The PGA Tour's fall schedule is pretty much set.

Believe it or not, the PGA Tour only has five more weeks before the start of the playoffs and then three more weeks before the end of the 2024 FedEx Cup season.

And while the 2025 season no longer begins in September, golf fans still have plenty to look forward to with the second playing of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall series.

The FedEx Cup Fall underwent a rebrand and revamp last year in the wake of Ponte Vedra’s decision to shift back to a calendar-based schedule model. Gone was the fall season counting toward next season’s FedEx Cup point total , but it still meant something: Tour cards.

PGA Tour players

Which notable PGA Tour players could lose their cards this fall? It’s complicated

Under the new model, FedEx Cup points from the previous season now carry over to the fall and anyone outside the Top 70 must get within the Top 125 of the standings in order to retain full member status on the PGA Tour for the next season.

The fall series events also award 10 positions in the first two Signature events of the season (the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis in 2024) through the Aon Next 10 list.

While no official schedule has been released, each of the seven official events from the 2023 debut is returning for 2024, as well as the addition of one brand new PGA Tour event, the Black Desert Championship in Utah. There will also be three unofficial events before the year closes out, including the Presidents Cup in September.

Keep reading below for everything we know about the PGA Tour’s Fall 2024 schedule.

General Election 2024 latest: Sir Keir Starmer vows to 'deliver for Scotland' as he kicks off UK tour

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has promised to “deliver for Scotland” on a visit to Edinburgh.

He said the days of division were over and that he would work to improve services north of the border.

Starmer said: “I can’t tell you how important it is to be here in Scotland. That was an historic election result and mandate for change.

“We say thank you to every single person in Scotland who has voted Labour... we will serve every person in Scotland.”

In a flurry of calls the new Prime Minister has also been talking to world leaders.

He stressed the "urgent need for a ceasefire" in his first telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The call centred on the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the worsening humanitarian situation in the region.

Mr Starmer emphasised his government's commitment to finding a peaceful resolution, while also discussing the importance of securing the release of hostages and increasing aid to Gaza.

A Downing Street spokesperson described the exchange as "frank and constructive".

Mr Starmer is also travelling to Edinburgh today to discuss ways of improving the working relationship with the Scottish Government.

The new Prime Minister said Scotland would be his first stop in a tour of the UK nations, and he would meet First Minister John Swinney.

On Tuesday he will meet with mayors from across the country, before jetting off to Washington DC for a summit marking the 75th anniversary of Nato.

The Standard is bringing you all the major developments on Sir Keir’s first weekend as PM...

Starmer: 'Work underway to build bridges with Europe

Sir Keir Starmer said work has already begun to build closer ties with the European Union following Labour’s landslide election win.

The Prime Minister said he wanted better trading and security relationships with Brussels as he vowed to rip up the “botched” deal struck by Boris Johnson.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy has already travelled to Europe for talks with key players, with a promise that the UK would be a “good neighbour” after the years of Brexit acrimony.

Speaking to reporters in Edinburgh, Sir Keir said: “We intend to improve our relationship with the EU and that means closer trading ties with the EU, it means closer ties in relation to research and development and closer ties in relation to defence and security.

“Obviously, there are many discussions to be had and negotiations to be had.

“But I do think that we can get a much better deal than the botched deal that Boris Johnson saddled the UK with.”

Home secretary announces new UK Border Security command to tackle small boat crisis

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has set out the first steps to establishing a new UK Border Security Command to tackle the people-smuggling gangs bringing migrants across the Channel in small boats.

Recruitment of a border security commander, who will report directly to the Home Secretary, will begin on Monday, with the new recruit expected to take up their post in the coming weeks, the Home Office said.

The commander will be a “leader used to working in complex and challenging environments, for example at senior levels of policing, intelligence or the military” who will provide strategic direction to work across agencies, drawing together the work of the National Crime Agency, intelligence agencies, police, Immigration Enforcement and Border Force, to protect the country’s borders and go after the smuggling gangs facilitating small boat crossings, the department added.

Defence secretary announces new package of support for Ukraine

Defence Secretary John Healey has said the UK will provide a new package of support to Ukraine, including more artillery guns and nearly 100 Brimstone missiles.

