their hero animal, which is the Moon Bear. 

Explorer Village 

This village is the main attraction of the park. It is home to the fast and fractious Cheetah as well as many other wild animals, such as the hippo, zebra, rhino, crocodile, deer, and much more. 

African Village 

If your children watched The Lion King or Madagascar, then surely they love African wildlife. At this village, they will meet the majestic African elephant as well as the white lion and gorilla. This village also has houses for chimpanzees, gorillas, and reptiles. 

Take your children for a fun and educational interactive experience with the cutest and friendliest animals. Kid’s Farm is a petting zoo for tame animals for kids to pet, brush, and feed. 

Al Wadi 

Al Wadi, or The Valley is where you can end a long day of fun and adventurous safari. It has two restaurants, picnic seating, and many food trucks and kiosks.

Is it possible to access the trains within the park.

The train service for traveling between the villages within the park is exclusively available to guests with PLUS tickets, which can only be obtained through online bookings. Moreover, guests with POD tickets can gain access to the trains by presenting their tickets at each station.

Is there a dress code that needs to be followed to enter the park?

To ensure a pleasant experience, it is recommended that guests wear comfortable clothing and shoes. As Dubai Safari Park is a family-friendly environment and a government entity, respectful attire that covers the shoulders and knees is mandatory within the park facilities. How to Visit Dubai Safari Park?

Best time to visit the dubai safari park, weekday vs weekend.

Weekdays (Sunday-Wednesday) offer a calmer atmosphere, shorter queues and more opportunities to observe the animals at your own pace. Visit early mornings between 9 am and 11 am for shorter lines to escape the heat and to encounter animals when they're most active.

On the other hand, the park comes alive with families and tourists close to weekends between Thursday and Saturday, leading to busier pathways and potentially longer wait times for shows and attractions.

Peak season vs Low season

For the least crowded experience, prioritize weekdays during the low season, April and May or September and October. If pleasant weather is your top priority, weekdays or early mornings during the peak season, November to March, offer a good balance.

How Long Does it Take to Tour Dubai Safari Park?

There are a lot of animals, habitats and live shows to explore at the Dubai Safari Park. To be able to make the best of your visit, we recommend that you take out at least half a day to enjoy the park. Most guests cover the park in 4-5 hours.
