Twenty One Pilots announces 'Clancy' concert tour, drops new single

Twenty One Pilots has announced a global world tour in anticipation of its upcoming album.

The Grammy Award-winning pop duo, known for songs like "Ride" and "Heathens," will kick off The Clancy World Tour in Colorado in August. The global trek will hit major American cities, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand through 2025.

The band, comprised of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, will release its new album "Clancy" on May 17. On Wednesday, the duo dropped the single "Next Semester," which will appear on its upcoming record.

With over 33 billion streams worldwide, Twenty One Pilots has become one of the most prevalent alternative-pop groups of the times. The band's 2015 album, "Blurryface," spawned the No. 1 alternative singles "Stressed Out" and "Ride" and went on to sell 5 million copies .

'One On One' will open 13th April with Paul's first ever appearance in Fresno, CA at the SaveMart Arena. On 15th April, Paul will play the Moda Center in Portland, OR, ending the near-11-year stretch since his last show in the Rose City on the US Tour in 2005. The 'One On One' tour will then proceed to Seattle, WA, for an April 17 evening at the Key Arena, a return engagement Seattle has been anxiously awaiting since the last notes of the encore featuring the living members of Nirvana that wrapped Paul’s sold out Safeco Field extravaganza in 2013. On 19th April, Paul will roll into the Rogers Arena in Vancouver BC, returning to Vancouver for the first time since the magical evening at the BC Place Stadium during the final week of his 'On The Run' tour in 2012. And on 30th April and 2nd May, Paul will visit two more U.S. cities for the very first time, appearing respectively at the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, AR, and the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

'One On One' will then travel to Dusseldorf, Germany on 28th May with Paul’s first appearance there since 1972. On Friday 10th June Paul will return to Munich, over ten years since his last visit. His final German date will take him back to Berlin for the first time since 2009 on 14th June.

'One On One' is the first new Paul McCartney tour since the juggernaut that was 'Out There' came to its stunning conclusion on 22nd October, 2015 with Paul’s first ever concert in Buffalo, NY. Jordan Spieth aces from 199 yards on No. 16 at Valero Texas Open

Jordan Spieth started slow at the Valero Texas Open, but his day shifted with one shot – with a brand-new 7-iron.

Spieth made a hole-in-one at the 199-yard, par-3 16th hole at TPC San Antonio, his fourth career ace on TOUR. His tee shot landed on the left side on the hole’s donut-shaped green – playing to a back-left hole location – the ball landing some 30 feet short and bouncing a few times before rolling into the center of the cup. The Texan shared high-fives with playing partners Hideki Matsuyama and Lucas Glover and their caddies before acknowledging the raucous fans. He followed the ace with a birdie-par finish for a 1-over 73; he’ll enter Friday one off the projected cut line.

Had he not changed 7-irons on Wednesday, Spieth believes, he wouldn’t have made the ace.

“I had to take some off of a 7-iron and so I lined up to hit like a 185 shot and hit a little fade with the wind that kind of was able to ride the slope then. I hit it and I picked up the tee because I did what I wanted to do,” Spieth said afterward.

“It's actually a brand new 7-iron this week, only the 7-iron. I like hitting my 7-iron and so I've got it to where, when I'm testing my gaps, it like goes 5 yards too far in the gap. I didn't know why. On Wednesday after the pro-am I was hitting on the back of the range; I had them just bring a brand new 7-iron for new grooves and it was up in the right spin window, so knocked 4, 5 yards off of it. If I didn't change 7-irons yesterday, then I wouldn't have made it. It's funny.”

Spieth stood 4-over through 15 holes Thursday, a less-than-promising start in his home state. He carded four bogeys against two birdies on the front nine, turning in 2-over 38. He rebounded from a bogey at No. 11 with a birdie at No. 12, but he fell back with a double bogey at the par-5 14th when he went OB off the tee.

Then he made magic on TPC San Antonio’s famed 16th, his first TOUR ace since the third round of the 2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard (No. 2 at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge), en route to a T4 finish.

Spieth had previously recorded holes-in-one at the 2013 Puerto Rico Open (finishing tied for second) and 2015 BMW Championship (T13). It’s a strong correlation of aces and high finishes – that he’ll look to continue this week.

“Seems like kind of like a bad blackjack run; you can't get up from the table, and maybe the hole-in-one turns it around a bit,” said Spieth, who missed the cut in his previous two starts, THE PLAYERS Championship and Valspar Championship.