The Ministry of Defence said Mr Healey has also directed officials to ensure military support committed for Ukraine in April by the last government should be delivered in full within the next 100 days.

Mr Healey, who visited Odesa, said: “As the new Defence Secretary, I will ensure that we reinvigorate Britain’s support by stepping up supplies of vital military aid.

“Our commitment to stand with the Ukrainian people is absolute, as is our resolve to confront Russian aggression and pursue Putin for his war crimes.

“This Government is steadfast in our commitment to continue supplying military assistance and will stand shoulder to shoulder with our Ukrainian friends for as long as it takes.”

Starmer arrives in Edinburgh promising "we will deliver for Scotland"

Keir Starmer has appeared in Edinburgh congratulating the country’s 37 new Labour MPs and promising to “deliver for Scotland”.

The Prime Minister said: “I can’t tell you how important it is to be here in Scotland. That was an historic election result and mandate for change.

“We say thank you to every single person in Scotland who has voted Labour... we will serve every person in Scotland,

The leader of Labour in Scotland alongside him said the party would fight for “hard work and humility ... hard work for change.”

Casement Park in Belfast 'will be built' NI secretary Hilary Benn says

Casement Park in Belfast will be built “one way or another”, new Northern Ireland Secretary Hilary Benn has pledged.

However, Mr Benn said it was not clear if the long-delayed redevelopment of the GAA stadium could be completed in time to host matches at the 2028 European Football Championships.

On his first visit to Northern Ireland since his appointment in Sir Keir Starmer’s Cabinet, Mr Benn said Casement Park was “probably the most urgent issue” on his desk.

There has been mounting speculation that the stadium is set to be axed as a venue for the Euros 2028.

The derelict west Belfast ground has been earmarked to play host to five matches in the showpiece tournament being hosted in the UK and Ireland.

However, the funding required to build the stadium in time for the tournament is still not in place, prompting concerns that the delays will see Belfast missing out on the tournament.

David Lammy meets Polish counterpart

Britain's new Foreign Secretary David Lammy held talks with his Polish counterpart on Sunday as part of his first international trip seeking to tighten British relations with the European Union and stress support for Ukraine in its war against Russia.

Lammy said he was visiting Britain's "key partners" in Europe — Poland, Germany and Sweden, all NATO members — for cooperation and security talks.

He said that Britain's military, economic, political and diplomatic support for Ukraine will remain unwavering, while it wants a "reset" with Europe in the areas of climate protection, energy and migration.

More calls with foreign leaders

Sir Keir Starmer has spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

He told president Abbas that recognition of Palestine as part of the peace process was the "undeniable right of Palestinians".

In a readout of the call with Mr Netanyahu, Downing Street said: "The leaders discussed the importance of regional security in the Middle East, and the Prime Minister said he was committed to continuing the UK and Israel's vital co-operation to deter malign threats. The Prime Minister said the situation on the northern border of Israel was very concerning, and it was crucial all parties acted with caution.

Sir Keir Starmer has had a busy time on the phone and has also spoken to South Africa's president Cyril Ramaphosa and United Arab Emirates' president Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al-Nahyan.

'Reform could work with Green party' says Tice

Starmer holds discussions with palestinian president on gaza conflict.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has held discussions with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, focusing on immediate priorities for the Gaza conflict.

During their Sunday meeting, Starmer said his goals were securing a ceasefire, ensuring the safe return of hostages and increasing humanitarian aid to the region.

A Downing Street spokeswoman said: "The Prime Minister updated President Abbas on his immediate priorities, including securing a ceasefire, the return of hostages, an increase and acceleration in humanitarian aid, and financial support for the Palestinian Authority."

They added: "Discussing the importance of reform, and ensuring international legitimacy for Palestine, the Prime Minister said that his longstanding policy on recognition to contribute to a peace process had not changed, and it was the undeniable right of Palestinians."

Over in France...

French President Emmanuel Macron voted in high-stakes legislative elections Sunday that could force him to share power with the rising far right.

Macron called the surprise vote after the anti-immigration, nationalist National Rally made huge gains in the June 9 European elections, taking a huge gamble that French voters would block the far-right party as they always have in the past.

But the National Rally instead won a larger share than ever in the first round on June 30, and its leader Marine Le Pen called on voters to give the party an absolute majority in Round 2.

