My husband and friend went on the high adventure snow mobile tour with Jeff as their guide. They said it was amazing and Jeff was a great guide to have. This was definitely the best tour for them to explore the back country and let loose. We will definitely be back to do another tour. Ask for Jeff!!!

Great time!! Thanks Jeff for being an awesome guide!!

Today, I saw the gate to Hell and it looked like the bottom of a Pit. Do you know what it takes to roll a snowmobile into a freezing miniature swamp? I do. But let's go back to the beginning. The base camp was pretty cool. It looked like they had a lot of activities besides snowmobiling, but I was too excited to get my grubby little hands on a snowmobile to pay much attention to anything else. Although, they DO provide shoes and snowgear. I highly recommend using their shoes. Just in case you too have the misfortune of running into the Pit. We started off on a small circuit to get used to the snowmobiles, which is so very necessary. It was also cool at this point they had mini snowmobiles for the kiddos. We didn't have any children in our party, it was just funny to watch this one kid go flying. But I had too much hubris. I flew too close to the sun. After we all got used to the snowmobiles they separated us into groups. We had 10 in our party, so Terry and Trent (?) split us up into two groups. An advanced group that could go a bit faster, and a slow group that took their time. And what do you know, I made the cut and was in the fast group! I was completely oblivious to the watery destiny that awaited me. The trails were amazing and fun, even with the warm weather lately. The guides really know what they're doing. Even though the snow was soft and a bit slushy in some places, the trails were fantastic. Here's the thing about snow, though: it melts in warm weather. Runs off into streams. Gets absorbed into the ground. Evaporates into the air. Creates abyssal Pits that will suck you straight into the realm of Pluto. You know, the usual. I'm going to cling to the last remaining shreds of my tattered dignity by first saying that it wasn't entirely my fault. Someone passed me, and when they did it was at a bad angle that cut me off, and obstructed my view of the Pit. By the time I saw it, it was too late. I was going in. Luckily, I was able to turn a little so I didn't do a nosedive straight into the Pit... Unluckily, I had slowed down to avoid running into the other driver. It started to tip. I abandoned ship. A smart person would jump off the snowmobile uphill. Into the nice fluffy snow. But I don't do well under pressure apparently, because I dove downwards, straight into muddy, freezing water. I jumped far enough that when the machine rolled, it didn't land on me but it ended up right side up. I, however, was stuck. In a swamp. A muddy not-quite river. I was quickly rescued and climbed out of the pit (after retrieving my shoe that almost got sucked into the underworld). The first attempts to get the snowmobile out of the pit ended up with me covered in snow, but it felt like I deserved that (thanks Terry). It took a while, but eventually 4 courageous men braved the Pit and were able to get the snowmobile out. I did not help. I really appreciated how cool everyone was, especially considering I held up like 3 different tours by driving into the Pit, and how quickly we got back to base camp so I could change into some dry clothes. Its been a long time since I've gone swimming in water that cold, but I had a great time, Pit notwithstanding. Thanks also to Catfish who ran his snowmobile into the same hole as me so I didn't feel like a total and complete idiot. Anyway, I had a great time and thanks guys for helping pull me and my sled out of the swamp. Because of this incident I am considering a career as an Alaskan Bush person. Terry I hope u get a date with the divorced girl.

Great company, and very professional staff. I have worked as an outdoor guide for years, and these guys are top notch. Ian and John, were exceptional! I would recommend White Mountain to anyone that is willing to listen.

We had such a great time on our tour. The guides were all great with amazing personalities. Made it fun. It was nice starting with a practice track and allowing our kids to drive the little snow mobiles which they loved. Then off to a tour in a smaller group. Great pace. Lots of fun and amazing views. Our guide Joe was lots of fun! We loved the photo package that got some great shots of all of us! Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience! We had a group of 6; 2 who did the Prospect Tour and 4 of us who did the Adventure Tour. All of us were talking about it nonstop on our way home! For the 4 of us who did the Adventure tour, we were beyond thrilled. Our tour guide, Alan, was helpful, informative, and a ton of fun! He took us on so many trails that had some of the most pristine back country that I've ever seen. We're all thrilled, and I can say for certain that if my family and I ever come back to visit Colorado we will be coming here for more snow mobiling! Make sure to tip them, they are amazing wonderful people who deserve every penny and more!! An additional bonus, the photographer who took our pictures was sweet and took great photos. A tad pricey, but they are worth the energy and work she puts into capturing the moments for you and your family!! And let's face it, if you're doing this, you're going to want to remember it, and her pictures are the way to go!!!

We stayed in Fairplay, Co. for a few days. Looking for something to do with the family and decided on the Prospector Tour. Everything was great, the only reason for 4 stars is the price. With a family of 6, sharing 3 snow mobiles, $600! OUCH. And, when finished, I was expected to tip the tour guide...forked over $20 at first, he was apparently disappointed so I gave him another $40. Hey White Mountain...how about being a bit more "family friendly?!" Ok, as for the tour itself. An absolute blast for 6 first time snowmobilers. Our guide, Talent (from California), was great. Very nice guy, knowledgeable of the area, overall great guy. They provided snow suits, helmets, boots, and goggles (we were told they didn't provide goggles and wasted time running all over everywhere looking for some...we bought cheap sunglasses since that's all we could find and they worked great). Also, we didn't need the boots because we already had them. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. I was worried that the Prospector tour would be a bit boring (labeled as a family tour) but it wasn't. We were able to drive the snowmobiles as fast we wanted to (they had a big oval "practice track" they we spent about 15 minutes on. A lot of fun since you could basically race around the track). Then we headed off on some gorgeous trails. Very, very, fun. Would like to do the performance tour next time...but at $165/person...next time would have to be just me and my wife...uggh. (Hint: GROUP/FAMILY discounts!!!!!)

We absolutely loved our Snowmobiling Tour today! It was so stinking cold but our tour guides made sure we were comfortable and even escorted us back to the bus to wait! They were SO kind and made the tour so fun!! We highly recommend! Our tour guides-- CT, Michael, Jay, and Tom also made the trip! They were the best!!!

Amazing experience! Everyone was friendly and helpful when we arrived. Had any gear you could possibly need (make sure to wear goggles and gloves). Easy to understand instructions of how to use the machine and a helpful practice run before the tour. Amazing views, fun stories about the town, amazing park. Loved it!
