  • Camp Nou Experience (Stadium Tour)

kids love it unique must see

Have you ever wondered what it must feel like to be Messi, looking up into the cheering stands of the Camp Nou after scoring a wonder goal?

  • Book your tickets online to avoid long queues at the stadium.
  • Select your the time slot that best suits your vacation schedule.
  • Tickets include a visit to the FC Barcelona Museum, where you’ll get to know FC Barcelona’s history.

Tickets & Prices

There are four ticket types for the Camp Nou Experience: Standard adult tickets, tickets for seniors/pensioners, students, and children. Children under the age of 6 enter for free – but you must book their place.

The Camp Nou Experience is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Barcelona. The FC Barcelona Museum, which is included in the tour, is Barcelona’s most popular museum, receiving close to 2 million visitors a year – that’s why it’s important to book ahead to guarantee your visiting times and to avoid the long lines at the Stadium.

You also have the opportunity to benefit from a special combo discount if you get your Camp Nou Tour tickets together with the Barcelona Hop On Hop Off Bus pass. The Hop on Hop off is the best way to get around the city and view all its most important monuments.

What to see and do

Befitting a club of the stature of FC Barcelona, there is much to see and do on your visit to Camp Nou. With your ticket you’ll get to visit…

The Mighty Playing Field

Look out over the 105m by 68m pitch and gaze up at the 48m high stands and you’ll get to feel what it’s like to be a player for FC Barcelona on match-day. You can also visit the benches, where coaches and the team sit and strategize during the game.

The Commentators’ Boxes

Perched up in the rafters, the commentators’ boxes offer the best view of the entire stadium and the playing field. Many famous TV and radio personalities have spent hours on hours here, helping fans at home feel the hype and the ambience of the game from afar.

The Visitors’ Dressing Room

Unfortunately, the home dressing room is off limits to visitors, but you will get to see the visitors dressing room. All of the world’s most famous teams have come been through here: Real Madrid, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Milan, and dozens of others.

The FC Barcelona Museum

Over the years, Barcelona has collected hundreds of trophies from many different competitions. They’re all on display here, as well as many mementos from the club’s past. If you want to get to know FC Barcelona’s history a little better this is the place to do so.

Did you know: (four interesting facts!)

  • Did you know that it’s the largest stadium in Europe? The Camp Nou has a capacity of just over 99,000 spectators and the current expansion plan, to be completed in 2021, will increase that to 105,000.
  • The first player to score a goal at the Camp Nou was Eulogio Martinez, a popular Paraguayan striker for Barcelona during the 50’s and 60’s.
  • The stadium was built to accommodate the massive crowds attracted by the popularity of Laszlo Kubala, Barcelona’s first true star player. The old stadium of Les Corts was too small to fit all the fans that wanted to see the Hungarian play.
  • Barcelona won its one-thousandth game in the Camp Nou in November of 2014, a 5-1 victory over Sevilla including a hat trick by Leo Messi

Let’s take a look.

Where to Buy Camp Nou Guided Tour Tickets?

First of all: yes.

You can buy Camp Nou Stadium tickets at the stadium.

If you’re going through your Barcelona itinerary on a whim or don’t have a credit card this is a fine enough option, though you do run the risk of showing up and having time slots being sold out.

Also – if you buy your Camp Nou Museum tickets in advance online you save €3.50 a ticket (standard visit).

In a family of four that’s €14.00 or if it’s by yourself that’s a beer at one of Barcelona’s best bars .

To lock in your preferred times and save money it’s a must to buy in advance, and the tickets to visit depend on what you wanna do:

  • Standard visit with audio guide in English -> Buy
  • Standard visit with open date -> Buy
  • Camp Nou guided tour in English -> Buy
  • Visit with virtual reality -> Buy
  • Visit Player Experience -> Buy

All tickets listed above are at the best market price and include the audio guide in English.

The second on the list (with an open date) is the only one that allows you to access the day and time you prefer, without having to choose it in advance.

To see what each type of ticket includes feel free to click the links above – though if you’re stuck feel free to write me below 🙂

Camp Nou Tickets & Tours

Camp Nou tour

Camp Nou, also known as the Barcelona Stadium, is a must-visit attraction in the city.

Two million tourists take the stadium tour every year.

As part of this tour, tourists also get to visit the Barcelona Football Club Museum inside the stadium.

This article covers everything you must know before booking your Camp Nou Tour.

Things to know before booking tickets.