Sunday's vote determines which party controls the National Assembly and who will be prime minister. If no party wins an absolute majority, forming a government comes only after extensive negotiations.

‘we don’t have a climber like sepp kuss’: visma-lease a bike missing its kryptonite at tour de france, vingegaard right-hand man jorgenson rues his 'bad day’ as team plan to minimise pogačar explosivity on galibier falls flat..

Don't miss a moment of the 2024 Tour de France! Get recaps, insights, and exclusive takes with Velo's daily newsletter. >","name":"in-content-cta","type":"link"}}'>Sign up today! .

VALLOIRE, France (Velo) – Visma-Lease a Bike ’s seven grand tour wins have been based around the strength of their team – and having Sepp Kuss supporting their leaders in the thick of the action.

Think of the mob-handed Col du Granon masterplan in the 2022 Tour de France , Primoz Roglič and Jonas Vingegaard taking Pogacar over his head before the finale, or their 2023 Vuelta a España evisceration.

Not for nothing is the squad’s motto the Dutch phrase samen winnen – winning together, the concept that nobody is above the unit, that the hive’s hard work and cohesion will make the difference.

However, on stage 4 of the Tour de France, the Dutch “Killer Bees” were more like harmless flies. Rivals Team UAE Emirates swarmed at the front of the race and Tadej Pogačar moved into the ascendancy , eking out a 45-second lead.

Wilco Kelderman, suffering from a crash on the race’s opening day, and Jan Tratnik drifted back on the Lautaret, while American Matteo Jorgenson was last man standing for his leader Vingegaard.

He supported the Dane until dropping back 4 kilometers from the summit of the mighty Col du Galibier. At that point, Pogačar still had Juan Ayuso and João Almeida alongside him, racing with intent and testing the “level of every team” .

Asked how he judged the team performance post-race by media, Visma-Lease a Bike coach Grischa Niermann said: “Today, we saw that we miss an in-form Sepp Kuss in this race.

“But we knew that when we had to take the decision he’s not coming, because we don’t have a climber like Sepp next to Jonas on the team,” Niermann said.

An absentee after failing to recover from a COVID-19 infection, mainstay Kuss has been a team member on all of the team’s seven grand tour wins, pace-setting and supporting Vingegaard and Roglič over the years.

“I think Matteo, maybe he expected a bit more [from] himself, but in the end, he finished with the group going for ninth place,” Niermann said. “He was up there and there were other guys also getting dropped.”

Jorgenson’s bad day

Matteo Jorgenson

A new signing to the team in 2024, 25-year-old Jorgenson has stepped up to be Vingegaard’s right-hand man at the Tour.

“It was a learning experience, I guess,” Jorgenson told Eurosport and assembled media afterwards. “It was not the best day for us.”

“I don’t think the numbers were anything ridiculous. When I was looking at my power meter, I wasn’t like ‘wow, I can’t hold this pace,’ I was more within my limits. I just wasn’t on that great of a day.

“Generally, Jonas could probably have used a higher pace to reduce the explosivity of Pogačar. That’s kind of my bad for not being there to be able to do it,” he added.

He explained that the Visma-Lease a Bike team wanted to set a harder tempo on the Galibier, but didn’t have the numbers to do it after the Col du Lautaret precursor.

Sporting a bandage on his right elbow after his fall on stage 2 into Bologna , Jorgenson rued that he didn’t have his best legs: “It’s just two days after the crash, I had a bit of a bad day. But in general, we did our best as a team.”

“I lost two and a half minutes or something on Pogačar, so it’s not great. And I also wasn’t there when Jonas needed me. Hopefully it gets better.”

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Team Visma | Lease a Bike (@teamvisma_leaseabike)

Minutes before Jorgenson spoke, his team leader Vingegaard, 50 seconds behind his Slovenian adversary on GC, told media that his time will come .

Jorgenson has won Paris-Nice and finished second at the Critérium du Dauphiné in a breakout year, but it seems that the pre-race possibility of him challenging for GC as Plan B will surely go to the back burner.

After stage 4, the Idahoan is positioned 11th overall, 3:21 behind race leader Pogačar after finishing in a seven-strong group which included Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates) and the Ineos Grenadiers pair of Geraint Thomas and Egan Bernal.

