Joe Wilkinson began his comedy career in 2004 and has supported Stephen Merchant, Alan Carr and Russell Howard on tour, earning him critical acclaim and taking him on to become an award winning comedian and comedy actor. Joe's lo-fi delivery, knowingly shabby stage presence and hilarious self-depreciating material have made him one of the funniest stand-ups of the new generation. Joe plays the lonely, socially awkward neighbour Dan in Him & Her and has also written and starred in his own radio show Mash on BBC Radio 2 (series 1) and BBC Radio 4 (series 2). He has won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and appeared as a panellist on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Mock the Week and has also become a regular in the 8 Out of 10 Cats spin-off show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown as the assistant of Rachel Riley in the second half of the show. He has also appeared on Russell Howard's Good News, The Rob Brydon Show and Miranda. In 2008, 2009 and 2010 Joe Wilkinson took his own sketch show up to the Festival ‘Two Episodes of Mash' with Diane Morgan. The pair received great reviews and praise for the shows. Then in 2011, Joe took his first solo stand up show, My Mum is Called Stella and My Dad is Called Brian, to the Edinburgh Festival and then later on a national tour ending in December 2011.

What Joe Biden said in full in address to nation after Donald Trump shooting

P resident Joe Biden addressed the nation on Sunday evening following a Situation Room briefing about the assassination attempt on his predecessor, Donald Trump .

Speaking from the White House, Biden stated: "We need to lower the temperature in our politics. While we may disagree, we are not enemies. We are neighbours. We're friends, co-workers, citizens."

"Yesterday's shooting at Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania calls on all of us to take a step back, take stock of where we are, how we go forward from here."

Biden was quick to condemn the shooting and spoke to Trump in its aftermath. His campaign team is now dealing with the political implications of an attack on the man Biden hopes to defeat in the November election.

Biden's planned remarks come after homeland security and law enforcement officials briefed the president, and as the White House continued to call for national unity and condemn the shocking act of violence, reports the Express US .

Vice President Kamala Harris joined Biden for an update from top investigators, including Attorney General Merrick Garland, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and FBI Director Christopher Wray. Also participating were White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Kim Cheatle, director of the U.S. Secret Service.

Trump himself has issued a call for unity and national resilience with aids reporting that following an injury sustained in a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, he is in "great spirits and doing well". Despite his recent injury, Trump is determined to attend this week's Republican National Convention in Milwaukee where a fierce critique of Biden and the Democrats is anticipated.

After the shooting incident, the campaign for Biden's re-election announced it would be pausing "all outbound communications and working to pull down our television ads as quickly as possible."

The projected duration of this suspension remains uncertain. Following the events at the recent Trump rally, Biden has delayed his scheduled visit to Texas on Monday. He was due to give a speech marking the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act at the Lyndon B. Johnson presidential library, according to the White House.

Harris likewise has rescheduled her imminent political tour to Florida on Tuesday. She had designed a meet and greet with Republican women voters, now postponed due to Saturday's shooting incident, says a campaign official.

Investigations into what transpired are still in their infancy. Some critics of President Biden have highlighted comments he made in a private July 8 call to donors, indicating that "it's time to put Trump in the bullseye."

During this donor-focused call, Biden further stated: "I have one job and that's to beat Donald Trump... I'm absolutely certain I'm the best person to be able to do that."

He added: "So, we're done talking about the debate. It's time to put Trump in the bullseye. He's gotten away with doing nothing for the last 10 days except ride around in his golf cart, bragging about scores he didn't score... Anyway I won't get into his golf game."

Following the shooting incident on Saturday night, Biden was quick to denounce the attack on Trump's life. The White House confirmed that the two men had a conversation, though no further details were given.

"Look, there's no place in America for this kind of violence," Biden declared on Saturday night, swiftly returning to the White House from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he was spending the weekend. "It's sick. It's sick. It's one of the reasons why we have to unite this country. We cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this."

The warm-up set was dire, then things picked up when the second DJ came on, and Wilkinson the man himself was fucking mind-blowing. Great light show and effects so respect to the guys doing that.

They were absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was perfect. The 2 support acts were also good. Nothing could've been better! I think the music was perfect and the fact drum and bass can be played live is just even better. Every single sound was made live which is perfect. I was able to dance and enjoy my self. The venue was also good.

Loved the show specially liked the smoke and lasers !

Guest appearance by Wretch 32 for the new tune was big and of course the finale of Afterglow brought the house down .

