FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hop-On Hop-Off tour buses operate from 9:30am to 5:30pm, 7-Days a week. First Service at each stop will be between 9:30am and 10:00am. Board by 4:00pm from Any Stop for Full Loop tour.

Tour service closes at 5:30pm – You should board around 4:00pm if wanting to return to a particular stop.

Yes, on a few days each year, city-wide street closures impact our route and we are unable to operate. Here are the upcoming 2022 and 2023 Black Out Dates:

• Mardi Gras – No Tours on the 5 Daytime Parade Days (two Saturdays, two Sundays, and Mardi Gras Tuesday).
• Mardi Gras – Limited Services are provided on the 5 Parade Nights where streets are closed to vehicles between 3pm and 4pm .

City Guides, founded in 1978, is an independent 501c3 non-profit organization with more than 300 trained volunteers who lead FREE historical and architectural walking tours in San Francisco for over 35,000 locals and visitors each year. BAY CITY, MI – The drive north can be long and tedious, depending on where in Michigan you live. It’s a good thing then that you can stop halfway on your trek along I-75 and pull off in Bay City, where you can enjoy a boat cruise without putting another 100 to 200 miles behind you.

That’s where Bay City Boat Lines, which was founded in 1998, comes in. A third-generation family operation that currently owns two ships stationed on the Saginaw River, the boat line gives anyone interested a direct route from the shores of downtown Bay City to the wide waters of the Saginaw Bay through its series of tours.

Depart at 1:00 pm, and return at 3:00 pm most Saturday afternoons. Private tours can be scheduled on other days with a minimum of 30 passengers.

Our Saginaw River Guided Tours feature a live tour guide with a presentation highlighting the sights along the river, history, wildlife viewing, and things to do in the area. This relaxing afternoon trip provides light commentary and time for families and friends to enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed setting. Concession items include light snacks , soft drinks and adult beverages from the Wake View Bar.

Free History Tours are brought to you by local sponsors and highlight the History of our community along the Saginaw River. Due to limited availability, households may request up to four tickets once per season.

Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance. Tours will be offered for a limited time, Monday through Thursday at 10:00 am only. We usually offer 4 to 5 weeks of tours in July.