Rick Wakeman Adds More Dates to Final One-Man U.S. Tour

Rick Wakeman is extending his final one-man U.S. tour, with shows now set for October and November. The first leg was back in March . A complete list of new dates and venues can be found below.

“The plan is not to perform at the same venue twice throughout this period,” Wakeman said in a news release, “so whatever venue you are hopefully thinking of coming to, it will be the last performance there – and I am taking this opportunity of thanking everyone and anyone who has supported me over the last 53 years!”

Outside of a tenure in Yes that included the career-making Fragile and Close to the Edge albums, Wakeman’s solo career has been marked by sweeping concept albums like The Six Wives of Henry VIII , Journey to the Centre of the Earth , and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table . He’s also worked as a first-call sideman with David Bowie , Lou Reed , Al Stewart and others.

Going forward, Wakeman says he’s going to focus on composing, recording and collaborating with other musicians rather than touring. “I have thoroughly enjoyed performing the various one-man shows, but it’s time to call it a day,” Wakeman added. “I intend to throw in the best of what I have done in the past, plus a few new surprises on the way, and possibly even the odd guest joining me on the odd occasion.”

These farewell concerts have been highlighted by the premiere of “Yessonata,” a 30-minute instrumental featuring Yes themes and melodies that Wakeman presents as a sonata. “Yessonata” is available to purchase on vinyl at the shows.

The Israeli Defense Forces demolished six terror tunnels spanning nearly 4 miles underneath Gaza City on Tuesday, including one that served as the “flagship” tunnel for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad extremist group, officials said.

The Israeli military detonated the vast tunnel network in the Shejaiya neighborhood, dismantling a large portion of the underground network used by Hamas and other terror groups in northern Gaza — including several booby-trapped buildings, officials said.

The operation also saw Israeli troops take out more than 150 Hamas fighters hiding in and around the tunnels, with intelligence officers also locating a trove of documents and weapons.

The IDF took out 3.7 miles of the underground tunnel network in Gaza City on Tuesday.

“In some of the branches, terrorist hideouts and command and control centers were located. In one of the tunnels, weapons and intelligence documents were located,” the Israeli military said.

One of the branching tunnels the IDF’s 98th Division troops found was operated by Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a Hamas ally that also helped carry out the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel which left 1,200 people dead.

The Islamic Jihad tunnel was described as the group’s “flagship” tunnel in Gaza City, spanning about 1.5 miles in length. It was also used by the terror group as a command base, military officials told The Times of Israel.

Other branching tunnels were located in the heart of the Shejaiya neighborhood, with at least two reaching close to the Israeli border just across from Nahal Oz, one of the kibbutzim decimated on Oct. 7, the Israeli military said.

Palestinian refugees look over a body killed by an Israeli airstrike near the Al Nuseirat camp.

Despite their proximity to Israel, officials don’t believe those tunnels were used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad during the terrorist attack.

After demolishing the six tunnels on Tuesday, military officials told the Times that at least three more tunnels have been located in the area and are being scheduled for demolition.

The operation in Shejaiya comes amid the IDF’s renewed fight in Gaza City after Hamas fighters returned to the area after exiting in December. The group also returned there in April.

The IDF has re-issued an evacuation order for most of Gaza City.

The IDF said Monday that it was launching a new operation in the southern and western neighborhoods of Gaza City — which was the most populous city in the Gaza Strip before the war — after discovering Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives have regrouped there.

The Israeli military has once again issued an evacuation warning to cover most of Gaza City.

The call to evacuate the area garnered renewed outrage from the United Nations and Humanitarian groups after the Palestinian Red Crescent revealed that due to the order, all of its medical clinics were out of service in Gaza City.

The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said that 38,000 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning the way. The ministry does not differentiate between terrorists and civilians in its death toll.

The IDF took out 3.7 miles of the underground tunnel network in Gaza City on Tuesday.

Motorcyclist dies of suspected heat exposure in Death Valley amid record-setting temperatures

A motorcyclist died of suspected heat exposure and another was hospitalized for severe heat illness Saturday amid record temperatures at Death Valley National Park in California, park officials said.

The motorcyclist who died was not identified or described by age or gender, and the condition for the patient who was hospitalized was unavailable.

