The ‘Unfollow Me Tour’ kicks off on June 11th at San Antonio’s AT&T Center before continuing on to stops in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles and then wrapping up on July 23 at the American Airlines Center in Badu’s hometown of Dallas, Texas.

Along with Badu and Bey, the tour announcement also promises “more extraordinary guests”
The “high priestess of neo-soul” has played a smattering of theater and festival dates in recent years but hasn’t launched a full fledge tour since 2018.
More recently, Badu reunited with The Roots on their new track “Misunderstood” featuring fellow Philadelphian Tierra Whack, and made a surprise appearance on BTS’ member RM’s song “Yun,” which opened his critically acclaimed solo effort Indigo .
And speaking of The Roots, former Black Star member Bey will appear on Black Thought’s forthcoming solo record, Streams of Thought Vol. 4 .
The MC shared that the track will “represent a seismic shift in the game,” and has apparently been sitting on the track for a few years.

Erykah Badu is coming to a city near you. Today (April 19), the neo-soul legend announced the “Unfollow Me Tour,” which will feature Yasiin Bey as her special guest. Produced by Outback Presents, the 25-city trek begins in San Antonio on June 11 and will make stops in Denver, Boston, Philadelphia, and more before wrapping up on July 23 with a homecoming show in Dallas.
Badu’s last body of work was But You Caint Use My Phone , an 11-track mixtape that made landfall in 2015. The project debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 thanks to 35,000 album-equivalent units moved in its first week. Outside of her own releases, she has delivered rare features on more recent songs like “Yun” by RM, “Lowkey” by Teyana Taylor, “Afro Blue” by Robert Glasper, and more.
Although she hasn’t released new music in quite some time, her sister Koryan has faith that each show on the tour will have no trouble being packed out every night. “One thing I brag about all the time is that my sister is probably the only artist I know who easily sells out arenas despite not having put out an album in almost a decade,” she said in a previous interview with Vogue. “And to me this moment feels like her re-blossoming.”

Erykah Badu ‘s Unfollow Me Tour with yasiin bey begins this weekend. The 25-city experience is set to hit most major cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit, and of course, her hometown of Dallas.
Ahead of the tour’s kick off, VIBE caught up with the neo-soul pioneer for a very chill Zoom chat to get some insight on the once-in-a-lifetime event. Tag-teaming with her Soulquarian brethren was an clear choice because she knew he could support her “in a really cool way, in a natural way.”

However, the phrase has a dual meaning for the singer.
“I also say unfollow me because I’m lost too,” adds the unapologetic free spirit. “We all on an individual journey, we’re finding our way. So following me wouldn’t really benefit you because you are on your journey. That’s your cup you’re drinking out, this is mine. And I want to encourage people to do that too, and it’s a reminder to myself.”
Without giving too much away, the show will be a bit of a mystery. Badu loves for fans “to feel tickled and surprised and whimsical and like they’re at a circus or something,” and she confessed they can expect the concert to be “a cosmic journey.”
The Unfollow Me Tour commences on Sunday, June 11 in San Antonio and will conclude on July 23 in Dallas.

I have always wanted to see this queen live
she is not the queen of neo soul. It’s Jill Scott
Whitney is the queen of crack.
Nah Badu is the queen
Whitney was not on crack she is still Queen obviously
Neo soul artists Jaguar wright, Jill Scott, Lauren Hill, Amel Larrieux, Angie Stone , floetry, solonge . India irie, Ericka badu not the queen of neo soul. Jill Scott made it popular and wrote for Erica .
How did Jill Scott make it popular when artists like Erykah, D’Angelo and Maxwell were outselling before she even stepped on the scene? Baduizm outsold everything Jill ever did. No shade to her. Who Is Jill Scott Vol 1 is a classic but she isn’t the queen of neo soul.
D’Angelo and Maxwell are male for queen Erica music is not fully neo soul
Too many artists going on tour at once
It does seem that many artists are going out “on top” of each other. Consumers pockets are only so big, but I wish Badu, NE, Beyonce, Jill, and Janet success…
Wow there’s demand for an Erykah Badu arena tour? The woman had two good eras… Baduizm and The Bag Lady era. I couldn’t tell you what music she’s released since then….and that was the early 2000’s….
You have no idea what you’re talking about
Technically her last hit was “Window Seat” in 2010. She hasn’t released much since then. Erykah is very revered as one of the originators of the neo-soul genre. She’s still very relevant. Don’t forget that part.
She ain’t gon sho up for at least an hour. Sing 2-3 songs and she bounced. RUDE and non caring for her fans. I’m done.