“Like my game feels fine and I'm just not getting much out of it. So it's extremely frustrating because I drove the living piss out of the ball today and I picked the wrong line on 14 and it's the one drive I missed honestly like 5, 6 yards right of where I was looking and then I don't find it. I was like, ‘See, now my driving stats don't look the way they actually feel and I'm 4-over.’ I'm like, ‘This is not a hard track this afternoon, what in the world is going on?’

“I got a couple nice breaks late that maybe make me feel like the game's not as hard as it's been feeling.”

Powerball jackpot increases to $1.30 billion for Saturday's drawing - fourth largest ever

The billion-dollar Powerball jackpot keeps on climbing!

Originally estimated at $1.23 billion after Wednesday's drawing, the jackpot rose to an estimated $1.30 billion on Friday based on "strong ticket sales across the country, coupled with a boost in interest rates used to fund the annuitized prizes," according to the Powerball website . 

The cash option for Saturday night's drawing is estimated at $608.9 million.

It is the fourth largest Powerball jackpot ever and the eighth largest in U.S. lottery history (see lists below).

“As the jackpot swells, so does the probability of someone winning,” said Drew Svitko, Powerball Product Group Chair and Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director. “We expect to see more coverage of number combinations in Saturday’s drawing as more players buy tickets."

The jackpot was last won on Jan. 1 when a lottery player in Michigan won the $842.4 million jackpot.

Nine new millionaires, including NJ

The jackpot may not have been hit, but there are nine very happy lottery players out there.

Tickets sold in New Jersey, California (2), Georgia, Massachusetts (2), Maryland, South Carolina and Washington all matched the five white balls to win million-dollar prizes.

All of the tickets won $1 million, except for the California tickets since the state bases non-jackpot prizes on actual sales. Those two tickets won $1,622,808

New Jersey Powerball winners

The Jersey million-dollar ticket was sold at the Atco Deli on Jackson Road in Atco (Camden County), the New Jersey Lottery announced.

In addition there were eight tickets that match four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000 third-tier prizes, but one had the Power Play to triple it. Here is where they were sold:

Each player selects five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. However, you can also have the lottery machine generate a quick pick ticket with random numbers for you.

Lump sum or annuity?

The annuity option is paid out over time. There is an immediate payment and then 29 annual payments after that, increasing by 5% each year.

The cash option is significantly lower than the advertised jackpot, but it is paid in a lump sum. You don't have to wait decades for all the money.

Professor T star Frances de la Tour's life away from cameras: From famous brother to actor ex-husband

Frances shares two children with her ex-husband, playwright and actor tom kempinski.

Frances de la Tour reprises her role as Jasper's overbearing mother Adelaide Tempest in the brand new series of ITV's hit crime drama, Professor T . The three-time Olivier Award winner has been a regular fixture on our screens over the years thanks to her illustrious film career. 

Viewers will know Frances for her roles in The Lady in the Van, Enola Holmes, and of course for her portrayal of Madame Olympe Maxime in the Harry Potter  film series. But what about her life away from the cameras? Here's all you need to know, from her famous brother to her actor ex-husband…

Frances de la Tour's early life and famous brother

Frances was born on 30 July 1944 in Hertfordshire to parents Moyra and Charles de la Tour. 

After studying at Drama Centre London, Frances joined the Royal Shakespeare Company and subsequently landed roles in a variety of plays. What followed was an impressive stage career, with Frances starring in many major productions, including in Edward Albee's Three Tall Women alongside Maggie Smith, and The History Boys at the Royal National Thetare and later on Broadway. 

As for her on-screen credits, Frances is perhaps best known for her role in the 70s' show Rising Damp , as well as for playing Emma Porlock in the drama series Cold Lazarus , headmistress Margaret Baron in BBC sitcom Big School  and Violet Crosby in the ITV comedy Vicious.

While Frances, now 79, grew up to be a film star, she's not the only famous face in her family. Her brother is actor and screenwriter Andy de la Tour. He's perhaps best known for appearing in Notting Hill,  and Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist.

As a television writer, his credits include Lovejoy, Boon, Peak Practice, The Vet,  and  Kavanagh QC. He's married to BAFTA-winning actress Susan Wooldridge, who is known for her roles in Hope and Glory, and  All Quiet on the Preston Front. 