The Inyo County Coroner Office did not immediately respond to a request for information.

Four others in the same group of riders were treated at the scene for "heat stress," National Park Service Ranger Nichole L. Andler said by email Sunday.

The park service said in a statement Sunday that the six were riding near Badwater Basin, an area of salt flats in the park that includes the lowest point in North America.

The area is south of the Furnace Creek Visitor's Center, where the National Weather Service recorded a high temperature of 128 degrees late Saturday afternoon, a reading 1 degree above the previous high for July 6, set in 2007.

Science was not working in the riders' favor, the park service indicated. The temperatures were well above the 99-degree line, over which ambient air provides little cooling to humans, it said.

Motorcyclists often wear thick, heavy protective gear, making cooling even more difficult. And helicopters serving as air ambulances that can more quickly traverse the Mojave Desert's expanse are often grounded when liftoff becomes difficult in warmer air, which spreads molecules that favor wider wings or blades and herculean thrust.

“High heat like this can pose real threats to your health,” park Superintendent Mike Reynolds said in Sunday's statement. “While this is a very exciting time to experience potential world record setting temperatures in Death Valley, we encourage visitors to choose their activities carefully."

The park, under an "extreme summer heat" alert, advises visitors to avoid hiking after 10 a.m. and to be prepared for life-threatening heat by being vigilant about clothing, shade and water intake. The park service also warns that cellphone reception is often nonexistent in Death Valley.

The National Weather Service had forecast record heat for Death Valley, nearly through midweek, as it roasts under a high pressure dome that's heating up much of the West.

Travis kelce proudly riles up swifties as he leaves eras tour with taylor swift in amsterdam.

He’ll have her blushing all the way home.

Travis Kelce riled up Swifties again Saturday night by encouraging them to cheer for Taylor Swift as she exited the stage following her third and final Eras Tour show in Amsterdam.

In video captured by a concertgoer , Swift could be seen smiling and waving at the cheering crowd before grabbing the Kansas City Chiefs star’s hand.

Their pals Brittany and Patrick Mahomes also attended the Saturday night show .

They were seen in the stands swaying to the music and embracing each other during the concert.

Brittany also spent time with her friend, Miranda Hogue, and sparkled in a glittering pajama set from Prada.

Kelce was also spotted at the Eras Tour Friday night and sweetly kissed the singer’s head as they exited the Johan Cruijff Arena.

He encouraged the audience to continue cheering for her as they walked off holding hands.

Swifties have been keeping an extra vigilant eye on Kelce, 34, after he joined the “Karma” hitmaker, also 34, on stage during her  third Eras Tour performance at Wembley Stadium  in London last month.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

The NFL tight end surprised fans by joining the transition skit ahead of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” which involves some of Swift’s backup dancers forcing her to get ready to perform despite her protest.

He even sweetly carried her to a red couch during the bit — which he reflected on during Wednesday’s episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.

“I was up there with three professionals. You can do no wrong with Taylor on stage,” he noted. “[I kept telling myself], ‘Do not drop the baby. Hold onto the baby.'”

He also admitted the cameo was his idea, with him originally suggesting he should ride a bike on stage during the “1989” era with the other dancers.

“She found the perfect part of the show to put me in. … It was, like, the safest option,” he added.

Travis even teased that fans would likely see more of him on stage. “Who knows, might not be the last time. You guys will have to keep showing up to the Eras Tour to see if I pop out of the stage or whatnot,” he said.

Travis has been supportive of Swift throughout her entire tour, flying to Argentina , Australia, Singapore, Ireland and more spots to watch her perform.

Meanwhile, a source told People this week that Swift plans to see as many NFL games as possible in the upcoming season to support him. While her tour won’t wrap until December, it won’t be the first time she’s jetted to an NFL game after hopping off stage.

Last season, she attended her lucky number 13 of Travis’ games. Fans closely tracked her after she rushed to her private jet following her Tokyo Eras Tour dates to make the 12-hour flight to watch her beau play in — and win — Super Bowl LVIII .

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Swift and Travis have been dating since July 2023 and made it clear they would shamelessly support each other — even if that meant being public with their romance.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she said during her Time 2023 Person of the Year profile interview.

“The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
