Most recently in November of 2022 Drake and 21 Savage came out with a collaborative studio album titled Her Loss . Drake Announces 2023 North American Tour With 21 Savage. Yes, It Includes a Stop in DC

The it's all a blur tour will come to d.c.'s capital one arena in late july, by the associated press • published march 13, 2023 • updated on march 13, 2023 at 2:24 pm.

Four-time Grammy-winner Drake is teaming up with collaborator 21 Savage for a North American arena tour this year — including a stop in D.C.

The It’s All a Blur Tour will kick off June 16 in New Orleans and will visit cities such as Dallas, Miami, New York, Montreal, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. After performances at Brooklyn's Barclays Center and Manhattan's Madison Square Garden, the tour will head south for a performance July 28 at D.C.'s Capital One Arena.

Locations for additional shows, including Toronto, will be announced later.

The Canadian rapper-singer and Spotify’s most-streamed artist in the U.S. last year put out two albums in 2022, “Honestly, Nevermind” and his collaboration with 21 Savage, “Her Loss.” His last headlining tour was in 2018.

During a show at the famed Apollo Theater earlier this year, he  hinted at a tour  and possibly even more music on the horizon.

Several of the stops will be two-night stands, including those in Atlanta, Boston and New York.

Presales  will be available through Cash App and Sprite beginning Wednesday. General sales will open Friday at noon.

Update : Drake is continuing to give his fans what they want. The artist announced on Friday (April 28) that he’s adding three more shows in addition to the dozen he had already tacked on to his It’s All a Blur tour earlier in the week due to fan demand. He has now added second shows to Columbus, Ohio (July 2); Austin (Sept. 12); and Charlotte, N.C., (Sept. 23).

Original story below:

How Should Drake Feel About a No. 2 Debut for ‘Search & Rescue’?

The rapper also announced new dates in Columbus, Memphis, Denver, Austin and Charlotte, as well as announcing a new pair of back-to-back shows in his hometown of Toronto to close out the now 54-date tour at Scotiabank Arena on Oct. 5 and 7.

In the meantime, some dates have also shifted around. The New Orleans, Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Miami and Atlanta dates — which were originally slated to take place between June 16 and July 2 will be rescheduled to take place between Sept. 14 and Oct. 2.

The All a Blur tour is Drake’s first headline run since the 2018 Aubrey & the Three Migos tour. Tickets for the new dates will go on sale beginning with Cash App Card and Sprite presales beginning Wednesday (April 26) at 12 p.m. local time through 10 p.m. local time on Thursday (April 27) for Cash App and Thursday at 10 a.m. local time for the Sprite presale, which runs through 10 p.m. that day; click here for more presale information. Drake first hinted that he would pull off a new set of songs, and a potential tour, in early 2023 during a weekend show set at the Apollo Theater in New York.

“I thought about a bunch of things in life, but at this moment in time, none of those things are stopping making music for you,” Drake said . “I hope I can strike up some more emotions for you, maybe this year — I might get bored and make another one.”

This tour will mark the second time that Drake has asked his collaborator 21 Savage, “ can you do something for me ?” and the first time the two toured together since the pandemic.

Representatives also tell WTOP that guests, including H.E.R., DJ Prince and Roy Woods will be at the tour’s D.C. stop.

Tickets will be available for presale Wednesday, with general sales opening Friday at noon.

Drake Added A Dozen Shows To His Highly-Anticipated ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ With 21 Savage

Megan Armstrong

Drake and 21 Savage initially unveiled their It’s All A Blur Tour in March. There was a promise for an announcement of more shows at a later date. Four days later, 12 shows were added . And today, April 24, another dozen were added, including back-to-back performances at Scotiabank Arena in Drake’s hometown Toronto on October 5 and October 7. October’s Very Own will handle those closing dates without 21 Savage.

According to a press release, Drake and Savage will perform four shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center instead of three — same goes for the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California — and It’s All A Blur will now snake through new cities such as Charlotte, Denver, and Memphis. Instead of hitting Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, New Orleans and Miami between June 16 and July 2, those dates will now take place between September 14 and October 2.

Just as with the original It’s All A Blur tour announcement , there will be a Cash App presale. It begins this Wednesday, April 26 at noon local time and extends through Thursday, April 27, at 10 p.m. local time. Early access to tickets for the new dates will be granted to Cash App holders who submit the first nine digits of their Cash App Card.

Drake Comes Out as Surprise Guest at Nicki Minaj's Toronto Tour Stop, Gives Her Kiss on the Cheek

Minaj showed love to Drizzy during her Pink Friday 2 World Tour after he caught heat from Kendrick Lamar on "Euphoria."

Nicki Minaj didn't hesitate to bring out her longtime Young Money partner and frequent collaborator, Drake , during a Toronto stop of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour.

Drizzy was a special guest at the Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday night (April 30), just hours after getting a fiery six-minute response from Kendrick Lamar on diss track "Euphoria."

But while the 6 God didn't speak on Lamar, he got major props from Minaj, who called him an "icon" and "legend" after performing their latest collaboration, "Needle." After giving Minaj a kiss on the cheek before she retreated backstage for a costume change, the venue went up when Drake performed "Rich Baby Daddy" off his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs .

Later, Drake teased a potential follow-up to his Lamar-aimed tracks "Push Ups" and "Taylor Made (Freestyle)," saying, "You know what time it is, you know what I gotta do," before exiting the stage.

Earlier in the day, Drake sent subliminal shots to Lamar on Instagram via liked posts before comparing "Euphoria" to a poetry scene from the 1999 romantic comedy 10 Things I Hate About You .

But last night wouldn't be the first time that Drake came through for Minaj on her recent tour. During some trouble at the Canadian border last month, causing her Montreal show to be delayed, the "Evil Ways" rapper "made a couple calls" for Minaj, which allowed her to perform three hours after her scheduled concert time.

Drake’s security guard shot at gate outside his home, police say

(Gray News) - Police in Toronto said a security guard was shot in the early morning hours at the gate outside Drake’s home.

Police said they responded to a report of a shooting in the upscale neighborhood where rapper Drake’s mansion is located in the early hours of Tuesday.

Authorities said via a social media post that a suspect of unknown description took off in a vehicle, and a man, later identified as the security guard, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He remains hospitalized.

The shooting happened at around 2:10 a.m. local time.

Authorities would not say whether Drake was home at the time of the shooting, but police told CNN the rapper and his team area cooperating with the investigation.

Drake has been much talked about recently amid a diss feud between him and fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Police didn’t disclose a motive in the shooting.

Man apprehended after trying to enter Drake’s home, authorities say

TORONTO (CTV Network) - A man was apprehended in Canada after he allegedly tried to enter rapper Drake’s Toronto home on Wednesday.

Police said they were called to the home after someone tried to gain access to the property.

The person was apprehended under Ontario’s Mental Health Act. That allows officers to take a person who they believe is suffering from a mental disorder in custody to seek treatment instead of arresting them.

It is unclear if Drake was inside the home at the time of the incident.

The apprehension comes just one day after a security guard working outside the gate was shot and taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Officials do not believe there is a link between the two incidents.

Police have not yet determined a motive to Tuesday’s shooting.

It occurred as Drake has been embroiled in a recent, and intensifying, feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.