Frances' home life and famous ex-husband 

Frances was previously married to playwright and actor Tom Kempinski, who passed away in August 2023. He's best known for his 1980 play Duet for One , for which Frances won the Olivier for Best Actress. It was later turned into a film starring Julie Andrews and Alan Bates. 

Frances and Tom were together for ten years until 1982, during which time they welcomed two children, Josh and Tamasin. 

Frances is fairly private about her personal life, and so it's not known whether she's currently in a relationship.

After canceling seven dates of her first North American tour in five years amid weak ticket sales, Jennifer Lopez has renamed it to apparently broaden its scope, changing it from “This Is Me… Now” to “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits.”

Requests for comment from Lopez’s reps and Live Nation, which is producing the tour, went unanswered. Live Nation’s site hasn’t been updated to reflect the tour’s name change, but it does have conflicting titles on Lopez’s listings, including “This Is Me… Live” and “This Is Me… Now The Tour.” While some venues hosting Lopez’s performances haven’t changed the original listings on their respective sites, there are a few instances confirming the rebrand, for shows at Palm Springs’ Acrisure Arena and Inglewood’s The Forum . A sponsored Facebook ad from Lopez also features a graphic with the new title.

Upon release in February, “This Is Me… Now” struggled to find an audience, selling 14,000 copies in its first week. While the album did debut atop the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart due to 11,000 in physical sales, it arrived at No. 38 on the Billboard 200, becoming the second of her nine studio albums to bow outside the top 10.

The album was one part of a self-financed $20 million multimedia project including the tour and the two films, “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” and a documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.” Variety described the endeavor as an examination of “Lopez’s life as a serial romantic” following her romantic rekindling with actor Ben Affleck, who she married in 2022 after nearly two decades apart.

Sean Paul helped bring dancehall to the masses. With a new tour, he's ready to do it all over again

LOS ANGELES — (AP) — It has been 21 years since Sean Paul's dancehall anthem "Get Busy" topped the Billboard Hot 100 — which means "Get Busy" is finally old enough to hear "Get Busy" at the club.

“It's changed for me now," Sean Paul told The Associated Press over Zoom from his studio in Jamaica, reflecting on the song's legacy. “Because when I say, ‘Get busy,’ I'm telling the kids to do their homework or clean stuff up.”

In the years since Paul helped introduce dancehall riddims and reggae to new audiences, he's released six ambitious albums, including two straight out of the coronavirus pandemic: 2021's "Live n Livin" and 2022's "Scorcha." He's become a father and a devoted husband. (The "Jodi" in the "Get Busy" lyric "Shake dat ting, yo, Donna Donna / Jodi and Rebecca"? That's his wife.) And his ambition to make joyful, danceable music has never wavered.

“It's a timeless piece for me,” he says of “Get Busy.” “Every time I try to do a song, I try to put the same butterflies that I had in my belly when I was flirting with the first girl on the first dance floor I went to. It's just a feeling.”

That translates to his goal of bringing positivity to the masses.

“I have a lot of help with the riddim tracks, the genre itself is very infectious,” he says. “It gives you joy.”

His dedication comes from life experience.

“I had a lot of problems, as most teenagers do, trying to find themselves, trying to understand what life’s about. You know, my father was in prison. It was a single mom situation, and she was struggling to make sure that we were conscious beings,” he says.

Music was the release.

Now, he's taking that energy on a 22-date U.S. run dubbed the “Greatest Tour,” kicking off May 2 at House of Blues in Orlando, Florida, and ending June 16 at the Fillmore in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Why am I doing it now? I feel that the people are ready for me again,” Paul says.

"I did some work with some reggaetón acts last year," he adds, referencing new dancefloor hits, including the massive "Niña Bonita" with Feid and "Dem Time Deh" with Columbian singer Manuel Turizo .

He's also released a few solo singles, including the infectious “Greatest,” and promises more conscious songs in the future — thematically not unlike 2016's “Never Give Up.”

"There's a lot of struggles here in Jamaica as well as it being, you know, a very beautiful place. But we do have our struggles that we have to deal with," he says. "A lot of people don't know me for that type of material, but, you know, it's as important in my career."

At his shows, fans will get a little taste of everything. But “good vibes,” mostly, he says: “I think people feel the fun from me and it bounces back and forth."