You can buy Barcelona Camp Nou tickets online or at the ticketing window at Gate No. 9 of the stadium.

For the best experience, we recommend you buy the tickets online.

There are four distinct advantages of booking your tickets online.

1. Avoid the queue

If you decide to buy tickets for the Barca Experience from the stadium, you must stand in a queue at the Gate No. 9 ticketing counter.

Depending on the season and time of the day, you may have to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours in the line.

Camp Nou Tour Tickets

You can avoid this waiting time if you buy your tickets online.

Bonus: If, for some reason, you didn’t heed our advice and are now standing in the ticketing queue, check out these interesting facts about the attraction.

2. Ticket prices are discounted

Yes, you read that right—you can get a discount if you buy your tickets online.

When you buy the tickets at the venue, you get charged €2.5 extra for every ticket.

This ‘extra’ you pay is the handling charge (the window surcharge).

When you buy online, you don’t pay this surcharge and, hence, get a €2.5 discount on every ticket.

Save money by buying Camp Nou Tour tickets online .

3. Avoid the wait for your time slot

Tickets issued at the venue have a time mentioned on them.

You can only start your tour at the time specified on your ticket.

If you don’t purchase your tickets online, these timed tickets result in additional waiting time during crowded days.

Let us explain how:

Let’s say you reach the stadium at 2 pm.

You stand in the queue at the ticketing counter for 30 minutes and get your tickets at 2.30 pm.

But because of the crowd, the next available time slot is 3.30 pm (this time gets printed on your tickets).

Now, you will have to wait an hour before starting the tour.

When you book your ticket online, you can avoid this waiting by arriving at the stadium entrance on time.

4. No need to do research on match days

Camp Nou tour gets affected when matches are scheduled at the stadium.

For Champions League matches

When a Champions League match is scheduled, the stadium tour is affected on two days—one day before the game (for preparation) and the day of the game.

On both days, you can visit the FC Barcelona Museum, the Trophy Room, and Messi’s Zone till 3 pm.

But this is only half the experience, so we don’t recommend visiting on match days.

For La Liga & Copa del Rey matches

The tours get canceled when La Liga and Copa del Rey matches get scheduled.

How booking online helps

You can’t book on match days when you buy tickets online.

Thus, you don’t have to do independent research to know the match days.

You also won’t land up at the stadium’s Gate No. 9 to buy tickets on a matchday only to be turned away.

Camp Nou tour tickets

This Camp Nou tour ticket lets you access everything there is to see and experience at the premier Barcelona stadium.

The ticket includes:

The tickets are smartphone tickets, which means they get delivered to your email, and you don’t need to take printouts.

On the day of your visit, show them the ticket in your email and walk in.

Cost of tickets

The Camp Nou tour ticket costs €26 per person for visitors 11 years and above, and kids aged four to 10 can enter for a discounted price of €20.

Adult (11+ years): €26 Child (4 to 10 years): €20 Infant (up to 3 years): Free

Guided tour

Barcelona Stadium guided tour

If you prefer a FC Barcelona guide to take you around, check out this guided Barcelona Stadium tour .

During the peak season of April to October, the Camp Nou Experience tour is available daily from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm.

During the rest of the year, the Bstadium and museum open at 10 am and close at 6.30 pm.

*During the lean period from 9 Jan to 24 Mar and from 15 Oct to 16 Dec, the tour is only available from 10 am to 2.30 pm on Sundays.

It remains closed on Christmas and New Year.

Tours on match days

On Matchdays, Camp Nou Experience tours get canceled.

That’s why match days aren’t the best time to visit.

However, depending on the type of match, certain parts of the stadium tour are open to the public.

How long does the tour take

The Camp Nou Tour, which includes both the FC Barcelona Museum and the Stadium, takes 2 hours.

Serious Barcelona FC fans are known to spend even up to 4 hours on tour.

Most of this time goes into viewing Barcelona FC’s trophies and the various other exhibits on display, learning the club’s history, and soaking in the stadium atmosphere.

The tour ticket has no time limit —once inside, you can stay and explore until it is closing time.

Best time to visit

Trophies in Camp Nou

The best time to visit Camp Nou is before 11 am.

The queue is short, and you can spend as much time exploring the exhibits at the FC Barcelona stadium and Museum.

If you can’t make it before 11 am, the next best time is by 4 pm.

But then, you only get 2.5 hours to make the most of your tour.

On all days of the week, the period just after lunch sees the longest queues.

If you want to avoid the crowd, it is best to book Camp Nou tour tickets online.