The neo-soul singer just announced her huge summer arena ‘Unfollow Me Tour’ from June through July with special guest Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def joining her on all dates.
Along the way, Badu will bring her mega hits like “On and On,” “Didn’t Cha Know” and “Next Lifetime” to New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 8 and Newark’s Prudential Center on July 11.
And if you want tickets to see the four-time Grammy winner live this summer on the ‘Unfollow Me Tour,’ you can pick them up as early as today.
Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Thursday, April 20, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

In other news, Badu’s song ‘Caint Use My Phone (Suite)’ was featured in episode five of Donald Glover’s horror thriller series Swarm .
Last month, she also called out for those on the right-wing for racism in their criticism of the “woke” slogan .
When asked about the term being co-opted by the right wing, she responded: “I think they mean ‘Black.’ Yeah. That’s just another way to say ‘thug,’ or something else, right?”
The singer added: “It is what it is, it doesn’t belong to us anymore. And once something goes out into the world, it takes a life of its own. It has an energy of its own. I can tell you what ‘woke’ means. It means being aware, being in alignment with nature…”
The neo-soul singer’s most recent album was her 2015 mixtape ‘But You Caint Use My Phone’ .

Loveless Quietly Cancels Tour Following Resurfaced Domestic Abuse Allegations

Loveless , the alt-rock duo consisting of Julian Comeau and Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail, has quietly canceled its upcoming North American tour following recently resurfaced allegations of domestic violence against Comeau.

Popular on variety.
Many attributed the tour cancellation to claims on social media that Comeau was once charged with battery in an abusive relationship. On Aug. 12, a user on X (formerly Twitter) posted a thread detailing a domestic battery abuse case in Louisiana brought against Comeau in July 2018; it was reduced to simple battery in March 2019. According to court documents reviewed by Variety , Comeau was sentenced to six months inclusive of time already served as well as a year of probation. He was issued three separate bench warrants in the year that followed for failing to appear for monitoring, which were then recalled, and the probation was completed in March 2020 not long after Loveless’ formation.
In the wake of the allegations, reps for Loveless at Cardiff Giant Management, UTA and the band’s PR firm confirmed to Variety that they’re no longer affiliated with the group. Loveless’ label Rise Records, a subsidiary of BMG, also stated that Loveless is no longer on the imprint. “Rise Records/BMG has dissolved its partnership with Loveless, and the band will no longer be part of our roster,” shared the label in a statement.
Loveless is also no longer included on the website lineups for the upcoming Reading and Leeds festivals, which they were scheduled to play later this week.
Loveless was slated to put out its first album under Rise, “Loveless II,” on Sept. 13, though it’s unclear if it will still be released. Comeau and Tirapelli-Jamail are yet to make a statement about the tour cancellation or status of the band, but the latter removed any mention of Loveless from his social media profiles and unfollowed both Comeau and Loveless on socials, leading fans to believe that the group has disbanded. Additionally, Comeau has deactivated his X account, though his Instagram and TikTok profiles remain. Neither member responded to inquiries over social media.
The duo initially formed Loveless in 2019, releasing original music and gaining momentum through TikTok covers of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” and Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God).” They signed to Rise in early 2023, and dropped a handful of singles leading up to “Loveless II.”