His shows have included Two Episodes Of Mash and Original Review and he is a regular on Jimmy Carr's "8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown".

He played "Postman Pat" in Ricky Gervais' award-winning Netflix show, Afterlife.

Tours include: "My Mum's Called Stella & My Dad's Called Brian" and "The Joe Wilkinson Experience".

Joe has also made numerous appearances on television and has been touring solo since 2011. The PGA TOUR uses a standardized system for determining event fields based on the current season’s Priority Ranking while also including additional exemption and qualifying categories.

Field sizes can vary by event, as can the number of event-specific exemptions. Fully exempt PGA TOUR members are guaranteed entry into all full-field events, with various conditional categories subject to periodic reshuffles based upon FedExCup Points accrued throughout the season. Categories with "reshuffle" notation indicate that a reshuffle period has occurred.

Note: An additional year of eligibility was granted to some categories because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Team USA track and field roster for 2024 Olympics: Sha’Carri Richardson arrives

USA track and field Olympic trials concluded on June 30 at the Hayward Field Stadium. For almost a week, the world saw American athletes go neck-to-neck in competition to book their place in the Paris Olympics . The competition also saw several records being reset including the women's 400m hurdles world record. 

The records keep getting broken and set, but very few rise back from setbacks like Sha'Carri Richardson does. The world champion was all set to battle Jamaicans for 100m Olympic gold at the Tokyo Olympics before she was suspended for marijuana usage, which she later claimed she took to cope with the death of her biological mother. A year later, she failed to qualify for the World Championships.

However, it has been a dream run for Richardson since the start of 2023. From winning her maiden international title at the Doha Diamond League to becoming the world champion, the 24-year-old proved her doubters wrong. Richardson stormed to a world-leading 10.71s at the U.S. Olympic Trials, and now, she is an overwhelming favorite to end a long drought of 100m Olympic gold for the USA in Paris.

Noah Lyles will headline USA's sprinting medal aspirations alongside Kenny Bednarek and Fred Kerley. Lyles is an overwhelming favorite for the 200m gold, but he will have to battle and battle hard with Jamaicans over the 100m dash. Kerley is a medal contender over the 100m and has hit top form ahead of the Paris Olympics. So is Bednarek, who clocked lifetime best timings over both distances at the Olympic Trials in June.

USA field events will be headlined by two-time Olympic champion Ryan Crouser, who is vying for a historic third consecutive gold medal. He is joined by his teammate Joe Kovacs, who would have the eyes on gold after settling for silver behind Crouser in the last two editions.

Grant Halloway is an overwhelming favorite for the 110m hurdles, and so is he for the world record in the distance. Rai Benjamin will headline one of the fiercest battles at the Paris Olympics over the 400m hurdles with Norway's Karsten Warholm and Brazil's Alison Dos Santos.

While Sha'Carri Richardson leads USA's hopes of a sprinting gold medal over the 100m, Gabby Thomas will battle the fastest 200m woman alive Shericka Jackson over the half-lap event. The two are the USA's biggest hopes of ending the Jamaican dominance over these events.

There's an event where the Americans won't be feeling nervous whatsoever; it's women's 400m hurdles. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone lowered her world record for the fourth time at the U.S. Olympic Trials, and barring any unusual event, she may not just defend her Olympic gold at the Paris Olympics 2024, but break the world record again as well.

USA's gold medal hopes in the field events will rest on Tara Davis-Woodhall, Valarie Allman, and Katie Moon, all of whom are favorites in their respective events. Anna Hall will lead the Heptathlon competition.

Track and field events at the 2024 Paris Olympics will start on August 1 with men's 20km racewalk. The highly anticipated events such as women's 100m will start on August 2 inside the iconic Stade de France Stadium. The track and field events will conclude on 11th August with the women's marathon.

'Him & Her' star Joe Wilkinson heads on stand-up tour

Him & Her star Joe Wilkinson has confirmed details of an autumn UK stand-up tour.

Wilkinson, who played Dan in the BBC Three sitcom, will head out on the 'My Mum's Called Stella and My Dad's Called Brian' tour in October.

The nationwide jaunt kicks off on October 12 at Brighton Komedia and ends at the London Bloomsbury Theatre on December 6.

The comic will debut the show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.

Wilkinson was the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year winner in 2006, came runner-up in So You Think You're Funny in 2005 and formed duo Two Episodes of Mash with Diane Morgan. He is also currently recording his own Radio 2 series.

He will return for the second series of Him & Her when it airs on BBC Three in September.