New Home Tour

Hi friend! I’m so excited to welcome you into our new home!  The ‘pinch me’ factor is still very much alive and I’m so grateful to call this place home. ♥

Today, I’m taking you room by room via my camera roll.  I snapped these pics right before we moved in. Don’t you just love when everything is still all fresh and new?!

NEW HOME TOUR

Paint colors.

Let’s start with paint colors because that’s always a frequently asked question, so I want to put that right at the top of this post.

Wall color is SW Alabaster (flat)

Trim color is SW Pure White (satin)

Cabinets are Magnetic Grey (eggshell)

I’m concerned about the white flat paint in the bathrooms and kids rooms, but we’ll see how it goes.  I researched the heck out of paint finishes and I know magic eraser can help clean flat walls and they’re easier to touch up.

I was already able to clean some scuffs from the move, so hopefully it’s okay. I’d love to hear your experience with flat paint if you have it in your home.

It’s the heart of the home and one of the first things I fell in love with when I walked inside.  This kitchen isn’t what I would have even thought to design, but I’m smitten with every detail!

I’ll forever be a fan of all white kitchens, but I love the combination of muted blue/green grey cabinets with the light wood, white quartz counters and the contrasting black counters in this kitchen.

All of the design elements go together perfectly, along with the light fixtures and wood floors.

This is a true chef’s kitchen with Wolf Sub-Zero appliances, fancier than anything I’d need since I’m no chef!  Having a pot filler at the stove will be very handy though! The refrigerator and dishwasher have cabinet fronts that gives the kitchen a streamlined look.

I do enjoy the soft-close drawers and under cabinet lighting.  And that back part takes the place of the wet bar I had in my old house.  There’s a wine fridge, ice maker, sink and additional storage there.

Plus, I’m so excited to decorate that open shelving!

There’s a large walk-in pantry with a wooden shelf, pull out drawers and a ladder since I’d never be able to reach those tall shelves!  I think they’re 11 feet tall??

I’m so excited for all the natural light this home has and I love how the windows are framed. All of the light fixtures are from M&M Lighting .

The living room is smaller than our old house, but I think it will be cozy! There’s a wall mount for the TV and it lowers so you can watch your shows at eye level.

I like that there’s still storage in the cabinets and I’ve never had a fireplace before.  That will be awesome in the winter!

The sliding barn door is on gold hardware and leads to a mudroom with tall cabinets and lots of additional storage.

The half bath downstairs is finished with the grasscloth wallpaper I’ve always admired, gorgeous lighting, a wall mounted sink with gold legs and eye catching tile.

I’m crazy for all the light fixtures they chose, I couldn’t have picked better!

I’m sure this space was meant as a game room, but it’s now my office!  It’s nice and big and the natural light is amazing!  Plus, those vaulted ceilings!

LAUNDRY ROOM

This will be a bigger laundry room than I’ll ever need, but I’ll take it!  There’s tons of extra storage in here too.  I ended up swapping out the washer and dryer you see here for the ones at my old house since they are brand new and on pedestals.

LINEN CLOSET

There’s a tall linen closet with adjustable shelves in the hallway.  I’ve paired way down on our extra blankets and throw pillows, so this is plenty of space for us.

All of the details in the house from the doors to the door hardware, I’m smitten with.

I’ve also already come to enjoy the Nest thermostat .  It’s pretty and works really well!

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS

The house has five bedrooms, one on the first floor and four upstairs.

This bedroom has it’s own bathroom and I’m crazy for the tile they chose and the finishes. It’s hard to tell from the photos, but the tile and mirror frame are navy blue, not black.

The other two upstairs bathrooms share this Jack & Jill bath.  How cool is that tile floor and double sink?!

PRIMARY BEDROOM

This room is actually larger than my old bedroom, minus the sitting room.  It also feels larger because of the raised ceilings.  Those planks are mimicked in the dining room and stairwell to tie it all together.

PRIMARY BATHROOM

The bathroom finishes are gorgeous too, everything from the dual head shower to the double vanities.  There’s also an extra vanity for me to do my makeup at.

PRIMARY CLOSET

This closet is about the same size as my old closet, but doesn’t have a center island.  It does have taller clothing racks and shelves, plus the pull down shelves (but I can’t even reach those handles).  When Rhonda walked in, she said she didn’t think there was gonna be any room left for Brian! ha!