Inside Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell’s Historic Mid-Century Home in Los Angeles
Emily may be in Paris, but Lily Collins is in the east side of Los Angeles. She lives in a mid-century house surrounded by sycamore trees in a part of town so quiet that a friend calls her in the middle of her Vogue photoshoot, alarmed at the number of cars parked outside. (“I was like, ‘Oh yeah, it’s a planned thing,’” she tells me, laughing, after she hangs up.) On Sundays, she and her husband, Charlie McDowell, like to go on long walks with their dog, Redford. Then, they’ll get some breakfast at one of their favorite spots, like Kumquat Coffee or Amara Kitchen. Charlie orders a breakfast burrito, Lily an avocado toast: “With some chili flakes? Call it a day!” she says. Afterwards, if they feel like it, they’ll browse a local flea market. Other times they just want to spend the whole day at home. “It is this safe, secluded oasis,” she says.
Lily and Charlie always knew this wasn’t just any house. The National Register of Historic Places plaque outside the door made sure of that: They live at a Case Study House, one of a handful of homes built as a rare residential experiment in the postwar era, where the top architects of the era were asked to build inexpensive model homes for the millions of soldiers returning from the front. (The most famous examples? The Stahl House in West Hollywood, as well as several properties by Ray and Charles Eames.) Yet, on a rainy day in 2021, when the newly engaged couple walked in the door for the first time and saw a roaring fireplace, they knew it was their house. “We looked at each other, and it was just this overwhelming emotional experience where we didn’t need to say more,” she says. They immediately put in an offer.
Together with interior designer Emily Farnham, they respectfully renovated the historic house while also making it their own. Lily hung a vintage 20th Century Fox sign from the old studio lot, which was a gift from her mother. Charlie hung a vintage clock, a gift from his mother’s best friend. Lily stacked their shelves with vintage children’s books, first-edition Steinbeck novels, and fashion monographs—“I’m a fashion-obsessed woman,” Lily says—while Charlie filled their living room with chairs. (The Collins-McDowell household, I must say, has a very strong chair game, from Hans Wegners to Finn Juhls. “Oh god, he’s going to love you for saying that,” Lily laughs.)
Both of them also embraced Scandinavian-inspired accents, whether the not one, but two Noma cookbooks that sit in the kitchen or the Marta Maas-Fjetterstrom mid-century rugs. According to Lily, the one thing that Charlie loves more than chairs is rugs—he’ll spend countless hours sorting through them on Instagram or auction house websites—and every time he does, she falls in love with him a little bit more. “A guy that loves to show me rug!” she says, putting her hand on her chest.
Lily describes the interior style as “mid-century California meets Scandinavian,” a philosophy that extends to the house’s surroundings, too: Outside you’ll find a garden inspired by Piet Oudolf, the designer who did the famed grounds at Noma. Eventually, the couple found themselves so fascinated with Nordic culture that they bought property in Copenhagen. “We designed this house before we really started putting roots down in Scandinavia,” she says. “It was almost ahead of our time, because we didn’t realize we’d actually be immersed in it years later.” As for that California vibe Lily mentioned? The couple re-installed concrete floors in the house, the choice of the original architect, and embraced warm earth tones. Outside their front entrance is a perfectly sculpted bonsai tree.
The house may be designed in the best of taste, but every detail is meaningful: Walking around with Lily, every piece I ask about has a story. There are dozens of earth-tone mugs, yet her favorite is a forest green Yeti rambler from her wedding . (It took place at Dunton Hot Springs in Colorado a few months after they moved in, and afterwards, they decided all they wanted to do was head straight back home. “Right after our wedding, we came back to this house and we got to come back to a place that felt like us as a couple already,” she says. “It was really, really special.”) Pointing to a plate on a wall, I learn it used to belong to Ingmar Bergman. A Winnie the Pooh book is not only a signed first edition, but a Christmas gift from Lily to Charlie. Then there are two funny old Danish figurines propped up in the corner, who, it turns out, have names: Postman Pat and Ronnie Wood. “They look like British old musicians,” Lily says, laughing. (She’s not wrong. One does remarkably look like Ronnie Wood.)
In December, Lily and Charlie decided to throw a holiday party. They decorated the house and played Christmas music, then laid out wine and cheese and all the festive snacks one could possibly imagine. And finally, for the first time, they lit a fire. Now, everyone could open the door and fall in love with the place the same way they did.
Lily wears Saint Laurent by Anthony Vacarello top, skirt, belt, and tights. Jimmy Choo shoes. Cartier jewelry.

Disney says man can’t sue for wrongful death, cites Disney+, parks tickets arbitration clauses
- Copy Link URL Copied!
Walt Disney Co. is asking a Florida state court to toss a wrongful-death lawsuit because the plaintiff agreed to terms and conditions mandating arbitration when he signed up for Disney+ and when he purchased park tickets .
The response comes after plaintiff Jeffrey Piccolo sued Disney in February, alleging that his wife died from a severe allergic reaction after dining at a restaurant at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
During a trip to the Disney Springs shopping complex in October 2023, Piccolo and his wife, Kanokporn Tangsuan , allegedly asked staff multiple times at the Raglan Road restaurant if the food Tangsuan ordered had dairy or nuts, which she was allergic to, according to the lawsuit. The couple were assured it did not, the lawsuit said.
Hollywood Inc.
At D23, even Disney’s biggest fans feel the pinch of high park prices
After a year of boardroom drama and box office disappointment, Disney seems to be rounding a corner. Fans at its biennial D23 convention feel the difference.
Aug. 13, 2024
But less than an hour after their meal, Tangsuan started having difficulty breathing and collapsed; she was taken to a hospital, where she later died, the lawsuit said.
However, Disney said Piccolo agreed to binding arbitration in “all disputes including those involving The Walt Disney Co. or its affiliates” when he signed up for a Disney+ account in November 2019, according to the company’s response filed in May.
The company said he agreed to those terms and conditions again when he purchased Disney World tickets on behalf of himself and his wife. Disney said the binding arbitration clause for the tickets applies to anyone he bought tickets for, according to the response.
In a response to Disney’s filing, Piccolo’s attorneys rebutted the company’s arguments, saying Disney had essentially waived its alleged right to arbitration when it participated in the lawsuit by requesting copies of documents.
Piccolo’s lawyers also said his wife’s estate, which did not exist at the time because she was still alive, was not a signatory to any alleged arbitration agreement, according to the filing, which entered into court record this month.
“A valid agreement to arbitrate does not exist because the arbitration clauses upon which [Walt Disney Parks and Resorts] rely are unconscionable,” the filing said.
Representatives for Piccolo did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
A Disney spokesperson said in a statement that the company was “deeply saddened by the family’s loss.”
“Given that this restaurant is neither owned nor operated by Disney, we are merely defending ourselves against the plaintiff’s attorney’s attempt to include us in their lawsuit against the restaurant,” the spokesperson said.
Piccolo is seeking at least $50,000 in damages, not including costs and post-judgment interest.