Visiting this attraction close to the match days isn’t advisable because the tour gets canceled.

Camp Nou in winter

You won’t experience long lines at the ticketing counters and the other attractions on tour during winter.

However, during these months, the stadium feels a bit colder than usual.

The self-guided museum tour, which is indoor, doesn’t get affected in winter.

Best time for photographs

Inside the FC Barcelona Museum, you can take close shots of trophies and other memorabilia throughout the day.

However, if you want to take good photographs of the stadium, the best time is before 5 pm.

Shadows start to elongate and darken up the photographs after 5 pm.

Hint: Don’t wear green if you plan to get photographed on the pitch. You don’t want to merge with the lush green grass in the stadium.

What to expect

Check out the video to get an idea of what to expect on the Camp Nou tour.

There is only one way to see and enjoy the greatness of the stadium and FC Barcelona – by going on a tour.

What to see at Camp Nou tour

The self-guided tour covers everything there is to see at Europe’s finest soccer stadium.

On non-match days, the tour includes everything on offer at the world-class stadium.

1. 3D presentation

This 3D show provides images and scenarios of famous football matches.

If you are visiting with kids, stop by here because they seem to love this 3D show more than adults.

This 3D show has no audio – perhaps to cater to tourists from all nations.

2. Away team dressing room

You get a peek inside the away team dressing room where Ryan Gigs, David Beckham, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, and many other legends have discussed team strategies before facing the mighty FC Barcelona.

3. FC Barcelona’s Chapel

Gods of football come to worship the real God at this Chapel before entering the pitch and facing their opponents.

The Chapel is right next to the dressing room.

4. Players’ tunnel and the dugout

This part of the tour is sure to give you goosebumps.

It is the same tunnel through which players such as Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Ronaldo, Romario, Ronaldhino, Xavi, and Messi walk to the pitch.

You will be standing on the spot, graced by their stud-laden feet.

You can also sit on the dugout benches and do a fake warm-up as if you were going in next.

However, this part of the tour remains closed on match days, and you can only enjoy a panoramic view of the stadium.

5. FC Barcelona Museum

At the Museum, you can see all five Champions Leagues, three FIFA Club World Cups, 24 La Liga titles, and 29 Spanish Cups.

Many interactive walls take you through the glorious history of the club.

A video presentation showcases some of Barcelona FC’s biggest wins.

6. Press Box

As part of the tour, you can explore the elegant 29-cabin Barcelona press box, which stretches for about 35 meters above the ground.

The view from the press box is one of the best.

7. Artwork of Miro

The famous artist Miro was a Barcelona fan, and as a tribute, he has made a beautiful lithograph displayed at the club.

The painting is bound to catch the attention of art lovers visiting the FC Barcelona stadium.

Read more such Camp Nou facts .

8. The Messi Zone

Golden Shoe

The club hero, the legend, the magician—no words are enough to describe this footballing maestro who grew up in this club.

In Messi’s Zone, you can see his three Golden Boots and five Ballon D’ors.

If his trophies and prizes overwhelm you, prepare to be blown away by the continuously running big screen display of Messi’s legendary goals.

Camp Nou is a highly-rated attraction on TripAdvisor.

Its 4.5 rating makes it a top 10 tourist attraction in Barcelona.

We have selected two of the most recent Camp Nou reviews for you –

Really interesting tour

As a football lover, I was always going to love this, but my wife, who is not really into football, also enjoyed it. The Museum was fascinating. The Museum is not only about the team but the part they played in Catalonian history and the differences between Catalonia and Spain. Being able to go pitch side, see the change rooms, media boxes and walk up the tunnel to the pitch was all part of the exciting experience. – H3005MGjohna

A must for any football fan!

I have been to Barcelona twice now, and both times I have visited Camp Nou. I honestly cannot describe how amazing the stadium is; I still enjoyed the tours and experiences even though I had already seen them. – Avigeektraveller

Camp Nou audio guide

The Camp Nou Experience tour is self-guided.

There are enough directional arrows, information boards, bright yellow barriers, etc., to guide you throughout the tour.

Besides, security guards and attendants guide you if you get stuck.

However, if you would like to learn a lot of information, we recommend you purchase the audio guide.

Working with the audio guides is easy.

It has two parts: a device for inputting numbers corresponding to the exhibit you are standing next to and an earphone for relaying the information.

The audio guide costs €6 per person, and you can buy it at the venue.

These audioguides are available in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian, German, and Dutch.