Y’all, I honestly still cannot believe we live here and this is our house.  I don’t mean to be dramatic, it’s just more than I ever dreamed of and I’m so grateful.  I still remember living in tiny apartments as a kid and sharing a room with my brother.  Good memories were born out of those hard times and I look back on them with fondness.  My parents worked so hard to give us the best of what they could.

I love that my own kids and mom will get to enjoy this house for years to come.  It’s not just the beautiful parts, but the love we’ll pour into it that makes it special.

James and Jordan are thrilled with their rooms and I’m starting to get comfortable with where everything is and how everything works.

You know how things are different from home to home like the way the microwave works, the thermostat, the shower, and which light switch operates which lights.  I’m still surprised every time I walk into my closet and the light turns on automatically!  That’s a fun feature!

I’m so thankful for your genuine happiness for our family and that’s why I wanted to get this new home tour up as soon as possible to share with you.  I shared a video tour on Instagram , but I know some of you don’t have that.

I’m still trying to find out more details like what kind/color of wood floors these are and any other details y’all are interested in.  Let me know in comments and I can research!  I’m really excited to take you along as I decorate each room!

What an absolutely beautiful home! As far as the flat paint on the walls…I honestly can’t believe the builder chose a flat finish. You will most certainly want to changes that down the line. It’s terrible for wear and tear and anything and everything will scuff it terribly.

This is a beautiful home. I’m so happy for you. We bought a new home 5 years ago and didn’t know it had flat paint. It’s horrible. Just moving in we got scuff marks everywhere.

Gorgeous! I cannot wait to see it decorated and with all your furniture. 5 bedrooms is pretty amazing too! Plenty of room for any expansions haha. As for flat paint. Alabaster is beautiful and you will love that nice creamy color as you decorate. But for us, we’ve had two new homes with flat paint. We needed to paint within a year. I recommend eggshell for colored walls but satin for white or very light color walls. So happy for you!

I think it depends if they used a good quality paint. Our builder used a top notch paint and it has worn well for 17 years with kids and pets. We have built 4 custom homes and our preference is flat on the walls and gloss on the trim I just love the contrast and the no sheen on the walls. We use SW’s highest quality paint. Current walls are going strong and look amazing. We have 6 boys and obviously have had to scrub those walls at times. I think you’ll love the modern, flat look.

We are painting our house and the top contender is alabaster! We also have floors that look very similar to yours. Core Tech LVP in Ivory Coast Oak. This was so helpful. It looks warm in the pictures. Does it ever feel too stark to have alabaster everywhere?

Hi Gerri! I’m not sure, I’ll try to see if I can find it on the mount. I’ll have a living room tour coming up on Thursday, so I’ll try to include that info in there. It’s super handy because the tv pulls down easily to eye level and it can also swivel.

Would you pay £150 for tea and a tour at Balmoral?

New private tours will allow paying visitors to see inside parts of the Royal Family's Balmoral Castle for the first time.

The guided tours will run from 1 July to 4 August, before King Charles and Queen Camilla arrive for their summer break in Aberdeenshire.

A ticket costs £100 or £150 with the addition of afternoon tea.

The Balmoral Castle website states the private interior room tours are the first since the castle was completed in the 1850s.

The castle is in the heart of Royal Deeside.

It was Queen Elizabeth's beloved Scottish holiday home for decades.

The UK's longest-serving monarch died at Balmoral, aged 96, in September 2022, after reigning for 70 years.

Promoting the new tours, the castle website states: "For the first time since the castle was completed in 1855, we have been granted permission to take you on a private tour with our experienced guides.

"They will take you on a historical journey through several of the beautiful rooms within Balmoral Castle."

It adds: "You will learn about the origins of the Castle and how it has been loved by generations of the Royal Family.

"Travel through time from the purchase of the Balmoral by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, through to present day, where you can see how rooms within the Castle are used today by their Majesty’s The King and Queen and other members of the Royal Family."

It adds: "You will see why Balmoral is such a special place - the much loved and celebrated Highland home of the Royal Family."

Each pre-booked tour group is restricted to 10 people.

However photography is not allowed within Balmoral Castle and its ballroom.

Meanwhile, guided tours of the East Wing at Buckingham Palace will be available to visitors in July and August.

The tour will also include the palace’s famous central balcony, where the Royal Family have gathered for public appearances since 1851.