Restaurants in Camp Nou

If you prefer, you can break your tour for some good Spanish food at Tapas 24 or the popular Spanish fast food joint Pans and Company or Ice Rink.

All these restaurants serve local fare.

You can’t be a soccer fan and not have a beer at Camp Nou.

That’s precisely why Estrella Damm Hall serves beer and snacks to tourists who walk in.

Souvenirs at FCBotiga

FCBotiga stores are the official merchandise store for Barcelona FC.

The largest of the FCBotiga stores is at Camp Nou.

At the end of the stadium tour, you will be ushered into FCBotiga to pick up souvenirs.

These FCBotigas also exist in other parts of Barcelona and are excellent places to pick up gifts for friends and relatives.

How to reach

Camp Nou has been FC Barcelona’s home since its inauguration in September 1957.

Guaranteed Entrance Ticket

Camp Nou is the most visited museum in Barcelona. The only attraction more visited than the Camp Nou (Stadium and Museum) is the  Sagrada Família  which attracts over 4.5 million visitors per year (2016). While the queues at the Sagrada Família are notorious, the queues at Camp Nou can last one or even two hours in the peak tourist season.

However, you can avoid the queues very easily by following these tips:

  • Each ticket sold on this site  requires you to choose a date and time slot for your visit,  guaranteeing you avoid the queue.
  • Tickets purchased at the stadium box office cost more because of the processing fee, another good reason to buy your ticket in advance.

2- Avoid queuing by booking a guided tour.

  • Booking a guided tour of Camp Nou also gives you priority access to the stadium.
  • You and your group will save time in the queues. You will get the most out of your visit.

3- Choose the right time slot

  • Camp Nou is open all week.
  • The best time to visit Camp Nou is in the morning when it opens at 10 am and from 3 pm.
  • Weekends are more visited than other days of the week.
  • Finally, avoid match days to make the most of your day.

Please note: On Champions League days, this restriction extends from the day before as well as the price reduction applies.

Unfortunately you will not attend a training match of the Barcelona football club players during the visit of the Camp Nou. Since 2008 the training is no longer done at Camp Nou but at La Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper which is located in Sant Joan Despi, 8.5 kilometers from Camp Nou. These training sessions are not open to the public. The only way to meet the champions now is to go to the Mini Estadi around January 5 of each year, date on which the blaugranas train for the only time of the year in public. The entrance ticket is 10€. Ticket to be found on the spot that day. (Check the date of this match which may be moved due to Liga calendar).

The visit of the Camp Nou is not suitable for the people in wheelchair due to a very large number of stairs throughout the course. Nevertheless the museum with the trophy room, the historical frieze, the Messi space as well as the panoramic view of the stadium are wheelchair-friendly.

The club also offers a special service for the disabled - The Specialized Services Office (OAE) available on +34 902 1899 00

How do you get to the camp nou stadium by metro.

The stadium can easily be reached by metro . The closest metro stop for visiting the stadium tour is metro stop 'Palau Reial' of the green metro line 3. From this stop, you only have to walk to the end of the 'Carrer de Marti i Franques' street. After 500 metres, you'll reach the entrance for the Camp Nou Experience.

An alternative stop is metro stop 'Collblanc', of metro line 5. Turn into the street 'Travessera de les Corts' and follow it for about 300 metres. However, you will still need to get to the other side of the football stadium. Go left and follow the stadium premises. This stop is a better choice if you're visiting a match of FC Barcelona, as the gates at the side will be open then.

Visit Camp Nou

The Stadium of FC Barcelona

Camp Nou Tour

If you want to feel like a player for a day, the Camp Nou tour gives you the chance to go behind the scenes and soak up all the action from a player’s perspective.

What to expect – Prices & Tickets – Tour Times

Camp Nou Tour

As well as giving you instant access to all the good stuff – we’re talking dressing rooms, the player tunnel, and the mighty pitch itself – the Barcelona stadium tour also gives you access to the FC museum, where you can learn all about the history of the club.

The tour itself is self-guided, so you can spend as long as you like browsing the player bios and walking in the footsteps of football superstars. As you make your way through, bright yellow barriers etch out the way for you so you don’t miss a single thing, and there are attendants on hand to help you out if you get lost.

Information is dotted around on boards along the route, but you can also pick up a guided tour for that extra oomph (see the tickets section for more information).

What to Expect

There is a lot to take in on the FC Barcelona tour, so expect to spend between 1 and 2 hours exploring the team’s past and present. Along the way, you’ll get to build up the backstory of the Barcelona team, and learn more about its players, successes, and what life is like at the stadium for the team.

Things to See on the Camp Nou Tour

Virtual experience.

At the start of the tour you’ll be party to a 10-minute 3D extravaganza that places you, the visitor, in the much-coveted position of player.

The experience is supposed to give a sense of what it’s like for players when they’re on the pitch, with replays of famous matches and accompanying sound tracks to provide the full flavour.

One of the stop-offs of note is the in-house chapel, which was opened in 1958 and blessed by Pope John Paul II in the early 80s. Since then, it has provided a safe space for players to send up last minute prayers before they hit the field.

FC Barcelona Museum

Perhaps the most interesting element of the tour is the museum, which is home to wall-to-wall trophy cabinets, player bios, and historic photos of team successes. Here, you can delve into the narrative of FC Barcelona through a collection of fun, interactive displays and eye-catching wall displays.

Messi Space

Yes, there’s an entire space dedicated to the Argentinean superstar. You can marvel (or look on in puzzlement) at Leo Messi’s 5 Ballons d’Or and his 3 Golden Boots while watching a montage of his best goals that play out on the walls.

Not Just Football

Despite its undeniably football-focused ambiance, the stadium is also home to a collection of trophies from other Barcelona sports teams – a fun way to get an overview for the city’s entire sporting scene.

The Pressroom

Many a confession has been made and many a question been diverted in the stadium pressroom. This is where much of the post-match activity takes place, with players justifying their failures and bigging up their successes. You can sit in the same seats as the world’s best-loved players, or check things out from the press’ perspective.

Visitors’ Dressing Room

Unfortunately, you can’t wander into the FC Barcelona dressing room, because it’s constantly in use by the players who leave their stuff there on the regular. This is a shame, really, as apparently it’s decked out with a spa, treatment room, and pharmacy. Instead, you’ll have to make do with checking out the visitors’ dressing room, which has seen hundreds of global teams pass through its doors.

The Players’ Tunnel

This is where things really start to get good. If you shut your eyes (or keep them open and use your imagination), you can almost pretend you’re about to emerge on the pitch to play with one of the world’s most beloved teams.

The Mighty Playing Field

The tunnel inevitably leads to the field, which is pretty impressive up close. Here, you can look out over the 105m by 68m pitch and gaze up at the 48m high stands (squint hard enough and you can almost see the 100,000 passionate fans cheering and jeering). This is where the Benches are (or the “Dug Out” area), where you can sit in the same seats as the managers.

Commentary Boxes

Get your commentary on in these raised boxes that have seen hundreds of TV and radio stars work their fast-lipped magic.

While you’re wandering around, don’t forget to look out for Miro’s lithograph, which was made especially for the Barcelona football team, and the 5-star plaque that was awarded to the stadium in 1999.

Tickets and Prices

Ready to buy your Camp Nou Tour tickets? Here is all the price information you need to know.

The easiest way to buy tickets is online, because you can beat the queues at the stadium. Once you’ve booked, you’ll need to print out your confirmation and hand it in at the entrance of the stadium. You’ll need photographic ID to prove that you’re the person who bought the tickets. You don’t need to reserve a time or day when booking.

Camp Nou Opening Times

The stadium is open throughout the year apart from the 1st January and the 25th December.

You can take a tour between 10am and 6.30pm, with last admittance at 5.45pm.

On match days, only the museum is open to the public, including the trophy room and Messi Space, but you can also get a panoramic view of the pitch up to 3 hours before kick-off.

Note: It’s worth checking online to see if you’ll be able to access all areas before you make the journey to the stadium, as there are often unexpected changes to the schedule in training season and for miscellaneous events.

Audioguides

You can also pick up an audioguide at the start of the tour, which will offer additional information to the wall panels as you go around. Audioguides are available in a range of languages, and are self-paced so you can go with the flow.

Audioguide price: €5

Note: You’ll be asked for ID as a deposit when you pick up an audioguide, so it’s worth taking a driving license or a bank card so you don’t have to part with your passport.

Luxury Guide Service

If you really want to push the boat out, you can hire an experienced guide to take you around the stadium and offer you real-life anecdotes. Guides can deliver tours in a range of different languages and require a reservation and pre-payment. Guide price: €170 (not including the cost of entry tickets)

Alternatively, you can buy tickets at the stadium from the automatic ticket machines or from the on-site ticket offices. These are often subject to queues, so be prepared to wait around.
